Democrats Unveil Their Plans for Permanent Impeachment

Today’s Campaign Update, Part II
(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

If it wasn’t clear to you before today, it should be now. – The Democrats plan to make impeachment a permanent feature of their owning a majority of seats in the House of Representatives. Further, they plan to make the coming 2020 elections a referendum on their attempt to also gain control of the Senate.

That became clear on Monday, as reported by Politico:

In a filing to the D.C. Circuit Court of Appeals, House General Counsel Douglas Letter argued that the House’s demands for grand jury materials connected to former special counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation were still urgent because such evidence might become relevant to the Senate’s expected impeachment trial next month.

But Letter went further to note that even apart from the Senate trial, the House Judiciary Committee intends to continue its impeachment investigation arising from the Mueller probe on its own merit.

If it wasn’t already clear to you before, it should be now: The Democrat Party plans to not only make impeachment a permanent feature of its majority in the House of Representatives, it obviously plans to make the 2020 senate elections a referendum on using that body for the same purposes.

The Democrats don’t believe they have a candidate who can actually defeat Donald Trump at the polls next November, so their plan is to make the 2020 congressional elections a de facto referendum on removing Trump from office once he is re-elected.

Neal Katyal, a former acting solicitor general under Barack Hussein Obama, previewed this looming tactic in a tweet last week:

Texas Democrat Cong. Al Green also previewed the Democrat tactic around the same time:

“A president can be impeached more than once,” Green said, “So, we can do this, we can move forward with what we have on the table currently, we can take this before the Senate and we can still investigate other issues and when the president has committed additional offenses, and my suspicion is that he will, we can take those before the Senate.”

“There is no limit on the number of times the Senate can vote to convict or not a president, no limit to the number of times the House can vote to impeach or not a president,” Green continued. “So, my belief is that the speaker will probably say we’re going to move forward with what we have now, but we’re not going to end investigations and that there may be possible opportunities to do other things at a later time.”

So, those who were thinking that surely San Fran Nan would get control of her House caucus once this impeachment circus has failed in the Senate, well, think again. The belief that Pelosi was somehow dragged kicking and screaming into the impeachment farce by the far left wing of her caucus is nonsense: She is fully bought in and leading this process every step of the way.

She and her team are turning the House of Representatives into a permanent, 435-member impeachment committee, led by their Lawfare lawyers. And their plan is to turn the 2020 congressional elections into a referendum on doing the same thing to the U.S. Senate.

The audacity practiced here by the Democrats is exceeded only by their mendacity.

That is all.

Too bad the libs only have one more year left.

    1. Gregg - December 16, 2019

      Huh?

      1. Zeke - December 17, 2019

Not a deep critical thinker, is Gregg.
The OP means the leftist Democrats only have one year with a majority in the legislature. They’ll lose control of the lower house, and have virtually no chance of taking the upper house.
Furthermore, it’s looking like they haven’t a snowball’s chance of even coming close to taking the house on 1600 Pennsylvania Ave.

        1. Jimmy MacAfee - December 17, 2019

I respect and admire Gregg. I do understand what you’re saying and what the original poster meant, but we should avoid becoming a circular firing squad: let the Dims do that, themselves.

          1. Gregg - December 17, 2019

Thanks Jimmy, What I strive to do here is be clear and unambiguous. When Mensa said too bad the libs only have one more year left, it could be easily construed by non political people who may be new to this site as a lamentation that libs may lose next year.

I understand sarcasm, and like it, but these days with so much misconstruing of conservative messages we should do our best to make things clear and make sure our comments are in the intended context.

Reached out to Haley Stevens, our newly elected Dumocrat in MI District 11 (been R for decades, but Millennials got recreational weed on the ballot, They always pull straight D)… I pointed out the Clown Shows in the house violated Due Process, Rules of Evidence, “Innocent until proven guilty, and most of all, the 6th Amendment right to face your accuser. Her response was: “I am deeply alarmed by reports alleging that the President used the power of his office to pressure a foreign head of state for his own personal political gain… I believe it is critically important for the oversight body of this nation – the United States Congress – to take allegations regarding the President’s conduct very seriously, as they could have dire implications for our national security and democratic values.

Over the past few weeks, the House has heard substantial evidence presented to the Intelligence Committee regarding the facts of the President’s actions. In addition, witnesses brought before us by the Judiciary Committee have provided testimony on the grounds for impeachment. These witnesses have shed light on the very serious allegation that President Trump attempted to bribe the President of Ukraine by withholding critical military assistance for personal political gain. I was particularly concerned by evidence contained within the Intelligence Committee report.”

Clearly she does not see the writing on the wall, and omits her Oath to the US Constitution… Bye Bye Haley come 2021.

There are health issues, and there are health issues: a lot of Dems are ill, old and can’t leave this earth soon enough. But they will, because the Eternity Train is rolling, and Cummings was only the first in a line of old coots to hop aboard. Pelosi is not long; H.R. Clinton isn’t either; Joe Biden is a stroke away from midnight; Feinstein is gasping. And not just them. Expect a lot of Demonrat Celestial Discharges in 2020.

I thought I’d cheer things up a bit around here.

Well, as far as the Perpetual Impeachment: no. Not the way things will go; too linear. Way too linear.

I pray for her repentance and best. And a speedy exit, without pain or suffering. All of us have an expiration date; hers is sooner than most of us.

See the townhalls, where people like Schiff are getting hammered? And not just Schiff. Many others. How many times can a dog eat his own vomit?

Nothing in history moves in a linear path; more like waves and chaotic currents – prophecy (real Biblical prophecy) often is better understood in the rear view mirror, and some of it has been astonishingly correct (Daniel) and continues to be (Israel.)

Who could have predicted President Trump? And yet, there were those who did, years before he ran. His chief danger is the same as Nebuchadnezzar’s: if he takes credit that belongs to G0D, he will have trouble. Look at the words that took Nebuchadnezzar to the fields!

So the opposition, in a sense, saved and continues to save Donald J. Trump, President of the United States: his focus on being unfairly targeted, while entirely true, has kept him from taking credit for everything good. He is learning: he is learning to give credit to G0D, to give credit to others, and to deflect credit on certain occasions. As a Christian, he is growing.

And yet, he still deserves a tremendous amount of credit: there is no one on earth who could do what he has done and is doing. Not one. And he couldn’t have done these things without G0D, because G0D has enabled him, and he is the only one – for instance – who has kept his promise to Israel on the recognition of Jerusalem. Not one of the others did, even though they all promised.

And one of the things that he does best? He keeps his promises. That is a thing the LORD honors.

I don’t think USA is ready for perpetual impeachment. It’s a bit like the boy who cried wolf.
Though it may be tiring, it’s really just continued harassment and it is meant to keep the people pissed off on both sides of the argument.
There should be retribution for new impeachment’s every 90 days till election and afterwards.
    A breaking point will ensue.
The propaganda television news deliberately exacerbate the news in the worse way while the legal system seems to be for the peasants yet not applicable to politicians .

    1. Pilot Dave - December 17, 2019

perpetual impeachment. = “Show me the man, I’ll show you a crime” – Lavrentiy Beria, Stalin’s head of Secret Police.

  8. Linda Severin - December 16, 2019

Fight back! Do your part locally. Help your Republican Congressional candidate, SHARE the truth online, canvass your neighborhood, start conversations at the workplace. We’ll lose if we don’t get busy.

  9. Nabi Rasch - December 16, 2019

They are getting to be so tiresome.

  10. George Washington - December 16, 2019

Our 2nd Amendment gives We The People the right to arrest these criminal Traitors and their is not a damn thing that they can do about it. They are attempting a take over of our government
, we have the right to use ANY means necessary including fire arms to citizens arrest them as enemy combatants, as well as any single idiotic secret service that attempts to protect the criminals..

  11. Gregg - December 16, 2019

Political insanity. The Dems have truly LOST IT! Never have I’ve seen such tone deaf politicians! Spoiled brats, ALL of them!

And we, Rush, Hannity, Carlson, Ingraham, Levin et al should ignore any and all talk of impeachment after this senate trial. We should only talk about all the good that is happening in America with Trump as president and talk extensively about the Dem Primaries and Trump’s potential opposition and the frauds they are. No more free rides for the Dem Candidates who are benefiting form all the oxygen being taken out of the political news by this bogus impeachment and the talk of future impeachments. Do what Trump is doing, ignore (or at least compartmentalize) it, and carrying on for the good of all Americans.

All GOP Representatives should just walk away and boycott all future congressional impeachment efforts and only return when the Dems work on actually governing and passing a true budget, real laws, and approving trade deals.

Bring it on Dems! Keep CRYING WOLF, WOLf ,WOlf, Wolf, wolf, wol, wo, w, and you will have 150 or fewer Democratic Representatives in the next congress.

    VIVA LA TRUMP! MAGA/KAG!

You are right Jimmy, No one, certainly no GOP politician could have done this. Trump has driven the Dems absolutely insane!

Oh, what a happy day next November will be when Trump wins in a landslide and the DEMS are checked out of DC by the voters!

  12. Ivan - December 16, 2019

Remember one thing – this is all a smokescreen, designed to keep everyone from looking at the truth of all the transgressions the Democrats have made in the past few years. That includes those done in the name of Hillary Clinton leading up to the 2016 election. (BTW – Hillary Clinton = Gregg Stillson).

These actions would have been done against ANY Republican that could have been voted into office. That is was Trump just made it easier for them.

The Democrats currently in power are genuinely corrupt and evil. All of them responsible need to be brought to justice.

  13. nobodyspecial1958 - December 17, 2019

The solution to continual impeachment is to target the graft of specific problem congressmen. Pelosi and her husband are both vulnerable. Keep them busy defending themselves. Just need someone with the nerve to do it.

  14. Pete - December 17, 2019

    David
Make the case please for the trial to be used to further expose the Deep State: First witness is “whistleblower” then his connection to Brennan, then get Brennan under oath and it all further unravels and blows up on them…….

  15. Jerry Davis - December 17, 2019

Pardon my language, but god damn the democrats.

    1. Jimmy MacAfee - December 17, 2019

I pray that the Jesus/Yeshua will drive the demons out of Washington DC, out of every man woman and child; out of every politician who holds power and who performs evil; out of every billionaire who spends money performing and perpetuating evil; out of George Soros and his minions; out of all the nations where evil is the rule of the day and runs amok; out of the homosexualized and apostate Pope: I pray for a worldwide revival of the Holy Spirit, that Muslims and Jews will recognize Jesus/Yeshua as the Promised One, the Annointed One, the Messiah, I pray that the press will lay down their arms (pens, computers) and repent of their evil; I pray that the intelligence groups around the world, all of them, will lose their ability to lie and deceive; I pray that the militaries of all nations will seek peace instead of weapons testing on live human beings; I pray that Jesus/Yeshua will delay His return until these things come to pass, because when He comes, in power and glory, punishment will be the Day of the LORD.

In Jesus’/Yeshua’s Name I pray this,
      amen

  16. Mostly Harmless - December 17, 2019

What a coincidence: I ALSO have a “permanent impeachment plan”.

    1. Jimmy MacAfee - December 17, 2019

For whom, and by what means? Be careful with careless rhetoric. Hyperbole, satire, sarcasm and Ezekiel-like language is ok, and so are predictions – but be careful not to write something on a clearly watched and monitored site.

Not that Dave has been bought. Not at all. But there was one site – Ulsterman Report – where the author turned the site over to “others.” I remember the day that was distinctly evident. Ulsterman sold his novel, and the Deep State began to run his site, which died soon after. It was a hugely damaging site to Bark-arack al-Bama and Valerie Jarrett (the Bat Faced One.) Her picture looked exactly like a hairy legged vampire bat, diphylla ecaudata,
and since then all her search pictures are sanitized and she looks less…batlike. But she still does have clubby, wrinkly hands that only an obese human version of a vampire bat could possess.

The real danger here is of course is Republicans repeatedly saying they will win by a landslide. In fact the Republicans could decimate the Dems to near nothing for decades if they wanted to. BUT, because Republicans are constantly broadcasting their landslide win in the next election, this will actual;y hurt badly what they could really do. How?? Because people will become complacent and stay home. They don;t need my vote… Its cold… its rainy… whatever the excise doesn’t matter because the Repubs are going to win by landslide so I don’t need to go vote… Complacency folks, will keep the Dems alive. Thats what Dems are hoping for…

  18. Gregg - December 17, 2019

Pox on any complacent Republican/Conservative/Independent or “Walk Away” disenfranchised Democrat, who does not take this opportunity to beat every Democrat they can after all the BS the Dems have rammed down our throat since Nancy (Klink) first took over the house in 2006. If you don’t vote against the Dems now you never will and if you don’t vote this year, you should never comment or complain ever again anywhere!

Complacency is for feckless, gutless wonders and losers. There have been too many close races since 2000 Bush v. Gore to ever think somehow that your vote doesn’t count or matter.

I remember telling my Trump supporting friends here in TN to vote for Trump even though he was going to win TN in a landslide and they said their vote wouldn’t matter. I said no! Trump needs to win the popular vote to ensure he can claim a mandate. I feared Trump might win the Electoral College, which he did, and he might lose the popular vote which he did, which would, and did, create a call against the Electoral College and the left would shout long and loud that Trump is not a “legitimate” president like they did against Bush when he lost the popular vote in 2000.
