President Trump is Laying the Groundwork for Executive Action on the Border Situation

Today’s Campaign Update

(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

There is just no good reason why any average citizen needs to own g…er…knives? – The murder rate in London surpassed that of New York City for the first time ever in February, as Islamic-driven knife killings continue to grow in the gun-banning metropolis.  As of this writing, no one at CNN had asked David Hogg for his views on London’s pressing need to ban knives.  But it seems to be just a matter of time.

Speaking of the ever-more annoying Mr. Hogg, he’s gonna have some ‘splainin’ to do with his CNN masters next time he goes in for an interview.  That’s because on Sunday he made the mistake of posing for a photo with Javier Manjarres, a Republican congressional candidate who is challenging Democrat incumbent Ted Deutch.

As if the sin of paling around with a – gasp! – Republican wasn’t damning enough in the eyes of everyone at the fakest of all fake news outlets, Hogg’s error was made even more unforgivable by the fact that Manjarres was wearing a t-shirt that depicts President Donald Trump urinating on the CNN logo (see below).  Oh, my, CNN might have to go find itself another gun-banning teenager to exploit.

Headlines we never saw during the Obama years… – The Wall Street Journal reports that the big economic issue facing Iowa and much of the rest of the American midwest is that there are too many jobs and not enough workers to fill them.

According to the Journal:

“It is a problem playing out in many parts of the Midwest, a region with lower unemployment and higher job-opening rates than the rest of the country. Employers, especially in more rural areas, are finding that there are just too few workers. That upends a long-running view in Washington, D.C., and many state capitals, where policy makers often say the unemployed simply lack the skills to get hired.”

Should the pace of economic growth and job creation experienced in the 14 months of the Trump Administration continue for another 14 months, this midwest-based “problem” will inevitably spread to other parts of the country.  This is an almost inevitable outcome as the overall economy approaches full employment.

Of course, there will be exceptions to the rule, isolated pockets of the country where chronic unemployment levels will persist and people will remain addicted to the public dole.  Those pockets of economic under-performance are easy to predict:  They go by names like Chicago, Washington, DC, Baltimore, Detroit, Los Angeles, San Francisco, New Orleans, Philadelphia and other big cities that have been governed by Democrats for decades.  It’s the way Democrat politicians like it to be.

DACA is dead, and NAFTA could be next, if Mexican officials don’t act to halt the caravan of more than 1200 Central American nationals that has been making its way through their country unimpeded over the last few days.  At least, that’s what President Trump said on his Twitter feed yesterday and early this morning, and as we have seen so many times in the past, the President doesn’t just toss stuff like this out there for no good reason.

The tweet storm began on Sunday morning, with these two Presidential messages:

“Border Patrol Agents are not allowed to properly do their job at the Border because of ridiculous liberal (Democrat) laws like Catch & Release. Getting more dangerous. “Caravans” coming. Republicans must go to Nuclear Option to pass tough laws NOW. NO MORE DACA DEAL!”

and..

“Mexico is doing very little, if not NOTHING, at stopping people from flowing into Mexico through their Southern Border, and then into the U.S. They laugh at our dumb immigration laws. They must stop the big drug and people flows, or I will stop their cash cow, NAFTA. NEED WALL!”

Mr. Trump expanded on this theme with three more tweets this morning, concluding with:

“DACA is dead because the Democrats didn’t care or act, and now everyone wants to get onto the DACA bandwagon… No longer works. Must build Wall and secure our borders with proper Border legislation. Democrats want No Borders, hence drugs and crime!”

So, after 7 months of publicly holding out hope that the cynical Democrats might want to make a deal in which DACA gets extended in exchange for wall funding and other immigration reforms, the President has finally figured out that the Dems never had any intention of making any such deal, preferring instead to keep the DACA kids in limbo so they can exploit the issue in the November midterm elections.  Ok, he knew that all along, but it’s good to see him abandoning all pretense, and calling things as they really are.

The problem the President has here is that there is literally no reason at all to expect the Senate Republicans to “go nuclear” or even lift a finger at all in an effort to change the immigration laws.  At least half of the GOP caucus in the senate favors chain migration and the insane “diversity lottery” system in their eagerness to attract campaign money from the U.S. Chamber of Commerce.

Sadly, it is up to the President alone to stop the ongoing invasion coming across our southern border.  If the President wants to build his long-promised wall, he’ll have to find a way to get it done using his emergency powers and the defense budget, as we discussed last week.  Expecting Paul Ryan and Mitch McConnell to do anything about it is just a waste of time and energy.

Given the President’s past use of his Twitter feed as a prelude to taking action, we should expect him to take some form of emergency executive action to address the border situation in the coming days.

Just another day in the southern invasion continues and congress doesn’t care America.

That is all.

Mike Murphy Rolls Out Another Example of NeverTrump Nitwittery

Today’s Campaign Update

(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

Hey, everybody, Mike Murphy’s organized a new gig for himself, aren’t you excited?  Um, well, who’s this Mike Murphy, you ask? Are you kidding me?  You don’t know who Mike Murphy is?  Wow, where have you been?

Ok, seriously, there isn’t really much reason why you should have any idea who this guy is, unless you make a habit of studying epic failure.  Murphy, a guy who bills himself as “one of the Republican Party’s most successful political media consultants,” is so darn successful that he boasts a list of past clients that include failed 1996 presidential nominee Bob Dole, failed 2008 nominee John McCain, failed 2012 nominee Mitt Romney, and of course, epically failed 2016 GOP nomination candidate JEB!  Yes, that JEB!, the JEB! who wasted well over $150 million one one of the most hilariously awful media campaigns in modern times, the JEB! who began the race as the overwhelming favorite to claim the GOP nomination and ended up having to pull out after the South Carolina primary without having even come close to winning a single contest.

Yes, this is THAT Mike Murphy.  That guy.

This is the Mike Murphy who last August told CNN’s fake interviewer Chris Cillizza that “Post-election Donald Trump will be alone, despised by his own party, a failure rebuked by the nation, and politically neutered even more than he is today.”  Today, 7 months later, Donald Trump has a job-approval rating higher than Barack Obama held at the same point in his first term in office, is supported by about 85% of the GOP voter base, has accomplished more in his first 14 months in office than any modern president and is presiding over a booming economy that is achieving 3% growth quarter after quarter and is nearing full employment.

This Mike Murphy guy will never make a living as a sooth-sayer.  I’d say he should keep his day job if he weren’t such a failure at it.

But Mike Murphy clearly has a talent, and that talent happens to be convincing high-profile Republican political candidates to let him waste millions and millions of their dollars on epically-failed media campaigns.  Just ask Meg Whitman, who let Murphy waste $150 million of her own money on an utterly failed run for California governor in 2010.

So, why am I talking about Mike Murphy this morning?  Because Mr. Murphy has decided that President Trump needs to face a GOP opponent in the 2020 Republican nomination contest, and he is just the guy to manage the campaign to mount that challenge.  To that end, the self-absorbed clown has formed what he is calling the “NeverTrump War Room,” from which he will presumably raise a bunch of money from the same class of big-money idiots who funded his JEB! brainchild, and which he will use to attract some political juggernaut – like Arizona Senator Jeff Flake and his 18% constituent job approval rating – to challenge the incumbent President in his pursuit of a second term.

Bragging that “after 30 years in politics I’ve seen how fast support can crumble,” – a personal talent to which Dole, McCain, Romney, Whitman and JEB! can certainly attest – Murphy speculates that all the agonisties currently tormenting the President will turn out to be just too much for rank and file Republicans to take come 2020, and they will be pining for a new candidate to lead them out of the low-tax, 3% economic growth and 3% unemployment “wilderness” that NeverTrump morons so detest.

When that happens, Mike Murphy plans to be right there waiting, with a NeverTrump war chest overflowing with money to be wasted on some famous white guy who sounds suspiciously like…wait for it…oh, you have to wait for this one…MITT ROMNEY!  I’m not kidding – here it is in Murphy’s own words from his Politico column of March 28:

“Who could run? It’s far too early to name names, but for a tested, highly competent potential contender with immaculate conservative credentials, I’d keep an eye on political developments in Utah.”

But hey, if the GOP voter base turns out to not exactly be pining for a rerun of Romney’s stunningly inept campaign of 2012, Murphy has another model for the perfect candidate, who unsurprisingly sounds exactly like Sen. Flake, who became so detested by voters in his home state he decided to not even seek re-election:

“Another potential archetype would be a candidate promising a return to conservative ideological purity after three big-spending years of braying populism. There is no shortage of potential “real conservatives”—many promising generational change as well—itching to run for president.”

It is this special kind of “genius” – the kind that can continue to milk lame-brained wealthy Republican donors of millions and millions of dollars with promises of this kind of epic failure-in-the-making – that sets Mike Murphy apart from his competitors.  You know, those competitors who actually like to win elections from time to time.

So, will Murphy succeed in his goal to raise another couple hundred million to waste on yet another epic failure in 2020?  The smart money says there is plenty of stupid money out there to allow Murphy to extend his epic losing streak.

The smart money also says that President Trump isn’t real concerned about the NeverTrump War Room.  In fact, he probably welcomes it, since it shows his enemies in the Republican Party still have no clue whatsoever.

Just another day in NeverTrump nitwittery America.

That is all.

Hillary Clinton: That Party Guest Who Just Won’t Shut Up and Leave

Today’s Campaign Update

(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

It’s not because you’re a woman.  It’s because you’re so incredibly tiresome. – The Pantsuit Princess, dressed in her favorite Dr. Evil attire, complained to an audience that she is tired of being told by fellow Democrats to stop running around the world blaming everyone but herself for her loss in the 2016 election.  The Fainting Felon whined that “no one ever told a man (who’d lost a presidential election) to go away.”  She then cited Al Gore, John Kerry, John McCain and Mitt Romney as examples.

Of course, as with literally every other word that escapes from the Coughing Crook’s lips in public, this latest in such a long, long list of complaints is an outright lie.  Of the four examples she cites, there were all manner of Democrats at the time telling the incessantly complaining and lying Al Gore and John Kerry to just go away and shut up already after they, too, went around the country whining about how mean ol’ George W. Bush had done all sorts of things to “steal” the 2000 and 2004 elections from them.  Gore was especially resented by Democrats who just wanted to move on for his refusal to just. shut. UP. before he decided to shift gears and go get rich from mounting his global warming scam.

As for McCain and Romney, well, they’re Republicans (ok, well, McCain is sort of a Republican, anyway), and when Republicans lose a presidential election, they accept their defeat and move on, so yes, no one had to tell them to go away.  Even Richard Nixon, after having the 1960 election stolen from him by John F. Kennedy’s mob associates, decided to just accept the result and stay quiet about it for the good of the country.

But of course, with the Grasping Grifter, the good of the country never comes to mind.  It’s all about her.  Everything is and always has been all about her.

In the end, Hillary is like that drunk guy at the party who just won’t go home, still sitting on your sofa at 3:00 in the morning asking for another beer and telling annoying stories you’ve heard a thousand times before.  You know, the guy you have to escort out your front door and shove into the Uber you called for him so he won’t kill himself trying to drive home.  That guy.

Just as that guy never goes away voluntarily, no one should expect the Whining Wino’s worldwide whining tour to end anytime soon.

If you want to own a Tesla, you probably better go get one soon. – The shaky electric car maker Tesla announced on Friday that it is having to recall almost half of the automobiles it has manufactured in its entire history due to corroding bolts that threaten the loss of power steering.

This new recall of more than 123,000 of the company’s Model S sedans comes amid ongoing issues that have prevented the production of more than a handful of the company’s new, more compact Model 3 sedans, and CEO Elon Musk’s struggles to raise more money to keep his chronically unprofitable company afloat.  This is a company whose business model only “works” when it is propped up by massive taxpayer subsidies and a stellar PR campaign consisting of a never-ending series of bold promises for the future.  Even with billions of dollars worth of those subsidies, Tesla has only managed to turn a “profit” in two calendar quarters during its entire existence, and the constant churning of unfulfilled promises suffers from the law of diminishing returns over time.

Tesla’s stock has lost 1/3rd of its value in recent weeks, and that selloff promises to continue next week after the latest recall announcement, which came after markets closed.  Barring an influx of new, highly-risky private equity, the company seems on the verge of running out of cash in the near future, and may have to resort to issuing a round of new stock, which would diminish the value of current shares even further.

Musk has repeatedly proven to be very adept at finding the money necessary to keep his company afloat in the near term, and will likely find a way to keep it going this time as well.  But in the longer term, Tesla sure looks like a proverbial house of cards that appears destined to at some point collapse under the weight of its fundamental inability to produce cars at a competitive price.  You know, like every other auto maker on the face of the earth must do in order to survive.

Just another day in the Pantsuit Princes won’t go away willingly America.

That is all.

Jeff Sessions Don’t Need No Stinking Second Special Counsel

Today’s Campaign Update

(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

Three weeks ago, on March 8, I pointed out that Attorney General Jeff Sessions had dropped a little bomb into the mix, one that hardly anyone in the fake news media managed to notice, when he told Fox News’s Shannon Bream that:

“I have appointed a person outside of Washington, many years in the Department of Justice (DOJ), to look at all the allegations that the House Judiciary Committee members sent to us; and we’re conducting that investigation.”

At that time, the Attorney General gave no indication as to the identity of this “person outside of Washington,” but it was reasonable to conclude that said person was investigating the myriad very credible allegations that various members of the anti-Trump cabal within the FBI and Department of Justice had violated the FISA law during and after the 2016 presidential campaign.

Lo and behold, in the midst of a growing cacophony of demands by Republican members of congress that Sessions appoint a second special counsel to investigate the FISA abuse scandal, on Thursday Sessions sent a letter to congress in which he unveiled the name of that non-Washington person:  U.S. Attorney John W. Huber, who is based in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Even better, the AG reminded congress that, in a letter way back last November 13, Assistant AG Stephen Boyd had already notified the legislative branch that Mr. Huber’s investigation was well underway:

Uh, well, all the Republicans in congress apparently failed to read that one.  No one in the fake news media gave it any notice, either.  But there it is, in black and white.

Oh, but it gets even better.  In his letter yesterday, Sessions also let it be known that Huber has been conducting his investigation in cooperation with…wait for it…Inspector General Michael Horowitz.  Another bomb dropped.

Hey, it gets even better than that.  It is probably not a coincidence that the Sessions letter to congress comes on the same day that fired ex-Deputy FBI Director and key anti-Trump cabal member Andrew McCabe created a legal defense fund for himself.   (Let’s all note the irony of a career federal employee who has somehow cobbled together a net worth of more than $11 million while making a government salary asking the little people to pay his high-powered lawyers for him.)

Nor is it likely a coincidence that McCabe’s move comes on the day after a Minneapolis FBI agent, Terry Albury, was indicted for – guess what? – criminal leaking to the news media, the same crime McCabe committed and lied at least four times about to the Inspector General and the Office of Professional Responsibility.  But of course, most of the fake news media completely missed this part of the story, and all the connections detailed above.

Instead, the Usual Suspects in America’s grand pantheon of fake media outlets are portraying the Thursday Sessions letter to congress as if Sessions is basically refusing to do anything, complete with quotes from angry Republicans who also aren’t connecting these dots condemning the AG for refusing to appoint another Special Counsel.

The reality, as is generally the case with our fake news media, is exactly the opposite.  As I pointed out when Sessions dropped his bomb on March 8, you have to look at all of this from the AG’s point of view.  After all, he has an ongoing investigation that has been underway for months, since at least last November and probably well before then.  Why would he interrupt all that work that’s already been done by appointing some new guy to come in, take weeks or months to get organized, and then go over all the same ground that’s already been covered by Mr. Huber and his staff, working as they are in conjunction with IG Horowitz and his staff of 470 people?

Given the manner in which the law has been abused against Republicans over the years, Sessions most likely has a proper disdain for the special counsel law in general, and is reluctant to use it unless it becomes absolutely necessary.  Robert Mueller’s conduct in his assignment thus far has only given thinking Americans much more cause to regard the law as the American Prosecutorial Abuse Act that it is.  Why create another monster using that law when you already have an investigation that has been underway for months, one that may very well already have a grand jury convened and be preparing to issue indictments when the IG’s report from his own investigation is made public?

If you want to politicize the process – as Rod Rosenstein did – then you appoint a Special Counsel and let him spend months and years abusing people’s rights in the pursuit of an array of irrelevant process crimes and indictments of foreign nationals who will never be brought to trial.  But if you want to bring people to justice for real crimes against this country, AG Sessions obviously believes the best way to do it is within the confines and processes of the justice system as it was set up in the U.S. constitution.

Some are speculating that what Sessions really has Huber and Horowitz doing is laying the groundwork for the appointment of a second special counsel after the Horowitz report has been released.  I don’t agree with that, for the reasons laid out above.  Working together, Huber and Horowitz have every power possessed by a special counsel:  Given that, why would the AG reinvent the wheel just at the cusp of issuing indictments and perp-walking the wrongdoers?  Makes no sense to me.

What does make logical sense is that Sessions believes his Justice Department is capable of actually doing its mandated job.  It’s sort of amazing that people who call themselves conservatives object to that approach.

Just another day in Jeff Sessions don’t need no stinking second special counsel America.

That is all.

Why Stormy Daniels Just Doesn’t Matter

Today’s Campaign Update

(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

Tired of all this Winning yet? – ABC found out on Wednesday night that maybe being just another media mouthpiece for the Democrat Party isn’t such a great deal after all.  The reboot of a Donald Trump-loving Roseanne scored the highest ratings for any network comedy in years, as 18 million Americans tuned in to watch the comedic fireworks.

By comparison, this season’s other big network comedy reboot, of NBC’s Trump-hating Will & Grace, debuted to a comparatively paltry audience of 10 million viewers last fall.  This coming fall, we will see if CBS can learn from ABC’s example with its own reboot of Murphy Brown (I actually thought Candice Bergen had died.  Guess not.).  The safe bet is that CBS will have learned nothing, and that Murphy Brown will be the same old, tiresome Republican bashing vehicle it was 30 years ago.

Which is fine because, at the end of the day, who really cares?

Ok, so, several readers have in recent days asked me why I haven’t talked about the whole Stormy Daniels thing, so I guess I ought to address that here.

It is true that I have avoided using any precious space here talking about a porn star and her allegations that she had a torrid love affair with President Trump a dozen years ago.  The reason for that is simple:  It doesn’t matter.

Look, Stormy Daniels is to be pitied – she is a very pathetic public figure who has led the most awful life imaginable to this point – but that doesn’t mean she matters in the grand scheme of things.  What she has been for the last month or so is a very convenient excuse for the sleaze bags who run CNN and MSNBC to run the same, repeating, titillating photos of a voluptuous woman repeatedly, hour after hour, day after day, week after week, as a means of demeaning the sitting President of the United States and the office he holds.

She is, in a word, convenient.  She is a convenient tool to be used in support of the media narrative that Donald Trump is not fit to hold the office he currently holds, and once her utility has run its course with the cynical creeps who run the nation’s fake national news media outlets, she will be dropped like a hot potato by her current media facilitators.

There are several reasons why she doesn’t matter:

  • First, name one person you know who voted for Donald Trump in 2016 because they thought Trump was a choir boy.  Go ahead, I’ll wait…Ok, can’t do it, right? Right.  That’s my point.  Nobody – and I do mean NOBODY – voted for Trump because he had a great history of marital fidelity.  Matter of fact, everybody who voted for Trump did so in spite of the fact that he had gone through two divorces and had likely cheated on his current wife. These facts of his life were well known, and 63 million Trump voters decided they just do not care.
  • Second, the Democrats and fake journalists using Stormy Daniels to go after Trump have zero moral authority to do so.  These are, by and large, the very same fake journalists and Democrats who spent Bill Clinton’s entire second term trying to convince the public that oral sex is not sex, and a sitting President banging a 23 year-old intern in the Oval Office just did not matter.  Sorry guys, the whole “Presidents should be as pure as the driven snow” ship has sailed, and you’re the ones who hoisted the mainsail on that one.
  • Third, this is all old stuff.  Again, the alleged affair Ms. Daniels talks about supposedly took place a full decade before Trump even announced his presidential candidacy.  If we weren’t supposed to be concerned about a sitting President conducting affairs in the Oval Office, why in the world should we be worried about a relationship between two consenting adults that happened during the George W. Bush Administration?
  • Fourth, please don’t give me any feminist crap, ok?  Again, we’re talking about what is an alleged affair between two consenting adults.  Bill Clinton was credibly accused of outright rape by two different women – Juanita Broderick and Kathleen Willey – and the reaction of the feminist crowd was to vilify the women, not the dominant male who was abusing them.  No one is accusing Trump of doing anything the women involved did not agree to do.

So, sorry all you liberal hypocrites, but this is just a non-issue, a media obsession that is doing no harm at all to President Trump, as evidenced by his job approval numbers, which have held steady throughout this media-generated non-scandal.

Stormy Daniels is a sad, pathetic figure who just doesn’t matter.  And I won’t be talking about her again, so don’t bother to ask.  Thanks.

Just another day in Stormy Daniels doesn’t matter America.

That is all.

Tuesday Was a Really Bad Day for Gun-Banning Liberals

Today’s Campaign Update

(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

Tired of all this Winning yet? – Former leftwing Supreme Court Justice John Paul Stevens – otherwise known as Nixon’s Folly – suggested in a NYTimes op-ed on Tuesday that the right to keep and bear arms is a “relic of the 18th century” and that the time has come to repeal the 2nd Amendment to the Constitution.  Liberals all over America who have spent the last month claiming in their anti-gun frenzy since the school shootings in Parkland, Florida are not about repealing the 2nd Amendment nodded in agreement as they read Stevens’ remarks.

Stevens’ comments are wholly un-helpful to either side in the debate over guns, since the reality on the ground is that it is simply not possible to put together the 2/3rds majorities in both houses of congress and 3/4ths of the 50 states that would be required to achieve the repeal of a constitutional amendment.  But then, few things Stevens has done in his entire adult life have been helpful to this country.

Washington Post writer Aaron Blake thinks Stevens’ op-ed was most un-helpful to Democrats, calling it “supremely un-helpful”, and saying that “One of the biggest threats to the recovery of the Democratic Party these days is overreach.”  Well, hell, when has the Democrat Party ever not over-reached?  Hard to remember, but I’m sure there must have been some past example.  And on the gun debate, the Party’s obvious desire has always been to ultimately disarm the public.  At least Stevens was being honest about it, in direct contrast to Democrat politicians.

But Blake’s piece gets even better:  “The [Stevens op-ed] might as well be considered an in-kind contribution to the National Rifle Association, to Republicans’ efforts to keep the House and Senate in 2018, and to President Trump’s 2020 reelection bid. In one fell swoop, Stevens has lent credence to the talking point that the left really just wants to get rid of gun ownership and reasserted the need for gun-rights supporters to prevent his ilk from ever being appointed again (with the most obvious answer being: Vote Republican).”  Blah-blah-blah, talkingpoint, talkingpoint, talkingpoint.  Ok, it really didn’t get better after all.

So, ex-justice Stevens turns out to be an equal-opportunity irritant:  he’s managed to tick off everyone on both sides of the gun debate.  It seems pretty clear he’d do best to just slink back off into the obscurity in which he’s been living since retiring his Supreme Court seat and leave the country to deal with the issue without his “help”.

Speaking of wholly un-helpful liberals who’d do best to remain in obscurity, former President Jimmy Carter was also in the news on Tuesday.  In an interview with USA Today, Carter called President Donald Trump’s decision to bring in John Bolton as his new National Security Advisor a “disaster for our country.”  And hey, Jimmy Carter is a guy who knows disasters for our country, having created so many of them himself over the last 42 years.

No one has any idea why Carter chose now to reappear on the public stage after a long period of relative quiet, but the one-term presidential failure is probably sitting there looking at all the septuagenarians and octogenarians lining up to run for the Democrat nomination in 2020 thinking, “shoot, I’m only 93, why not me?”

If you’re keeping score at home, Carter’s outburst now leaves the hapless Democrat Party with the current roster of prominent spokesmen:

  • Nation of Islam bigot Louis Farrakhan;
  • 93 year-old ex-President Jimmy Carter;
  • 18 year-old high school demagogue David Hogg;
  • 78 year-old budding pugilist Joe Biden;
  • Fake Indian Senator Elizabeth Warren;
  • Communist Senator Bernie Sanders.

This is not a lineup destined for the political dominance the Democrats desire.

Hey, about those “in-kind contributions” to the NRA that Aaron Blake talked about… – All the furor over gun control has had a very predictable result over at the NRA:  the organization is raising tons of new money.  The Washington Free Beacon reports that the NRA PAC’s collections in February came in at 300 percent above its collections in January.  No doubt March’s contributions to the organization will be even higher.

This money is not coming in from a handful of large contributors, either:  Fully 88 percent of the funds came in from individuals giving less than $200 each.  That’s a lot of folks.  Do the math.

Bottom line, Tuesday was a really, really bad day for Democrats on the issue of gun confiscation.

Just another day in Democrats want to take your guns America.

That is all.

It’s Come to This: Democrats Oppose a Question About Citizenship

Today’s Campaign Update

(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

Tired of all this Winning yet? – The Dow closed up 669 points on Monday because traders figured out that – guess what? – there’s not going to be a trade war after all.  Turns out that – for the 10,000th time, dammit – President Trump is not the raging idiot the fake news media portrays him to be, and just as importantly, the Chinese aren’t morons, either.  Both sides realize a trade war is not any good for anyone, and are busily engaged in getting to a renegotiated trade equation with which both nations can live.

As I and many others have continued to point out, President Trump is using the threat of these heavy tariffs as tools for leverage in negotiations.  If everyone can hold off having a nervous breakdown for a few more weeks, we will wake up one morning and find that our country has landed in a much more advantageous trading position with China, Japan and other nations.

Unbridled hubris in action. – Speaking to an audience in Japan, Barack Hussein Obama said he wants to “create a hundred or a thousand or a million young Barack Obamas or Michelle Obamas.”  Think of the massive ego it takes to have doing that as your life’s vision.  Then think of the level of damage a million little Obamas could wreak on our society.  Ok, wait – don’t do that.  You’ll never sleep again.

Is Paul Ryan planning to resign?  After that Omnibus bill, would anybody really care? – Congressman Paul Amodei (R-NV) told reporters on Monday that rumors swirling around the nation’s capital have House Speaker Paul Ryan resigning the speaker’s job “in the next 30-60 days.”  While that wouldn’t come as a complete shock, everyone should take a “believe it when we see it” attitude towards a rumor being repeated by a back bench congressman who admits to having no inside information about the situation.  The rumor mill never stops running on Capitol Hill, and we’ve seen such rumors about Ryan before.

This is only controversial among Democrats who love those illegal voters. – Commerce Secretary Wilbur Ross announced that the Census Bureau will be adding a new question to the 2020 census forms:  “Are you a U.S. citizen?”  Democrats and leftwing activists, of course, will be tossing hissy fits of rage about adding this simple and very useful question onto the form.

Right on cue, Kristen Clarke, president and executive director of the Lawyers’ Committee for Civil Rights Under Law, told some fake reporter at CNN that “This is an arbitrary and untested decision that all but guarantees that the Census will not produce a full and accurate count of the population as the constitution requires.” The execrable California Attorney General Xavier Becerra accused Ross and the Administration of  trying to “hijack the 2020 census for political purposes.”

The reasons for adding this question back onto the census form are numerous:  1) to give a sovereign nation an accurate count of the number of actual citizens who reside within its newly-enforced borders; 2) to give a sovereign nation an accurate estimate of the real number of illegal aliens who reside within its borders; and 3) to form an accurate count of citizens in order to properly draw congressional districts.

As Kansas Secretary of State Kris Kobach told Breitbart news:

“Right now, congressional districts are drawn up simply based on the number of warm bodies in each district. Not only are legal aliens counted, but illegal aliens are counted too. As a result, citizens in a district with lots of illegal aliens have more voting power than citizens in districts with few illegal aliens.

Think of it this way. There are about 710,000 people in each congressional district. But, if half of the district is made up of illegal aliens, then there are only 355,000 citizens in the district. The value of each citizen’s vote in such a district is twice as high.”

Of course, Democrats all over the country work very hard every election cycle to find ways to enable illegal non-citizens to vote, because they’ll pretty much always vote Democrat.  Democrats also know than an accurate count of the number of illegals currently in the country is going to be a very, very big number, much bigger than the “11 million” they’ve been tossing around by rote for more than a decade.  They know that revealing an accurate estimate of the magnitude of the illegal population will shock many citizens, providing added momentum to the Trump Administration’s ongoing efforts to enforce the border.

Never, never forget this key fact:  Democrats favor flooding the nation with illegal immigrants because they view those illegal immigrants as a future voter bloc.  Once you accept that simple reality, their seemingly irrational opposition to something as simple as a citizenship question on the census form makes perfect sense.

Just another day in Democrats undermining the very idea of America.

That is all.

It Was a Big Fake News Weekend for America’s Fake News Media

Today’s Campaign Update

(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

Tired of all this Winning yet? – Three new polls were released this past week showing that, despite the ongoing anti-Republican onslaught by the fake news media, the generic congressional preference measure leading into the mid-term elections continues to narrow.  On Sunday, Fox News released its new Opinion Dynamics poll, which shows the measure narrowing from a 15 percent Democrat advantage in November to just 5 percent today.  Marist also released its latest survey, which also pegs the Democrat edge at 5 percent.  A couple of days earlier, Reuters/Ipsos said its newest data shows the Democrat lead down to just 3 percent.

Make no mistake about it:  The Democrats do currently have a real advantage in voter enthusiasm, and we see evidence of that every day.  That edge is likely higher today than it was a week ago in the wake of the GOP congress’s passage of that horrific Omnibus bill on Friday.  But more than 6 months remain until Election Day, so President Donald Trump and the GOP have plenty of time to create some voter enthusiasm on their side as well.

President Trump has repeatedly proven himself to be capable of doing that.  The rest of the GOP?  Not so much.  Still, if we are still seeing congressional preference polls with such narrow margins come November, Democrats will find themselves disappointed yet again when the vote counts start coming in.

Yeah, so, who’s counting? – Speaking of Democrat voter drive opportunities, the “March for our Lives” rallies took place on Saturday, and the fake news media did all it could to glorify all who took part in them, and vilify all who did not.  Because, after all, that’s what today’s fake journalists get paid to do.

Immediately after the rally in Washington, D.C. had concluded, fake news media outlets breathlessly reported the attendance to have been as high as 800,000, which, if accurate, would have made it the largest such rally in D.C. history.  Organizers of the event had been a little more conservative in their estimates of the crowd size, pegging it more in the range of 500,000 to 600,000, which would still be a record for those who are keeping score at home.

Unfortunately for everyone, an independent, non-political firm out of Virginia begs to differ with those estimates.  Digital Design & Imaging Service, which uses flyover imaging of such crowds as the basis for forming its calculations, told CBS News that the turnout for the event was more in the range of 200,000 at its early-afternoon peak.

That’s still a big bunch of people, and wasn’t it just great seeing all those teenagers exercising their constitutionally-guaranteed freedom to protest against…um….well, ok, they were protesting against their constitutionally-guaranteed freedoms.

Meanwhile, Broward County Sheriff Scott Israel, whose gross incompetence and shameful grasping for money led directly to the tragic school killings that germinated Saturday’s protest marches, still has a job.  As always seems to be the case when abject failures by leftwing government officials lead to tragedy, no one who was really responsible is being held accountable.  The fact that Israel still has his job more than a month after the atrocity that his negligence caused is an insult to every American.

Facebook is losing favor with the public, according to opinion polls in the U.S. and Germany published over the weekend.  The only question I have is, why?

Of all the fake scandals made up by our fake news media hacks at CNN and elsewhere, this ongoing attack on Facebook may well be the fakest of them all.  There is literally nothing new in what Facebook is being accused of having done in its unethical sharing of user data with the Cambridge Analytica firm.  Nothing.  Not one damn thing.

Facebook has been unethically sharing its user data with all manner of firms and political campaigns pretty much since its inception.  Numerous former Obama campaign officials have now publicly stated that they had exactly the same access to your Facebook data during the 2008 and 2012 campaigns.  The fake media knew about this, even reported on it, and there was no scandal about it.

The only difference today is that Cambridge Analytica temporarily did work for the Trump Campaign, an unforgivable act of evil in the collective hive mind of the fake journalist fake profession.  Thus, Facebook, whose own evil minions worked as hard as they could possibly work to tilt the 2016 election in favor of Hillary Rotten Clinton, has suddenly become the fake media’s favorite whipping boy.

The truth about this fake scandal is that, had Cambridge Analytica done work for the Clinton Campaign, none of you would have ever heard of them.  There is no scandal here, there is only fake news at its very worst.  Far be it from me to want to defend the sleazebags who run the Facebook scam, but this episode really has taken the practice of fake news to a whole new level of fakery.

Just another day in fake news America.

That is all.

Trump Dropped Some Twitter Bombs Sunday Morning

Today’s Campaign Update

(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

While so many Trump supporters have spent the last couple of days tossing tantrums about the President’s decision to sign the horrible Omnibus spending bill, some good things have been happening without getting much notice from the fake news media.

Tired of all this Winning yet? – Just a few days after the mass school shooting in Parkland, Florida, I wrote a piece that laid much of the blame at the feet of an insane Obama-era policy that rewarded school administrators and law enforcement officials for refusing to enforce the law against students who engage in criminal activity.  In the ensuing weeks since, more and more people in the news media have begun to report on the scam.  Better late than never.

This growing attention level has now led to a positive outcome:  The Trump Administration announced on Friday that it will eliminate the Obama policy.  Just one more element of the insane, un-American Obama legacy falls by the wayside.

The fake news media really hasn’t paid much attention to this reality yet – it’s been too busy trying to whip the public into a gun-grabbing frenzy and reporting on a porn startlet – but with his staff moves over the last month, President Donald Trump has basically purged his team of senior advisors of globalists.

  • Senior Economic Advisor Gary Cohn – gone.  Replaced with the Reaganite Larry Kudlow.
  • Secretary of State Rex Tillerson – gone.  Replaced – if he can be confirmed – by CIA Director Mike Pompeo.
  • National Security Advisor H.R. McMaster – gone.  Replaced by John Bolton.

Assuming Pompeo is ultimately confirmed, the Trump Cabinet and team of senior advisors will basically be devoid of the open borders/new world order internationalist influence.  While it is true that Bolton is an interventionist who favors aggressive U.S. military involvement in civil wars all around the world, he is very much on board with the Trump plan to dramatically increase border security.

Bolton also promises to “clean house” once ensconced in the job, eliminating dozens of Obama holdovers and other internationalists who are not loyal to President Trump, according to a report at Foreign Policy on Saturday.  Taking this action will almost certainly eliminate many, if not most of the leaks coming from the White House, some of which have been criminal in nature.

Bottom line, 14 months into his first term, Trump is finally putting together the team of leaders he should have had in the first place.  Again, better late than never.

Early this morning, President Trump issued the following two tweets:

These tweets are potentially very important, particularly the last sentence in the first one:  “Build wall through M!”, the “M” standing for “Military.”

The federal budgeting process is very complex and arcane, and one thing to remember in this current situation is that this “Omnibus” spending bill is just that:  A spending bill, not a formal budget.  It is a compilation of suggested spending levels for each executive branch department and the military, along with an array of restrictions that dictate how some, but not all of that money can be spent.

It’s important to also remember in this context that, on December 21, the President took the step of declaring a national human rights emergency related to child-trafficking, a declaration that would allow Mr. Trump broad discretion in taking action to crack down on those who participate in such human rights abuses.  It’s key to note that much such child trafficking involves moving kidnapped children in and out of the United States of America.

A second point to note is that, on Friday, the President notified congress that, in signing the Omnibus, he is accepting the funds under the provisions of the Balanced Budget and Emergency Deficit Control Act of 1985.  This law also gives the President broad discretion in making decisions to refuse to spend funds that have been authorized by congress, as well as allowing him to reallocate spending priorities within the budgets of individual executive branch departments.

Finally, lets also note that, last October, the President declared a national emergency related to opioid abuse.

Now, read the text of that first tweet again, in the context of what is laid out above.  “Building a great border wall, with drugs (poison) and enemy combatants pouring into our Country, is all about National Defense.”  Combine that with “”Build wall through M!” and, it’s not unreasonable to think that Mr. Trump is at least considering the possibility of reallocating some portion of the beefed-up military budget to pay for building the wall along the southern border.

Doing that would of course create a media firestorm, but hell, what else is new?  And such a decision would also inevitably lead to a raft of lawsuits filed by leftwing activist groups before carefully-selected Obama-appointed federal judges, and possibly even a lawsuit from congress challenging the action.  But at the end of the day, such cases would have to go before the Supreme Court, where the President would most likely prevail, given the constitutional separation of powers.

As I’ve repeatedly pointed out, contrary to what the fake news media wants you to think, President Trump doesn’t just belch stuff out onto his twitter feed at random.  His tweets almost always have a purpose.  Often that purpose is to elicit a specific reaction from the fake news media.  Sometimes the purpose is to send up a trial balloon to gauge how the public would respond if he took a specific action.

I think Mr. Trump was doing both with those two tweets:  elicit a specific response from the media, and then gauge the public reaction to the media firestorm before deciding whether to move ahead.

Just another day in there really is good news out there if you look for it America.

That is all.
