Wednesday News Roundup: Texans Can Take Care of Texans; The Rest of the Country Needs Help

Today’s Campaign Update (Because the Campaign Never Ends)

In case you’re wondering why Texas Governor Greg Abbott, in a press conference yesterday with the police chiefs and mayors of Fort Worth and Dallas, said that he would not be asking for military assistance from the federal government to quell any out-of-control demonstrations in our state, all you need to see is this photo taken last night in the halls of the Texas Capitol Building by Glenn DeShields:

Image may contain: indoor

Those are Texas Department of Public Safety troopers, sleeping on the marble floors. I have walked those floors many times. They are 100% firm – they don’t give an inch, just like the officers getting a few moments of rest on them.

“So we will not be asking the United States military to come into the state of Texas because we know that Texans can take care of Texans. We have tremendous police forces in Dallas, in Fort Worth, in the surrounding suburbs across the entire state. We have an abundance of resources that are being provided by the Texas Department of Public safety,” said Abbott.

God Bless Texas.

Why doesn’t this Black life matter? – Dave Dorn, a retired captain of the St. Louis Metro Police Department, was murdered by thugs who were looting a pawn shop where he was working security on Tuesday. Mr. Dorn happened to be a Black man, as were the vicious thugs who killed him.

Because Captain Dorn was killed by black men, the national news media is essentially ignoring this story. A web search indicates that only ABC News bothered to file even an online story about this senseless killing, and it was reported in the context of several police killings and injuries that happened on Tuesday, with this headline: “Small-town police chief killed as officers in 3 cities wounded during violence at George Floyd protests.”

To make the story even more demeaning to Captain Floyd’s memory, it does not even mention the fact that he was a Black man. I kid you not. Read it for yourself.

Our news media is an existential threat to our country.

Here’s your Ironic Story of the Day. – Check out this tweet issued by the Associated Press on Tuesday:

Just a reminder that Joe Biden has already spent 16,089 days of his life in public office. In all of that time, his main contribution to addressing “institutional racism” was to co-author the 1993 crime bill that… wait for it … targeted Black men.

But he’s now the Democrat Party’s Great White Hope for solving all the problems faced by America’s Black community. If you’re Black and you fall for this, you truly do get what you deserve. Stop this madness.

Speaking of corrupt news media… – The Secret Service guard station that sits just outside the White House grounds was burned last night by the rioters in Washington DC:

A web search shows not a single story on this incident from our national news media. NOT ONE.

But hey, that’s not fake news, so… – One story that the entire national media focused on Tuesday is – predictably – completely fake. It is the story still being pushed this morning that the federal Park Police, in clearing the path for President Trump and his entourage to make the walk from the White House to St. John’s Church on Monday afternoon, used “tear gas and rubber bullets” to intimidate the violent rioters who have caused so much damage and injured at least 60 Secret Service and other law enforcement personnel.

I watched it all happen live, and it was very clear that none of that happened. The Park Police issued a statement Tuesday clarifying what actually did happen:

“At approximately 6:33 pm, violent protestors on H Street NW began throwing projectiles including bricks, frozen water bottles and caustic liquids,” the USPP said in a statement. “The protestors also climbed onto a historic building at the north end of Lafayette Park that was destroyed by arson days prior. Intelligence had revealed calls for violence against the police, and officers found caches of glass bottles, baseball bats and metal poles hidden along the street.

“As many of the protestors became more combative, continued to throw projectiles, and attempted to grab officers’ weapons, officers then employed the use of smoke canisters and pepper balls when protestors did scatter from the area.”

[End]

Reporters from NBC and the Washington Post continue to spread their fiction this morning. Because they are corrupt, fake-news-promoting enemies of the people. That’s what they are.

For those of you still holding out hope that Salt Lake City U.S. Attorney John Huber might still produce some shocking indictments of Obamagate bad actors, the President of the United States would like to disabuse you of that silly notion:

Remember, Huber was supposedly appointed by former AG Jeff Sessions to investigate the Obama FBI’s fake investigation of the Clinton email scandal way back in late 2017. He has to date produced nothing because that’s really what Sessions appointed him to do.

Now do you understand why President Trump detests Mr. Sessions, and supports his opponent in the upcoming runoff election, Tommy Tubberville? It really isn’t complicated.

Reminder: None of this rioting ever really was about George Floyd. – Rioters in Boston last night defaced a monument called “Glory.” The monument depicts heroic Union solders during the U.S. Civil War.

The solders all have one thing in common: They’re Black. They’re the members of the 54th Regiment who became the first Black soldiers to fight in the Civil War.

You could never make this stuff up.

That is all.

Today’s news moves at a faster pace than ever. Whatfinger.com is my go-to source for keeping up with all the latest events in real time.

It was notable how the rioting was significantly subdued last night. Is that response mobilization coming up to speed, or bad polling data for the Dems?

Somehow this black life doesn’t matter either:

Levin played this audio last night and it is heart-wrenching. As he said, this won’t be making the ‘news’ at CNN or any of the other fake networks or papers.

I don’t completely disagree with Goldman, but I’m not buying his theory:

    https://pjmedia.com/columns/david-p-goldman/2020/06/02/the-economics-of-civil-unrest-n484315

Economics may have played a role, but the rioting was a pre-planned op by domestic terrorists, pure and simple.

I agree with you; the despair in poorer areas was being quickly replaced with optimism and hope; the Left was losing them: President Trump was doing something that no one in either party considered doing, as he offered hope to human beings, not treating them as auto-votes. Trump was giving them – and us – hope.

One thing that marks the Left: they hate hope.

Real Christians, not liberal clergy and the religious class, know the meaning of hope. G0D does not produce in us a feeling of despair, of hopelessness or complacency.

    Truth:

It is full-on no-holds-barred desperation to take out Trump. They are destroying the civil society to do it.

Huber was “a garbage disposal unit.”

    Aptly put, Mr. President.

According to Tucker Carlson, President Trump’s son in law is also a garbage disposal unit. I’d say: a deeply burrowed tick, sucking at everything he does. I was surprised at this from Carlson (probably shouldn’t have been) considering the tick’s family apparently owned (or owns) some of the many of the tenements in Baltimore.

Someone posted the fact that the Inner Harbor in Baltimore is surrounded by dangerous neighborhoods. Absolutely true; in 2001 around the time of the train tunnel fire, I was attending a Gross Anatomy class/workshop at the medical school (this wasn’t for doctors) and during one lunch break I wandered out of safe territory. I asked a fellow for directions, and he pointed me in the exact wrong direction, into the scums. It took me only a short trip to see that I was being set up for robbing or beating or worse, and I went in the opposite direction and went right to the school/hospital to the seminar. I have never been back to Baltimore, and I never will again. Nor should anyone. It is a diseased city, and should be put to the bulldozer.

President Trump has to be able to trust someone. McMasters deprived him of some of his best, and Kelly was an absolute slime. Meadows seems to be righting the ship, but Tucker Carlson is likely right.

Used to be that California was the predictor of where the rest of the country would go. That’s not based on current assessments, though; looks like Texas and Florida are the states leading the way.

This reminds me of a sci-fi series called “Cities in Flight.” Not good writing, not a reasonable set of presumptions for a story, but it looks like the name is going to be descriptive of some of the “major” cities. No funding for the self-destructive and those who set their own fires.

Texans know how to put out fires, just as some feds know how to start them. Waco comes to mind. (The FBI was as corrupt then as it is now.)

  7. Gregg - June 3, 2020

There was an orchestrated all night (10+ hour) marathon in Nashville by the (D) mayor and the (D) dominated city council where the 5% budget increase was approved along with a 32% property tax increase by an overwhelming 32 (or so) to 1 vote. The meeting was overwhelmed by the leftists and one of the main topics discussed was, as Dave would say: “wait for it”, defund the police department. The Nashville PD is already short 108 officers!

As Dave stated yesterday, whatever “renaissance” was occurring in the big cities, which were devastated by LBJ’s “Great Society” and Jimmy Carter’s Department of Education’s which firmly established the strength of the Teachers Unions in the 1960s and 1970s, is over.

These actions by all these overwhelmingly Democratic ‘leaders’ go far beyond ‘mistakes’ and incompetence; their acts and policies, which was well hidden until CV-19 and George Floyd, are every bit as well coordinated as the Antifa and BLM insurrection. And they are probably funded by the same sources.

IMO, there is about 8% (30 million) of the population that is the perpetually outraged mob and perhaps 1 – 2 percent of those belong to the “White Supremist” crowed. The corrupt media portrays the ratio in the reverse. Combine those numbers with the 40 or so percent of the country that has been propagandized to the left’s agenda and we get the consistent 48% guaranteed voting block for the Democrats.

As Lincoln said “A house divided against itself, cannot stand”. Well that is exactly where we are today and I don’t see anything but a massive civil war in our future.

How many will be casualties will there be? I have no idea, but I do know that the flames of all this anti-American passion have been stoked for the last seventy years by numerous forces both foreign (Moscow first and now Beijing and Tehran etc.) and domestic, via all the American institutions we here have spoken about over the years.

2020 is shaping up to be a historically sucky year and of course it will be portrayed by the MSM (D) as all Trump’s fault. Since that is the case no matter what he says or does, the President may as well go for broke and send in the military to NYC and EVERY OTHER CITY where the riots are occurring and issue a shoot to kill order and eliminate a few thousand of the left’s snowflake foot soldiers, restore law order and let the chips fall where they may.

Lincoln also had a tough reelection in 1864, but his strong leadership through the civil war (a real crisis) earned him a 55% popular vote victory over a former do-nothing general who he fired. He also won the electoral college 210-21.

This is the beginning of an actual overt civil war; better to have a few thousand causalities now and end it rather than keep trying to bring the country together, a fool’s errand, and lose millions later when you are not the president and won’t be around to be the rebuilder.

Addendum to the Nashville riot, tax and budget situation:

Last weekend the police were told to not wear their armor etc. in order to not offend or anger the rent-a-mob rioters. Then when all hell broke loose, they had to retreat and the courthouse was burned.

Overnight the council convened to determine the 5% budget and 32% property tax increases and was totally overwhelmed by the pro tax anti police crowd and on the phones.

The city was broke and under threat of a state takeover if it didn’t get its financial house in order BEFORE CV-19!

Recent and proven reliable polling showed that fully 2/3rds of Nashvillians were absolutely against the proposed tax and budget increases.

Competent speculation is that the Mayor Cooper cut a deal with Antifa and BLM’s ‘leadership’ etc. to stand down the police and let the rioters trash the city in exchange for blocking out the anti tax calls in the “open” hearings on the tax and budget issue. Furthermore, who runs public meetings that run from like 7:00 PM to beyond sunrise? What are they, a Democratically controlled Congress?

The reason I bring this up on a national forum is because this entirely plausible scenario is likely to be repeated in order to force tax increases, budget increases, and police budget cuts in every other Democratically controlled city.

What makes this even more likely true is that prominent Democrat ‘leaders’ like AOC have already openly called for ICE to be defunded and disbanded.

    2. brian - June 3, 2020

“as Dave would say: “wait for it”, defund the police department.”

This has been the plan all along. Remove police presence or made to stand down. Then when the mobs have destroyed as much property as they can get away with the mayors etc will ask for monetary ‘help’. Not help quelling the riots but just give us the money. When Trump doesn’t they’ll scream like banshees Orange Man Bad, Dictator, RAAAAACIST… you get the idea.

Notice the media is setting up for the return of the virus too… Starting to push that harder now.

  8. Jonesy - June 3, 2020

I don’t understand why there isn’t a 2 block perimeter around the WH. Why are they letting protesters right up to the fence?

NYC was still a mess last night. But hey progress….they’re fighting each other now:

    https://www.citizenfreepress.com/breaking/wild-footage-from-nyc/

We need more NG out there. And when does the Antifa round up start? Let’s go folks…shut this sh!t down.

      Now this was just funny:

  9. Cynthia - June 3, 2020

If George Floyd had been white, would there be cities burning and police officers murdered? I think not – but why . . .? Do blacks feel entitled to harm others in retribution for slavery – even though they were never slaves? IDK. Hard to get my head around it.

    1. phineas gage - June 3, 2020

It is the result of over five decades of indoctrination on the Democrat plantation. The most wanton destruction of a group of people this side of the Holocaust–family, schools, church, dignity were all key elements of black culture (in the face of overt racism) before the Democrat government onslaught. Their civil society has been destroyed, and they see no reason not to destroy that of others. It is chaos, a race to the bottom, where only tyrants and dictators rule over a wasted landscape. The abyss awaits this nation if we don’t take action now.

    2. brian - June 3, 2020

I’d venture a guess Cynthia that only Dem blacks think this way. Its the ‘victim’ indoctrination they’ve been told their whole lives in order to take the focus off the real culprets who are oppressing them… Three guesses who that is and the first two guess don’t count.

    3. Silas - June 3, 2020

You have 35 years or more of the Al Sharptons, Jessie Jacksons and Farrakahns out there banging the race baiting drum. Add to that 35 years of government spending on welfare that has broken the nuclear black family and made them dependent upon government handouts, poor schools and crime infested neighborhoods and you get the entitlement/hate of all not black that we see today.

Booker T. Washington quotation: There is a class of colored people who make a business of keeping the troubles, the wrongs, and the hardships of the Negro race before the public. Some of these people do not want the Negro to lose his grievances, because they do not want to lose their jobs. There is a certain class of race-problem solvers who don’t want the patient to get well.

    4. Gregg - June 3, 2020

It would have been a real conundrum for MN AG Ellis to have charged all four cops in the Floyd death if one or more of them were Muslim like the one Muslim cop who blew away the 40 year old White Woman on a 911 call a couple years ago.

Think about that scenario (or if the victim was Muslim and the cop black or vice versa – Identity politics/”hate” crimes anyone) if you think things are bad in Minneapolis now.

  10. brian - June 3, 2020

LOVE the header pics… They are awesome and thx to those guy/gals that are putting their lives on the line in service to their country…
