If You Get Your News From Twitter, Tuesday was, like, Totally Awesome

The Evening Campaign Update

(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

Some Twitter highlights from today:

Wait, you mean, like, newspapers that print inflammatory, blatantly false op/eds defaming the President of the United States without identifying the writer? Hey, I know one…

So, what do you do if you’re one of the fake news media outlets that has been promoting the notion that Irish Beto O’Rourke is going to beat Ted Cruz in the Texas Senate race, and you see a new Quinnipiac poll that has Cruz expanding his lead in the race to 9 points?  If you’re the newsfakers at @The Hill, you hilariously bury the lead as far and deeply as you can possibly bury it:

…and if that doesn’t get you far enough into fakery, you issue another tweet with another hilariously-biased headline that names the Democrat, but identifies the Republican with the four-letter last name only as “Texas GOP senator…”.  Holy cow, that is some serious #fakenews right there.

Meanwhile, Stephen Miller lightens the mood with a hilarious offering of his own, lampooning the shameful efforts by Democrats to falsely portray the FBI’s jurisdiction in the Kavanaugh matter…

Houston radio talk show host nails Democrats and their voting habits here:

Meanwhile, back in #fakenews world, NBC refuses to be outdone by The Hill or anyone else.  Note the use of the term “blindsided”.  Yes, because President Trump has only been transparently previewing his declassification action for about four months now:

Watching this guy change positions is like watching a child with a damn yo-yo. Blast Jeff Flake all you want, but at least he is consistently venal and cowardly.

Back in #fakenews world, MSNBC’s Kyle Griffin delivers a real “scoop” – that shameful valor thief Richard Blumenthal opposes the Kavanaugh nomination.  You’re a real scoop-meister, there, Kyle.

And finally, from our Good God Who Cares department, the Daily Caller delivers this little gem:

*sigh*

Just another day in getting the news as only Twitter can deliver it America.

That is all.

As Senate Repubs Commit Hari-Kari, Trump Drops a Huge Bomb of Transparency

Today’s Campaign Update

(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

Ok, so when do we get that study de-linking smoking and lung cancer? – A new study from a bunch of doctors somewhere claims to have proven that there is no link – none at all – between high levels of what your doctor has been calling “bad cholesterol” for the last 40 years or so and heart disease.

That’s right, boys and girls, if you have spent years putting nasty slimy skim milk on your cereal, consuming “cheese” made from soybeans, replacing your beef ribeyes with bland, tough Bison sirloins and pretending to actually like getting your protein from nasty stuff like Tofu and Quinoa, well, you did not need to be doing all of that, at least according to these folks.  Guess I didn’t need to be taking that big Lipitor pill every night for the last six years, either.  Go figure.

Fair warning before you go out and clean your local Kroger out of ribeyes:  We’ll no doubt be getting another study from a different group of doctors showing the exact opposite conclusion within months.  So you might want to limit your lifestyle change to just getting a gallon of whole milk and overdosing on that.

This is the Senate Republicans, committing Hari Kari before your very eyes. – After panicking throughout Sunday and most of the day Monday, Senate Republicans made the very worst decision possible related to the obviously false accusations being levied against Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh by leftwing activist Christine Ford.  Not only did the gutless wonders give the Democrats the delay in the Committee process they wanted, they also scheduled a replay of the Clarence Thomas/Anita Hill fiasco for next Monday.

So, assuming the shameless accuser accepts the invite – which she has not done at this point –  Republicans will literally get the worst of all possible worlds out of this:  A delayed nomination, an irreparably tarnished nominee thanks to the heinously biased coverage by our fake news media, and a two-day spectacle in which a bunch of old white guys will be questioning this woman on national television.

Seriously, it’s like Mitch McConnell and Chuck Grassley huddled up and went about figuring out how they could turn this into the perfect recipe for losing control of the Senate in November, and decided to go with that.  Hell, maybe that’s what they deserve.

Meanwhile, over at the White House… – Hey, y’all, President Donald Trump finally, at long last ordered the declassification of a bunch of documents that DOJ has been withholding from various congressional committees for over a year yesterday!  That’s the good news.  The bad news is that the declassification process will be carried out by the still-corrupt Justice Department (DOJ) and the hopefully-less-corrupt Office of the Director of National Intelligence (ODNI).  So who knows how long this will all take.

If carried out honestly, it should happen quickly, because the President’s order is very specific and demands the documents be released in un-redacted form.  Those documents include:

  • 21 pages from the 412 pages of documents related to the FISA warrant application that allowed the FBI/DOJ cabal to spy on Carter Page and the Trump Campaign;
  • all FBI reports on interviews with Justice Department official Bruce Ohr;
  • all FBI reports of interviews prepared in connection with all other applications to surveil Carter Page;
  • all text messages, “without redaction”, from Ohr, Peter Strzok, Lisa Page, former FBI Director and current Teenage Drama Queen James Comey and former FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe.

That’s a good start, a start that should have happened a month ago at the latest, and it will no doubt shed much more light on the disgraceful corruption that was taking place within the Obama DOJ and FBI throughout the 2016 election campaign.  But the list is incomplete, and will still leave some aspects of the massive corruption held secret within the lateral files of the slimy Rod Rosenstein.

Here are a couple of long-stonewalled documents that are not included in the President’s initial declass list:

  • The memo written by Mr. Rosenstein authorizing the creation of the Special Counsel’s office under Robert Mueller;
  • The subsequent Rosenstein memo that expanded the investigatory scope of the Mueller investigation;
  • The FBI 302 files containing the notes of Peter Strzok and other FBI agents present for the January 2017 entrapment interview with General Mike Flynn, including the originals and all subsequent modified versions of it.

The authorizing memos by Rosenstein are crucial because if they were done legally they would a) clearly lay out a scope for Mueller’s investigation, and b) specifically point to some actual crime for him to investigate.  Given that there is no such crime as “collusion” mentioned anywhere in the federal statutes, legal scholars like Alan Dershowitz and Jonathan Turley have raised questions about the investigation’s legality from the very beginning.  Multiple congressional committees have been attempting to obtain these memos for more than a year now.

The 302 files are also crucial because many researchers believe that Strzok and his fellow corrupt FBI agents altered their original notes from the Flynn meeting in order to entrap him into the “lying to the FBI” charge to which he plead guilty.  Many believe that this fact is why Mueller has repeatedly asked the judge in the case to delay sentencing of Flynn over the past 10 months, with the most recent delay being requested and agreed-to just yesterday.

The sentencing has now been delayed to November 28, after the mid-term elections, and right at a full year since Flynn entered his plea.  Perhaps the President just wants to keep these key documents in his hip pocket in the hope that his initial order will spur Rosenstein and FBI Director Christopher Wray to go ahead and come clean.  If so, he’s likely to be disappointed.

At any rate, the most hilarious part of the President’s order on Monday was to go out to Twitter and marvel at every liberal fake reporter in the country wailing in protest about all this sudden transparency that was going on.  It is moments like these in which this community of shameless hacks jointly reveal their despicable true nature.

It was all too much for real, actual journalists like Mollie Hemingway to stomach:

But hey, once you accept the fact that all the fake journalists are just Democrat activists with press passes, everything they do begins to make perfect sense.

Just another day in trasparency-hating fake news media America.

That is all.

Rejoice, Democrats: Your Next High-Tech Lynching Has Arrived!

Today’s Campaign Update

(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

Democrats raise the depravity to new heights. – After news of the “anonymous letter” from a woman who knew Brett Kavanaugh in high school, accusing the Supreme Court nominee of unspecified teenage misconduct, came to light last week, here is what The Campaign Update told you we would soon find out:

=================================

Trust me on this, it is only a matter of time before…

– We find out the accuser’s name;

– We discover she is being represented by some scumbag lawyer like Michael Avenetti or Lisa Bloom or best of all, Gloria Allred;

– We find out she got paid a ton of money by some Democrat-affiliated, Soros-funded third party group to write and send the letter; and

– We start seeing leftwing talking heads and Democrat politicians rolling out their next big talking point, which will be that we must – MUST – place the Kavanaugh nomination on hold until these oh-so-credible accusations, which will almost certainly be luridly sexual in nature, can be sorted out.

=================================

That was last Thursday.  On Sunday, we found out most of that information, courtesy of the fakenewsers at the Washington Post.

The accuser’s name?  Christine Blasey Ford, a longtime leftwing activist, professor at extremely liberal Palo Alto University in California, and Bernie Sanders contributor.  Totally credible.

The accuser’s lawyer?  Not the Porn Lawyer, nor the execrable Ms. Bloom nor her even more execrable mother, Gloria Allred.  But just as bad: One Debra Katz, a longtime leftwing Democrat activist who was recently quoted as describing anyone who works for President Trump as “miscreants.”  Katz also was part of Hillary Clinton’s “Bimbo Eruptions” team, a group of women who viciously slandered any of the myriad women who came out of the woodwork to accuse Bill Clinton of sexual misconduct.  Just a lovely person, no doubt.

How much has Ms. Blasey Ford been paid to do this?  We don’t know this bit of key information yet, but you can bet tons of people are working on that particular question as you read this.  The going rate for this sort of thing during the 2016 presidential campaign was about $150,000; for accusers of Roy Moore, the bidding got up over $200,000.  The execrable lawyer Ms. Bloom got caught offering something like $700k to one #MeToo accuser.  Ms. Blasey Ford may or may not have been paid to do this, but the history of this sort of Democrat dirty trick tells us there’s a pretty good chance that some big, big money is behind this.

Very predictably, the calls from Democrat politicians and fake news readers that we must – MUST – place the Kavanaugh nomination on hold until these accusations from this woman – who the Democrat/fake journalist joint talking points insist is a “credible witness” – can be sorted out literally rained down from the heavens throughout Sunday afternoon and evening.

Of course, the truth is that Ms. Blasey Ford is not credible in any way, shape or form.  Even a rookie public defender would rip her story to shreds were she to try to roll this junk out on the witness stand in a court of law.  The mere fact that she has allegedly sat on this “information” for 36 years, as Mr. Kavanaugh rose through the ranks of the federal judiciary, as the FBI has conducted no fewer than 6 thorough investigations into his background, even as he went through a highly-publicized confirmation before this same Senate Judiciary Committee when he was nominated to serve on a federal appellate court – that she sat on her hands through all of those years and all of those hearings and investigations alone renders her as a wholly non-credible person.

She claims to have passed a lie detector test administered by a “former FBI agent”.  Oh, really?  Was that agent’s last name Strzok?  Page?  Comey?  McCabe?  The possibilities are almost endless here.

Meanwhile, despite Ms. Blasey Ford’s laser-clear memory of this “incident,” she cannot remember where this party was held, who owned the home in question, how she got to the party, or who she arrived there with.  Oh, but she does remember that Kavanaugh allegedly had a partner in this “incident,” and even the guy’s name – some poor schlub named Mark Judge, who, like Mr. Kavanaugh, categorically denies the story, calling it “just absolutely nuts.”

Yes, it is absolutely nuts, but this is today’s depraved Democrat Party we’re talking about here, and the fake news media which serves as its propaganda wing.

Sadly, it’s also nervous Republicans like Lindsey Graham and shameless swamp skunks like Jeff Flake, both of whom are now getting all wobbly in the knees and calling for Judiciary Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley to bring Ms. Blasey Ford before the Committee for a hearing before the scheduled committee vote this Thursday.  The accuser says she’s willing to do that, no doubt in the hopes of becoming the new darling of the news media, a modern-day Anita Hill.  What a goal to have in life.

Given that every Democrat on that Committee knew about Ms. Blasey Ford’s allegations when the full week of hearings on this nomination took place, and conspired to keep it in their hip pockets, Chairman Grassley should refuse to cowtow to his weak-kneed colleagues and simply follow through with his scheduled vote.  But he won’t do that, because congressional Republicans have no, well, um, let’s call them “huevos”.  (Look it up if you don’t understand rudimentary Spanish.)

So we’re going to have another gigantic, disgusting spectacle this week, probably two full days of salacious, slanderous hearings that will only serve to divide the nation even further than it already is, brought to you courtesy of depraved Democrats and gutless Republicans.

A pox on all their houses.  Every one of them.

That is all.

[Addendum:  Don’t just assume that Ms. Blasey Ford is the only accuser the Democrats are holding in their hip pockets on this nomination.  The Roy Moore episode makes it clear that they may well have a number of longtime leftist activist Bernie Sanders donors willing to come forward and slander Mr. Kavanaugh’s reputation.  Say tuned, if you can bear it.]

Michael Moore Floats the Dumbest Trump Conspiracy Theory Yet

Today’s Campaign Update

(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

OMG, Mike, that’s, like, ruuuuullllly, totally dumb and stuff. – Fake documentary film-maker Michael Moore is pushing the most absurd theory yet about the identity of the “anonymous” author who wrote the Trump-bashing op/ed the New York Times ran last week.  Moore contended on Saturday that the real author is…wait for it…oh, you gotta wait for this one…DONALD TRUMP!  I swear I don’t make this stuff up.

Yes, friends, this big fat tub of goo told an audience of creeps at some film festival that he doesn’t really “know” per se who the writer is, but “if you want me to make a wild guess, Trump wrote it or one of his minions wrote it…. He’s the master of distraction. He’s the King of the Misdirect. If we’ve ever known anything by now, it’s that he does things to get people to turn away and the line that is most identifiable in terms of what he wants the public to believe, the line that says, ‘don’t worry, adults are in the room.’ The idea is to get him to get us to calm down and look away from what he’s really doing.”

Of course, the reality is that President Trump pretty much begs Americans every day specifically to judge him on “what he’s really doing,” because what he’s really doing is pretty damn spectacular.  What he’s really doing is creating the first period of relative peace and massive prosperity that our country has enjoyed in the 21st centurty.

Here, for everyone’s edification, are just a few of the details:

  • In just 21 months in office, Donald Trump and his administration have pretty much erased the heinously un-American legacy of America’s Biggest Mistake, Barack Hussein Obama.  That’s why you see Mr. Obama out on the campaign trail right now, desperately trying to take credit for the massive economic boom that has resulted from Trump’s policies.
  • Where Obama and his evil minions worked overtime for 8 years to brainwash Americans into believing that as much as 3% economic growth was basically impossible, and that economic stagnation was the “new normal” (how many hundreds of times did we hear them say this?), Trump now has the economy humming along at over 4% growth.
  • America’s manufacturing sector, which lay dormant throughout the Obama presidency, has seen the creation of hundreds of thousands of new jobs thanks to Trump’s agenda.  The petrochemicals and plastics industry now has more than $200 billion in new capital investment in U.S. plant and equipment on its books alone.  Obama repeatedly told us that these were the “old” jobs that were “never coming back” to our country, yet here they are, knocking on our door, looking for qualified people to fill them..
  • In both June and August of this year, the United States of America surpassed Russia and Saudi Arabia to become the largest oil-producing nation on the face of the earth.
  • In New Mexico two weeks ago, the federal Bureau of Land Management conducted an oil and gas lease sale that netted almost $1 billion in lease bonuses alone, by far the biggest onshore lease sale in U.S. history.  These things happen because of policy, not by accident.
  • The U.S. rate of unemployment has hovered at near-record low levels for a year now.  The biggest problem the U.S. economy has under Donald J. Trump is that employers find it increasingly difficult to find enough people to fill their growing number of job openings.  Millions of workers who had been so discouraged during the Obama years that they simply quit looking for work are now pouring back into the work force in Donald Trump’s economy.
  • Unemployment rates for Hispanics, African Americans and women are at all-time lows and getting lower.  The jobs situation is so fantastic, in fact, that even Colin Kaepernick has been able to find gainful employment.  Obama did not do that.
  • Around the globe, America’s foreign policy has created a period of relative peace thanks in very large part to the Trump Administration’s consistent and firm projection of U.S. power.  The Crazy Little Fat Guy in North Korea is no longer lobbing ICBMs over Japan out into the Pacific Ocean.  The despotic Mullahs in Iran now find themselves increasingly isolated, unable to export their crude oil, and facing growing unrest from the general population.  The terrorist Palestinian leadership also finds itself increasingly isolated and having its Obama-era funding cut off by this Administration.
  • The previously deadbeat European NATO members are suddenly paying their bills, resulting in a massive infusion of new money into that organization and rendering Vladimir Putin less interested in projecting Russian military power outside its own borders.

Obama, in one of his delusional rants this past week, actually said this:

 “We spent eight years pushing that (economic) boulder up the hill, we finally get to the top, it starts rolling down the hill and then these folks come in and say look at what we’re doing. They’re standing there, didn’t even break a sweat.”

Of course, what actually happened for 8 long years was that Obama had his regulators formed up in a defensive line about halfway up that hill, ensuring that the U.S. economy – the most incredible job- and prosperity-generating machine ever devised by mankind – was never able to break out into a true economic recovery during his reign.

What Trump has basically done is come in and decimate that regulatory defensive line.  So yeah, the Trump people actually have barely broken a sweat, because all they really had to do was rid our nation of Obama’s heinous legacy.

So the thought that President Trump would actually want to write the piece that appeared in the New York Times, a piece that asks people to focus not on his policy accomplishments but on his personality, is utterly absurd.  Because anyone who focuses on his policy accomplishments must conclude that he has so far been far and away the single most successful U.S. President in modern times, and perhaps ever.

Just another day in Michael Moore is a hopeless buffoon America.

That is all.

Today’s Campaign Update – The Week in Review

Today’s Campaign Update – The Week in Review

(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

This week, we introduce a new feature at the Campaign Update – The Week in Review.

Ok, actually we introduced this last Friday evening, but failed to take the time and space to point it out.  We’re going to plan to post one of these every Saturday afternoon at least through the end of this year’s mid-term election campaign, at which point the plan is to assess their utility (and readership level) and decide whether they should be continued.

In putting these Campaign Updates together every morning, it often becomes impossible to adequately capture all the big things that are taking place related to our national politics.  Every day has multiple news cycles, as the leftwingers in our fake news media and the Democrat Party become increasingly panicked about their prayed-for “Blue Wave” failing to materialize and the growing reality that Robert Mueller is systematically taking the steps necessary to wind down his fruitless “investigation.”

We can only expect the pace of fakenewsery to speed up even more during the 8 weeks remaining until Election Day, meaning that, in order to keep everyone updated on the campaign, the Campaign Update must work a little overtime.

The plan here is to summarize the week’s major events in bullet point format, heaping as many insults and pithy comments upon all the snowflakes, SJWs, fake newsers and other creatures on the political left as we can think to include.  Links to relevant stories will, as always, be included where relevant and useful.

So here we go with the Campaign Update Week in Review, Episode 2.

This was the week that all the following happened:

  • Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey, a shameless SJW himself, admitted that his “conservative employees “don’t feel safe to express their opinions” while in the Twitter corporate workplace.  Man, what do you think tipped him off?
  • Meanwhile, over at Google, tapes of a leadership team meeting that took place shortly after the 2016 election revealed that, contrary to their pious claims of impartiality, the social media behemoth does indeed do everything it can to distort its search results in favor of liberals.  Very predictably, none of the TV networks, nor CNN or the NYTimes or Washington Post devoted any time or space to covering this major story.  Go figure.
  • The Washington Post told us that President Donald Trump is “complicit” in the creation of Hurricane Florence because he doesn’t spout the dogma of the religion of Climate Change, but oddly gave him no credit at all for the hurricane’s being downgraded from a Cat 4 storm to a Cat 1 as it approached the Eastern Seaboard.  Odd.
  • The fake news media’s coverage of the leadup to and destruction caused by Florence was every bit as fake as one would have expected, as the fake journalists did everything they could think of to use the storm to try to damage President Trump and any other random Republican who got in the way.  So tiresome.
  • We learned that RINO Senator Ben Sasse “thinks about leaving the Republican Party” every morning.  So go already.
  • President Trump’s star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame was restored over last weekend, and has, as of this writing, remained unmolested by enraged social justice warriors a full week later.  Amazing.
  • Speaking of stories the mainstream fake news media couldn’t be bothered to spend a second reporting, a Republican candidate for congress out in California was stabbed by a lunatic supporter of his Democrat rival, incumbent congressman Eric Swalwell, who I remain convinced played Otter in the 1978 film “Animal House.”  When Swalwell was interviewed on CNN the very next day, he was not asked a single question about the stabbing by the fake news hack doing the interview.  *sigh*
  • Les Moonves got his sorry butt “MeToo’d” out of his job as CEO of CBS.  The management at CBS was so angry at all the bad PR Moonves brought the organization that they sent him packing with a severance deal totaling only about $100 million.  Not kidding.
  • San Fran Nan said she agrees that, where the Democrats are concerned, “it’s time for new blood and we should move on.”  That’s the good part.  But in her next breath, she promised to continuing clinging to power so long as Donald Trump is President: “to have no woman at the table and to have the Affordable Care Act at risk, I said, ‘As long as he’s here, I’m here.”  Oh, goody.
  • Paul Manafort “flipped” in order to get a plea deal from Bob Mueller, but it’s an open question whether his flipping is any sort of bad news for President Trump or just for Tony Podesta, with whom Manafort partnered to lobby for some Ukrainian clients during the Obama Administration.  Given that all the charges that Mueller had brought against Manafort were from that long ago period of time, the latter seems most likely.
  • Political fabulist Bob Woodward’s new book trashing President Trump immediately topped all the best-seller lists, but it turned out that possibly the most damaging allegation in it relates not to the President, but to Obama’s CIA Director, the execrable John Brennan.  Oh, my.
  • Corrupt New York Mayor Andrew Cuomo sent the eternally irritating Marxist Cynthia Nixon packing, and nobody really cared.
  • The New York Times tried to smear Nikki Haley and it backfired immensely, proving that sometimes justice still does prevail in this country.
  • Late in the week, despicable California Senator Dianne Feinstein pulled a last minute stunt to try to derail the Supreme Court nomination of Brett Kavanaugh, but when even the fakenewsers at the Washington Post were ridiculing the highly-predictable tactic, it quickly became obvious that it won’t work.

With the final Senate floor vote not scheduled to take place until September 29, though, no one should blithely assume that Feinstein and her fellow depraved Democrats are finished trying to slander the nominee.  They probably have several more arrows in that Luciferian quiver they drag around with them.

Stay tuned.

That is all.

The Times’ Haley Hit Piece Reinforces Americans’ Hatred of the Fake News Media

Today’s Campaign Update

(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

Was that a bad pun, or are you just really that dumb? – I swear I just heard a TV reporter standing in knee-deep water on a flooded street somewhere in North Carolina say, without a smile on his face or a trace of humor in his voice, “This is a fluid situation.”

Let the Campaign Update take you on a walk through Bad Television History. – Incidentally, every time you see one of these reporters tell you “Whatever you do, do not go out into this weather!” while he himself is standing outside in 100 mph winds and blinding sheets of rain, remember we have Dan Rather to blame for this.

Yes, friends, way back in 1961, as Hurricane Carla was making her landfall along the Texas Gulf Coast, fake news icon Dan Rather was just a cub reporter at the local CBS affiliate in Houston.  It was he who got the bright idea to grab a camera man and go out into the hurricane itself to do a live report, in which he warned Houstonians to do what he said, not what he was doing.

That reporting got him attention from the high muckety-mucks at CBS’s national office, and the rest is fake news history.  Since that time, thousands of frustrated local reporters have tried to emulate Rather’s path to fake news glory, and about 99.9% of them have miserably failed, succeeding only in annoying the viewers of their local TV stations and endangering themselves, their cameramen and their production crews in the process.  That’s a legacy to be proud of, if you’re a raging narcissist like Mr. Rather.

Friday’s Outrage Mob moment, brought to you by the fakenewsers at the New York Times. – It has been quite obvious for going on two years now that if you are high-performing senior person in the Donald Trump Administration, the fake news media, led by the New York Times and CNN, is going work overtime to find some way to smear you.

The 10-month daily smear campaign by the Times finally succeeded in forcing EPA Administrator Scott Pruitt’s resignation earlier this summer and other similar campaigns have been unsuccessfully mounted against Homeland Security Secretary Kirstjen Neilsen, White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders, Treasury Secretary Steve Mnuchin, Interior Secretary Ryan Zinke, Education Secretary Betsy DeVos, and many others.  In fact, if you’re a high-level Trump official and you haven’t been subjected to a media smear, you might want to wonder about your job security.

No Trump appointee has performed her job at a higher level than UN Ambassador Nikki Haley, who has done a truly stellar job of representing U.S. interests before that collection of international thugs, despots and general ne’er-do-wells.  Since she’s doing such a great job, the fake news hacks at the New York Times decided to mount a smear of her reputation on Friday, running a hit piece whose headline claimed that Ms. Haley was spending more than $52,000 for curtains for her “new” official UN Ambassador residence, which the Times story attempted to portray as some extravagant upgrade over the Obama-era residence.

Oh, the Outrage Mob on Twitter and other social media went nuts over the story, with thousands of vacuous social justice warriors and assorted other nitwits and soulless ghouls tweeting stuff like “OMG, can you, like, believe, like, Nikki Haley is, like, you know, wasting our taxpayer dollars on curtains and, like, stuff?”

Of course, none of the members of the Outrage Mob bothered to read past the Times’ tweet and headline, into the bowels of the story itself.  If they had, they would have found, buried in the story’s sixth paragraph, the fact that the curtains were custom ordered and paid for by the Barack Obama Administration, which had also made the decision to move the U.N. Ambassador’s office out of the pricey Waldorf Towers to their current location in 2016, long before anyone had any inkling that Ms. Haley would become our UN Ambassador.

It took half a day, but the Times finally reluctantly issued a correction to the story mid-afternoon, revising its headline and including an editor’s note just below the headline.  But of course, the damage had already been done as hundreds of thousands of misinformed Americans will never see the correction, a fact of which the Times’ reporters and their editors were no doubt fully aware when they knowingly rushed an absurdly inaccurate story into print.

These are the very same people, mind you, who wail and moan and demonize anyone who criticizes our fake national news media.

Meanwhile, over at NBC’s hurricane coverage, it’s time to rile up the SJW Mob. – And hey, if you’re NBC and trying to horn your way into this Outrage Mob act, but having a hard time breaking through the New York Times/CNN Wall of News Fakery, what are do you do?

Why, you spice up your hurricane coverage with an idiotic, evidence-devoid claim that some poor Coast Guard guy who is working his butt of to save peoples’ lives “appears to give” the “white power sign” in the video linked here.

Gosh, it’s so darn hard to understand why so many millions of Americans – a number that grows every day – literally hate our news media.  What could the reason possibly be?

Just another day in the fake news media is part of the deep state America.

That is all.

Mark Meadows Drops a Bomb on Fox News that the Rest of the Media Will Desperately Ignore

Today’s Campaign Update

(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

So long, Cynthia, we hardly knew ye.  And we’re really happy about that. – Bad actress Cynthia Nixon turned out to be an even worse far, far, far, far, far, far, far left-wing political candidate, as she got her whiny head handed to her in last night’s Democrat primary by ultra-corrupt New York Governor Andrew Cuomo.  Nixon couldn’t even get up to Wendy Davis numbers, pulling just 34.5% of the vote in the race.  What the results showed was not how much the despicable Cuomo is loved by New York voters, but how much Nixon and her Marxist ideology are still hated, even in a very liberal state like New York.

Let’s learn this lesson, because it is really important:  Nixon got slaughtered not because she “couldn’t get her message out,” but precisely because she became the darling of the New York and national fake news media and her senseless, destructive ideology was fully exposed to the voters.  This is in direct contrast to Alexandria Ocasio Cortez, who was able to pull off her surprise win over a longtime Democrat incumbent who barely campaigned, and thus was never exposed to the voters until after the voting had taken place.

The lesson here is clear:  The way to defeat these Marxist “Democratic Socialists” is to fully expose them to the voters.  You can bet this lesson will not be lost on Texas Senator Ted Cruz, who is in a fairly close race against extreme liberal Irish Bob O’Rourke (who calls himself “Beto”), who is being portrayed as just a moderate Democrat by the Texas and National fake news media who have adopted him and his campaign as their pet cause.

We can expect the Cruz campaign to focus and spend heavily on exposing the reality of Irish Bob to the voters.  The fake news media will accuse Cruz of running a “negative” campaign as if that is something bad, but the reality is that when the media won’t do its job of vetting candidates for the voters, the opposing candidate must do it for them.  Assuming Cruz adopts that strategy, what appears to be a close race in September will end up about a 10 point victory in November, because Texas voters aren’t going to want to sent a Cynthia Nixon clone to the U.S. Senate.

Speaking of lessons learned… – As he has watches as the depraved Democrats pander to Cynthia Nixon’s and Irish Bob O’Rourke’s ultra-leftist voters by pulling out literally every trick they can think of to defame, demean and destroy Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh, we must hope that the lesson President Trump takes away from all of this is that, when the next Supreme Court opening comes up, there is no reason at all not to nominate a real, hard core conservative jurist like Amy Barrett.  The process will be the same no matter who he puts forth, so no use pussy-footing around next time.

A big bomb went off on Fox News last night… – and you won’t see any “mainstream”, i.e., fake media outlet talking about it.

Rep. Mark Meadows (R-NC) appeared along with Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH) on the Sean Hannity show to discuss this latest texting scandal involving disgraced ex-FBI Agent Peter Strzok and his paramour FBI lawyer Lisa Page.  For those unaware, this latest episode involves Strzok and Page discussing the fact that multiple deep state anti-Trump cabal participants within the FBI and DOJ were “leaking like crazy” to various media outlets last year during the run-up to the start of the Robert Mueller Special Counsel investigation.

Jordan had told Fox Business host Stuart Varney earlier in the day that one leftwing reporter was getting leaks from as many as 13 different individuals within the DOJ/FBI cabal, and repeated that fact to Hannity.  Meadows followed with this huge bit of information:

Rep. Mark Meadows: “There are dozens of other documents that will support the fact that Peter Strzok and Lisa Page had ongoing relationships with multiple reporters and that they were feeding them information to spin a narrative against this president… We know that James Comey leaked, we know that Andrew McCabe leaked, we know that Peter Strzok and Lisa Page leaked. We also know that the reporters who they leaked to know that they leaked. And look we got names. We also have the reporters’ names.”

That high-pitched crunching sound you heard around 8:30 CT last night was the sound of sphincters tightening in the offices of the New York Times, the Washington Post, CNN, MSNBC, NBC, ABC and CBS.

Even without the names, it would not be hard to figure out who the reporters are.  The fake news media was literally filled to the gills during this time frame with stories damaging to President Trump sourced solely from “a source close to the White House,” “sources within the FBI,” “multiple sources with knowledge of the investigation,” or however else the Times and Post could think to couch it.

All of which is why you won’t see any of this reported at the Times or the Post or any other fake media outlet.  They’re all praying to whatever god they worship that all of this gets delayed past Election Day, the Democrats win a majority in the House, and the coverup can thus be completed.

As the Campaign Update has told you repeatedly over the last 10 months, the fake news media was not only supportive of the conspiracy within the DOJ/FBI to first deny Trump the 2016 election and then to bring down the Trump Presidency, it has been and remains complicit in these past and ongoing efforts. Rod Rosenstein and his lackeys at DOJ continue to feverishly work to cover it all up and stonewall congressional document requests, but sooner or later it will all come out, and when it does, hell is coming with it.

Just another day in the fake news media is part of the deep state America.

That is all.

The Bork Playbook Having Failed, Democrats Open up the Thomas Playbook on Kavanaugh

The Evening Campaign Update

(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

Well, this was pretty much inevitable, wasn’t it?  Last week’s tireless effort by Senate Judiciary Committee Democrats to put a Borking on Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh failed miserably.  Every lie, every deceitfully-edited video, every empty threat, every “I am Spartacus” moment ran up on the shoals of reality and truth.  The nominee’s eloquence and composure through all of that plus an endless array of leftist nutjobs who had been paid to disrupt the proceedings ended up enhancing the public’s opinion of him and damaging the presidential hopes of political circus ringleaders Kamala Harris and Cory Booker.

Democrats are nothing if not repetitive, having attempted to use their “Borking” strategy against every subsequent Republican Supreme Court nominee since 1987.  They are also extremely predictable, and it was pretty much inevitable that, in this era of all #resistance all the time politics, they would follow their failed Borking of Kavanaugh with an effort at the same sort of “high-tech lynching” they attempted to pull on Clarence Thomas when he was nominated by President George H.W. Bush in 1991.

So it is that we see today’s revelation by the fakenewsers at Buzzfeed that despicable California Senator Dianne Feinstein has referred a letter from a constituent who is just oh, so desperate (she isn’t) to remain anonymous (she won’t) to the FBI because it makes nasty allegations (which are false) about Mr. Kavanaugh.  And get this:  Those allegations allegedly took place while the letter writer and Kavanaugh were in freaking HIGH SCHOOL together.

Yes, friends, these depraved Democrats, having spent months scouring the nominee’s adult life and judicial record and coming up with a big bag of nothing, have now resorted to digging up some woman who claims to have gone to high school with Kavanaugh, and who is willing to try to drag his reputation through the mud.  Feinstein, who has been shopping the letter around Capital Hill all week, claims it just showed up in her mail out of the blue, and if you believe that I have some property in the Texas hill country I’ve been trying to off-load for about 3 years that I’d like to talk to you about.

Trust me on this, it is only a matter of time before…

– We find out the accuser’s name;

– We discover she is being represented by some scumbag lawyer like Michael Avenetti or Lisa Bloom or best of all, Gloria Allred;

As you can see, this last-ditch, incredibly predictable effort to derail the Kavanaugh nomination meets my “5 Ds” test:  It is despicable, disgusting, disgraceful and depraved, and whenever you see any politically-related episode that fits all four of those Ds, you can bet your entire 401(k) plan balance that the fifth D – Democrats – are behind it.

It won’t work, but you just knew they were going to try it.

That is all.

Hurricane News so Fake it Deserves its Own Award

Today’s Campaign Update

(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

The award for the absolute dumbest and most dishonest Florence-related tweet of the day goes to… – Check out this little gem from the editorial board at the Houston Chronicle:

Or hey, maybe it’s an act of nature that is no more intense or potentially destructive than millions of similar weather events that have occurred throughout millions of eons before today.  Given that the last 40 years of rising atmospheric CO2 have actually coincided with a period of record-low hurricane and tornadic activity in the Western hemisphere, the thought that any random hurricane event is somehow “our fault” is so utterly absurd that it borders on a true mental disorder.

No one would have ever dreamed that the ed board at the Houston Chronicle could outdo all the fake news hacks at CNN to win this particular prize, but let’s just call it a real Cinderella story, because the entire piece is a fairy tale.

The problem with all these “categories”… – All that having been said, Florence is a nasty, nasty storm that is going to cause all sorts of major damage along the coasts of North and South Carolina and well inland.  As I type this I’m watching residents there telling news people they plan to ride this one out.  Good god, people, what are you thinking about?

Well, one of the things they may be thinking about is the fact that – as happens so often with these storms – Florence has now been downgraded twice in the last 24 hours.  It began Wednesday as a Category 4 storm, but was downgraded to a Cat 3 at mid-afternoon.  Overnight, it was downgraded once again to a Cat 2 storm, with sustained winds of 110 miles per hour.

That is the problem with this whole “category” ranking system for these storms – as the storms make their final approaches to land and typically weaken as they get into more shallow waters, the downgrading of them can lull residents into a false sense of security.  People tend to forget that, when it made landfall, Hurricane Katrina was a Category 1 storm, having been downgraded three times in the 48 hours before it came ashore.  Everyone who stayed in New Orleans to “ride this one out” regretted doing so.

My wife and I “rode out” Hurricane Ike at our home in Houston, 50 miles inland, in 2008.  Ike was also a Cat 1 storm when it made landfall.  That was a mean and nasty storm that took all afternoon and all night to pass through our city.  We awoke the next morning to find downed trees and power lines throughout our neighborhood, and the 100 year-old home behind us completely totaled by a 60 foot-tall pecan tree the storm had uprooted and deposited in its living room.

That Cat 1 hurricane completely inundated Galveston Island, causing the worst flooding there since the Great Storm of 1900, which killed more than 8,000 residents.  Ike also left hundreds of thousands of residents without power for days, tens of thousands for weeks and even months before the area’s electricity was fully restored.

Last year’s Hurricane Harvey was just barely a “hurricane” at all when it made landfall, but the fact that it lingered along the Texas Gulf Coast dumping prodigious amounts of rain for several days ended up making it the most costly hurricane in American history in terms of the cost of damages due to all the flooding it caused.  Given that the projected path for Florence is quite similar to that we saw from Harvey, anyone living near the coast who sticks around to “ride this one out” is literally placing their lives at risk.

[Correction:  A sharp reader points out that Harvey was actually a Cat 4 when it made landfall over the small resort town of Rockport. What I should have said was that it was barely a hurricane at all once it reached Houston, where it lingered and dumped more than 50 inches of rain in some parts of the city.  That’s  what I get for relying on my memory.]

At any rate, while the utility of this category system for hurricane trackers and scientists is easy to grasp, perhaps something different should be used to describe the storms when communicating with the public, given that so many of them end up being downgraded rapidly as they approach the coast. Because it really doesn’t matter how fast their winds are blowing when they’re 500 miles out to sea.  What matters is how they’re going to kill you when they get over land.

Just a thought.

Man, nobody could’ve seen that one coming.  Oh, wait… – Washington’s Evergreen State College, which has notoriously become the higher education poster child for obnoxious leftism, reported a “catastrophic drop” in new enrollments for its fall semester.  Go figure.

That’s quite an a achievement in a U.S. senate that includes the likes of Cory Booker, Chuck Schumer, Dick Durbin, Bill Nelson, Elizabeth Warren and Joe Manchin. – Becket Adams, writing in the Washington Examiner, reports that California Senator Kamala Harris is “rapidly gaining a reputation as the most dishonest senator”.  Which of course means she will make the perfect Democrat nominee for the presidency in 2020.

Never, ever doubt that Trump Derangement Syndrome is real. – So, let’s say you’re a longtime sociology professor at a minor college in Las Vegas.  And let’s say that you, like pretty much every other sociology professor in America, hate President Donald Trump, because of course you do.  And let’s say you want to find some way to express your hatred of President Trump – what do you do?

Why, if you are Sociology Professor Mark J. Bird, you shoot your own self in your own freakin’ arm!  I swear I do not make this stuff up.  Who could?

Just another day in fake hurricane news and Trump Derangement Syndrome America.

That is all.
