Trump to Newsom: We Want Our Rail Boondoggle Money Back!

The Evening Campaign Update
(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

Responding to the action taken on Tuesday by California Governor Gavin Newsom to cancel 2/3rds of Jerry Brown’s high speed rail boondoggle, President Donald Trump (how could anyone ever tire of typing those three glorious words?) issued a tweet at 7:29 CT demanding the federal government’s ill-considered subsidies of the fake green project back:

That’s right: The federal government (in an other president’s administration – you get one guess as to which one) is so absurdly wasteful that it actually looked a this disastrous waste of taxpayer money and said, “hey, we want a piece of that action!”, ultimately coming across with $3.5 billion in subsidies.

Now, the current POTUS wants the money back in his never-ending, singular focus to Make America Great Again.

Somebody go make some popcorn, because this is about to get good…

That is all.

There’s your money for the Wall!
    Way to go, Mr. President!
    Thank you!

I want the money back as well. Jimmy has been commenting about this and he surely wants his share back too. Why should the rest of us be required to throw money down that black hole of red ink. One thing I’ve gotta say and that is that President Trump is the most consequential President of my lifetime in just a few short years. He just may become the best President in the history of our nation, even if he only serves one term. There were calls to put Reagan on Mt Rushmore years ago, however I may have a more worthy candidate in mind. Lets sit back and see what happens in the next few years.
