Hilarious: Princeton President Brings a DOE Investigation Down on His Own School

This story is almost too good to be true. The federal Department of Education notified Princeton University today that it was placing the school under a civil rights-related investigation. The hilarious reason for the investigation is due to virtue-signaling remarks made during the Democrat-sponsored summer of rioting by the University’s own President.

I kid you not.

As reported by the Washington Examiner today, Princeton President Christopher L. Eisgruber published an open letter earlier this month claiming that “[r]acism and the damage it does to people of color persist at Princeton” and that “racist assumptions” are “embedded in structures of the University itself.”

The DOE has responded with a letter to Princeton – obtained by the Examiner – that informs the school that Eisgruber’s remarks raise concerns over the fact that Princeton has been receiving tens of millions of dollars of federal funds in violation of Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, which declares that “no person in the United States shall, on the ground of race, color, or national origin, be excluded from participation in, be denied the benefits of, or be subjected to discrimination under any program or activity receiving Federal financial assistance.”

The Examiner’s story quotes the following text from the DOE letter:

“Based on its admitted racism, the U.S. Department of Education (“Department”) is concerned Princeton’s nondiscrimination and equal opportunity assurances in its Program Participation Agreements from at least 2013 to the present may have been false,” the letter reads. “The Department is further concerned Princeton perhaps knew, or should have known, these assurances were false at the time they were made. Finally, the Department is further concerned Princeton’s many nondiscrimination and equal opportunity claims to students, parents, and consumers in the market for education certificates may have been false, misleading, and actionable substantial misrepresentations in violation of 20 U.S.C. § 1094(c)(3)(B) and 34 CFR 668.71(c). Therefore, the Department’s Office of Postsecondary Education, in consultation with the Department’s Office of the General Counsel, is opening this investigation.”

What the Department seeks to obtain from its investigation is what evidence Princeton used in its determination that the university is racist, including all the records regarding Eisgruber’s letter and a “spreadsheet identifying each person who has, on the ground of race, color, or national origin, been excluded from participation in, been denied the benefits of, or been subjected to discrimination under any program or activity receiving Federal financial assistance as a result of the Princeton racism or ‘damage’ referenced in the President’s Letter.” Eisgruber and a “designated corporate representative” must sit for interviews under oath, and Princeton must also respond to written questions regarding the matter.

[End]

Is that awesome or what? I just can’t stop laughing about this wonderful story. Seriously, this is me, laughing:

Far from being a political persecution of Princeton, this is in fact the DOE doing its damn job, given that the Department has a statutory obligation under the nation’s civil rights laws to investigate any legitimate allegations that any school that receives federal funding is guilty of discrimination against minorities, especially the sytemic, “embedded” kind that the school’s own President alleges it is guilty of.

You just could never, never, never, ever make this stuff up, folks.

That is all.

I’m not so sure Princeton has anything to worry about if one considers the ongoing but fruitless investigation of the FBI insurrectionists. Well…it bares evidentiary fruit every day…just no indictments. Should have reaped a bushel or two by now!

The only “systemic” or “institutionalized racism” is in affirmative action in lowered SAT standards for acceptance and other institutionalized discrimination for non-whites and non-Asians.

Great to raised upon one’s own petard. Couldn’t happen to a more deserving group. BTW, why is an Ivy League University with probably billions of assets, getting federal government (and probably state) money, at least in terms of student financing?

I grew up ten miles from Princeton, NJ and my father called the small town (and the surrounding Princeton Township) the largest unfenced loony bin in the world back in the sixties . That may have been true then, but almost any town hosting a college or university today can qualify for the same honor.

Just curious? How can Hillsboro function and give free tutorials to anyone WITHOUT government money?

OMG how stupid can university president’s be LOL. apparently this stupid. classic, just classic liberal stupidity. I hope they investigate Princeton’s ass off.

There is a large enough font for my lmao so just lamo inifnity.

His virtue signalling is going to cost the university millions in adminstrative labor to cull up the proof or lack there of and the attorney fees to defend it and his despicable lies.

Now for all the rest of them that have said something similar or are using this wave of blm bs to start discrimination and segeregation programs or classes on their campuses.

Silas

isn’t *sigh*

Eventually, Title IX will be re-examined too – another story, another day. But all those colleges and universities determined to conspire to eliminate or dismantle the rights of students to not self-incriminate, to be able to face their accusers…? To not be held accountable for imagined crimes on the basis of race or sex?

You could start with Duke 2006 and work forward, including the investigating the UVA hoax and the hoaxer,

“Finally, the Department is further concerned Princeton’s many nondiscrimination and equal opportunity claims to students, parents, and consumers in the market for education certificates may have been false, misleading, and actionable substantial misrepresentations in violation of 20 U.S.C. § 1094(c)(3)(B) and 34 CFR 668.71(c).”

Language sounds identical to the charges against Steve Bannon and Brian Kolfage. Looks like these Communists aren’t as smart as they think they are. How about any and all corporations that are conducting the race training (admitting prior racism) that have government contracts who previously stated that they followed federal guidelines. Pandora’s box may be cracking open.

Karma! Love it!
