Wednesday News Roundup: Fauci Moves the COVID Goal Posts One More Time

Today’s Short-Term Memory Reminder -Donald Trump has been out of the White House for 3 weeks now, and the news cycle is still all about him.

Trump Derangement Syndrome is a very, very real thing.

God Bless Texas. – For the 19th straight year, Texas ranks #1 among all states in export value, chalking up $279 billion during 2020. California comes in a distant second with about $155 billion for the year. If Texas were an independent country as it was intended to be, it would rank 20th among all nations on earth.

No photo description available.

Who knows? If the Democrats keep moving the country into fascist socialism, Texas might end up becoming an independent nation again in the near future.

Stranger things have happened.

Just one more reason to detest the Dallas Mavericks specifically and the NBA in general. – Most readers here stopped watching NBA basketball years ago, but now the owner of the Dallas Mavericks has handed all you hangers-on one more reason to break the basketball habit: He has banned the National Anthem of the United States of America from being played at his arena before home games.

I swear I don’t make this stuff up:

From the story at DailyWire:

At the direction of owner Mark Cuban, the NBA’s Dallas Mavericks have stopped playing the national anthem before home games this season and do not intend to play it for home games moving forward.

As noted by Tim Cato, who broke the story at The Athletic on Monday evening, the anthem-snub by the Mavericks is “the first instance we know of a pro sports team striking the U.S. anthem from the pre-game.”

Cuban confirmed to Cato that he was the one who decided the Mavs should pull the anthem.

“None of 13 preseason and regular-season games played at the American Airlines Center this season have featured the anthem before the game, including Monday’s game against the Minnesota Timberwolves, the first played this season with a limited amount of fans in attendance,” Cato reported Monday. “The Mavericks did not publicize the anthem’s removal, and The Athletic was the first media organization to reach out about the change after noticing its absence on Monday. Multiple team employees described only noticing the anthem’s removal on their own, as it was also not announced or explained internally.”

As the nation has become increasingly divided, traditionally unifying acts of patriotism, like standing for the national anthem, have become partisan. The anthem controversy was first sparked in 2016, when then-NFL quarterback Colin Kaepernick politicized “The Star-Spangled Banner” when he refused to stand because, according to Kaepernick, America “oppresses” minorities and allows its cops to “murder” innocent people of color.

If you’re still watching NBA basketball, you seriously should consider finding better things to do with your time, like reading, playing games with your kids, or taking that whining dog out for a second walk in the evenings. You’ll be a happier person for having done so.

Well of course he did. – Hey, it turns out that China Joe Biden’s pick to be our next CIA chief, William Burns, has led a “think tank” that has raked in millions of dollars in contributions from – you guessed it – CHINA in recent years.

No kidding:

Holy crap. From the story at the Daily Caller:

William J. Burns, who is President Joe Biden’s nominee for director of the CIA, is president of a think tank that has received up to $2 million from a Chinese businessman as well as from a think tank with close ties to the Chinese Communist Party.

As president of the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace, Burns also invited nearly a dozen congressional staffers to attend a junket to China, where they met with a communist party operative and a president of a Chinese front group.

Burns, who was paid $540,580 last year as president of Carnegie, will appear before the Senate Intelligence Committee for a confirmation hearing likely to be held this month. He has been president of Carnegie since March 2015.

During Burns’ tenure at Carnegie, a businessman named Zhang Yichen joined the think tank’s board of trustees.

“We are very fortunate to have Zhang Yichen on our board,” Burns, a former deputy secretary of state, said in a statement in October 2016. “I look forward to working with him to make Carnegie an even finer institution.”

Zhang, the CEO of CITIC Consulting, a China-based investment firm, donated between $500,000 and $999,999 to Carnegie from July 1, 2017, through June 30, 2018, according to Carnegie’s website. He gave between $250,000 and $549,999 in the 2020 fiscal year, according to Carnegie’s 2020 annual report.

Zhang is a member of two organizations linked to the Chinese Communist Party, according to his biography at CITIC Capital: the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) and the Center for China and Globalization.

You seriously just could never make this stuff up, folks. Don’t even try.

The Little Menace To Society moves the goal posts one more time. – Anthony Fauci was in the news again on Tuesday, performing his duty as the chief propagandist for the COVID-based fascist/socialist takeover of the United States. In an appearance with Bret Baier on Fox News’ “Special Report,” Fauci moved the goal posts down the field again related to how long Americans must keep wearing their masks in public once again.

The new goal? When the viral gift from China “is not a threat at all.”

“That will really be dependent upon how we get the level of virus in the community down,” Fauci responded. “If we can get — and I have used this as an estimate, it’s not definitive — but  if we can get 70 to 85 percent of the population vaccinated, and get to what we would hope would be to a degree of herd immunity which really is an umbrella or a veil of protection against the community, where the level of virus is so low it’s not a threat at all, then at that point, you can start thinking in terms of not having to have uniform wearing of masks.”

Wait, what?

It is vitally important that everyone fully understand what Fauci is saying here, because what he is really saying is that you are going to be wearing your masks in public literally forever.

This is a flu-like virus, not smallpox, not polio, not the measles. As a flu-like virus, it is not ever going to be completely eradicated. It is going to be an ongoing “threat” to our health from now on. Just as we are all encouraged by the government to take our annual shots to help ward off the seasonal flu, we now face a future of being urged to take COVID shots each and every year.

It has been conclusively proven that COVID’s rate of mortality is no higher than that of the common seasonal flu, yet Fauci is now declaring that we as a country will be forced by the government to treat it completely differently in order to continue to justify the draconian lockdowns and social distancing and mask-wearing that have destroyed the greatest economy in U.S. history and threaten to destroy the very fabric of our society.

Since last March, I have warned readers that this was where Fauci always wanted to take us, which is why I tagged him at that time as a menace to our society. Over the last 11 months, Fauci has consistently shifted the goal posts for dealing with this virus, always in a way that helps justify all of the brutish acts of Democrat governors – and some stupid GOP governors as well – around the country.

Getting to this specific place has always been Fauci’s goal from Day One. And now he has gotten us there, with a human sock puppet in the White House supporting him all the way.

So, stock up on those masks, folks, because you’re going to be wearing them for at least the next four years. Anthony Fauci is going to make damn sure of that.

That is all.

Today’s news moves at a faster pace than ever before. is the only real conservative alternative to Drudge. It’s the tool I use to help keep up with all the day’s events, and it should be your tool, too.

The democrats think they can pin whether or not to continue to try to command us to wear masks by making ” vaccination noncompliant citizens their scapegoats.

Everyone knows they’ve cornered themselves. Everyone also knows they aren’t, no matter what they try, going to get “vaccination compliance” out of the vast majority of citizens of this nation.

I won’t be guilt tripped into vaccinations and neither should you, reader.

Every American

Where is Lee Harvey Oswald when we need him?

S. Fry

After a year of Covid, I am starting to think it is more deadly than the flu. I haven’t had anyone I know die from the seasonal flu since I was a kid in the 70’s. I personally know 5 people that have died of/with Covid. That at least makes my antenna go up.

Sorry Fry, in point of medical fact, no one has ever died from AIDS (The Disease caused by Human Immune Virus), just as no one has ever died from COVID-19 (The disease caused by the Wuhan coronavirus) – In ever death, the COD (cause of death) was pneumonia, cardiac arrest, pulmonary failure, etc… CONTRIBUTING factor: AIDS, COVID-19….

Warren Lockaby

Well, according to the CDC and other “official sources” how many flu deaths have been recorded in the past year? How about heart failure? Cancer? And, how do those stats stack up against the previous 10 years? I’ve been losing friends and family at an alarming rate for the past 3 years but it’s been people close to my age or older, and none of us are spring chickens. I’ve personally managed to beat – so far – lung cancer and throat cancer, and a bout with pneumonia in that time. The older we get, the older our close acquaintances get, and nobody gets outta here alive, so why worry about it?

Joe Knecht

Surprised Fauci is not the subject of a class action lawsuit. He should be publicly caned and deported to China.

John Doe

He may as well move the goal post up his azz because I will NEVER listen to or abide by anything this little communist leprechaun has to say about anything!

Ben Colder

The mask thing is really our star of David can’t leave home without it and I am really getting tired of this BS.Every time Falsely opens his pie hole people fall all over them selves to do what this liar says to hell with him the two faced little piss ant.It looks like everyone in Creepy Joe and the Ho administration is on the pay role of the Chinese communists and are very likely members of the communist party themselves we all know Ma Harris is a communist .Creepy Joe and the Ho have done more damage to this country in less than a month than Odumbo did in eight years.I really am starting to think that if we do not revolt it will all be over in four years .

Sharon Campbell

Fauci has zero credibility with informed Americans. He & his buddy, Bill Gates both are Deep State & have messiah complex.

So it’s kind of an SSDD (same shit, different day) scenario in regards to the little twerp that should have had a mud-hole stomped in his ass long ago. As for basketball, the last time I ever watched was when Jordan ruled the courts, so no major loss there. And you’re right, I do have better things to do with my time…..I’ve got a grounding issue in one of my electric guitars, and I’ve gotta get my semi-arthritic hands to nail the main riff to AC/DC’s Riff Raff. Ya’ll have a good day. ✌️

Best of luck with the riff, JB. I did the same with Metallica’s, ‘Call of Ktulu’. Some damned hard fingering positions and riffs to complete.

My problem, other than stiffness, is the fact that I cut the end off the index finger (to the joint right below the finfernail) of my fret hand in a work accident years back. So things are obviously a little more difficult for me. Needless to say that Tony Iommi and Django Reindhart are big heroes to me. Keep shredding, MJ 🤘

The Texas Hammer

I don’t wear a mask in my part of Texas and don’t intend to anytime in the future. Fauci can suck it! If the store tells me I can’t shop there without a mask, I go somewhere else if possible, if not, I put the mask on half-assed and dare them to correct me. I refuse to be part of this herd of sheep!

I hear ya. I’ve gone and made a 2-sided business card to hand to the maskholes that ask about the whereabouts of my mask…
