Trump Campaign Banishes Bloomberg News – But Why Not CNN?

Today’s Campaign Update
(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

[Note: Today’s Campaign Update will be on a delayed morning schedule from November 30 through  December 4.]

Good move. Now do CNN and the New York Times and the Washington Post and… – Trump Campaign Chairman Brad Parscale announced on Monday that the campaign would no longer be offering press credentials to anyone representing Bloomberg News. That inevitable move – labeled as “surprising” by many corrupt media outlets – comes after an internal memo written by Bloomberg News editor-in-chief John Micklethwait announced that the outlet would continue its “tradition of not investigating Mike (and his family and foundation) and we will extend the same policy to his rivals in the Democratic primaries.”

So, Bloomberg News desperately wants to be considered a “news” outlet, yet its own Editor-in-Chief proudly boasts to his staff that it is in fact a campaign tool for its owner and his opponents in the Democrat presidential primary. In other words, Bloomberg is just another CNN, NYTimes, WaPo, MSNBC and on and on and on. The sad part of that is that Bloomberg actually does a fine job of business reporting, and if it had just stuck to that mission, this reputational black eye would have never come about.

The only really “surprising” thing about this move is that the Trump Campaign’s action hasn’t been followed – or frankly, led – by a similar action being taken by the White House press team. Why should a self-admitted propaganda outlet for a Democrat Party that has changed its mission from governing  to attempting a never-ending coup d’etat effort be allowed on the grounds of the White House? It makes no sense, just as it makes no sense that Jim Acosta still holds a press pass and John Brennan still maintains his security clearance. You might as well be wheeling a Trojan Horse through the White House gates.

Here is the text of Parscale’s press release announcing the campaign’s decision:

The decision by Bloomberg News to formalize preferential reporting policies is troubling and wrong.

Bloomberg News has declared that they won’t investigate their boss or his Democrat competitors, many of whom are current holders of high office, but will continue critical reporting on President Trump. As President Trump’s campaign, we are accustomed to unfair reporting practices, but most news organizations don’t announce their biases so publicly. Presented with this new policy from Bloomberg News, our campaign was forced to determine how to proceed.

Since they have declared their bias openly, the Trump Campaign will no longer credential representatives of Bloomberg News for rallies or other campaign events. We will determine whether to engage with individual reporters or answer inquiries from Bloomberg News on a case-by-case basis. This will remain the policy of the Trump campaign until Bloomberg News publicly rescinds its decision.

Here is the key sentence from that release: “As President Trump’s campaign, we are accustomed to unfair reporting practices, but most news organizations don’t announce their biases so publicly.” While it is true that Bloomberg’s internal memo is an especially egregious admission of journalistic bias, the reality is that we have seen similar admissions of toadying to the Democrat daily narrative by CNN, the New York Times and other major outlets.  Sure, the policies haven’t been “formalized,” but how does John Micklethwait differ from multiple leaked memos we’ve seen from Dean Baquet at the Times and Jeff Zucker at CNN?

It’s exactly the same thing.

So yeah, the singling out of Bloomberg for this form of banishment from access to the President’s re-election campaign is a little surprising, but only because similar action wasn’t taken across a broad spectrum of utterly corrupt propaganda outlets.

A pox on all their houses.

That is all.

Today’s news moves at a faster pace than ever. is my go-to source for keeping up with all the latest events in real time.

The Wall Street Journal is essentially the opposite–a great editorial page, but the rest of the paper is a liberal disaster. It’s strange how these dichotomous situations develop–almost as if one part of the journalistic operation is walled off from the others.

Regarding the other White House press passes, I can only assume this is another example of bureaucratic obstruction. Trump cannot, and should not, micromanage every detail. His job is to lead and to delegate, and it is the role of his staff or bureaucrats to carry out the tasks. Since many of these, perhaps most, are either Obama-holdovers or Never-Trumpers, nothing ever changes. Hopefully there will be further progress in the second term.

I’m thinking that this is because President Trump is, as an eternal optimist, leaving the door open for the day the Deep State Mouthpiece (DSM,) also known as “the press”, is freed from whomever controls it, and the Deep State is removed from power.

I’m not doubting President Trump, but the IG report – (according to fake News WAPO) – says that “cause” was there to begin investigation of candidate Trump. If so, might as well throw it in the trash. But that could be more disinformation, or only a sliver of the focus on the report. Who believes the WAPO, anyway?

If anyone was hostile to the press, it was Barack al-Bama, the Islamo-Commie in Chief. The press should be grateful for President Trump, who has not used break-n and spy tactics against people al-Bama conspired against. Namely, Sharyl Attkisson and James Rosen (but not limited to those.)

Hope springs eternal, but reality is often dismal.

It was not the job of Horowitz to determine the validity of the predicate, just the nature of the procedures used.

This is a deep-state spin job fed to the WaPo.

Nothing serious is going to happen until Durham delivers on criminal indictments–that’s when TSWHTF.

Declass of the 4 FISA abuses will show him to be corrupt.

I always preferred the term ‘the leering press’–just perfect, you should go back to that

The availability of real news is in short supply these days. All the more reason for well informed individuals such as yourself to keep telling the truth independently!

“John Brennan still maintains his security clearance…”

I thought Trump took away Brennan’s clearance a couple of years ago amongst much media condemnation, I mean normal MSM “coverage” of everything Trump.

Now you say he still has it?

    1. Jimmy MacAfee - December 4, 2019

The process was too long and convoluted, so they didn’t. It would have involved showing the hand which will put Brennan in jail, and if he’s convicted of anything significant, removing the security clearance will be spotless and alacritous.

      1. Gregg - December 4, 2019

When I left the gov. I no longer “had a need to know” and I surrendered my clearance. That is (or most certainly should be, but I guess some pigs are more equal than others) the rule. There is no justifiable reason for any non-government person to have a clearance and access to our nation’s secrets – especially when so many of these people (communists) should never have had them in the first place!

I still give the president an A, but I was also disappointed when he gave up on the citizen question on the 2020 census; guess that “process was too long and convoluted” too.

I know the president can’t devote all his energy and political capital fighting every single issue when he has a country to run and fix, and apparently he can’t count on very many ” non-partisan public servants” to execute or follow through on his orders, but some of these presidential punts deserve to be fought for.

The President doesn’t need to ban CNN as they are doing a fine job destroying themselves, in fact now they are laughable.

Agree, CNN needs to be exposed and spotlighted daily for all to see.
