Saturday News Roundup: Trump Declares, Whitmer Extends, Pritzker Sued, DeSantis Frees

Today’s Campaign Update (Because the Campaign Never Ends)

But what will he do to force the issue? – On Friday afternoon, President Donald Trump (I never tire of typing those three glorious words) declared the nation’s churches, synagogues, temples, mosques and other houses of worship to be “essential” and demanded that the 50 state governors act to open them “right now, this weekend.”

The President’s demand was accompanied by a simultaneous release of CDC guidelines for the opening of places of worship, which formerly enjoyed the absolute protection of the First Amendment to the Constitution, but now apparently are only allowed to operate at the whims of governors, 24 of whom are Democrats who are hostile to individual freedoms generally. Somehow in all of the panicked decision-making committed in response to this Chinese plague, places of worship were given lower priority than liquor stores, pot shops and abortion clinics by federal health “experts.”

Hey, next time we have a pandemic, maybe the president at that time will think to have a constitutional “expert” on his response task force, too.

Now, you can be absolutely certain that not a single one of those 24 Democrat governors will voluntarily reopen their churches anytime in the near future, or make any special effort to comply with the President’s wishes. You can also be certain that many of the Republicans will also slow-play this CDC guidance. Given that it is not at all clear what power the President would have to hurry them along or usurp their authority in our federal system, Mr. Trump will apparently be left to rely on his Department of Justice to start suing governors who refuse to comply.

And we all know what a slow process…oh, wait…

Well, that was fast. – And just like clockwork, the DOJ filed a challenge to the religious freedom restrictions being enforced in Illinois by toadish Governor J.B. Pritzker. From a report at NPR:

The Trump administration is supporting a lawsuit challenging the Illinois governor’s stay-at-home order. The legal maneuver marks the first time the U.S. Department of Justice has weighed in on state level COVID-19 policies that are unrelated to religious matters.

The department on Friday filed a statement of interest in the case against Democratic Gov. J.B. Pritzker, saying the protective coronavirus measures in place exceed the limits of his office.

“In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Governor of Illinois has, over the past two months, sought to rely on authority under the Illinois Emergency Management Agency Act to impose sweeping limitations on nearly all aspects of life for citizens of Illinois, significantly impairing in some instances their ability to maintain their economic livelihoods,” the department said in a statement.

The government is siding with Republican state Rep. Darren Bailey who filed the initial suit in state court earlier this month. He argued that Pritzker’s executive order violates a 30-day limit on the governor’s emergency powers put in place by the state legislature.

[End]

Cool. Now do Michigan.

Commentary: Why it matters when Gov. J.B. Pritzker wears a mask ...

Speaking of Michigan, Generalissimo Gretchen Whitmer has done it again. – The aspiring banana republic dictator extended her science-devoid stay-at-home order on Friday through June 12, in the process creating an entirely new rationale for keeping her state on lockdown: “If we’re going to lower the chance of a second wave and continue to protect our neighbors and loved ones from the spread of this virus, we must continue to do our part by staying safer at home.”

Oh. So, now Democrats have a new narrative: The stay-at-home strategy wasn’t about “flattening the curve,” as they all assured us was the case back in March; now, it has morphed into preventing an imaginary “second wave” of the Wuhan Virus that no one knows will ever come. And even if we knew such a second wave was coming, there literally no scientific or data-driven basis for thinking that staying at home in June would protect anyone in October or December or whenever the Democrat talking point memo imagines the “second wave” is coming.

Herr Gretchen is no longer governing her state – she’s just campaigning to be Joe Biden’s running mate, and believes that keeping the boot on the necks of Michiganders helps her in that cause. This is a very, very dangerous woman, folks.

Gretchen Whitmer | Ricochet

In response to the Generalissimo’s dictatorial reign of power, hundreds of Michigan citizens gathered on the steps of the capitol building in Lansing on Friday to…cut hair. I kid you not. Led by 77 year-old barber Karl Manke, the group actually set up barber’s chairs and had Manke and other hair stylists clean people up right on the capitol steps:

Hilarious. These are Americans. This is what America looks like, Herr Gretchen.

Somebody needs to lock this guy in a closet and throw away the key. – After spending the last 3 months as the leading advocate for these interminable stay-at-home orders and frequently telling TV audiences that we may need to keep doing this for 12 to 18 months or whenever we have a miracle vaccine to shoot into everyone’s veins, Dr. Anthony Fauci actually had this to say on Friday:

You seriously could never make this stuff up. Never in a million, trillion years.

This is what leadership looks like. – While Dr. Fauci and the Democrat governors were focused on their mission to destroy the country on Friday, the best and most effective Governor in the land did this:

Can anyone doubt that Gov. DeSantis will also be among the first to lift all restrictions on church attendance?

Ron DeSantis is the Anti-Whitmer.

DeSantis banks on Trump in his corner for Florida governor's race ...

Let freedom ring.

Have a great Saturday, if you can.

That is all.

Lots of sites under attack by Chinese bots. Back for a spell.

Nurse Ratched Whitmer would be the most unpopular VP choice in history; she won’t be chosen. Being set up for a black VP choice, because of Racist Joe’s stupid comments. They have no other choice.

Nurse Ratched Whitmer is likely to suffer at the hands of Randall P. McMuprhy; while on vacation or doing whatever she doesn’t want the rest of her state to be doing.

She reminds me of the rich kid in college who wanted to live in the time of the Czar’s reign in Russia, because the poor were starving in the streets, and he said that the rich were only as rich as the poor were poor. Of course, this little flamer was a rich boy, a spoiled brat, and never would have expected to be poor himself.

Nurse Ratched Whitmer is exactly like him; she’s free because the rest of her state is not. By contrast.

    Over and out.

By the way, I set a trap: I used HIPPA (intentionally.) The enemy is now writing articles decrying those who use the fake acronym. Of course, they’re spreading lies, but I caught them in an article today. They’re watching, reading. (Screw them and their Chinese overlords.)

There is a privacy rule in the Health Insurance Privacy and Accountability Act. Contact Tracing breaks this rule, and they can’t claim otherwise. The list of permitted uses doesn’t give authorities the right to force churches, for example, to identify all their members and participants. It also doesn’t give government power to ask businesses for lists of customers.

The use of credit cards is a way of tracking your movements and purchases. That’s why there’s a trend toward banning cash. Not safety; tyranny. Use cash whenever possible, and if you’re a merchant, encourage the use of cash. Good business owners keep records of all cash transactions, not by customer name, but by amount and date of receipt.

Goodfella Prickster, by the way, sent his family to Florida for vacation while his state was imprisoned. Must have some Princesses and Karens in his family.

Bye now. Work on preparations continues.

PS: Fauci’s admission means that he’s been shown the data: the CCP war on Freedom, on the United States and much of the world; means he’s been read in on certain information. I won’t bash him for changing his mind.

Wray, on the other hand, is merely trying to save his job. Nobody believes him, and he has no ones’ respect. FISA already demonstrated his fecklessness, his incompetence and his arrogance – not to mention his complete failure to understand the gravity of the coup against candidate Trump, President-elect Trump and President Trump and all the people around him. He should be fired at the exact time Sullivan the Serf is taken off the case he’s ginning up against Flynn, Part II.

        Cheers.

“…means he’s been read in on certain information. I won’t bash him for changing his mind.”

Maybe you won’t bash him Jimmy, but I will. I very soon saw this guy for the hack he is dressed in a pretty suit and a fancy title.

I suspect his being “read in” is Trump TELLING him your are going to be marginalized one way or the other and “retied” very soon.

Now Tony, the choice is yours on how your “retirement” is going to go: Either get off the China, Gates, Big Pharma, vaccine, no school opening until next year bandwagon, and start forcefully stating that the economy and the country must be opened soon, etc. etc., or I will Twitter you to death with facts about your flawed “models” and your disastrous advice given to the nation under YOUR $8,000,000,000.00 (BILLION) per year CDC, whose budget will be cut at least in half next year. And tell your girlfriend, the Scarf Queen, the same applies to her and every other agenda driven hack in the entire medical community.

We will know if my analysis of the “read in” is correct if Faxui and his Sister in doom and gloom prognostication suddenly begin to extol the virtues of HCQ, and diminish the prospects of an ‘effective’ vaccine being available prior to total reopening.

I strongly suspect that this recent COVID fiasco was a “beta test” of sorts. We now know from actual events and reliable sources that this “pandemic” was based on nothing more that a seasonal flu, that it was in most respects no more medically serious that seasonal influenzas of years gone by, that the elderly and compromised were most at risk (as usual), and that the “social distancing”, lock-downs, paper masks and other foolishness really had no effect at all, except to make our lives miserable.

But we had an opportunity to see what kind of leadership emerges and dominates in a crisis. While historically, any such event would have elicited calls to prayer and maybe even fasting, our current leaders elevated themselves to the level of god and decided that Christian worship was non-essential activity. We now have a very small window of opportunity to publicly identify and replace many of these miscreants. Let’s not blow it.

      Absolutely correct stevekerp,

Unfortunately few, if any of these constitutional violating dictator wannabe governors and mayors are up this year – which furthers my belief that they are in COLLUSION with each other in pushing their anti American, anti Trump actions/agenda. There is no way these simpletons are doing this all on their own; it most certainly is orchestrated by someone running the DNC.

While the faces of this economy and civil rights destroying conspiracy are not on the ballot this year, their state legislators, excepting NJ and VA, and town councils are up this year. Every single politician with a (D) after their name needs to be voted out of office in order to take away their power and send a message.

However, every House member is up this year and every Dem. Rep. – especially the lying “moderate” ones, the newbies, who deceptively won in 2018 by lying about how they will be ‘independent’ from Nancy Klink (all but one or two voted to impeach the president on the two Bull Schiff articles that aren’t even crimes) – they all need to be defeated.

The following dictatorships, formerly known as free states have Democratic Senators up this year and they must also be defeated, again, because every one voted to convict Trump, most always vote to deny Trump his judges and other nominees and are just plain rotten senators (name/state/year first elected/age):

      Jones: AL, 2018, 66
      Coons: DE, 2010, 56
      Durbin: IL, 1997, 75
      Markey: MA, 2013, 73
      Peters: MI, 2015, 61
      Smith: MN, 2018, 62
      Shaheen: NH, 2009, 73
      Booker: NJ, 2013, 51
Udall: NM, 2009, 71 – may be retiring?
      Merkley: OR, 2009, 63
      Reed: RI, 1997, 70
      Warner: VA, 2009, 65

Send the only message you can this year to your dictators, and retire these senators now for the good of your state and the good of the country. Defeating them will send a powerful message to the tyrants that they are next and that their citizens will not forget in 2021, 2022, and 2023.

While acknowledging all the faults of JFK and RFK, when Alabama’s Democrat Governor George Wallace stood in the schoolhouse door, the national guard forced him to step aside. the same needs to be done now if thats what it takes to open houses of worship.

      Great historical reference healthfield.

Absolutely correct and Trump should to this to every governor D or R! He must smack down the Dictatorial Dems and we (he) don’t need the few slow-witted (at best) RINO Republicans from states like Ohio and Maryland.

PS heathfield, I think is was actually Eisenhower who federalized the National Guard to enforce the Brown V Board of Education SC Decision in 1954, so JFK and his AG Bobbie don’t even get to claim credit for that.

However, the premise still pertains, the president can override the states in certain cases.

Read the Left Wing Newspapers in Michigan that no one buys – they are praising Witless. Herr Governor knows she can do anything she wants and no one will stop her. Witless and her AG have no intention of following court orders. When the 77 years old barber won in court. She sent in the health department to yank his license on a separate violation. The GOP in Michigan are spineless cowards hiding behind their desks and collecting their State paychecks.
