Monday News Roundup: America has a Real Pandemic of Circus Clowns

The circus clownery will continue in Minneapolis until the complaining stops. – Members of the Minneapolis City Council voted to defund the city’s police department on Friday. What happened next will shock you. No, wait – if you’ve been paying attention, it really won’t shock you at all.

From a report at the Daily Caller:

Minneapolis is spending $4,500 a day on private security for three city council members who support defunding the police after allegedly receiving threats, a local report published Friday showed.

Private security details cost Minneapolis taxpayers roughly $63,000 over the past three weeks, a spokesman for the city said, according to a Fox 9 report. Council members Andrea Jenkins, Phillipe Cunningham and Alondra Cano are outspoken supporters of efforts to defund the Minneapolis Police Department, the report stated.

Neither Cunningham, Jenkins nor Cano have responded to the Daily Caller News Foundation’s request for comment.

Cunningham did respond to Fox 9’s request for comment, telling the outlet through a text message that, “I don’t feel comfortable publicly discussing the death threats against me or the level of security I currently have protecting me from those threats.” The security detail is temporary, he noted.

[End]

Classic Democrat dishonesty:

  1. Vote to implement a policy that will undoubtedly harm taxpayers;
  2. Lie about getting death threats;
  3. Force the taxpayer to pay out the wazoo for your own personal private security.

These people are despicable. Here they are in all their glory:

Minneapolis City Council members get private security detail after ...

They are the faces of the city’s looming destruction.

Starbucks would like to interrupt your morning coffee by brainwashing you. – Starbucks announced yesterday that it is “pausing” all social media advertising so that it can make sure it is spreading the exact brainwashing messages the Democrat Party demands. In a note posted on its website, the company had this carefully-constructed lawyered-to-death inanity to say:

We believe in bringing communities together, both in person and online, and we stand against hate speech. We believe more must be done to create welcoming and inclusive online communities, and we believe both business leaders and policy makers need to come together to affect real change.

We will pause advertising on all social media platforms while we continue discussions internally, with our media partners and with civil rights organizations in the effort to stop the spread of hate speech.

[End]

So, be ready next time you choose to support this leftist corporation: You might have to have a discussion about your being a racist while you wait for your latte’.

Still think Antifa and BLM are just getting away with their destruction of our cities? – You might want to think again:

The wheel of American justice turns slowly, but it grinds exceedingly fine.

Corrupt News Media today: “Aerial footage shows massive crowds rallying to celebrate #Pride in Chicago.”

Corrupt News Media in two weeks: “Chicago officials shocked at massive outbreak of new COVID-19 cases among city’s gay community. Cause a complete mystery.”

*sigh*

You just could never make this stuff up, folks. – As the city’s murder rate quadruples as a direct result of his insane, anti-police leadership, New York City Mayor Warren Wilhelm spent the day Sunday handing out masks …. TO PEOPLE ALREADY WEARING MASKS!:

The man is just a giant, evil buffoon.

Meanwhile, this was happening:

Say goodbye to that billion dollar tourist industry, New Yorkers. And remember: You elected this guy, saw what an abject, evil moron he is for four longs years, and then you elected him again.

You are reaping what you have sown. Too bad.

Speaking of abject, bellowing buffoons… – For reasons that remain unclear, clownish sports commentator Dick Vitale put on his bermuda shorts and went out on the streets of Miami to shame Floridians for not wearing masks over the weekend.

As he was lecturing everyone else for not wear a mask, this braying jackass revealed he doesn’t even know how to wear his own:

Holy crap. You just can’t make this stuff up, never in a million years. The clowns will soon outnumber the rest of us. Maybe they already do.

That is all.

Vitale’s picture looks like a cartoon troops drew all over Europe:

    “Kilroy”

Not to dishonor the drawing, of course. The sketch is obviously smarter than Dick.

How did they pass the bar exam?

“The two attorneys busted for throwing a Molotov cocktail through a police car window during protests in Brooklyn early Saturday were trying to pass out the incendiary devices to demonstrators in the crowd, federal authorities said Monday.”

They probably clerk for Judge Sullivan.

President Trump could prohibit and eliminate private security in areas that close down police departments?

Defund cities (and city councils) that disband police departments.

I never had any desire to see New York City. Never.

    1. David Blackmon - June 29, 2020

My wife and I have been there probably 15 times in the last 12 years or so. It’s a beautiful city in may ways. But we will probably never go back – too risky now.

Why anyone thinks cities are wonderful is beyond me…

I’ll take bush country over concrete any day of the year… Lived in Vancouver while taking my Marine Ops and got out as soon as I finished. Hate cities and like you Silas, have zero desire to travel to any.. But each to their own.

      1. Mark Eaves - June 29, 2020

Cities are bad for your health. There was a show in the seventies called Green Acres presenting country people as buffoons, but there was a lot of truth behind the humor.

Off topic, I saw this at another forum regarding blm protesting in a target and lmao

I’ve done a lot of retail stocking, and I also have a good arm. When the first can of vegetables to the head dropped a fella, they wouldn’t notice. They’d start to panic when the third dude dropped, and either look for the source, or run. I’d pray for a nothing charge, because you have lots of ammo in the canned good aisle. And it hurts more, the closer you get.

    1. Jimmy MacAfee - June 29, 2020

Every time I shop, I look for ammo to throw in case some joker decides to commit mass murder. I generally don’t carry, even with a permit, but it doesn’t mean I don’t have situational awareness. I know a lot of people who have the same perspective.

Situational awareness is something everybody with good intentions should develop.

      1. brian - June 29, 2020

So whats the plan then if you are in a store, lets say a Target, and you are somewhat cornered?? Meaning that an escape route isn’t readily available, or semi blocked by a shooter???

You can have all the situational awareness in the world but if a shooter comes in and theres no way for you to escape safely, or you have your wife, kids, grandkids, with you??. Then what?? And we know that most mass shooters ARE statistically demoncraps/marxists.

You talk preparation… wouldn’t it be better to have that protection and never use it… than needing it and not having it?? IMO, if I lived in the US… I’d be conceal carry every day, everywhere.. But thats just my opinion which is a discussion point and not a indictment against you. And we pray it never comes to having to draw your firearm.

        1. Jimmy MacAfee - June 29, 2020

I shop alone; with a family, I might carry more often.

Trail running alone, I sometimes carry – because of critters and creeps.
Pepper spray, too, for bears…and creeps.
On paved trails in the city, pepper spray only, but with a pack that looks like a cc pack.

When I come home alone at night from the country, armed.

Situational awareness doesn’t solve every problem, but it helps a lot.

        2. Jimmy MacAfee - June 29, 2020

I don’t like it when anyone comes up behind me – that gets my attention; I always look for exits and monitor entrances, and for something to throw wherever I am. I admit my throwing arm ain’t what it used to be.

I’ve been in enough shit that I tend to run toward the action – which is why I stopped going to bars, because I foolishly got actively involved in breaking them up. Instinct. But there are times to duck and cover, too.

Did I use the word “awareness?” I think I did.

          1. brian - June 29, 2020

I’m on board with that.. Even in our small town and in Canukisatn where you are not allowed to protect yourself, I do much the same.

I know where exits are usually found and would avoid the main exits that everyone panics towards. I notice people acting out of the norm or vehicles moving like they are positioning themselves. I have a look around before getting in or out of my vehicle, those transition places. Criminals are opportunist slime that count on your oblivious state to take advantage of you.

When I’m in the bush, I carry even tho we are not allowed by law. I simply don’t cede my or my families protection to any police or govt force against any threat.

Here, we are not allowed carry of any firearms, period. Nor are you allowed to carry pepper spray, its prohibited and carries a serious judicial spanking. You can even be charged with assault protecting yourself in your home against an intruder, I was threatened with assault charges from the police when I defended myself, IN my home, from an intruder. .

We have become the marxist utopia all commies dream of and we are quickly going down the Venezuela path. So those who are true conservatives, those have firearms, do not rely on govt, police or any other org to protect themselves. They are generally very aware and know what types of things they can use at their finger tips as a defensive weapon.

Its a war… the battlefield is no place to sleep.

btw… Thx for that responce too. It helps give people ideas about self protection.

“A fire broke out backstage in a theatre. The clown came out to warn the public; they thought it was a joke and applauded. He repeated it; the acclaim was even greater. I think that’s just how the world will come to an end: to general applause from wits who believe it’s a joke.”

      Dang that’s sobering!

  7. American_League - June 29, 2020

As for the City Council of Minneapolis, They need to be defunded! They also need have the same security as the citizenry, or pay for private security OUT OF THEIR OWN POCKET!

  8. D3F1ANT - June 29, 2020

About half of those degenerates on the council are minorities; as is the police chief. So…how can the whining Leftists claim there’s systemic racism in Minneapolis? Systemic stupidity, perhaps…

    1. brian - June 29, 2020

Yep… All in China, the epitome of corruption. In every market, industry and governing body.

Just sold off some gold last week and made a very tidy profit. Metals are a good secure form of wealth retention, along with dirt, real estate. If you buy metals buy eagles or Canadian Mint.

Because this is mainly based in China its unlikely to have that great of impact on the gold market.
Anybody buying gold would be able to tell the weight differences in hand.. If in doubt a small scale will tell you if its fake or not. China tried this with gold plated lead some years back too.

Do business with China and you seriously increase your risks of being cheated. CCP is all about cheating, lying and abject corruption, so follows most businesses. Buy non-Chineses goodsonly.

      Its a war

    2. Jimmy MacAfee - June 29, 2020

China’s steel production was largely faked, too. The numbers didn’t add up. They blamed plant managers, but it’s likely that the fakery originated at the top of the CCP. Liars lie.

      1. brian - June 29, 2020

Communism’s two consistent traits are the violence which it uses to gain and hold power. And, the endemic corruption from the very top to the very bottom,

Its a system where every level is, lets say, encouraged to give reports that highlight just how great the CCP is. It permeates everything and everything is affected by it.

Its best to avoid everything Chinese… sooner or later… it bites
