A Note to Readers/Commenters

Just wanted to let you all know that we will be installing a plug-in overnight that should resolve the issues we’ve experienced recently with the Comments section. It should be a seamless transition that will not cause you any issues, or result in your having to re-register and establish your user name again.

With any luck, the only thing you’ll notice is faster performance and response time.

That is all.

Today’s news moves at a faster pace than ever before. Whatfinger.com is the only real conservative alternative to Drudge. It’s the tool I use to help keep up with all the day’s events, and it should be your tool, too.

Ok, I’m getting it, my old avatar appears after I post the comments, the one on the left is apparently a generic one.

As Emily Latella from SNL would say “Never Mind”.

TEST

Yes, still some glitches.

The join the conversation box is at the top of the comments meaning it will post at the top of the comments and thus not be in contextual order. I.E. Oldest to newest as it was before. If this is the new format I guess that is fine, I just need to get used to it.

I do like the up and down vote option, thanks.

Two articles ago, my reply to Marty’s long comment went through seamlessly. My name and email required info was populated. I noticed my symbol (avatar) changed – no big deal.

Then in the next article (the last one) my reply to marine6 could only be posted at the top of all the comments, again something to get used to, but in that instance the reply function did not work.

And again I had to re-enter my name and email contact info as also required for this comment, but it did post immediately.

THIS TIME MY NAME AND EMAIL IS POPULATED

Air needs adjustment… my reply to Jimmy didn’t show, the DB logo did. Plus my comment hasm’t appeared. This is my second try AND… with all cookies deleted, refreshed, ad blockers disabled.

Watch out for the bump…

So far, faster. But I have a suspicion that the sidebar “community comments” section, listing the most recent commenters, are still having problems.

New tires on the bike, gotta try ’em out!

Thanks, Dave! Your constant effort to provide us with great insight and opinion, as well as provide us all with a troll free forum is deeply appreciated.
