The Evening Wrap: The WHO is Back to Obfuscation After a Rare Moment of Honesty

After a rare moment of actual honesty, the World Health Organization has now returned to its normal obfuscation and narrative engineering. Dr. Maria Van Kerkhove, the WHO’s technical lead on the Wuhan Virus, created a firestorm on Monday when she went off-script and admitted publicly that asymptomatic people “very rarely” transmit the virus to others.

That admission, which has become increasingly apparent over time to anyone really following the data trail on the virus’s spread, effectively meant that pretty much everything we have done as a society in response the virus has been wrong. It means that the right approach all along would have been to quarantine those who have tested positive, protect the vulnerable elderly and those with pre-conditions by having them stay at home, and effectively treat those who became ill.

Instead, based faulty guidance from inept “experts,” catastrophically inaccurate statistical models, dishonest toadying by the WHO on behalf of the ChiCom government and rampant hysteria in the global news media, we shut down the economy, threw tens of millions out of work and destroyed hundreds of thousands of businesses. Even worse, we still have a dozen or more Democrat governors keeping their states locked down for purely political motives. All based on a false narrative perpetuated by the WHO.

Obviously, this could not stand, especially since Dr. Kerkhove’s admission destroys any shred of justifications for governors like Gretchen Whitmer and Ralph Northam to keep their states in lockdown mode through November. Thus it was that Dr. Kerkhove was back in the media today claiming that she had been misunderstood, and that she had sort of, kind of misspoken.

As reported by Sara Carter:

She said during a live Q & A that streamed on social media, “I was responding to a question at the press conference. I wasn’t stating a policy of WHO or anything like that. I was just trying to articulate what we know. And in that, I used the phrase ‘very rare,’ and I think that that’s a misunderstanding to state that asymptomatic transmission globally is very rare. I was referring to a small subset of studies.”

“We do know that some people who are asymptomatic or some people who don’t have symptoms can transmit the virus on,” she said.  Then she added that she was relying on “two or three studies”, as well as unpublished reports from some countries to the WHO for her statement. Then she tried to explain that based on some models (mind you not studies), the virus could have a higher rate of infection transmission from asymptomatic persons to others.

“Some estimates of around 40 percent of transmission may be due to asymptomatic, but those are from models, and so I didn’t include that in my answer yesterday but wanted to make sure that I covered that here,” she said.

[End]

Get that? She was referring to peer-reviewed scientific studies and unpublished reports from some countries when she made her statement, from which she really did not actually back off. But then she goes on to say that, well golly, some models show the virus could have a high rate of asymptomatic transmission.

Oh. You mean like the models that told us back in March that 2 million Americans would be dead by now? Those models?

So, it’s like the Climate Change scam, then: Who are you gonna believe, our models or your own lyin’ eyes?

In the end Dr. Kerkhove said just enough today to provide the media/Democrat hysteria factory with the propaganda it needed to prop up its false narrative for a little longer.

These people are despicable. Enemies of the people, one and all.

That is all.

Liars gonna lie, cheaters gonna cheat, bureaucrats gonna flip flop. The back pedal was pathetic and clearly lame. Not going to listen to anybody from the WHO anymore now or ever again.

Someone at the WHO, The Jerk from Ethiopia? Xi’s non medical ‘doctor’ puppet or Xi himself probably took her to the woodshed and told her what to say and how to say it, or she could be taking a one way trip to Arkansas, or Chappaqua.

She and the WHO have as much creditability as our CDC (another gov agency that should be defunded Mr. President like the WHO) and Fluki and his girlfriend, the scarf queen Pixie.

The genie is out of the bottle, the (Dem) Donkey has taken a schiff and left the barn; they can try, but they really can’t shove the schiff back into the Democrat, and closing the barn door after the (Jack)ass has left won’t do much good either.

In the past, before ‘the One’, when the media really went in the tank for everything left, they still had some creditability to about half the country – but not now. The old saying: “Oh what a wicked web we weave when first we practice to deceive”, has and will continue to haunt the DNC mouth organs and print prostitutes for years to come..

Another thought about props and how these people never learn and keep using same playbook over and over again and (thankfully) getting diminishing returns:

I did not know George Floyd was a senator, did not know he was a war “hero”, did not know he was a member of the ‘Keating Five’, did not know he was a POW, did not know he was the alter ego of Paul Wellstone and Ace McLame regarding their funerals. His funerals are over-the-top, just like that show Klink and Schmucky and the other Dems put on yesterday with their props

Oh, and ‘the OPRAH’ has a two part special (OWN Spotlight) tonight and tomorrow night on Where Do…? featuring all kinds of AA ‘leaders’ like the Abrams Tank etc.. It is on her OWN network, and a bunch (13! at least) of the conglomerate networks like SCI, ID, AHC, DEST, DIY, COOK, TRAVL, FOOD, HGTV, TLC, DSC, and ANPL on my Comcast cable system, which I will soon be schiff-canning. Can’t wait to miss that as it runs against Gomer Pyle and Green Acres and my DVR is full. Anyways.

Musk didn’t get as much coverage on his return to space achievement a couple of weeks ago, and many of these same outfits don’t cover the president.

I’m really surprised it isn’t on the NFL, NBA , MLB, FS1, ESPN 1,2, and 3…, LIFE, HIST, MTV, BET, LMN, and OXY or THC – stay tuned as I’m sure it will soon be reran on those networks too, as soon as the copyright issues are removed and it goes to public domain. And, since live sports are basically nonexistent… If you missed it tonight on those channels, or don’t get those channels, don’t worry, I’m sure DNCNN, MSDNC, CNBC, HLN and probably even FOX News or FBN, and even the main networks will air it at some point in the near future. And, if it is at all well received, look for it to be rerun on Nov 1 and 2. And don’t forget about anniversary airings. DVDs with extra enlightened commentary will soon be available I’m sure.

What’s next, de Bozo, going to name some streets in NYC (he is renaming five – one in each NYC bough BLM) George Floyd street? Why stop there, let’s name an aircraft carrier after him and while were at it, rename Minneapolis after him?

With ‘the OPRAH’ hosting this show, does this mean she might be Joe Figurehead’s VP pick, or maybe actually seek the nomination? Wouldn’t surprise me in the least.
