Tuesday News Roundup: Portland Cops Beg for Help and America’s Great Reset is Coming

Here’s what happens when you defund the police. – We’ve seen examples from communist Democrat-run cities all over the country now. From New York to Los Angeles and from Minneapolis to Seattle, cities whose Democrat leaders have taken action to cut major chunks out of their police force budgets are very predictably seeing massive spikes in violent crimes as a result.

Things are no different in Portland, where the communist-Democrat city council cut $15 million of the police budget during the summer, even as violent riots were plaguing the city’s downtown district and surrounding neighborhoods. That action and the general lack of support for the Portland PD from communist Democrat Mayor Ted Wheeler has led now to a spike in violent crimes and a growing exodus of officers from the Department.

Things have gotten so bad that the Portland PD is now resorting to begging for help from the general community to “break the cycle of violence” in the city.

From a story at DailyWire:

Portland, Oregon, police are begging residents of the city to help “break the cycle of violence” as the number of murders and shootings in the city have skyrocketed.

Portland has been home to violence for months, with an ongoing, nightly demonstration by “anti-fascist” elements, that has often resulted in significant property damage and multiple arrests. But now, the police say, the number of shootings and murders in the city 2020 are nearly double those of 2019, according to Fox News.

“At least 850 shootings have been reported in Portland as of Dec. 24, with 59 reported so far this month, Portland Police Bureau (PPB) statistics show. There were 33 shootings reported in December of last year,” Fox News notes. “As of Christmas Eve, this year’s shootings had surpassed last year’s by more than 116%, with 393 shootings reported in all of 2019, statistics show.”

The numbers have Portland police, who have been the target of one of the most aggressive efforts to defund and disband law enforcement anywhere in the country, pleading with the community to step in and provide support.

[End]

Man, who could have possibly seen any of that coming? Oh, wait…

Obviously, there is nothing about this that is funny other than Ted Wheeler’s personal clueless hipster demeanor. This is real life stuff, and real lives are being snuffed out in Portland and other Democrat cities due to these insane policy decisions. And make no mistake about this: Democrat politicians know the certain impacts of these insane policy choices, but make them anyway out of the insane belief that proper policing is inherently racist.

Put more bluntly, they are knowingly sacrificing the lives of thousands of Americans for purely political reasons. That’s the truth.

Hard question of the day. – Name a single country that taxes its citizens and sends the money to the United States of America.

Go ahead. I’ll wait.

News you will not see on CNN. – Last week, the corrupt news media ignored claims of spousal abuse by the wife of Georgia Democrat Senate nominee Raphael Warnock. This week, the corrupt news media will studiously ignore this story:

From a story at DailyWire:

A man came forward and went on the record on Monday about alleged abuse that he suffered as a 12-year-old while attending a church camp that was overseen by Reverend Raphael Warnock.

Anthony Washington, now 30, told The Washington Free Beacon that counselors allegedly threw urine on him and locked him outside of his cabin, forcing him to sleep outside overnight. Washington told the publication that what allegedly happened to him at Camp Farthest Out resulted in a 2003 lawsuit that he says led to a large financial settlement.

The Free Beacon reported:

Warnock has faced scrutiny over his 2002 arrest for allegedly obstructing a child abuse investigation by Maryland State Police that centered on the camp’s treatment of children. Washington’s account is buttressed by records from the Maryland Department of Health and Mental Hygiene, obtained by the Free Beacon earlier this month, which indicated that campers were routinely left unsupervised; staffers were not subject to required criminal background check; and at least five cases of child abuse or neglect were brought against the camp’s director, who was ultimately forced to resign.

[End]

This is the quality of human being Georgia Democrats want to put in the U.S. Senate. Ugh.

The precursor to China’s “Social Credit System.” – Coming to America soon as part of the World Economic Forum’s Great Reset, which China Joe Potato Head Biden supports: Within the next year, you will find yourself unable to travel via public transportation or attend theaters and other large public gatherings unless you can show proof that you have been vaccinated for COVID-19.

Whenever anyone would predict this barely 9 months ago, corrupt mainstream news reporters and talking heads would call them “alarmists” and “conspiracy theorists.” Yesterday, the corrupt hacks at CNN published a story about the coming new requirement that lays it all out as if it’s all just the most normal thing in the world.

Here’s an excerpt from that story, headlined…

If you want to travel next year, you may need a vaccine passport

San Francisco (CNN Business)Now that coronavirus vaccines are starting to roll out in the US and abroad, many people may be dreaming of the day when they can travel, shop and go to the movies again. But in order to do those activities, you may eventually need something in addition to the vaccine: a vaccine passport application.

Several companies and technology groups have begun developing smartphone apps or systems for individuals to upload details of their Covid-19 tests and vaccinations, creating digital credentials that could be shown in order to enter concert venues, stadiums, movie theaters, offices, or even countries.
The Common Trust Network, an initiative by Geneva-based nonprofit The Commons Project and the World Economic Forum, has partnered with several airlines including Cathay Pacific, JetBlue, Lufthansa, Swiss Airlines, United Airlines and Virgin Atlantic, as well as hundreds of health systems across the United States and the government of Aruba.
The CommonPass app created by the group allows users to upload medical data such as a Covid-19 test result or, eventually, a proof of vaccination by a hospital or medical professional, generating a health certificate or pass in the form of a QR code that can be shown to authorities without revealing sensitive information. For travel, the app lists health pass requirements at the points of departure and arrival based on your itinerary.
“You can be tested every time you cross a border. You cannot be vaccinated every time you cross a border,” Thomas Crampton, chief marketing and communications officer for The Commons Project, told CNN Business. He stressed the need for a simple and easily transferable set of credentials, or a “digital yellow card,” referring to the paper document generally issued as proof of vaccination.

[End]

Hey, CNN, who’s the “conspiracy theorist” now?

As I have said for 9 months now, every restriction on our daily lives, every mandate a state, federal or local politician, every pronouncement from the little menace Anthony Fauci has been designed to normalize enhanced government control of our daily lives. None of these things has anything to do with controlling the virus; none of them are based on anything resembling “science” or “data.”

It’s all about government control.

Think about it this way: If any of these restrictions were about a science-based or data-supported effort to control the virus, why is it that the state with the most strenuous restrictions – California – is suffering the most severe outbreak? Why is it that the state with the least strenuous restrictions – South Dakota – is experiencing the least severe outbreak?

This is all about government control, and if China Joe Potato Head is installed in the presidency, our freedoms could be irrevocably lost.

PSA: If you clear your sidewalk of snow in your bathrobe, using a flamethrower while drinking a beer and smoking a cigar, you might be a redneck.

That is all.

Georgia’s Corrupt Elections System Little Changed for Runoffs

How rigged is the system in Georgia? – So rigged that state judges rule that it is illegal for election officials to purge out-of-state voters from the voter rolls. Check out this story:

From the story at Politico:

A federal judge in Georgia on Monday ordered two counties to reverse a decision removing more than 4,000 voters from the rolls ahead of the Jan. 5 runoff elections that will decide control of the U.S. Senate.

The judge, Leslie Abrams Gardner — the sister of former gubernatorial candidate Stacey Abrams, a prominent ally of President-elect Joe Biden who has led voter registration efforts across the state — concluded that the counties appeared to have improperly relied on unverified change-of-address data to invalidate registrations in the two counties.

The bulk of the registrations that the counties sought to rescind, more than 4,000, were in Muscogee County, which Biden won handily in November. An additional 150 were from Ben Hill County, which Trump won by a wide margin.

The suit, brought by national Democratic Party attorney Marc Elias’ group Democracy Forward, followed an effort to challenge the lengthy roster of voters simply because their registrations appeared to match U.S. Postal Service change-of address records.

[End]

Get that? When it is delivering hundreds of thousands of mail-in ballots that no one requested and that are to be used by Democrats for massive voter fraud, the Postal Service is good. When its data is used to clean up voter rolls – as it has been for two centuries now – the Postal Service is bad.

And good Lord, Stacey Abrams has a sister who is a judge.

VERIFY: Did Stacey Abrams' sister preside over her federal ...

You just could never make this stuff up.

But Democrats are not the only problem in Georgia’s voting system, or even the biggest problem. That designation must go to Governor Brian Kemp, who, while serving as Sec. of State, executed his state’s deal with Dominion Systems to use their rigged voting hardware and software, and current Sec. of State Brad Raffensperger, whose office willingly and with obvious malice aforethought enabled the massive fraud that took place in their state.

In an interview with Newsmax yesterday, Dick Morris did a great job of succinctly summing up how Raffensperger helped Stacey Abrams and her fellow Dems pull off the scam:

“Raffensperger refused to allow double-verification for signatures on absentee and mail-in ballots and required one only, even though it is expressly required by Georgia state law to have two,” Morris said. “Raffensperger refused to invalidate ballots that were not signed on the outside outer envelope, or ballots where the outer envelopes were destroyed. Which means you have a ballot voting for Biden, but you have no idea who cast it, and whether he’s [or she’s] eligible.”

“He refused to give the Republican Party, as statutorily required within a reasonable time, a list of the people who voted so they could see who died and who moved away and challenge the results,” Morris said. “He allowed the election inspectors and watchers to throw Republicans out during the balloting process or to confined them to what they call the ‘coral’ in the distant part of the room where they couldn’t see the paper ballots or the verification.

“These are serious problems.”

[End]

You think?

Now, here’s the thing to understand about the twin senate runoff elections that are about to happen in this bipartisanly corrupt state next Tuesday:  With one small exception designed to count the fraud faster, the exact same voting procedures deployed during the general election are still in place and the same Dominion machines and software are still being used.

What’s the one exception? Vote “counters” will be required to start counting the early votes – more than 1.4 million have already been “cast” – no later than December 30, rather than waiting until Election Night, according to a report at JustTheNews.com:

Counties in Georgia will be allowed to begin tallying absentee and mail-in ballots prior to the Jan. 5 Senate runoff elections, according to a spokesperson from the Georgia Secretary of State’s office. This policy reflects a change from the controversial Nov. 3 election process.

Counties will be permitted to begin their ballot count two weeks ahead of the election, and will be required to start their count by Dec. 30. The goal of the policy is faster election results on Jan. 5. In November, the Georgia vote took days to tally before the state was prepared to announce unofficial results.

[End]

Other than that, nothing has changed despite the tons of proof of pervasive fraud in the system.

And it’s all being run – at least publicly – by people who call themselves Republicans.

Despicable.

That is all.

Monday News Roundup: The FBI Sets its Lone Wolf Narrative and the New York Post Turns on Trump

All this WINNING may have finally run its course. – President Donald Trump surrendered on the horrific, 5,600 page omnibus spending bill Sunday evening. I cover that story, and its larger implications, in full in a separate piece this morning.

Little Lindsey’s all excited, though. – South Carolina Senator Lindsey Graham, who no doubt counseled the President to wave the white flag, was all aglow with the outcome:

Oh, they’re going to “vote” on additional stimulus checks and repeal of Section 230. Guess which one will be approved and which one will miserably fail?

This is the best of all worlds for a McCain-style senate RINO: You get to bust the budget yet again and brag to constituents about how much money you got for them and do it all with the seal of approval from a president of your own party. As a bonus, you then get to vote “yes” on Section 230 repeal, knowing all the while that it has literally no chance of passage in either house of congress.

This is the stuff Little Lindsey dreams of.

Et tu, New York Post? – The editorial board at the New York Post has seen enough of the Trump election challenges, and published an editorial piece on Sunday urging the President to give up the ghost and focus on helping the two GOP senatorial candidates in Georgia win their runoff races.

Here’s an excerpt from that editorial:

You had every right to investigate the election. But let’s be clear: Those efforts have found nothing. To take just two examples: Your campaign paid $3 million for a recount in two Wisconsin counties, and you lost by 87 more votes. Georgia did two recounts of the state, each time affirming Biden’s win. These ballots were counted by hand, which alone debunks the claims of a Venezuelan vote-manipulating Kraken conspiracy.

Sidney Powell is a crazy person. Michael Flynn suggesting martial law is tantamount to treason. It is shameful.

We understand, Mr. President, that you’re angry that you lost. But to continue down this road is ruinous. We offer this as a newspaper that endorsed you, that supported you: If you want to cement your influence, even set the stage for a future return, you must channel your fury into something more productive.

Stop thinking about Jan. 6. Start thinking about Jan. 5.

[End]

This editorial from a rare media outlet that has been supportive of his presidency may have impacted President Trump’s thinking on the spending bill. Given that Mr. Trump had obviously chosen to fight over this bill as a symbol of his larger fight to reverse the clearly fraudulent results of this stolen election, his decision to surrender here likely has larger implications related to that overall effort.

If you haven’t already done so, you’d all be well-advised to begin preparing for four years of Biden and Harris.

Just to lighten the mood… – I thought this was funny, and wish it was real:

Back to reality, here is was the LAPD was doing on Sunday:

That’s right: Dozens of officers who have recently seen Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti lead the charge to defund their department to the tune of $150 million were called out to defend the despicable communist Democrat Mayor’s home from protesters.

You just could never in a million years make Democrats up if they didn’t already exist.

It’s a lone wolf! Who could’ve ever guessed? –  Welp, the FBI narrative on the Nashville bombing is set, and it’s the same narrative the FBI always uses in these situations: That of the “lone wolf.” Because of course it is.

The FBI announced on Sunday that, a mere 40 hours or so after the Christmas morning bombing of downtown Nashville, it has already identified the specific RV that blew up, raided the home of its owner, found body parts at the scene from which it obtained DNA, and already processed the DNA to prove it is that of the RV owner, one Anthony Quinn Warner, a 63 year-old local. Thus, we see the very same FBI that has sat on Anthony Weiner’s laptop for more than four years now, and on Hunter Biden’s for over a year without doing a damn thing with it, supposedly “solving” a major bombing of the downtown area of one of America’s great cities in the blink of an eye. And they do it all by pushing the exact same “lone wolf” narrative they have rolled out to the public related to every domestic terrorism attack in this century.

From a story at ABC News:

FBI investigators said DNA evidence found at the scene matched Anthony Quinn Warner, who was earlier named as a person of interest.

“Anthony Warner is the man believed to be responsible for this horrible crime,” Metropolitan Nashville Police Chief John Drake said at a news conference.

Human remains were discovered amid the blast debris, and investigators worked to determine if they belonged to the RV owner. Multiple law enforcement sources briefed on the investigation told ABC News the suspect was identified as Warner of Antioch, Tennessee, a suburb of Nashville.

Douglas Korneski, the special agent in charge of the FBI’s Memphis field office, told reporters that investigators were able to make the match quickly after they obtained DNA from Warner’s home.

Korneski said there appears to be no other suspect involved with the bombing, but the investigation is ongoing.

Authorities believe the RV was parked in front of an AT&T transmission building at 1:22 a.m. on Friday, but it remains unclear if the building was targeted. The Tennessee Highway Patrol confirmed the RV’s VIN was registered to Warner.

[End]

It is truly stunning how stupid they think we all are. Given that the American public has been lapping this crap up for two solid decades now and going right back to sleep, they’re probably right.

That is all.

Sunday News Roundup: Poland Tames Social Media Giants and China Joe Plans Regulate us all to Death

Lack of Self-Awareness Story of the Year! – This award must go to elephantine former New Jersey Governor Chris Christie, who said this week that he is “leaving the door open” for a presidential run in 2024:

From the story at Newsmax:

Former New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie says he isn’t ruling out making another run for president in 2024.

I’ll make my own decision without regard to anybody else who’s running. Whether it’s the president or anybody else,” Christie told The Daily Caller.

Christie ran unsuccessfully for the Republican presidential nomination in 2016, but later endorsed Donald Trump.

On Monday, Christie also spoke of 2024 during an interview with radio host Hugh Hewitt. He was asked if he would rule out a run for the White House if Trump decided to run.

“I would not. No,” Christie said. “I would not rule it out, Hugh.”

[End]

Seriously, I am laughing out loud here.

Christie, who ran a disastrously-failed presidential campaign in 2016, has gone out of his way to disassociate himself from the Trump base of support over the past year. The problem there is that he apparently doesn’t understand that Trump’s support base makes up probably over 80% of the base of support for the entire Republican Party.

So, unless he’s planning on running as a Democrat or the latest sacrificial lamb put up by the Libertarian Party, any real presidential ambitions Christie still had after 2016 ran aground like a beached whale long ago, but he’s apparently too clueless to realize it.

Want to tame the social media giants? Let Poland show you how. – Twitter, Facebook and Google all played huge roles in the past two elections, helping the mainstream media brainwash millions of Americans into voting for Democrats, mainly through massive efforts to censor conservative thought and speech. The U.S. federal government is too paralyzed and – let’s be honest here – paid off by the social media giants to do anything about it, but not the government in Poland, which recently served as a role model of any free nation by taking dramatic action to stop the censorship.

From a story at Newsbusters:

Justice Minister Zbigniew Ziobro of Poland “announced a legal initiative on Thursday [Dec. 10] aimed at enabling internet users to file complaints against the removal of online posts as well as the creation of a special court for freedom of speech,” according to Poland In.

“Under its provisions, social media services will not be allowed to remove content or block accounts if the content on them does not break Polish law. In the event of removal or blockage, a complaint can be sent to the platform, which will have 24 hours to consider it. Within 48 hours of the decision, the user will be able to file a petition to the court for the return of access. The court will consider complaints within seven days of receipt and the entire process is to be electronic,” Poland In reported.

Not only will users be able to sue Big Tech companies in some instances, but there will reportedly be consequences for Big Tech companies if they do not comply with Poland’s law. “If a special court rules in favour of the plaintiff and the internet service does not obey the ruling it can subject the internet service to a fine of up to PLN 8 million (EUR 1.8 million) imposed by the Office of Electronic Communications,” reported Poland In.

[End]

Congress is too utterly corrupt as an institution to ever be able to take decisive action such as this, so Americans who still value freedom of speech and thought supposedly guaranteed by the Constitution will have to devise other ways of dealing with the issue. Either that, or perhaps move to Poland.

All the ICU’s are overrun! Doctors and nurses don’t have time to event think or take a coffee break due to all the COVID-19 patients! It’s a national emergencyyyyyyyy!!!!! It’s … huh? Oh, um, nevermind:

You could never make this crap up, folks.

Get ready for $5 gasoline and a doubling of your utility bills. – The corrupt news media won’t be honest with you about this, but China Joe Potato Head Biden is quickly assembling a team of advisors who are going to regulate every aspect of your daily lives and massively increase the cost of energy use over the next four years. They will justify it all using the dogma of the Global Church of Climate Change.

From a story at The Hill:

Biden has already drawn in experts with deep government and regulatory backgrounds to head some of his agencies. Many of those who will serve in his White House or broader administration have worked in multiple previous administrations.

They include Gina McCarthy, a former Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) administrator responsible for a number of Obama-era rules, who will serve as a domestic climate czar tapped to oversee the numerous departments that will play a hand in addressing Trump’s numerous environmental rollbacks.

There’s also Xavier Becerra, who as California’s attorney general led the fight against Trump’s rollbacks to ObamaCare and if confirmed will head the Department of Health and Human Services.

Michael Regan, Biden’s pick to helm the Environmental Protection Agency, has served as the top environmental regulator for the state of North Carolina for four years and also worked at EPA on its air quality program under Presidents Clinton and George W. Bush.

Democrats are pushing Biden to waste no time in beginning a regulatory process that can take years.

“The regulatory agenda is going to be critical — and that has to be an agenda that is aggressive and swift enough to meet the moment,” said Amit Narang, a regulatory policy advocate with Public Citizen, a left-leaning advocacy group.

“In the beginning that’s going to be mostly about dealing with the last-minute Trump actions and seeing how much of that can be blocked right up front at the beginning of the administration,” he said. “The rollbacks that have been on the books longer will take longer to undo, so time is going to be of the essence.

[End]

Here’s a key thing to understand about this coming massive push to further subsidize wind and solar: It serves Biden’s desire to make the U.S. increasingly dependent on and subservient to China. Wind and Solar rely heavily on the use of rare earth minerals that are mainly sourced from China. All those cute solar panels and most of the enormous windmills are manufactured in China. All those promises made by Democrats of millions of “green jobs” coming to America are abject BS – the vast majority of renewables-related jobs are in China and will remain there.

That’s what’s coming in a Biden/Harris administration, mainly because the entire Democrat Party – and many Republican members of congress – is a wholly-owned subsidiary of China.

Have a great day.

That is all.

It’s Carnage Out There for Fox News

It’s carnage out there for Fox News. – Since the moment Fox News decided to issue a premature call of Arizona for China Joe Potato Head Biden on Election Night, the cable news channel has seen its ratings take a massive slide. As Daily Wire reports, “Between the dates of November 2nd and November 11th, viewership dropped by 40% for Neil Cavuto, 40% for Bret Baier — who hosted one of the presidential debates between Trump and Biden — 40% for Martha MacCallum, 36% for Laura Ingraham, 33% for Sean Hannity, and 29% for Tucker Carlson.”

Yes, Fox remains the #1-ranked cable news channel, but that’s only because CNN and MSNBC have voluntarily discarded most of their own audiences over the past decade in order to promote the political agenda of the radical left, i.e., the Democrat Party. And let’s face it: When your flagship hard evening news report hosted by Bret Baier bleeds 40% of its viewership in a little over a week, and your  biggest prime time star is down by almost 30%, you have a problem.

It’s a problem that has many of the remaining hands at Fox worried, according to former anchor of “The Five” Eric Bolling. Bolling told Daily Wire that his conversations with his friends at Fox convinces him that there is a great deal of fear haunting the fake news channel’s halls these days:

“Here’s what happened guys, let’s be honest with you… on November 3rd — Fox declared Biden the winner in Arizona. MAGA-world went ballistic, they said ‘I’m not watching Fox News,’ they switched over and they looked and they found Newsmax,” Bolling said.

Bolling then sparked rapturous applause among the TPUSA event attendees when he said that “Fox lost about 40% of their audience. 40%. That’s a big number.” In recent weeks, Fox has disputed such claims, pointing out that while some programs have dropped a third of their viewers since election night, they still still atop the cable news ratings.

“I have friends still there that say they are very, very nervous about it, they’re sucking wind on it and they don’t know how to turn it around.”

[End]

The truth about Fox is that they did it to themselves. I personally think the channel’s inevitable decline started with the decision to bring Paul Ryan onto its board of directors. The inevitable anti-Trump tilt he has brought to the operation is palpable, especially in Fox’s daytime programming. In the midst of its record ratings of the past five years, Fox’s management lost sight of what was driving those ratings.

The hiring of old Clinton hack Donna Brazile – who got caught feeding Hillary Clinton debate questions during the 2016 campaign – as a paid contributor in 2019 – a decision no doubt driven and approved by Ryan – only served to exacerbate the situation and ensure the channel’s inevitable decline. During 2020, Neil Cavuto and other daytime hosts embarked on a decidedly leftward tilt to the conduct of their shows, and the previously stellar “The Five” became increasingly unwatchable due to the radicalization of Juan Williams. Top that all off with Chris Wallace’s doing a tag team on President Trump with Joe Biden as he “moderated” the first presidential debate, and you have the makings of a mass audience exodus.

Trump supporters had been looking for the first excuse to jump ship over to OANN or Newsmax, and the absurdly premature call of Arizona on Election Night – a call made while some Arizonans still stood in lines waiting to vote – triggered the exodus. And now, Bolling’s friends at the network are all worried about their future and have no idea how to fix the problem.

Well, it’s a problem that can’t be fixed. That’s the deal: Fox News management intentionally and with malice aforethought made a series of programming decisions that were consciously designed to divorce the channel from the Trump support base. That is reality and it is obvious to anyone paying any attention at all.

That divorce is now final and there will be no reconciliation – this is not some Hallmark holiday movie with a happy ending.

That is all.

Saturday News Roundup: Joe Biden Understands That Pork is What Makes Congress’s World Go Round

Man, that’s a damn odd side effect, doc. – Watch out for that Moderna vaccine, folks. Turns out it does weird stuff to your eyes, according to Dr. Qanta Ahmed, who appeared on Fox & Friends Saturday morning:

Ok, that’s a joke. Everyone get it? Don’t send me any nasty emails like some of you did in response to that bit of satire I posted about Nakatomi Plaza on Christmas eve. Thanks.

I’m just waiting for the FBI to tell me what happened so I can know for certain sure what didn’t happen. – That’s honestly how I feel about the FBI “investigation” into the bombing in Nashville that took place on Christmas morning. Whatever the FBI tells us, we can be pretty much 100% certain that it is not correct. Whether it’s just out of gross incompetence or outright lying, we can all rest assured that the FBI under Christopher Wray will put out a narrative about the bombing that will be false. Because that’s what the FBI does in the 21st Century – it is the Bureau’s true core competency.

Nashville PD sent out this tweet late Friday Night identifying what they believe is the vehicle that exploded:

It looks like about a 30-year-old RV, which means this could all be the plot of some network TV show gone terribly wrong. [Seriously, you can always predict which car on a network TV show is going to be wrecked, run off of a bridge or exploded simply because it is always the only car shown on that particular episode that is more than 15 years-old. The networks do not blow up or wreck brand new automobiles because they’re too expensive. However, they do wreck or blow up brand new cars on cable or Netflix. It’s a rule or something.]

Ok, no, obviously this is a serious deal and it’s just a damn shame our country no longer possesses a serious and competent federal law enforcement agency to investigate what was clearly a terrorist attack of some sort anymore. What we will get instead is some narrative written on the 7th floor of the J. Edgar Hoover Building and fed to the hundreds of FBI/Intel Community plants that work in all of the national media outlets once the agency figures out that this attack on one of America’s great cities was committed by some clown or group of clowns that they’ve had under surveillance for several years and did nothing about.

Because that’s what always happens with attacks like this and the FBI-led “investigations” that follow. It’s all butt-covering all the time at your FBI.

This is the only time anyone in congress pays attention to a presidential budget request.  – Democans and Republicrats in congress are out in the corrupt news media claiming – as NY Cong. Peter King did yesterday – that all of the pork requests contained in their $2.4 trillion looting of the U.S. treasury were contained in the presidential budget request.

Yes, friends, that would be the same presidential budget request that basically every member of congress declared to be “dead on arrival” when it was issued back in February or March. But that was then and this is now, and now they want to pretend that a $2.4 trillion package that contains less than $350 billion in actual COVID relief funding is an emergency for the constituents back home, constituents who these very same members of congress helped to put out of work.

San Fran Nan and Chuck Schumer are out there pretending to be trying to accommodate the President’s demand to beef up the amount of one-time payments to certain Americans from $600 to $2000 by proposing legislation that would do only that. They of course ignore President Trump’s demand that all the billions in wasteful spending be cut out of the legislation at the same time.

Because, let’s face it: Pork spending is how members of congress buy favors from foreign governments and domestic corporations. That $150 million that congress approved to spend on “gender studies” in Burma is in that bill because some member or members of congress want to bribe the Burmese government in exchange for some future favor, such as the ability to buy in to some sweet real estate or other business deal at a bargain basement price. That’s why that money is in that bill, not for any altruist reason.

This is how members of congress whose only visible means of making a living is the ~$175,000 annual salary the receive manage to become fabulously wealthy after just a few years in public “service.” It’s how Dianne Feinstein and her husband have managed to become worth upwards of a billion dollars. It’s how San Fran Nan can afford that palatial, walled-un San Francisco estate, and $30k worth of refrigerators. It’s how Harry Reid, who was near-dead-broke when first elected to congress, retired as a hundred millionaire.

Pork spending, and the favors it buys at taxpayer expense, is what makes serving in congress worth doing for most of the people who ended up getting elected to one of those 535 seats.

President Trump doubled down yesterday on his demands to beef up the COVID payments and cut the pork. Anyone who believes congress is going to give up that pork spending doesn’t understand why these people ran for those jobs in the first place. The Democans and Republicrats will gladly just keep trying to shunt blame off onto the current President for the next 25 days and then pass the same set of bills all over again when the next president is installed on January 20.

Because, if that next President is China Joe Potato Head Biden, they know without any doubt at all that those bills will be signed, albeit with a gentleman’s agreement on the understanding that the “Big Guy” gets a cut of the future kickbacks.

Remembering the Great Nakatomi Plaza Raid of 1988

32 years ago, the world watched in horror as events unfolded at Nakatomi Plaza in Los Angeles. A group of German terrorists led by the evil Hans Gruber disrupted the Christmas Party being celebrated by employees of the Nakatomi Corporation, a major logistics and construction firm headquartered in Tokyo, Japan.

Ultimately, it was the heroic efforts of McClane and Los Angeles police Sgt. Al Powell that disrupted the terrorists’ mercenary plot to steal $640 million in negotiable Nakatomi Corp. bearer bonds and retire on a Caribbean beach while earning 20%. Gruber died when he fell from a 32nd floor window while clutching a gun in one hand and McClane’s watch in another. Another terrorist with long, flowing blond hair and the grace of a famous ballet dancer was shot by Powell as he attempted to rush McClane in a crowd that had gathered at the base of the Nakatomi skyscraper. It was the first time Powell had discharged his weapon while on duty since his unfortunate and unintentional killing of a kid several years before. The body of a third terrorist – later identified as the brother of the graceful blonde – was discovered by police on the 35th floor wearing a sweat shirt with the words “ho-ho-ho, now I have a machine gun” scrawled on it in blood.

Robinson for “more FBI guys” went unanswered by the Bureau’s Los Angeles office. Several members of a special Los Angeles Police unit were injured during the incident as they attempted to force their way into the tower via the use of an armored vehicle which the terrorists stopped with a huge flame-thrower that they had anchored to the 2nd floor amid shouts of “schnell! schnell!.”

In an amusing incident during the capture of the remaining members of the terrorist crew, KFLW-TV news anchor Richard Thornburg was punched out by McClane’s wife, Nakatomi Director of Corporate Development Holly Gennero, as the world watched live on television. No explanation was given for Ms. Gennero’s action, as she and her husband climbed into a mysterious black limousine driven by a man McClane was heard to call “Argyle” and taken away to safety.

In later years, McClane went onto become entangled in a series of subsequent terrorist plots even though he always seemed to just be minding his own business. It just seemed as if trouble followed him around throughout the rest of his life. McClane is now semi-retired and living in parts unknown. Sgt. Powell passed away earlier this year after enjoying a late night snack of Hostess Twinkies and milk.

As the years have rolled on since the terrorist plot was defeated, debate has raged among those who don’t have enough to worry about regarding whether or not the tale of the famous Nakatomi Raid of 1988 is a Christmas tale or not (it obviously is one of the greatest Christmas tales of all-time). Polls taken on the matter regularly show an almost even-split among respondents on the odd question, a result that shows no regard for race, religion or political party affiliation.

Suffice it to say that, 32 years later, the legend of the Nakatomi Raid of 1988 lives on in the hearts and minds of enthusiasts all over the globe.

Thursday News Roundup: Trump Pardons Stone and Manafort, Fauci Admits He’s Been Lying

More Trump pardons. – 26 more altogether were issued last night as the President now appears to be winding his administration down despite all of his public messaging about the theft of the presidency by the Democrats and corrupt Republicans in coordination with Dominion Systems. In addition to the 26 pardons, the President issued commutations to three more individuals.

Included in last night’s pardons are Roger Stone and Paul Manafort, two Trump loyalists whose rights were heinously abused by the Mueller Gestapo as a part of the slow-rolling coup d’etat that held the country hostage for 20 long months. The full list of the beneficiaries of these pardons and commutations can be found at this link.

Naturally, the Trump-hating corrupt news media is going berserk this morning over the pardons of Manafort and Stone. Cool.

Eric Trump tweeted this out last night – it seems especially appropriate here:

Image

Here are two suggestions for the President’s next pardons: Julian Assange and Edward Snowden.

Do it, Mr. President. Just do it.

Sassy Ben weighs in. – Sassy Ben Sasse let it be known he does not approve of these pardons, oh no, not at all:

Because of course he doesn’t approve. He’s an effete RINO, a terminally annoying clown who follows Mitt Romney around on a leash, apparently.

Imagine what a hissy fit Sassy Ben will toss if and when the President pardons Snowden and Assange. It would be glorious to behold.

Again, do it, Mr. President. Just do it.

Another Trump veto. – President Trump also issued a veto on Wednesday, though not of the $2.4 trillion in Covid/pork spending congress passed on Monday. Those bills remain in limbo at the moment.

The Trump veto yesterday relates to the $740 billion defense spending bill congress passed earlier this month with veto-proof majorities in both houses of congress. At the time of its passage, the President warned congress that he would veto the bill due to the fact that it does not contain repeal of Section 230 of the Communications Decency Act. So, yesterday he followed through on that promise, as he pretty much always does, and corrupt reporters and politicians expressed their shock. Because they’re all either lying scumbags or morons.

Sorry, I know that’s harsh, but it’s the truth.

Speaking of lying liars who lie for a living… – I give you Anthony Fauci. The little menace to American society is in the news again this morning. Check out this tweet from the New York Times:

“Anthony Fauci has been slowly but deliberately moving the goal posts…”

You know what “deliberately moving the goal posts” is a figure of speech for, don’t you? LYING.

Yes, friends, Romans and countrymen, the New York Times, in a laudatory piece celebrating the little menace’s deceitful behavior, freely admits he has been outright lying to the American public for almost a full year now about each and every aspect of this viral plague from China. Fauci admits it, too, because, you see, his lying is all for your own good.

You don’t have to believe me: All you have to do is read the little menace in his own words in this excerpt from the Times story:

In a telephone interview the next day, Dr. Fauci acknowledged that he had slowly but deliberately been moving the goal posts. He is doing so, he said, partly based on new science, and partly on his gut feeling that the country is finally ready to hear what he really thinks.

Hard as it may be to hear, he said, he believes that it may take close to 90 percent immunity to bring the virus to a halt — almost as much as is needed to stop a measles outbreak.

Asked about Dr. Fauci’s conclusions, prominent epidemiologists said that he might be proven right. The early range of 60 to 70 percent was almost undoubtedly too low, they said, and the virus is becoming more transmissible, so it will take greater herd immunity to stop it.

Dr. Fauci said that weeks ago, he had hesitated to publicly raise his estimate because many Americans seemed hesitant about vaccines, which they would need to accept almost universally in order for the country to achieve herd immunity.

Now that some polls are showing that many more Americans are ready, even eager, for vaccines, he said he felt he could deliver the tough message that the return to normal might take longer than anticipated.

“When polls said only about half of all Americans would take a vaccine, I was saying herd immunity would take 70 to 75 percent,” Dr. Fauci said. “Then, when newer surveys said 60 percent or more would take it, I thought, ‘I can nudge this up a bit,’ so I went to 80, 85.

[End]

So, he’s nudging it up a bit based on polls, a clear admission that he’s been lying and waiting on the polls to authorize his next lie, because he really doesn’t know a damn thing about any of this and doesn’t want to admit it in public, since he’s paid millions of dollars a year to actually know stuff.

The little menace is nothing more or less than just another corrupt DC politician, triangulating his message – to borrow a Clinton phrase – to the public based on polls. This is not science; this is tyranny, a tyranny of clueless “experts” that has served as the basis for our nation’s entire insane response to this virus.

It’s the sort of tyranny that leads directly to this kind of lunacy on the cable fake news channels:

It’s as if no one on CNN or MSNBC is capable of noticing the simple, unarguable fact that this latest outbreak of the China virus has taken place as we are all social distancing and wearing masks. These two practices do nothing to stop the spread of this virus – nothing at all. Not a damn thing.

They are no different than what homeland security does at our nation’s airports: Meaningless, ineffective gestures designed to instill public confidence while in fact doing little or nothing to actually make us safer.

IF MASKS WORKED, WE WOULD NOT BE HAVING THE CURRENT OUTBREAK.

Seriously, how hard is this? But 90% of the public just regurgitates the media/Fauci talking points because we have become a nation of pathetic sheep.

There will be no New Roundup on Friday for obvious reasons.

Merry Christmas to you all.

Trump Authorizes DOJ to Use Declassified Russia Info for Grand Jury Investigation

First, let’s acknowledge that today is the final day that worthless William Barr will serve as the Attorney General of the United States. Here is what the slovenly bagpipe aficionado leaves in his wake for the rest of us to deal with:

Image may contain: 1 person, text that says 'BRANCO ©2020 Creators.co Americans or Limited HIPHIP HIP HIP HOORAY HIP HOORAY HIP HIP HIP HOORAY WIFA DEATH TO AMERICA! MEDIA PROJECED ELECT CHINA IRAN'

To the extent China Joe really did “win” the election, much of the blame must be laid at Barr’s fat feet given his and John Durham’s refusal to conduct their work in an expeditious manner. There is no reason other than politics that Durham could not and should not have been making arrests and conducting public perp walks of the Obama-era conspirators who ran a slow-rolling coup d’etat on U.S. soil from 2017 through early 2019 throughout this entire year.

Had that taken place, giving the American public some sense of the extent of the contemptible actions of Obama officals and Robert Mueller’s American Gestapo operation, not even Dominion Systems machines would have been able to manufacture enough votes to get China Joe Potato Head over the top.

So, good riddance, Mr. Barr, and don’t let the door hit you in your fat ass on your way out.

Meanwhile, John Solomon is reporting that Durham might actually have a grand jury convened and could be preparing to finally, at long last, start holding some people accountable.

In a report at JustTheNews, Solomon details a memo signed by President Donald Trump on Tuesday that allows Durham and other U.S. Attorneys to use declassified documents during the course of their investigations and before grand juries.

From that report:

Classified information may be utilized in the probe scrutinizing the origins of the FBI investigation related to the 2016 presidential campaign, according to a presidential order from President Trump.

U.S. attorney John Durham, who had been conducting the investigation, was named as a special counsel in the probe in October.

“The Attorney General is currently conducting a review of intelligence activities relating to the campaigns in the 2016 Presidential election and certain related matters,” the memo states. “On May 13, 2019, the Attorney General directed John Durham to conduct that review, which subsequently developed into a criminal investigation. On October 19, 2020, the Attorney General appointed Mr. Durham to conduct that investigation pursuant to the powers and independence afforded by the Special Counsel regulations of the Department of Justice.”

[End]I

In an interview on NewsMax last night, Solomon repeated his oft-stated claim that Durham really, truly is going to actually indict and prosecute people:

People might end up being “satisfied” by Durham’s tardy actions, as Solomon claims, if they actually do come about. But more people would have been even more satisfied had Durham conducted his investigation – assuming there really is one going on – in an expeditious manner that helped educate the voting public throughout 2020.

The fact that he utterly and completely failed to do that is a major reason why America now faces the prospect of being governed by a senile, life-long circus clown and/or his evil designated successor for the next four years.

Meanwhile, despite Solomon’s reporting here, no one should hold their breath waiting for Durham to actually bring anyone to justice. What you should expect instead is for him to do nothing before January 20, and for China Joe Potato Head to summarily fire him hours after taking the oath of office on that day.

Sad, but painfully likely.

That is all.

Video/Transcript: Trump Promises to Veto Covid/Defense Bill

Last night, President Donald Trump (I never tire of typing those three glorious words) released a 4-minute video in which he promised to veto the atrocious, $3.3 trillion spending bill sent over to his desk on Tuesday. Congress has already fled Washington, DC in the hopes the President would ignore its mendacity and betrayal of the American public and just sign the bill under the assumption that he plans to concede the election and allow his presidency to wind down.

The President, as has been his habit for the past four years, has other plans.

Below is a video clip of that speech, followed by a transcript of its text.

Transcript:

Throughout the summer, Democrats cruelly blocked COVID relief legislation in an effort to advance their extreme left wing agenda and influence the election. Then a few months ago, Congress started negotiations on a new package to get urgently needed help to the American people. It’s taken forever. However, the bill they are now planning to send back to my desk is much different than anticipated. It really is a disgrace.

For example, among the more than 5,000 pages in this bill, which nobody in Congress has read because of its length and complexity, it’s called the COVID Relief Bill, but it has almost nothing to do with COVID. This bill contains $85.5 million for assistance to Cambodia, $134 million to Burma, $1.3 billion for Egypt and the Egyptian military, which will go out and buy almost exclusively Russian military equipment. $25 million for democracy and gender programs in Pakistan, $505 million to Belize, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua, and Panama. $40 million for the Kennedy Center in Washington, DC, which is not even open for business. $1 billion for the Smithsonian and an additional $154 million for the National Gallery of Art. Likewise, these facilities are essentially not open.

$7 million for reef fish management, $25 billion to combat Asian carp, $2.5 million to count the number of amberjack fish in the Gulf of Mexico. A provision to promote the breeding of fish in federal hatcheries, $3 million in poultry production technology, $2 million to research the impact of down trees, $566 million for construction projects at the FBI.

The bill also allows stimulus checks for the family members of illegal aliens, allowing them to get up to $1,800 each. This is far more than the Americans are given. Despite all of this wasteful spending and much more, the $900 billion package provides hardworking taxpayers with only $600 each in relief payments and not enough money is given to small businesses. And in particular, restaurants, whose owners have suffered so grievously.

They were only given a deduction for others to use in business, their restaurant, for two years. This two year period must be withdrawn, which will allow the owners to obtain financing and get their restaurants back in condition. Congress can terminate it at a much later date, but two years is not acceptable. It’s not enough.

Congress found plenty of money for foreign countries, lobbyists and special interests while sending the bare minimum to the American people who need it. It wasn’t their fault, it was China’s fault. Not their fault.

I am asking Congress to amend this bill and increase the ridiculously low $600 to $2,000, or $4,000 for a couple. I’m also asking Congress to immediately get rid of the wasteful and unnecessary items from this legislation and to send me a suitable bill or else the next administration will have to deliver a COVID relief package, and maybe that administration will be me, and we will get it done.

Thank you very much.

Tuesday News Roundup: Barr Allowed to ‘Resign’ But Biden Might Not Even Get The Chance

Better late than never. – William Barr was allowed to claim he “resigned” his post as one of the nation’s worst Attorneys General in its history, and will now move on to graze in other swampy pastures, effective December 23. Deputy AG Jeff Rosen will step in to serve as Acting Attorney General:

Here is Barr’s Letter of Resignation:

Image

Image

President Trump’s tweet announcing Barr’s ‘resignation’ came immediately after he, Barr and others had met at the White House to discuss the Department of Justice’s involvement – or maybe its non-involvement – in investigations related to all of the massive election fraud the Democrats perpetrated in the just-completed presidential race. That letter was obviously drafted by the White House Communications staff, and was no doubt waiting for Barr and his signature when he arrived at the White House for that meeting.

William Barr didn’t “resign” at all: He was obviously fired for his refusal to do his damn job. The nonsense about waiting until December 23 and spending more time with his family is the same nonsense language we see used when politicians beset by scandals or corporate executives facing business failure are fired but allowed to resign in order to save face.

Barr was fired because he has lied to the public for many months now about the activities and timetable of John Durham and his apparently fake investigation into Spygate. He was fired because he has known about the Hunter Biden investigation since the day he assumed the office – and likely even before – and has refused to make any effort to correct all of the massive false media reporting about that investigation and claims that it did not even exist. And he was fired because he and his FBI did nothing, not one damn thing, to intervene to stop the stealing of this presidential election before it took place, and has done nothing of substance since the election was held.

The only sad aspect of this episode is that the President didn’t fire Barr months ago and replace him with someone who was interested in actually doing his damn job.

Already setting up his reason for resignation? – China Joe Potato Head Biden read a speech from  a TelePrompter last night, and he did it with a massive, persistent gurgle in his throat. Watch:

Up until the past week or so, I have assumed that Biden’s elder-abusing handlers and the evil minions at the DNC and CIA would allow him to actually be sworn into the presidency and serve for at least a few weeks, perhaps months, before resigning for “medical reasons” and turning the office – and our nation’s future – over to the sock puppet the deep state really prefers, Kamala Harris. But with the sudden, very public revelations about the DOJ/FBI investigation into Hunter Biden and the Biden family’s influence peddling with China, Russia, the Ukraine and other countries, I’ve begun to wonder if they will really allow him to serve in the office for a single day before pulling the plug.

Last night’s persistently croaking bullfrog emitting from Joe Potato Head’s throat sure makes you wonder if they’ll actually allow him to serve a single day, just to make it look good. After all, if the American public is gullible enough to meekly accept the results of this obviously stolen election, why worry about appearances at all?

We don’t know all the implications of this yet, but it sure is interesting. – Software sold by computer software company SolarWinds was identified as a massive security threat this week by the Cybersecurity Infrastructure and Security Agency (CISA). After becoming aware of the threat, CISA issued an emergency directive under U.S. espionage laws for only the fifth time since CISA was created in 2015.

From that emergency directive:

This Emergency Directive calls on all federal civilian agencies to review their networks for indicators of compromise and disconnect or power down SolarWinds Orion products immediately.

“The compromise of SolarWinds’ Orion Network Management Products poses unacceptable risks to the security of federal networks,” said CISA Acting Director Brandon Wales. “Tonight’s directive is intended to mitigate potential compromises within federal civilian networks, and we urge all our partners—in the public and private sectors—to assess their exposure to this compromise and to secure their networks against any exploitation.”

[End]

SolarWinds headquarters in Austin, Texas were apparently raided by federal officials on Monday, and its executives questioned by authorities. Mainstream media reporting indicates the feds were mainly interested in sketchy stock trades those executive engaged in right before the CISA directive was issued, but it is far more likely they were mainly interested in the potential impacts the security breach could have on the federal agencies that also use the software:

The threat apparently came from the same cyberespionage campaign that has afflicted cybersecurity firm FireEye, foreign governments and major corporations, and the FBI was investigating.

The system is used by hundreds of thousands of organizations globally, including most Fortune 500 companies and multiple U.S. federal agencies, which will now be scrambling to patch up their networks.

The attackers planted malware in computer networks after using what FireEye CEO Kevin Mandia called “a novel combination of techniques not witnessed by us or our partners in the past.

[End]

And here’s the other thing: Dominion Systems uses SolarWind software. It says so right on the Dominion website.

Oh. Why do I think there is more – much more – to this story than we are currently being told? Stay tuned.

Say thank you to President Donald Trump on behalf of your 401(k). – Saw this story at CNBC this morning:

Vaccine rollout and economic recovery should push the S&P 500 to 4,300 next year, Oppenheimer says

An economic recovery next year will help fuel a nearly 18% rise in the stock market by the end of 2021, according to new projections from Oppenheimer Asset Management.

The investment firm and its chief investment strategist John Stoltzfus released their outlook for 2021 on Monday, setting a year-end target for the S&P 500 at 4,300.

[End]

Your corrupt, fake news media won’t tell you this, but if any human being other than Donald Trump had occupied the Oval Office when this pandemic hit our shores, you would not have been watching scenes of 18 wheelers carrying millions of doses of Pfizer’s COVID-19 vaccine rolling out of a Michigan plant on Monday. Instead, you’d have been listening to stories about endless delays from the CDC and the FDA in getting the thing through their Byzantine approval process.

It is only thanks to the prescient actions by Donald J. Trump in issuing order after order to those federal bureaucratic monstrosities to speed things up that we have not one, but three different vaccines either already fully approved or about to be fully approved in a record time that no one believed would be possible just a few months ago.

So, if you want to thank someone in government for yesterday’s happy news, you can’t thank your governor, you can’t thank Anthony Fauci, who has fought the President every step of the way, and you damn sure cannot thank a single Democrat on the face of the earth.

Thank Donald Trump, because he’s the guy who made this all happen through the sheer force of his will.

That is all.

BREAKING: Attorney General William Barr Has Resigned

Hot off the ol’ presses: William Barr has resigned his post as one of the nation’s worst Attorneys General in its history, and will now move on to graze in other swampy pastures, effective December 23. Deputy AG Jeff Rosen will step in to serve as Acting Attorney General:

Here is Barr’s Letter of Resignation:

Barr is a sad story of failure for this administration and for this country. Had he been willing to really go after the Deep State seditionists who executed a four-year-long coup d’etat throughout President Trump’s first term in office, he could have gone down as a real American hero. As it is, he will be remembered as just another Deep State functionary.

It should be assumed that, despite the amicable letter of resignation and the President’s flowery-worded tweets, Barr was actually fired today.

Good riddance.

RINO Georgia Sec. State Announces Signature Audit for Cobb County

Brad Raffensperger, the corrupt RINO secretary of state for Georgia – and thus, the state’s chief elections official – announced on Monday that he is ordering a signature audit for Cobb County, home to Marietta, where severe election irregularities occurred during the general election.

Raffensperger, in his efforts to maintain the illusion of actually doing his job, claims that the audit comes in response to a “specific allegation” that Cobb County officials did not properly follow the signature verification requirements for mail-in ballots on and in the days following Election Day.

From a story at the Augusta Chronicle:

Georgia officials will conduct a signature-match audit of absentee ballot envelopes in Cobb County to promote faith in the election system ahead of next month’s U.S. Senate runoff elections, Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger announced on Monday.

The audit comes in response to a “specific allegation” the mail-in signature verification process was not followed properly in Cobb for the Nov. 3 general election, Raffensperger said at a news conference. He did not give details on the allegation.

Re-checking the envelope signatures in Cobb also aims to boost confidence in the integrity of the high-stakes Senate runoffs on Jan. 5 amid fraud claims from President Donald Trump and his allies that have injected doubt into Georgia’s election system, Raffensperger said.

“We stand ready to answer each and every question out there,” Raffensperger said. “Every Georgian should have faith in our elections.”

[End]

Ok, well, if Raffensperger really wants to answer each and every question out there, why is he just now ordering this audit, and why just for a single county, when Raffensperger’s office has been literally inundated not just with complaints, but lawsuits about similar irregularities taking place across the entire state since Election Day?

Why not do it in Fulton County, home to Atlanta, where we were treated to this scene of election officials staying until the wee hours of the morning and pulling cases filled with thousands of mail-in ballots out from under desks:

Raffensperger apparently expects you all to believe that that’s all just fine, not a problem at all.

Then there’s the issue of what exactly the corrupt Sec. State really means when he claims his team will conduct a “signature audit.” After all, he initially claimed that the sham recount he ordered right after Election Day would include both a recanvassing and a signature audit when in reality none of that took place.

And of this is a true signature audit, will it include all of the steps necessary to make it truly meaningful? As Tea Party co-founder Jenny Beth Martin points out, a real signature audit requires no fewer than three steps to be truly valid:

Given Raffensperger’s sorry performance to date, we can be sure that his plan does not include all of those steps, and may well not even include any one of them.

What has taken place in Georgia has been a true national travesty, carried out every step of the way not only by Democrats, but by fake Republicans like Raffensperger and his fellow RINO, Governor Brian Kemp. Despite Raffensperger’s self-serving announcement of this “signature audit,” there is no reason at all to believe that that is what will actually take place.

That is all.

Concede? Surrender? Never.

Guest Piece by Karen Kataline

After the US Supreme Court refused to hear the Texas case citing a “lack of standing,” a few more Republicans are calling for Trump to concede. Some are even people we know and love.

Apart from corrupt Republicans who are part of a larger “deep-state” than we ever could have imagined, there is another group who rely heavily on their vast and past experience in politics. They think of this election as just another pendulum swing and we’ll “get ’em next time.”

They focus on sportsmanship, statesmanship and appearances.  Perhaps noble in other circumstances, it makes no sense on a political chess board that is unlike any this country has ever seen before. Our opponents have crossed the Rubicon and intend to take this country by force. If they succeed, there won’t be a “next time.”  This is for all the marbles.

John Andrews, is a former President of the Colorado Senate and a man I respect very much.  He recently posted a piece entitled, Twilight for Trump: Knowing when to Fold ’em.

Andrews’ calls it a “pleasant and touching little dream” that “for the good of the country and his own place in history” that Trump should “do the right thing” and concede the election.

How could it possibly be good for the country to allow wholesale election fraud to stand, and continue the Left’s destruction of every one of our precious Bill of Rights on their final march to a one-world, socialist/communist government?  They’ve made it clear that they hate America because it has stood in the way of this. Donald Trump has boldly stood in the way of this.

As surely as I’ve ever believed anything, I believe that it is for the supreme good of the country that the truth about corruption, collusion and sedition be revealed to the public wherever it leads. Politicians have been lying about their true intentions for decades. Un-elected bureaucrats have had immense power to which they were not entitled. Those who have engaged in crimes against America and its citizens must be held accountable. Our country cannot and will not survive if they are not.

In some respects, these times are more dire than WWII because we are being attacked from within and by our fellow Americans. This is what our heroic fathers, grandfathers and great-grandfathers gave their lives to protect and preserve. Knowing and fully understanding that is absolutely what is best for the country.

Even after watching Trump for more than four years it is fascinating how many people continue to misread him. He still uses that to his advantage.

The Left continues to smear him as an egomaniac but once again that’s a projection. Sadly,  some conservatives believe it. Trump is not contesting this fraudulent election out of ego. He knows he is the last impediment to their plan to impose communism in America. Think that’s a conspiracy theory?  Look carefully at 2020.

November 3, 2020 was always about more than Donald Trump and he has shown again and again that he knows it. Unfortunately, there are still some well-meaning people who do not.

“This is the lesson: never give in, never give in, never, never, never, never—in nothing, great or small, large or petty—never give in except to convictions of honor and good sense.”

Monday News Roundup: Trump, Flynn and Powell Undeterred by Today’s Electoral College Vote

For those concerned that media reports of President Trump being about ready to give up his fight to overturn the obviously fraudulent election results might be true, the President issued this tweet Sunday morning:

So buckle up – we still have weeks to go.

The President also summarized the reason for the 7-2 decision by the Supreme Court in refusing to hear the Texas lawsuit challenging the clearly illegals voting process changes implemented this year in PA, WI, MI and GA:

Bad for the country, indeed. With that decision and today’s vote by the Electoral College, the wheels of the process for certifying the election grind inexorably forward as the elder-abusing handlers of China Joe Potato Head Biden prepare to take over the executive branch of government come January 20.

Joe Potato Head will read a speech prepared by those handlers to the nation in the wake of that vote tonight, an event that all the TV networks are happily dedicating their air time to covering, in contrast to their consistent refusal to air presidential speeches over the past four years. Because, when the media is corrupt and fake, that’s what they do. Plus, nobody watched their regular programming anymore anyway, so why not?

ABC is so eager to provide glowing and positive coverage for Biden’s handlers that it even published a fawning profile piece on them this morning.

Here’s an excerpt from that ball of fluffery:

But aides are pointing to Biden’s strong approval numbers, tallying a record 81 million votes and an electorate worn by the pandemic in their attempt to nudge Republicans to cooperate. Mike Donilon, a senior adviser to Biden, said the American electorate is looking for Democrats and Republicans to get in sync.

“The agenda that the president-elect is putting forward is very much at the forefront of what people want in their lives,” Donilon said. “So, I think the case is going to be that it’s going to be in the interest of the country, it’s going to be in their own self-interest to get on board and not to get in the way.”

[End]

So, there you have it. The elder-abusing freaks who have been pointing Biden at his TelePrompter and bringing him his daily tapioca pudding for the past year and a half have now become the literal focal point for a corrupt media establishment that is afraid to ask questions directly of the candidate himself for fear of what he might just blurt out into the public domain.

General Mike Flynn is now free to talk, and boy is he talking. – General Flynn, freed finally from the authoritarian grasp of corrupt federal judge Emmet Sullivan, gave an interview to Maria Bartiromo Sunday morning. During the interview, the General told Bartiromo that “we have conclusive evidence of foreign interference in our election,” and stated his belief that the President should invoke the provisions of his 2018 executive order that contemplates the appointment of a special prosecutor to investigate:

Flynn went onto state that “We’ve never witnessed anything like this in the history of this country. And it’s got to be stopped right now or there will never be a free and fair election.”

Flynn’s right, and Sidney Powell also advocated for invoking that executive order in an interview over the weekend.

Watch:

“Well, given the level of foreign interference we can demonstrate, and the country has evidence of in our filings of foreign interference in the election, it is more than sufficient to trigger the President’s executive order from 2018. That gives him all kinds of power, to do everything from seize assets, to freeze things, demand the impoundment of the machines. I think, under the emergency powers, he could even appoint a special prosecutor to look into this, which is exactly what needs to happen.

“Every voting machine in the country should be impounded right now. There’s frankly more than enough criminal probable cause to justify that. For anybody who’s willing to address the law and the facts, purely on the basis of truth, and not politics or corporate greed or global wealth.”

General Flynn and Sidney Powell are serious people, folks. They don’t just talk to hear the sound of their own voices.

And of course, finding a judge, any judge, who is “willing to address the law and the facts, purely on the basis of truth, and not politics or corporate greed or global wealth” has proven to be an extraordinarily difficult, seemingly impossible task.

But Sidney Powell is still working it. – She hasn’t had an success in court with her “kraken” lawsuits, but the indefatigable attorney from Dallas is still working the process. On Saturday, she filed new lawsuits in PA, WI, MI and GA, and also filed an emergency request for immediate action by the U.S. Supreme Court (USSC).

Her emergency request asks the Supremes to “order officials in Georgia, Michigan, and Arizona to immediately de-certify their 2020 election results and to prevent the states’ presidential electors from casting votes in the electoral college. It also appears that Powell and her team are preparing a request for a writ of certiorari for an immediate hearing of her case before the USSC.

From a story at the Epoch Times:

Powell’s team argues that the lawsuits are part of an effort to “expose and reverse an unprecedent multi-state conspiracy to steal the 2020 General Election.” Plaintiffs have been characterized as “conspiracy theorists” by Democrat politicians and activists who are ignoring the many eyewitnesses, whistleblowers, and expert witnesses who are coming forward with accounts of potential fraud and other evidence, the lawyers argue.

“The 2020 General Election was tainted by unconstitutional election fraud on a scale that has never been seen before—at least not in America,” the lawyers allege.

Hundreds of thousands if not millions of illegal, fraudulent, ineligible, or purely fictitious ballots were cast for Biden (along with hundreds of thousands of Trump votes that were intentionally destroyed, lost or switched to Biden), changing the outcome from a Biden loss to a Biden ‘win,’” the filing alleges.

[End]

Again, all of that is obviously true, but the challenge is finding a judge or group of judges who are willing to actually hear the case and rule on the real evidence and merits, instead of resorting to technicalities as the USSC did in the Texas case.

It’s a hell of a challenge.

That is all.

The Antifa/BLM Armed Insurrection Erupts in Washington, DC Yet Again

Democrat mayors around the country are intentionally sowing the seeds of chaos by preventing their police departments from using all means necessary to engage with growing armies of Antifa and BLM street thugs. Take a look at this video clip from Washington, DC yesterday, where Antifa/BLM thugs assaulted Trump supporters following a pro-Trump rally:

So, the BLM/Antifa thugs showed up with shields, knives, clubs and body armor. Meanwhile, the DC police rode in on their cute bicycles with their cute polystyrene helmets and their cute pepper spray and were hamstrung by the Mayor, Marxist Democrat Muriel Bowser, with rules of engagement that prevent them from using anything but the pepper spray and their hands to try to control the rioters.

Yeah, that’s not gonna work. And, guess what: That’s the plan. That’s the intention of these Marxist Democrat mayors. They don’t want it to work. They want the violence and looting and burning to continue and to grow. If that was not their desire, they would authorize their police to engage a line of armored thugs like this one with full force: Billy clubs, rubber bullets, water cannons, tear gas, whatever it takes to disperse them and discourage any thought of continuing the chaos.

This is happening in Democrat-run cities all over the country, folks. In Portland, thugs just like these have been blithely allowed by local officials to establish another so-called “autonomous zone” similar to the CHAZ/CHOP fiasco that existed for a couple of months in Seattle over the summer. Government buildings have been taken over, private businesses have been seized and looted and destroyed, people have been run out of their homes, all because the local mayor is a Marxist nitwit who not only approves but enables the activities of Antifa and BLM thugs.

This is an area in which President Trump has really been negligent, and it is difficult to explain why. He should have long ago declared a national emergency over the activities of Antifa and used the Insurrection Act to enable the use of the National Guard to restore order in these cities where Democrat local officials refuse to do so. Because that’s what this is: It’s an armed insurrection by terrorist groups whose goal is the destruction of the American Republic.

They’ve already killed several people in places like Seattle and Provo, Utah, and last night a Trump supporter in DC was stabbed by an Antifa thug:

All of this goes back to the Founders’ presumption that American voters would elect fellow Americans of good faith who love their country to lead them. That has all broken down over the past 30 years and what we see happening on the streets of our major, Democrat-run cities is the result.

We have an armed insurrection by a pair of domestic terrorist groups, aided and abetted by the Democrat Party and the corrupt national news media, happening in this country. If you think it’s all going to stop when China Joe Potato Head Biden is sworn in on January 20, you have no understanding at all of what these terrorists are really all about.

That is all.

Saturday News Roundup: China Joe Biden Just Keeps Saying the Quiet Parts out Loud

The Texas case got thrown out late on Friday. – The lawsuit brought before the Supreme Court by Texas AG Ken Paxton and 17 other state AGs was rejected by 7 of the 9 members of the Court late on Friday. I discuss the implications of that in a separate story this morning.

We will miss having Tulsi Gabbard in congress. – Yes, she’s a Democrat and yes, I don’t agree with her on all that much, but this is a woman of great courage and conviction who is not afraid to stray from the Democrat Party’s daily script.

On Friday, Cong. Gabbard – who sadly did not run for re-election this year – introduced legislation that would ban biological males from participating in women’s sports nationwide. Sadly for girl and women athletes, this is something that has been allowed in an increasing number of school districts and colleges across the country. Gabbard’s bill is a clear effort to protect the rights of actual, genetic women and their right to compete against human beings who possess similar genetic makeup, and not against biological males who only “identify” as women.

Naturally, Gabbard has been smeared by those on the left. This tweet by The Hill is sadly typical of the absurd slant the corrupt media has put on the story:

Thus, in the eyes of the insane left and its media toadies, this effort to protect the rights of girls and women – which the political left formerly supported – now becomes an “anti-transgender” bill. Up is down, black is white, right is wrong. That is the American left today.

So long, congresswoman. Real, thinking Americans are sad to see you go.

He’s against de-funding the police before he plans to be for it. – China Joe Potato Head Biden got caught on tape saying the quiet part out loud again. In a recording of a virtual event with Democrat Party activists, Biden can be heard advising them all to stop saying “de-fund the police,” but only until after the January 5 Georgia senatorial runoff elections have been held. After that, hey, no problemo, apparently.

Biden is also heard on the recording admitting that President Trump “beat the hell out of us all over the country” despite his own claims to be the legitimate president-elect.  Biden supporters will claim this was just another example of their declining, elderly placeholder resorting to hyperbole, but anyone paying real attention will know it’s just another example of him saying the quiet part out loud.

From a story at PJMedia:

In a recording leaked to The Intercept, former Vice President Biden appeared to blame the “defund the police” movement for the Democrats’ shellacking down-ballot in the 2020 elections, and urged liberal civil rights leaders not to put public pressure on his incoming administration regarding police reform until after the Georgia Senate runoff elections in January.

“I also don’t think we should get too far ahead ourselves on dealing with police reform in that, because they’ve already labeled as being ‘defund the police’ anything we put forward in terms of the organizational structure to change policing — which I promise you, will occur. Promise you.”

Biden can be heard telling left-wing civil rights leaders in the recording, “Just think to yourself and give me advice whether we should do that before January 5, because that’s how they beat the living hell out of us across the country… I just raise it with you to think about. How much do we push between now and January 5—we need those two seats— about police reform? But I guarantee you there will be a full-blown commission. I guarantee you it’s a major, major, major element…we can go very far.”

Successful efforts to defund the police at the local have resulted in disasters nationwide. But Joe Biden himself has publicly expressed support for defunding the police. During an interview with activist Ady Barkan, Biden said, “Yes, absolutely,” when asked if they both could agree that “we can redirect some of the [police] funding?”

[End]

Equally of interest, China Joe then goes on to lecture the radical leftists who make up the vast majority of the Democrat voter base today on the limits of executive authority:

So there’s some things that I’m going to be able to do by executive order. I’m not going to hesitate to do it, but what I’m not going to do is I’m not going to do what used to — Vanita [Gupta], you probably used to get angry with me during the debates, when you’d have some of the people you were supporting saying, ‘On Day 1, I’m gonna have an executive order to do this!’ Not within the constitutional authority. I am not going to violate the Constitution. Executive authority that my progressive friends talk about is way beyond the bounds. And as one of you said, maybe it was you, Reverend Al [Sharpton], whether it’s far left or far right, there is a Constitution. It’s our only hope. Our only hope and the way to deal with it is, where I have executive authority, I will use it to undo every single damn thing this guy has done by executive authority, but I’m not going to exercise executive authority where it’s a question, where I can come along and say, ‘I can do away with assault weapons.’ There’s no executive authority to do away that. And no one has fought harder to get rid of assault weapons than me, me, but you can’t do it by executive order. We do that, next guy comes along and says, Well, guess what? By executive order, I guess everybody can have machine guns again. So we gotta be careful.

[End]

Boy, oh, boy. That is not going to sit well with the Bernie Sanders and AOC’s of the world. If he does ultimately assume the presidency, China Joe is going to find that his honeymoon lasts about 15 seconds before all hell starts to come at him from members of his own party.

Hey, he can’t do any worse than Comrade De Blasio. – Looks like Andrew Yang is probably going to run for Mayor of New York next year.

From the story at JustTheNews:

Entrepreneur and 2020 Democratic presidential candidate Andrew Yang is making plans to run for New York City mayor.

Yang, whose presidential campaign centered on a universal basic income for every American, has been telling city leaders that he intends to run in next year’s election, according to The New York Times.

He is not expected to announce his bid until at least next month and has already met with a top City Council member, the newspaper reports. Yang declined Thursday to comment to The Times about the purported bid.

[End]

Hey, it’s New York City, where a guy like Andrew Yang is actually considered to be a “moderate.” If he does end up running, he would almost certainly be the least repugnant, anti-American radical among the Democrat candidates in the field. We should all wish him the best of luck in his pursuit.

That is all.

No, It’s Not Time For President Trump to Stop

This decision is not what the media is saying it was. – As was always likely, the U.S. Supreme Court declined late on Friday to hear the case filed by Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton challenging the election results in four states in which he does not serve or live: Pennsylvania, Michigan, Wisconsin and Georgia.

The corrupt news media is reporting this result as if the Court ruled on the merits of the constitutional argument made by Paxton, which is that these four states clearly violated the Electors clause of that document by allowing changes to voting procedures to be made by gubernatorial and/or judicial fiat, rather than by their state legislatures, as the constitution clearly requires.  But the truth is that the Court did not rule on that aspect at all.

What the Court did rule was that Paxton has no standing to bring the case because he lives in Texas and not one of the four states being sued, saying that “we can only deal with fraud claims brought by the people from places where it actually happened.” While the Texas lawsuit did have the support of 17 other state AGs, none of those men and women happened to be from the states that were the subject of the lawuit.

Thus, even though the clearly fraudulent results in those four states swung the election to China Joe Potato Head Biden and his designated successor Kamala Harris, thus disenfranchising the 75 million Americans who legally voted for President Trump, the Supremes ruled that the AGs representing many millions of those Americans have no standing to bring the case.

That’s what actually happened.

Prepare for a parade of surrender monkeys this weekend. – The public airwaves and cable news channels will be filled with them. You can bet that the Mitt Romneys and Ben Sassy Sasses and Lamar Alexanders and all the slobs at the Lincoln Project and the Bullwark have had their agents hitting speed dial in desperate efforts to get George Stephanopoulous or Chris Wallace or Fake Jake Tapper or that little human weasel who hosts Meet the Press to give them 5 minutes on their Sunday morning talk shows so they call claim to be “right” about something or other and pontificate that it is time for Donald Trump to give up. Why, that would be all for the good of the country, don’t you know.

But would it really be “for the good of the country” for the President who knows this was a stolen election to just toss up his hands and ride off into the sunset? Would it really be “for the good of the country” to turn the presidency over to an elderly, declining lifelong circus clown who doesn’t know where he is half the time? Would it really be “for the good of the country” to surrender the country to the subjects of this meme that made its way across social media on Friday?:

Image may contain: one or more people, text that says 'DEC.21/DEC.28.2020 PERSON the YEAR TIME XIJINPING, JOE BIDEN KAMALA HARRIS CHANGING ING AMERICA'S STORY'

The only reasons that meme is funny is because so many people think it is actually what Time really did with its cover this week, and that the truth is that Time should have done that with its cover this week.

Is it really, truly in the best interests of the country to turn the presidency over to a guy who is so clearly and unambiguously compromised by the communist Chinese government? That’s the opinion that even Byron York, a defender of the President, stated in a late update to his Friday Daily Memo:

“On Friday evening, the Supreme Court rejected the president’s last big challenge, the lawsuit filed by the state of Texas against Georgia, Pennsylvania, Michigan, and Wisconsin. There was no way in the world the court, at the behest of one state, would throw out election results in four other states. There was no basis on which to do it, it was not called for by the Constitution, and it would have set a terrible precedent that would surely plague our politics in years to come. In the end, the justices decided not to take the case at all. Only two, Samuel Alito and Clarence Thomas, said the court should have taken the case, but even they said they “would not grant other relief” and expressed “no view on any other issue.” With that, Trump’s hope of the nation’s highest court stopping certification of the election died.”

Byron York is not a disloyal fake Republican, unlike the clowns at the Lincoln Project and the Bullwark. He’s a smart guy, an actual conservative who generally exercises good judgment.

In this case, though, his judgment is wrong. This is not the time to give in to the surrender monkey faction of the GOP, and you can be sure President Trump is not about to do that.

Here’s what he said on his Twitter feed last night:

“A Rigged Election, fight on!”

Surrender is just not a part of Donald Trump’s personality, and he won’t be doing that today or any other day until all of his options have been exhausted.

That is all.

Friday News Roundup: Cotton Demands Special Counsel and China Apparently Owns MIT

Senator Cotton makes a really strong point. – Arkansas Senator Tom Cotton urged Attorney General William Barr to appoint a special counsel to handle the investigation into Hunter Biden’s taxes, money laundering and other influence peddling activities around the world. Cotton notes that the circumstances create a clear and blatant conflict of interest where the Big Guy, China Joe Potato Head Biden is concerned, and that conflict of interest cries out for the appointment of a special counsel related to the case.

From a piece at JustTheNews:

“I know the Biden campaign released details of a tax fraud investigation in Wilmington,” said Cotton during the Fox News interview. “I think that was just to show maybe the least damaging part of the investigation.”

“There’s allegations of securities fraud and money laundering related to Hunter Biden’s Chinese businesses, a crooked hospital deal with Jim Biden, Joe Biden’s brother, out in western Pennsylvania. These investigations span multiple jurisdictions,” Cotton said, remarking that in the event that Joe Biden becomes the nation’s next president, “those prosecutors are in line to be fired next month. If there were ever circumstances that create a conflict of interest and called for a special counsel, I think those circumstances are present here.”

The Arkansas Republican said that the Biden family has leveraged Joe Biden’s government posts for their benefit in the past and would continue to do so if Biden serves as president.

“Look, the Biden family has been trading on Joe Biden’s public office for 50 years. Valerie Biden Owens, his sister, and Jim Biden, his brother, and Hunter Biden his son,” he said. “Do we really think that that will change if Joe Biden becomes president, the highest office in the land?”

[End]

Right now, the investigation is being handled out of the U.S. Attorney’s office in Delaware. Joe Potato Head Biden will no doubt follow the example of Bill Clinton and Barack Hussein Obama His Own Self and immediately fire all U.S. attorneys and replace them with leftist cronies whose first task will be to halt any potentially damaging investigations and cover them all up. The creation of a special counsel’s office would make it much more difficult, both politically and procedurally, for a Biden-appointed attorney general to come into office and sweep it all under the rug.

Sen. Cotton is absolutely correct in this instance, as he generally tends to be. But will Barr do the right thing related to this clear case of the Biden family peddling its influence around the world? His record thus far is certainly not encouraging.

After all, Byron York revealed yesterday that this investigation began way back in 2018, and was already ongoing when Barr took office. He has been fully aware of it since his first day on the job and chose to keep it all quiet for the last 21 months despite his knowledge that its existence was something American voters should know about given that Biden was the Democrat Party nominee for president.

I’m not advocating that Barr should have revealed the investigation as an October surprise. But Barr should have made the investigation public during the Democrat nominating process so that Democrat primary voters would be aware of the enormous ethical problem China Joe would create for their party. By withholding its existence and the strong evidence against not just Hunter but the entire Biden family, Barr heinously influenced the outcome of the general election.

Why, it’s almost as if Barr wanted Joe Potato Head to win. Go figure.

Meanwhile, on the election challenge front… – On Thursday 106 GOP members of the U.S. House of Representaives filed an Amicus brief of their own in support of the Texas lawsuit that challenges the clear constitutional violations that took place prior to the election in Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, Michigan and Georgia:

24 members of the Pennsylvania Senate and 68 members of the PA House did the same thing:

The Justice Foundation and the Amistad Project joined in the fun:

The suit brought by Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton certainly has a great deal of support.

But of course, not everyone is on board, including not a single Democrat or a single individual in the nation’s corrupt news media. Then there is RINO Nebraska Senator Ben Sassy Sasse, who yesterday snidely remarked (because everything he says is a snide remark) that Paxton’s lawsuit has other motivations.

From a story at Newsweek:

Senator Ben Sasse, a Nebraska Republican, suggested on Thursday that Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton, a Republican, filed a Supreme Court lawsuit attempting to overturn the election results in Georgia, Michigan, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin in an effort to get a pardon from President Donald Trump.

Sasse suggested on Thursday that a lawsuit filed with the Supreme Court by Texas’ Attorney General Ken Paxton in a bid to overturn election results in four battleground states is an attempt to garner a pardon from President Donald Trump.

The Associated Press reported in November that Paxton is under investigation by the FBI over allegations that he abused his office in an effort to benefit a wealthy donor. That investigation came after seven senior staff members under the attorney general urged federal law enforcement in an open letter in early October to “investigate allegations [against Paxton] of improper influence, abuse of office, bribery and other potential crimes.”

“I’m no lawyer, but I suspect the Supreme Court swats this away. From the brief, it looks like a fella begging for a pardon filed a PR stunt rather than a lawsuit—as all of the assertions have already been rejected by federal courts and Texas’ own solicitor general isn’t signing on,” Sasse told The Washington Examiner on Thursday, commenting on the long-shot effort to overturn the election results in the four battleground states to benefit Trump.

[End]

And who knows? Sassy Sasse may be right – the lawsuit could be destined to fail. But are the 17 other state attorneys general supporting the lawsuit also looking for pardons? Are Sasse’s 106 fellow Republicans in the House all looking for pardons? What about the 92 Pennsylvania Republicans – are they looking for pardons? Do all of those Republicans and the myriad lawyers and witnesses who are fighting the good fight in all of these states where massive election fraud did take place have bad motives in Sassy’s eyes?

What a ridiculous thing to say. But hey, it’s Ben Sassy Sasse – ridiculous is his other middle name.

And on the China influence front… – No, this is not about Hunter Biden or Eric Swalwell and his honeypot, although it certainly could be.

No, this is about Secretary of State Mike Pompeo and MIT, which refused to allow Sec. Pompeo to speak on its campus out of fear of offending the formerly respected school’s Chinese benefactors. I swear I do not make this stuff up.

From a story at the New York Post:

Secretary of State Mike Pompeo unloaded on officials at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology on Wednesday, accusing them of refusing to host him because they didn’t want to upset their Chinese interests.

Speaking at the Georgia Institute of Technology, Pompeo accused the Chinese Communist Party of “poisoning” the nation’s higher education system and said American schools were censoring anti-Beijing dissent because they were “hooked on Chinese Communist Party cash.”

“MIT wasn’t interested in having me to their campus to give this exact set of remarks. President Raphael Reif implied that my arguments might insult their ethnic Chinese students and professors,” Pompeo told the crowd in the Peach State.

“But of course nothing could further from the truth. These are the very people that this set of remarks is intended to protect, to protect their freedoms,” he said.

MIT is currently under investigation by the Department of Education for failing to fully declare foreign donations from the People’s Republic of China.

[End]

Oh.

This situation is already intolerable, and we’re about to have a pure China puppet in the presidency.

Pray for our country.

Johns Hopkins University is Going to Need a New Name

Just rename it Eric Swalwell Honeypot U and everything will be solved. – Welp, looks like Johns Hopkins University is going to be getting a new name sometime in the near future. It turns out the founder of the renowned university – yes, his name was Johns Hopkins – was a slave owner back in the 19th century, which came as a surprise to current leaders of the University since the legend about Mr. Hopkins always held that he was an early and avid abolitionist:

Those leaders penned a letter to the current school community and printed by the New York Post in which they revealed the nasty news: “For most of the last century, our institutions believed Johns Hopkins to be an early and staunch abolitionist whose father, a committed Quaker, had freed the family’s enslaved people in 1807,” university leaders wrote in a letter to the Johns Hopkins community. “We now have government census records that state Mr. Hopkins was the owner of one enslaved person listed in his household in 1840 and four enslaved people listed in 1850.”

From a story at the New York Post:

The revelations came to light as part of the Hopkins Retrospective, a project that began seven years ago to explore the school’s origins and history.

The findings contradict a narrative that was a large part of the school’s history.

“For most of the last century, our institutions believed Johns Hopkins to be an early and staunch abolitionist whose father, a committed Quaker, had freed the family’s enslaved people in 1807,” schools leaders wrote in Wednesday’s letter.

“But over the past several months, research being done as a part of the Hopkins Retrospective has caused us to question this narrative. We now have government census records that state Mr. Hopkins was the owner of one enslaved person listed in his household in 1840 and four enslaved people listed in 1850.”

Johns Hopkins launched the school, America’s first research university, in 1876. It created the hospital in 1889. School leaders noted that Hopkins “specifically directed that the hospital extend its care to include the indigent of Baltimore regardless of sex, age, or race.”

[End]

So, the school must be renamed. Oh, they haven’t said that yet, but hell, we have school districts now taking the names of Thomas Jefferson and George Washington off of their schools, how can a comparative slouch like Johns Hopkins survive with his name intact? I mean, all Johns Hopkins did was found the very first research university in the United States of America, a university whose medical center has saved the lives of hundreds of thousand of people, not just Americans, but people of all races, religions and creeds from all over the world in the intervening 144 years since its founding.

What kind of racist sloth could possibly advocate for keeping Hopkins’ name on the school he founded when there are so many more deserving people out there? You know, sterling individuals like Gerrold Nadler or Adam Schiff or Eric Swalwell or Maxine Waters or Alexandria Ocasio Cortez or Chuck Schumer or Michigan’s Governor, Adolpha Whitmer. The list of much more deserving heroes of the left goes on and on and grows daily, literally crying out for more schools named for 17th-and 18th-century racists who were born into privilege, never took any risks for this country and never did anything really significant in their own lives to be renamed.

*sigh*

Is America “Trending Towards Secession”? Maybe So.

On his radio program yesterday, Rush Limbaugh indicated his belief that our country may be trending towards secession by some states.

From the story at Mediaite:

Rush Limbaugh said on his radio show Wednesday that the U.S. may be “trending toward secession.”

As Limbaugh talked about liberal cities like New York and San Francisco, he took up a question of whether “we can win the culture.”

“I actually think — and I’ve referenced this, I’ve alluded to this a couple of times because I’ve seen others allude to this — I actually think that we’re trending toward secession,” he said.

“I see more and more people asking what in the world do we have in common with the people who live in, say, New York?” Limbaugh asked.

In the segment, first flagged by Media Matters, he said, “A lot of bloggers have written extensively about how distant and separated and how much more separated our culture is becoming politically and that it can’t go on this way. There cannot be a peaceful coexistence of two completely different theories of life, theories of government, theories of how we manage our affairs. We can’t be in this dire a conflict without something giving somewhere along the way.”

[End]

Rush is generally right, and he may well be right here. This all ties in with my piece from the past weekend titled “How Does America Recover From This? It Doesn’t.”

Past generations of Americans had plenty in common, the most obvious among those things being that we were all Americans and all but a tiny few felt an undying loyalty to this country. That love of country – taught in our schools, in our churches and promoted by the entertainment and news media industries – bound us together. We were Americans and damn proud of it.

But that has all changed in America today, specifically on the radical political leftwing, which now dominates the Democrat Party and its policy pursuits. As I discussed in that piece, our entire system of government and the viability of our constitutional Republic depends on the premise that the vast majority of those who govern us would be people of good will who love this country and are loyal to it. Sadly, that entire premise has now become extremely suspect in the Democrat Party, the party that dominates states like New York, which Rush referred to in that monologue.

Today’s Democrat Party not only tolerates having an Eric Swalwell among it, Nancy Pelosi assigns him to serve on the House Intelligence Committee, a post from which he could easily share America’s most tightly held national security secrets to his ChiCom honeypot. Today’s Democrat Party not only tolerates having a Dianne Feinstein – who employed a ChiCom spy as her chauffer for 20 years – in its midst, Harry Reid and Chuck Schumer assign her to serve as the Party’s senior member on the Senate Judiciary Committee, and as a member of the Senate Intelligence Committee.

Today’s Democrat Party not only tolerates having anti-Semitic, America hating members like AOC, Rashida Talib and Ilhan Omar in its midst, it celebrates them, gives them plum committee assignments and affords them heavy influence in the Party’s agenda.

Today’s Democrat Party not only tolerates having ChiCom sellouts like Joe and Hunter Biden in its midst, it celebrates them, covers up for them and even rigs its presidential nomination for an elderly, declining lifelong circus clown as a reward.

The abject hatred of America and everything it stands far among those on the radical political left is not only glaringly evident in Congress, we can see it every day rioting in the streets and issuing heinous diatribes on Twitter, Facebook and other social media platforms. We are at a point in this country where one cannot wear a cap expressing a desire for this country to be great again without being physically assaulted on the streets with the full sanction of many local mayors and the entirety of the corrupt national news media. We are at a point in our country where one risks assault by admitting he or she works in the oil industry or goes to church. We are at a point in our country where major city Democrat mayors like Bill De Blasio feel free to repeatedly attack, chastise and discriminate against Jews and Christians.

What do people in Texas or Oklahoma or North Dakota or Louisiana or Alabama have in common with people in New York or California or Seattle or Portland anymore? Not much, and in very large part, not even love of country.

So, when Rush Limbaugh says he thinks we are trending towards secession, he should be taken seriously.

That is all.

Thursday News Roundup: CNN Admits the New York Post’s Hunter Biden Reporting Was All True

So, CNN admits that the New York Post’s stories on Hunter Biden’s laptop were 100% accurate, then? – Sure seems like it, anyway. You all remember the New York Post’s original reporting on Hunter Biden’s laptop and the contents thereon, correct? Remember how the story was spiked by every major corrupt media outlet in the country? Remember how users at Twitter and all of the other big social media platforms were denied the ability to share it? Remember how the Post’s accounts on Twitter and Facebook were shut down for weeks to prevent the newspaper from sharing any other new reporting on that story?

Yeah, it was all so October, the month before the election, of course.

Anyway, the news-fakers at CNN ran a story of their own yesterday, after the Biden fake president-elect operation revealed that China Joe’s creepy ne’er-do-well son was being investigated by the Delaware U.S. Attorney’s office for tax issues. The funny thing is, that CNN story, which came 2 months after the New York Post’s story that was supposedly too toxic to report back in October, essentially confirms every aspect of the Post’s story. But of course, CNN does all of that well after the election has come and gone.

Funny how that works, huh?

I’m not going to excerpt from the CNN story, because to hell with CNN and their compatriots in the corrupt, fake news media. But know that the CNN story also informs us that the FBI and DOJ “paused” their supposed “investigation” of Hunter and his magic laptop throughout the weeks leading up to Election Day because they didn’t want to “influence” the presidential election. Many in the corrupt news media employed the same excuse.

The point here is this: The DOJ and media, by refusing to investigate or report on the laptop DID influence the election, and influenced it massively in Joe Potato Head Biden’s favor.

But that, of course, was the goal. Despicable people.

Speaking of ne’er-do-well Democrats… – It looks like farty Eric Swalwell is lying about his having broken off ties to the ChiCom honeypot with whom he was fooling around and paying back in 2015. From a story at RedState.com:

Swalwell’s defense, as he lays out during the luxurious tongue-bath CNN’s Jim Sciutto offered up, is that he’s had nothing to do with her since she fled back to China in 2015 and, being the patriotic, red-blooded American that he is, Swalwell claims that he has fully cooperated with the FBI and his cooperation was destroyed by the Trump administration who leaked the story of him banging a Chinese spy to the media out of revenge for his key roll in the impeachment fiasco. Or something like that. Swalwell isn’t really smart enough to sound coherent even under the best of circumstances.

That, however, may or may not be the truth.

Oh. Why would a member of congress continue to be friends with a ChiCom spy who got him into a full-blown FBI investigation, five full years after that supposed “investigation” took place? And, why wouldn’t the FBI, if its supposed “investigation” was really on the up and up, be investigating that clearly ongoing relationship between the congressman and the ChiCom spy?

The answers to those questions are a really very obvious, aren’t they? Occam’s Razor really does apply here. Think about it.

Turncoats. Turncoats Everwhere! – Ok, Mitt Romney has never been a real Republican, but President Trump’s ongong challenges  to the obviously-fraudulent election results in five states are really bringing the turncoats out of the weeds now.

Romney is the most prominent among them, because of course he is.:

Then there’s this from regular Fox News contributor Andy McCarthy, who is really getting on board with Paul Ryan’s new “turn hard left” program for the fading fake news channel:

Yes, that would be the “frivolous” Texas lawsuit filed by Texas AG Ken Paxton, the “frivolous” lawsuit that now has 17 other state AG’s signing Amicus briefs supporting it:

Hey, Andy, maybe you should think about standing down on this one.

Speaking of that Texas lawsuit, President Trump yesterday asked Ted Cruz to present the oral arguments related to it before the Supreme Court if the Court agrees to hear the case:

From the story at TheHill:

President Trump has asked Texas Sen. Ted Cruz (R) to present a case from his state’s attorney general seeking to invalidate the election results of several key battleground states before the Supreme Court should it decide to hear the suit, The New York Times reported Wednesday.

The lawsuit from Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton (R) seeks to void the vote certifications of Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, Georgia and Michigan, arguing that the results are “tainted” by new election processes in those states.

The court has not yet agreed to hear the case on its merits and on Tuesday rejected efforts by pro-Trump attorneys to overturn the results in Pennsylvania in a separate case.

[End]

Texas AG Paxton would need to gain the votes of four of the nine USSC justices in order for the case to receive a full hearing by that body. Given that all of the states that are the subject of the lawsuit clearly violated the constitution by allowing changes to their voting procedures to be made by gubernatorial orders (many of which themselves likely also violate parts of the constitution) or by state courts absent consideration by their state legislatures, it seems likely that the suit will be heard.

If that comes about, Senator Cruz, while serving as Texas’s Deputy AG prior to running for the Senate, argued nine cases before the USSC and won most of them. It would be difficult to find a more effective and experienced advocate for the case, which President Trump also made clear yesterday that his lawyers will support via Amicus briefs.

Very interesting developments all around here.

The face of Mussolini in our time. – Bill de Blasio continued his fascist campaign of discrimination against his city’s Jewish community yesterday:

From a story at DailyWire:

Democratic New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio warned an ultra-Orthodox synagogue in Brooklyn on Tuesday that he will shut them down “once and for all” if they continue to flout his lockdown orders.

During a Tuesday press conference, de Blasio was asked about a large indoor funeral held Monday by Congregation Yetev Lev D’Satmar, a prominent synagogue in Williamsburg that was also recently fined $15,000 for secretly conducting a large indoor wedding in November.

“If we see another confirmed situation in which an inappropriate event is happening in that same building, then we’re going to have to move to shut down the building once and for all,” de Blasio said, according to Gothamist. “That would be the next step if we see non-compliance.”

“I do think there’s an ideological factor that’s making things a lot harder,” de Blasio also said, seeming to imply that the Hasidic community’s continued non-compliance with state and city lockdown orders stems from their widespread support for President Donald Trump.

[End]

Notice all the loaded language being used to refer to the Hasidic Jews: “ultra-orthodox,” “ideological,” “inappropriate,” etc. It’s the very same sort of language pushed by Hitler and Mussolini in the 1930s.

These are very, very frightening times.

That is all.

DOJ Supposedly “Investigating” Hunter Biden’s Taxes. Yeah, Sure It Is.

It turns out that when you rake in millions from the ChiComs and crooked Ukrainian gas companies and don’t properly report it to the IRS, it actually raises some eyebrows. – Who could have known that? Certainly not Hunter Biden, who no doubt has just assumed that the fact that his Pop (you know, The Big Guy) is a card-carrying member of the DC Swamp, he’s grandfathered in under that same umbrella and thus immune to any action being taken against him by our fat, lazy Attorney General, William Barr and his do-nothing Department of Justice.

And hey, no one should get too excited about it, because it’s probably all just for show, but ne’er-do-well Hunter tweeted out a statement today announcing that he has been formally notified that he is under investigation by the Delaware U.S. Attorney’s office over his tax affairs:

How about that? Naturally, the DOJ’s slow-footed action here comes far too late to save the nation from a four-year term in the Oval Office by Hunter’s ChiCom sellout, mentally addled old geezer Pop (aka, The Big Guy), because that’s just how things happen in the DC Swamp.

From a story at USA Today:

President-elect Joe Biden’s transition announced Wednesday that his son, Hunter, is being investigated for his taxes by the U.S. attorney’s office in Delaware.

Hunter Biden was the focus of Republican complaints during the campaign for business dealings with Ukraine and China. But Hunter Biden hasn’t been charged and two Republican-led congressional committees in September found no wrongdoing by Joe Biden.

Political adversaries including President Donald Trump accused the former vice president of benefitting from his son’s business. But Joe Biden denied any illegal or unethical dealings with his son.

Hunter Biden said Wednesday that he learned Tuesday that federal prosecutors are investigating his tax affairs.

Hunter Biden waits for the start of his father's debate in October 2011 at Centre College in Danville, Ky.

“I take this matter very seriously but I am confident that a professional and objective review of these matters will demonstrate that I handled my affairs legally and appropriately, including with the benefit of professional tax advisors,” Hunter Biden said in a statement.

Biden’s transition office said in a statement that the president-elect “is deeply proud of my son, who has fought through difficult challenges, including the vicious personal attacks of recent months, only to emerge stronger.”

[End]

Hooboy. What a load of rank, smelly, fresh horse manure that last statement is. But hey, it was written by a team of Democrat message monkeys, so what else would we expect?

That is all.

His Corrupt Goal Achieved, Emmet Sullivan Finally Relents

Corrupt federal judge Emmet Sullivan finally, at long last, dismissed the frame-up case against General Mike Flynn, but not before he had compiled and submitted a petulant, 42-page rant smearing the General one last time. Because that’s the kind of raging asshat Emmet Sullivan truly is.

“The history of the Constitution, its structure, and the Supreme Court’s interpretation of the pardon power make clear that President Trump’s decision to pardon Mr. Flynn is a political decision, not a legal one,” Sullivan said in his Tuesday order. “Because the law recognizes the President’s political power to pardon, the appropriate course is to dismiss this case as moot.”

To be clear, this case has been legally moot since last spring, when the Department of Justice admitted that the entire thing had begun as an effort by corrupt FBI officials to frame General Flynn as part of an Obama Administration plot to prevent him from becoming Donald Trump’s National Security Advisor. And to be clear, that plot ultimately worked, in large part thanks to Sullivan’s knowing and willing participation in it. Sullivan’s tireless efforts to repeatedly delay and string out the process were the main reason why this case lasted for more than three years, his gag order keeping Flynn quiet until after the 2020 election had come and gone.

That was the plan all along, and you have to give credit where credit is due. Flynn simply knew where too many of the Obama-era bodies were buried to ever be allowed to hold a high national security position in a Republican administration. So they framed him, persecuted him relentlessly through the Mueller Special Counsel Gestapo operation, and got to the federal judge in the case and convinced him to play his role. And Sullivan played that role to the hilt, resorting to all manner of extra-constitutional maneuvers to string the case along and avoid bringing it to a conclusion.

While we should all be happy for General Flynn and his new-found freedom, we must all also admit that the Deep State won in this instance, and Sullivan’s willingness to grotesquely corrupt his office was the deciding factor. Sadly for our country, there exists no viable means to hold this despicable judge accountable in any real way for his actions. The only legal means of doing so would be for congress to impeach him and remove him from office, but today’s congress can’t agree on what day it is, much less form a consensus around getting rid of an utterly crooked federal judge.

Thus, Emmet Sullivan, after abusing his office to destroy the life of a real, true American hero who has given his entire adult life to the service of this country, will now be allowed to fade back into the shadowy background where he had always functioned before the Flynn case landed in his court. Meanwhile, General Flynn can now go about trying to pick up the pieces and rebuild some semblance of the life he and his family once enjoyed.

This is how our country’s system of “justice” works in the 21st century, thanks to the corruption wrought by eight long years of America’s Worst Mistake, Barack Hussein Obama.

Godspeed, General Flynn.

That is all.

Wednesday News Roundup: Swalwell’s ChiCom Honey Pot is the Tip of an Enormous Iceberg

Or maybe it’s because he was sleeping with a Chinese spy. Maybe that’s the reason behind the story. – You have to love – or like me, hate – the fake journalist hacks at Politico. Yesterday we found out that California Democrat Eric Swalwell had been sleeping with a ChiCom spy and paid her to help him with, um…’strategic planning’ for several years, prompting a full-blown FBI investigation during the Obama Administration in 2015.

Ever eager to provide cover for its Democrat Party benefactors, here is the take that the Politico hacks decided to run with on the story:

Why yes, it’s all a “conspiracy theory” you see, prompted by the infamous farting congressman’s criticism of President Trump. That’s why, you see, the FBI, then led by Trump hating James Comey, investigated the situation in 2015, long before Donald Trump ever became President. It’s all a great, big conspiracy.

Holy crap.

For the real truth in this story of the ChiComs targeting California Dems like Swalwell, Pelosi and Feinstein, let’s go to the write-up at DailyWire:

Democrat Rep. Eric Swalwell (CA) suggested without evidence on Tuesday that the bombshell story that was published this week about his ties to a suspected Chinese spy was payback by the Trump administration for him repeatedly attacking President Donald Trump over Russia.

The alleged spy, Chinese national Christine Fang, “targeted up-and-coming local politicians in the Bay Area and across the country who had the potential to make it big on the national stage” through “campaign fundraising, extensive networking, personal charisma, and romantic or sexual relationships,” Axios reported. “Even though U.S. officials do not believe Fang received or passed on classified information, the case ‘was a big deal, because there were some really, really sensitive people that were caught up’ in the intelligence network, a current senior U.S. intelligence official said.”

“Amid a widening counterintelligence probe, federal investigators became so alarmed by Fang’s behavior and activities that around 2015 they alerted Swalwell to their concerns — giving him what is known as a defensive briefing,” Axios reported. “Swalwell immediately cut off all ties to Fang, according to a current U.S. intelligence official, and he has not been accused of any wrongdoing.”

Fang, who allegedly helped bring in top donors to Swalwell, later left the U.S. in 2015 and returned to China. U.S. officials told Axios that they believe that China’s communist government ended her mission and called her back, perhaps because they saw signs that the U.S. government was closing in on her alleged activities.

[End]

Miz Fang, you see, was the classic honey pot, a cute woman who slept around with corrupt and gullible slugs like Fartwell in order to influence their political actions. Just a small part of the overall ChiCom effort to subvert U.S. officials to their will.

And if you think we have seen the whole story on this, well, buckle up and stay tuned. This is just the tip of the iceberg and there are reports that Swalwell has been feverishly fighting against release of more details about his involvement with the little nymph.

How big is this story? Watch this clip of a senior ChiCom official bragging to an audience about the scope and scale of his government’s success in bribing and honey-potting U.S. politicians at the highest levels:

From a related story at the New York Post:

A recently recorded lecture showing a Chinese Communist Party expert explaining how Beijing had “people at the top of America’s core inner circle” has found its way onto the internet in the United States after being censored in China.

The lecture, given by Di Dongsheng, vice dean of the School of International Relations at Renmin University, in late November also included references to President-elect Joe Biden’s son Hunter and his business dealings in the Communist country.

Speaking about what was pushing the Chinese to accelerate the reopening of their financial sectors, Di made the revelation that Beijing had a rarely discussed advantage in working with the US prior to the Trump administration.

“We know that the Trump administration is in a trade war with us, so why can’t we fix the Trump administration? Why did China and the US used to be able to settle all kinds of issues between 1992 and 2016?” Di asked, going on to answer the question himself.

“I’m going to throw out something maybe a little bit explosive here. It’s just because we have people at the top. We have our old friends who are at the top of America’s core inner circle of power and influence,” the top Chinese political scientist continued.

Di added during the lecture that “for the past 30 years, 40 years, we have been utilizing the core power of the United States.”

As for the future of the US-China relationship, Di appeared optimistic about China’s ability to thrive under an incoming President Biden.

“During the US-China trade war, [Wall Street] tried to help, and I know that my friends on the US side told me that they tried to help, but they couldn’t do much. But now we’re seeing Biden was elected, the traditional elite, the political elite, the establishment, they’re very close to Wall Street, so you see that, right?” Di asked the audience, noting that the next administration would likely take a very different stance from that of President Trump.

[End]

Yes, we see that. Right? Right.

We are being asked by our corrupt news media – which is also completely tied up with and beholden to the ChiComs and their economy – to believe that 80 million Americans went out and voted for a mentally-addled elderly circus clown who every one knows is a corrupt Chinese puppet to be their president. We are expected to just meekly accept that outcome even though literally everyone knows the election was stolen in front of the world via massive election fraud in Detroit, Milwaukee, Philadelphia, Phoenix and Atlanta.

Now, do you all understand why octogenarians like San Fran Nan, Dianne Feinstein and Maxine Waters have clung so desperately to their seats of power despite barely being able to keep their dentures in their mouths? Now, do you all understand why the Democrat Party fixed its nomination process for Joe Biden of all people? Now, do you all understand why the Democrat Party was willing to literally steal millions of votes while we were all watching and why its propagandists in the corrupt news media have happily turned every one of their “news” outlets into carbon copies of the Socialist Workers Daily and Pravda?

It’s all about China. It has always been all about China, and if Joe Biden takes the oath of office on January 20 of next year, we will all ultimately become all about China.

That’s what’s at stake here. Don’t kid yourselves otherwise.

That is all.

WATCH: China and America’s Elite – A Tucker Carlson Monologue Every American Should See

Yes, I know everyone hates Fox News now, but bear with me here. – Tucker Carlson delivered a revealing monologue on last night’s show about how the ChiComs are going about bribing and influencing America’s politicians, educators and other elements of the “elite” in our society. It is so on point that Twitter is trying and failing to block access to it this morning.

Take the time to either watch the clip below or read the transcript that follows. You will be glad you did.

Watch this clip:

Here’s the Transcript:

Since the day Donald Trump was elected in 2016, we have been told that Russia is at the very top of the list of threats to America. Russia has penetrated our government. Russia threatens our democracy. Russia works tirelessly to subvert our economy and our way of life.

Of course, such claims were a lie, and we’re all aware of that now. Russia never had the power or the money to control our government, and there’s no evidence they even tried. But that doesn’t mean that there was no collusion.

In fact, top leaders in American government and business have been compromised by a foreign power that seeks to undermine our country and our democratic system. It turns out that many of the very people who ranted so hysterically about Russia  were doing precisely what they claimed to decry. They were working on behalf of our chief global rival, the government of China.

The Russia hoax, effectively, was a diversion. It hid something that is not a hoax at all, but is real and threatening to all of us. We’re going to spend the foreseeable future reporting on the relationship between America’s political and financial elites and the communist government of China that has made many of them very rich.

On Nov. 28, Di Dongsheng, a professor at Renmin University in Beijing, appeared on a Chinese television show about Wall Street and international trade. Like so many in academia in China, Di is a servant of his country’s government. This video was deleted from Chinese social media soon after being uploaded, and here’s why:

DI DONSHENG (translation): The Trump administration is in a trade war with us, so why can’t we fix the Trump administration? Why, between 1992 and 2016, did China and the U.S., use to be able to settle all kinds of issues? No mater what kind of crises we encountered … things were solved in no time … We fixed everything in two months. What is the reason? I’m going to throw out something maybe a little bit explosive here. It’s just because we have people at the top. At the top of America’s core inner circle of power and influence, we have our old friends.

Two different Chinese speakers have confirmed the above translation. This is as close to a smoking gun as we have ever seen.

“We have people at the top. At the top of America’s core inner circle of power and influence.” According to Di Dongsheng, that has been true for decades.

So who are these people and how many of them work in our media and in our government? Well, Di didn’t say precisely. At another point in the program, he described a Chinese agent working as a vice president at, “a top Wall Street financial institution.” Di explained that he couldn’t say more without making political trouble.

Di did tell his audience that one agent in particular was especially useful, and he goes on at some length about her. He describes her as an American who’s lived abroad for many years and is now a Chinese citizen, and this seems to baffle him a little bit. The Chinese government doesn’t allow dual citizenship. Why would they? Why would anyone? Di seems pleased that the U.S. government is foolish enough to allow it. He explains that this American agent, who lives at least part of the year in Beijing, helped the Chinese government with a propaganda operation in Washington in 2015, and he goes on to describe that in some detail.

The Obama administration was easy to manipulate, Di suggests. The Chinese had many friends among the Obama people. The problem came when Donald Trump was elected. After that, he says, everything changed.

DI DONGSHENG (translation): For the past 30 years, 40 years, we have been utilizing the core power of the United States … Since the 1970s, Wall Street had a very strong influence on the domestic and foreign affairs of the United States, so we had a channel to rely on. But the problem is that after 2008, the status of Wall Street has declined, and more importantly, after 2016, Wall Street can’t fix Trump. Why? It’s very awkward. Trump had a previous soft default issue with Wall Street, so there was a conflict between them. But I won’t go into details, I may not have enough time. So during the U.S.-China trade war they [Wall Street] tried to help. And I know that, my friends on the U.S. side told me that they tried to help, but they couldn’t do much.

Since the 1970s, Di said, Wall Street has had enormous influence over the way the United States government operates. The Chinese government, he says, has enormous influence on Wall Street, and that arrangement worked very well for a long time.

Then Donald Trump unexpectedly was elected in 2016 and Wall Street was infuriated. “Wall Street can’t fix Trump,” he said, but they tried. This gives the game away.

If you’re wondering why our political class has stood by and allowed the Chinese government to degrade this country and our way of life, stood by as the Chinese government has flooded the United States with deadly opioids that have killed hundreds of thousands of people, stood by as the Chinese government ripped off billions of dollars worth of intellectual property from our companies, there’s your answer.

Earlier this year, the chairman of Harvard’s chemistry department was arrested for taking $50,000 per month from the Communist Party of China in return for sending secrets and referring top scientists to Beijing. It barely rated as a scandal and you may not even be aware it happened. Why? Because so many are on the take.

In effect, Donald Trump was an impediment to this very lucrative arrangement, and for that reason, Di explains in the video, America’s most powerful elites — and he calls them that — got to work on electing a new president again:

DI DONSHENG (translation): But now we’re seeing Biden was elected [laughter]. The traditional elite, the political elite, the establishment, they’re very close to Wall Street. So you see that, right? Trump has been saying that Biden’s son has some sort of global foundation. Have you noticed that? Who helped him [Biden’s son] build the foundations? Got it? There are a lot of deals in all these. [laughter, applause]

Di notes, because the Chinese do pay close attention to what we say here, Donald Trump has complained about Hunter Biden and his ties to the Chinese government. So now you know why you weren’t allowed to talk about Hunter Biden’s laptop and why big business aligned as one to suppress that story: Because they were implicated in it.

Back in October, we interviewed a man called Tony Bobulinski, because no one else would. Tony Bobulinski was a business partner of the Bidens. Here’s what he told us about China:

BOBULINSKI: And in a document that you guys have in — I think it’s been provided to, you know, to the world — the Chinese referenced that because of their trust in the Biden family, that Chairman Ye and Director Zang are excited about moving forward in this. And in that document, they reference loaning $5 million to the ‘BD family’ … The ‘BD family’ is the Biden family.

CARLSON: What are the implications of this going forward if Joe Biden is elected president, which could very well happen? How does this constrain his ability to deal with China?

BOBULINSKI: Are you asking for my personal —

CARLSON: I am, I’m asking for your opinion as someone who’s worked with the Chinese.

BOBULINSKI: So I think Joe Biden and the Biden family are compromised.

“I think Joe Biden and the Biden family are compromised.”

It looks like Tony Bobulinski was right about that. And it looks like the Bidens are far from the only ones who have been compromised.

That is all.

Tuesday News Roundup: Emmet Sullivan is Still out of Control and Elon Musk Flees to Texas

I’m old enough to remember when a presidential pardon meant something. – But it obviously means nothing to corrupt federal judges like Emmet Sullivan, the presiding judge in the frame-up case against General Mike Flynn. Despite the full and complete pardon issued by President Donald Trump a couple of weeks ago, Sullivan has decided to keep his kangaroo court persecuting Flynn running, most likely in an attempt to force Sidney Powell to take time away from pursuing her challenges to the Democrat theft of the presidential election in various states.

On Monday, Sullivan issued orders authorizing the continued filing of Amicus Briefs in the case:

From the article at Gateway Pundit:

Several minute orders by Sullivan were posted to the court docket Monday allowing the filing of amicus briefs in the Flynn case that were filed earlier in the fall when the GOJ motioned to dismiss the case against Flynn. Among those allowed to file are House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jerrold Nadler (D-NY) joined by several committee members as well as former Watergate prosecutors. Sullivan refused to dismiss the case even with the charges dropped and has delayed ruling for months even though he was ordered by the D.C. Court of Appeals in a decision rejecting a writ of mandamus request filed by Flynn to “proceed with appropriate dispatch” on the motion to dismiss. That ruling came on August 31. Sullivan is now dragging the case out into December with no end in sight unless another mandamus case is filed by the DOJ or Flynn’s attorney Sidney Powell.

[End]

So, at this point we have a rogue judge who has ignored the outright dropping of this farce of a case by the Department of Justice and an outright presidential pardon. Should Sullivan ultimately attempt to enforce a prison sentence on General Flynn, by what real authority would any law enforcement officer with a conscience and allegiance to his oath of office act to enforce it?

If anything, Sullivan’s ongoing abuse of his office cry out for the need to devise a system of holding federal judges more accountable, because in today’s political environment, there is no such system that is actually viable.

You may all go to hell, and I will go to Texas.” – Sam Houston. – Yesterday I wrote about the plan by management at New York financial icon Goldman Sachs to move a big part of its business operations out of the high tax environment of Manhattan to the friendlier fields of Florida.

Today, we have reports that Elon Musk, who already moved his Tesla truck building plant to Texas, also quietly moved his charitable foundation to the Lone Star State earlier this year.

From the story at Business Insider:

Elon Musk moved his charitable foundation to Texas in October, months before the latest round of speculation around the Tesla CEO potentially leaving California.

Documents filed with the Texas Secretary of State’s office, first spotted by Bloomberg on Monday, show the non-profit merged its existing California entity with a newer one based in Austin, where Tesla is building a factory.

The filing is the latest in a string of signs pointing to Musk’s possible exit from California, which began with a tirade against the state’s coronavirus prevention measures this spring. Most recently, CNBC reported that Musk had told close associates he was planning a move to Texas.

The billionaire has already been spending plenty of time in the Lone Star State, where his other venture, SpaceX, has a launch pad. Beyond COVID-19 restrictions that forced Tesla to temporarily close its factory, California also has some of the highest income tax rates in the country. Musk, the highest paid CEO in the country last year, could stand to save a pretty penny by declaring himself of income tax-less Texas.

[End]

For all you Californians who keep voting for Democrats, this is an object lesson on the base problem with socialism: At some point, you run out of other people’s money to steal. Elon Musk, moving his money away of your state’s grasping politicians, is just the canary in a very big coal mine.

Also for you California natives planning to move to Texas along with Mr. Musk: Don’t come down here and continue to vote for Democrats, as so many of your fellow Californians have stupidly done. Our tolerance level for that bullshit is pretty much all used up.  Thanks.

AOC, Goya’s Employee of the Month. – This is epic:

You gotta love that guy. Buy Goya any chance you get.

Progress in Arizona and Michigan. – Court cases in the two states took steps forward on Monday with positive rulings by state-level judges.

In Arizona, the state’s Supreme Court has agreed to review a case filed by the Arizona GOP. From a story at JustTheNews:

Arizona’s top court has consented to review an appeal connected to the state Republican Party chair’s challenge of Arizona’s election result certification.

The state Republican Party Chair Kelli Ward lodged a notice of appeal on Friday subsequent to Maricopa County Superior Court Judge Steven Warner dismissing the suit.

Maricopa County had nearly 28,000 duplicate ballots and when 1,626 of those were reviewed, nine included an error regarding the duplication of the vote for president, Warner’s decision noted. The court had ordered that counsel could check 100 duplicate ballots and then Maricopa County provided even more than that for the review.

In a video posted on Monday, Ward said “we are asking to look at the 28,000 duplicated ballots that are in Maricopa County alone as well as all of the digitally adjudicated ballots. Now, if you look statewide, because we’d love to look at those as well, there are well over 100,000 ballots that could be affected and that is more than enough to swing this election.”

[End]

Cool.

Meanwhile, in Michigan, a state district judge granted a resident with legal standing the right to perform a forensic audit of Dominion Systems machines and software in Antrim County. From a story at UncoverDC:

Central Lake resident, William Bailey filed a complaint on Nov. 23, arguing that there was election fraud in Antrim County, along with a violation of the “purity of election clause” and requested access to the county’s 22 precinct tabulators, thumb drives, software, and the clerk’s “master tabulator.” Bailey became suspicious when a review of election results turned up 6,000 votes that had been incorrectly attributed to candidate Joe Biden. His original complaint stated the following: “Constitutional right to accuracy and integrity of elections; violation of the purity of elections clause; election fraud; common law election fraud; equal protection violation; statutory election fraud violations.”

He is represented by Matthew S. DePerno, of Portage, Michigan. The lawsuit is separate from the Trump team lawsuit but the results will be accessible by the Trump lawyers. DePerno also plans to file a lawsuit against the State of Michigan for the 161-page contract they signed in 2017 with DVS because the state signed off on the contract knowing it would not be allowed to look under the hood of the machines and their software—something DePerno contends is unconstitutional.

[End]

While these small movements in the process are nice, it should be noted that the Electoral College meets in 6 days to formally decide the election.

Time is growing short and a big win at the highest level is much needed.

That is all.

Texas AG Paxton and Sen. Cruz Step Up to Fight Democrat Election Fraud

God Bless Texas for sending this man to Washington. – He is likely the least popular senator among his colleagues in the Senate, and there is a good reason why that is the case. That reason centers around the fact that Texas Senator Ted Cruz is never shy about challenging the status quo, or about upsetting the Senate’s country club atmosphere.

Cruz is a disruptor in the Senate, the uninvited guest to the wedding party who spikes the punch, turns over the bridal cake table or leaps in front of the gathered spinsters to catch the garter. He’s Vince Vaughn in “The Wedding Crashers” alongside Rand Paul playing the Owen Wilson part.

On Monday, Senator Cruz did it again, no doubt eliciting a heavy round of tsk tsks from the Susan Collins’s and Mitt Romneys of the world by tweeting that he’d be more than happy to present oral arguments to the Supreme Court in the Pennsylvania election case should the court decide to hear the case:

Cruz went on to say the following in three subsequent tweets:

Because of the importance of the legal issues presented, I’ve publicly urged #SCOTUS to hear the case brought by Congressman Mike Kelly, congressional candidate Sean Parnell & state rep. candidate Wanda Logan challenging the constitutionality of the POTUS election results in PA.

Petitioners’ legal team has asked me whether I would be willing to argue the case before #SCOTUS, if the Court grants certiorari. I have agreed, and told them that, if the Court takes the appeal, I will stand ready to present the oral argument.

As I said last week, the bitter division and acrimony we see across the Nation needs resolution. I believe #SCOTUS has a responsibility to the American People to ensure, within its powers, that we are following the law and following the Constitution.

[End]

For those who are not aware, Cruz has a strong history of arguing cases before the Supreme Court from his time serving as Deputy Attorney General in Texas. No one has any idea if the court will agree to hear this case or how it would rule if it does, but God Bless Senator Cruz for being willing to stand up while most of his cowardly colleagues are hiding in closets in desperate efforts to avoid taking questions from the press.

To think we almost lost this guy to Beto O’Rourke. Holy crap.

Well, this is a novel approach, at least. – Speaking of the Texas Attorney General’s office, current Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton is using the office to join the crowded field of lawyers challenging the results of the November presidential election.  He is taking a novel approach, especially when one considers that Donald Trump easily defeated China Joe Potato Head Biden in the Lone Star State, an outcome no one is challenging.

Per former Texas Ranger Roscoe Davis, Paxton filed a petition directly to the U.S. Supreme Court late last night, claiming that this direct appeal to the USSC is valid due to its standing as the original court of jurisdiction in disputes between states. Paxton’s reasoning, if Davis is accurately summarizing the case, is that the states of Georgia, Wisconsin, Michigan and Pennsylvania violated the Electors Clause of the Constitution and the 12th Amendment by implementing invalid changes to voting rules and procedures via the courts or executive orders. This would make sense to any common sense reading of the Electors Clause, since it gives sole authority to son the subject:

The end around case has been put together by TX AG Ken Paxton suing GA, MI, WI, and PA at SCOTUS. Bringing this case across multiple jurisdictions gives it a straight lane to the SCOTUS.

This happened just before midnight tonight, will post documents soon.

Texas approached the Supreme Court directly because Article III provides that it is the court of first impression on subjects where it has original jurisdiction, such as disputes between two or more states, this is hard tactics.

The Great State of Texas argues that these states violated the Electors Clause of the Constitution because they made changes to voting rules and procedures through the courts or through executive actions, but not through the state legislatures.

These non-legislative changes to the Defendant States’ election laws facilitated the casting and counting of ballots in violation of state law, which, in turn, violated the Electors Clause of Article II, Section 1, Clause 2 of the U.S. Constitution.

Additionally, Texas argues that there were differences in voting rules and procedures in different counties within the states, violating the Constitution’s Equal Protection Clause. Bush v. Gore 2000.

Finally, Texas argues that there were “voting irregularities” in these states as a result of these changes.

Texas is asking the Supreme Court to order the states to allow their legislatures to appoint their electors. If this is successful it opens the door for the next step.

The genius behind this is they don’t have to prove fraud, there’s no doubt there are “election irregularities” all that has to be proven is that they changed election laws by executive order and not by legislation as required by the US Constitution. Article II, Section 1 Clause 2.

All these Governors and Sec of States making these changes out in the open make the case pretty clear.

The Defense is going to claim it was a COVID Pandemic, mark my words, it’s all they got, it was their excuse for everything in every state.

Article II, Section 1, Clause 2 is really clear and there is no Pandemic clause.

Now when they start screaming Pandemic Crisis, all the libs that went out for haircuts and Napa Valley Dinners, and seen all over the media, claiming privilege, are screwed.

If you can go to the store, go out to eat, go get your hair done, do all the things the political elite were doing, while claiming lockdown and mask mandates, then you can get out and vote, no need for special circumstances!

Game set match.

The relief being sought has not only precedent (Election of 1836) it has constitutional verbage to back it up.

Not asking for the SCOTUS to throw out ballots, just follow the Constitution and the 12th Amendment of a Contingent Election.

[End]

All you folks in Georgia might want to pay attention to steps these Texas officials are willing to take to try to reverse what is a clearly fraudulent election result in your own state, and contrast it to the ongoing coverup being desperately implemented by your own Governor, Brian Kemp, and Sec. State Brad Raffensperger.

It is a very stark contrast indeed.

God Bless Texas.

The Kraken Gets Crushed and Goldman Sachs Escapes From New York

Sidney Powell  and her vaunted “Kraken” election fraud lawsuits have now been summarily dismissed by federal judges in not one, but two different states: Georgia and Michigan. Making matters worse for the bombastic attorney, the dismissals have come in bipartisan fashion, first from an Obama-appointed judge in Michigan and then from a George W. Bush appointee in Georgia. Really not a good outcome or look at all for Powell, who has deployed the most inflammatory rhetoric imaginable around her challenges to the obvious Democrat fraud that took place around the November 3 elections.

Here’s an excerpt from a Detroit Free Press story on the Michigan dismissal:

A Michigan federal judge has ruled against a sweeping legal bid to overturn election results in the state, determining the lawsuit brought by an ally of President Donald Trump was riddled with “theories, conjecture and speculation” but little evidence of wrongdoing.

U.S. District Judge Linda V. Parker ruled against a request from Sidney Powell — an attorney disavowed by the Trump campaign who still champions its causes — to force the state to award its electoral votes to Trump despite President-elect Joe Biden winning the state.

“In fact, this lawsuit seems to be less about achieving the relief Plaintiffs seek — as much of that relief is beyond the power of this Court — and more about the impact of their allegations on People’s faith in the democratic process and their trust in our government,” reads a portion of the 36-page opinion.

“Plaintiffs ask this Court to ignore the orderly statutory scheme established to challenge elections and to ignore the will of millions of voters. This the Court cannot, and will not, do. The people have spoken.”

Ouch.

Now, here’s an excerpt from an 11Alive.com story about the Georgia decision:

ATLANTA — UPDATE: Judge Timothy Batten in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Georgia has dismissed the lawsuit.

A similar suit in Michigan was also dismissed this morning.

It’s likely Powell will appeal to the 11th Circuit Court of Appeals in Atlanta, which itself over the weekend dismissed a similar suit brought by the attorney Lin Wood.

The sprawling suit at its core alleges a wide-ranging conspiracy perpetrated by international and domestic actors to use Dominion Voting Systems, the company that makes the voting machines for Georgia and a number of other states, to rig the election for Joe Biden, in large part by switching votes from President Trump to Biden.

Georgia’s hand-count audit of all 5 million of Georgia’s paper votes (both those printed out by the Dominion machines, which were reviewed by voters, and those submitted by mail) confirmed the original machine count, and a machine recount has so far confirmed those two previous counts, making it highly implausible the results were manipulated at any point.

Powell and those who have given testimony for her have instead argued that in Georgia, fraudulent ballots were inserted into the system and the hand-count was conducted in a manner to deliberately overlook them. They have not offered direct material evidence of this, instead at a Georgia Senate hearing last week presenting data analysis and accounts of various individuals who served as poll workers or observers during the election and audit.

[End]

Ms. Powell, for whom I continue to have great respect, will no doubt appeal both cases up the chain until she can get one or both heard before the U.S. Supreme Court. But in doing so, she and her cohort Lin Wood would be well-advised to spend less time doing media interviews and staging pep rallies and more time compiling actual proof of their claims. Doing that would be a real service to everyone.

Meanwhile, Business Insider has a story today indicating that Goldman Sachs management may have finally had enough of Bill De Blasio’s and Andrew Cuomo’s high taxes and general bullshit and is preparing to move its asset management operations to Florida.

Here’s an excerpt from that wonderful story:

Goldman Sachs, an icon of New York finance headquartered in a downtown Manhattan skyscraper a short walk from Wall Street, is considering shifting its asset management operations to Florida, according to a new report.

Company executives have looked at possible South Florida office space near Miami, covering areas like Palm Beach County and Fort Lauderdale, people with knowledge of the matter told Bloomberg News.

If the plans pan out, the bank would join other New York-based financial services firms in making similar moves out of the state and to cheaper states and markets as the coronavirus pandemic spurred a wave of remote work.

Goldman Sachs has been speaking with local Florida officials and considering the lower taxes there, per the report. While Bloomberg reported that it is unclear how many people could locate there, staff would include a mix of back-office staff and investment professionals, according to two of the people Bloomberg spoke with.

[End]

Hey, anything bad happening to the despicable creeps who run New York is great for the rest of the country.

Just a bit of good news on an otherwise gloomy day.

That is all.

The Root Causes of Pearl Harbor Serve as Important Lessons for America Today

Guest Piece by Gregg Updike

Remembering Pearl Harbor – Part two, The Cause

NOTE From the Author: On this date last year, I wrote a Lengthy comment on what was the long-term legacy of the December 7, 1941 Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor.  David Blackmon contacted me via email and offered to post it as a standalone article giving attribution to me.  He posted it the next day with his appropriate title “Yalta and Potsdam: Days That Still Live in Infamy”.  That title was and is particularly appropriate because the Pearl Harbor attack was the galvanizing event which thrust the United States into World War II and created the Yalta and Potsdam foreign policy giveaways, the legacy of which still create most of the foreign policy problems America faces today.

Here is my next installment on Pearl Harbor which describes why and how it happened:

The origins of the Pearl Harbor attack can be traced back to 1853 when the United States essentially forced a feudal Japan to open trade via Commodore Matthew Perry’s squadron of armed ships.  Japan, at that time was very much like much of Europe was centuries before with warlords using the obsolete sword as the primary weapon of war duking it out among their various tribes with little central control.  This forced Japan out of some 250 years of self-imposed isolation from the rest of the world and they opened one port for international trade.  Other nations, including Russia soon followed trading with Japan.

Japan’s leadership saw how far they were behind in weaponry and understood they were vulnerable to becoming a dominated colony.  Unlike China and the Philippines and even America’s Native Americans they decided it was far better off to unite and be able to defend their homeland rather than be subjugated under another nation’s rule.

Of the seven major powers in World War II, only England was a mature nation with centuries of consistent governance.  It took until the middle 1800s for America (1865 and many years after to recover from the Civil War), Japan (1868), and Italy and Germany to become unified nations.  The ruling dynasties of Russia and China had collapsed by 1917 and the 1920s, respectively.  Japan, once unified, took great pains to ‘catch up’ with western technology and essentially armed itself to the teeth to make it very costly for any power to colonize them.  That coupled with their islands having virtually no exploitable resources ensured their independence on the world stage.

Throughout this period England had the most powerful navy and it only made sense that Japan would emulate it and in fact formed an alliance and a trading partnership with England.  Originally warships and other weapons were imported, studied and copied and once their industrial base became developed, they built their own.  England and other European Powers were happy to have another customer for its military accoutrements and with the purchaser on the other side of Asia they did not feel threatened.  This was also the time when wooden sailing ships were being replaced by steel and coal power and other modern technologies from which Japan benefitted greatly.

Within twenty-seven years Japan embarked on being a colonial power and fought their first war with China where they gained Formosa (Taiwan) at little cost.  Ten years later (1904-5), seeing the building of the Russian Trans-Siberian Railroad as a threat, they launched a sneak attack on Russia and opened their second conflict without a formal declaration of war against a neighbor.  They were unbelievably successful and defeated what was considered a first-class western power and navy; the world took notice.

Troubles with America began brewing at about this time and would fester for the next four decades until that fateful “Day of Infamy”.  The highlights are:

Late 1800s, America acquired the Philippines which was viewed as a threat

  1. Theodore Roosevelt intervened in the Russo-Japanese War and was and forced the Treaty of Portsmouth on Japan which halted the war, but was seen as another unwelcome intervention. The peace deal greatly benefitted Japan at the time because they were still very weak economically and even winning was bankrupting them.
  2. As an ally of England Japan defeated Germany in 1918 and gained many German colonies in the central Pacific at little cost by being on the right side.
  3. In 1921-2, the United States forced a naval arms limitation treaty on the Japanese which ultimately saved Japan from going broke and America from embarking on an expensive arms race.  Japan and America were the only two countries not severely impacted by World War I and the other naval powers had no ability to engage in such a race.  Japan wanted naval parity but was forced to accept second rate naval status; they greatly resented being limited to building 60% of what the United States and Great Brittan could.
  4. America, through its diplomacy, forced a fracturing of the Anglo-Japan trade and arms alliance further exacerbating the deteriorating relations. However, England still sent military equipment and a training – most notably in naval aviation – commission to Japan.  America’s purpose was to prevent Japan and England ganging up on the US Navy from the Atlantic and Pacific in a continued alliance – we still were not all that friendly with England post World War I.
  5. America passed very restrictive immigration laws in the 1920s severely limiting Japanese immigration, and later during the Depression enacted trade tariffs which destroyed Japanese exports to the United States.
  6. America passed very restrictive immigration laws in the 1920s severely limiting Japanese immigration, and later during the Depression enacted trade tariffs which destroyed Japanese exports to the United States.

While Japan was embracing capitalism and modern ways, their centuries old traditions were always in the forefront especially regarding the tradition of the emperor and racial purity.  When the worldwide Depression hit, Japan was among the hardest hit.  The militant wing of the military gradually took over and much of the nominal civilian control of their government was run by assignation throughout the thirties.  The cause of much of this upheaval was the near total autonomy granted to the army and navy and the perceived failing of western capitalism as an economic system.  In short, during the 1930s Tokyo could not control the Army and the Army could not control its mid-level officers when they were stationed next to Mongolia, China and the USSR.

These hotheads provoked border clashes with all three nations.  In 1930, another naval arms treaty was forced upon Japan which was even more unpopular with its hawks in the navy.  In 1931 army officers precipitated the Manchuria ‘incident’.  The result was a large territorial gain with some resources but international condemnation.  Ultimately this led to Japan walking out on the worthless League of Nations when they were condemned by the body in 1934.  At around this time Japan also quit the naval treaty restrictions as of 1936.  Japan was rapidly becoming a rogue nation and was seen as a regional bully.  With the depression deepening, the hotheads in the military never being sanctioned by their superiors and gaining ever more power, Japan saw its destiny as being the leader of the Orient, they had their own version of lebensraum (living space), which was dubbed “The Greater East Asia Co-Prosperity Sphere” with the ultimate goal of driving out the European colonial powers.

In 1937 another boarder ‘incident’ was provoked, this time with China which was embroiled in its own civil war and was always seen as being weak since the collapse of its running dynasty decades earlier.  This conflict resulted in an eight-year quagmire with no victory, great losses, and a near premature war with the United States.  Only a massive diplomatic apology for sinking a US Navy gunboat, the Panay, averted open conflict.

Soon thereafter, there was another boarder clash – this time with the USSR – and the Japanese Army got its nose bloodied and quickly sued for peace and later signed a long-term non-aggression pact with Stalin.  This ‘incident’, as Japan liked to call their undeclared wars was a disaster for her because it forced the permanent deployment of over half its army to defend against a feared USSR attack and paralyzed their military doctrine which effectively reduced their ability to fight America in the Pacific.

Japan soon thereafter allied with Germany and Italy, by formally joining the Axis.  Further incursions into China caused the United States to begin trade embargoes on vital resources.  When Japan’s Army bullied its way into French Indochina (Vietnam) in July of 1941 to gain a key staging point, Roosevelt got the world to cut off all oil supply to Japan.  This was intolerable and Japan was going to have to either accede to America’s demands which included leaving ALL of China in order to get the oil and other resource trade resumed or fight.  Even without the embargo Japan was going to default on foreign trade by 1942.  The only way to stave off economic disaster was territorial expansion and take the resources it needed to achieve hegemony and self-sufficiency.  Being in a similar circumstance as Germany in 1938, they followed Hitler’s route to war and national destruction.

Japan’s initial targets were England’s Malaysia, Singapore and Burma and the Netherlands’ (Dutch) East Indies in order for it to survive as an independent nation and not a colony under the Allies’ thumb.  As events transpired, France had fallen which allowed for the bloodless grab of their Indochina colony which gave them a vital operation base for future expansion.  The Netherlands likewise fell to Hitler and their oil producing islands were ripe for conquest.  England was known to be extremely weak in Asia and was fighting for its very existence, so her prized colonies were also vulnerable. Furthermore, in late 1941 the USSR was on the brink of collapse and not a threat at that time.   All these ambitions could have been successfully realized at this time except for one major problem.

That problem was the United States and its Philippine possession which laid astride the main line of advance to the southern resource areas that Japan needed.  Earlier in 1941 the US Navy was permanently stationed at Pearl Harbor from the US west coast which represented a major threat that could not be ignored.  Japan’s plans of conquest would likely succeed only if America remained neutral.   However, since America was already seen for decades as a probable future belligerent, it had to be incorporated into the grand scheme.  And finally, one other event occurred which forced the Pearl Harbor attack decision: After the fall of France, America embarked upon a massive naval building program that would be realized in 1943-44.

In 1941 Japan’s Navy was equal to or held numerical superiority over the US Pacific Fleet, however it would be dwarfed by the US Navy in three years AND be out of oil.  The window of opportunity and time to strike was at the end of 1941 when American strength and the other allies were at their nadir.  The strategic situation was never going to be better and the economic and military dynamic was only going to deteriorate.  By mid-1941, Japan had found itself truly between a rock and a hard place, but it was a rock and a hard place largely of its own making.

The three thousand plus mile sneak attack on Pearl Harbor was extremely contrary to Japan’s Naval doctrine which was basically defensive in nature and designed to be fought within a thousand or so miles of their home Islands.  The main reason Pearl Harbor was attacked was to disable the US Pacific Fleet (like they did with Russia in 1904) to gain a six month breathing space whereby Japan could conquer the southern islands, get their resources flowing and capture the Philippines without interference form the (on paper) powerful US Pacific Fleet.  In that regard she succeeded brilliantly with their tactical raid which should have been strategic attack.  In the end it was a strategic blunder because it galvanized a lethargic America like nothing else could have and spelled Japan’s doom.

In closing, America also bears some of the blame in its clumsy handling of Japan in the forty years prior to the Pearl Harbor attack, and because it began rebuilding its military and navy far too late to thwart Japan’s imperialist ambitions.  Had the mobilization and new construction begun when Japan quit the limitation treaties, invaded China, attacked the USSR, when Germany attacked Poland, or when Japan joined the Axis, it would most likely have persuaded its leaders that a war with the United States was a no-win proposition under any circumstances.  Reagan’s doctrine of “Peace Through Strength” was a true then as it was in the 1980s and is true today.  A powerful unassailable United States would probably have kept Japan at bay and it likely would have forced them to play nice on the international stage.

A perceived weak United States always emboldens mischief from nations controlled by tyrants.

That is all.
