Friday News Roundup: Trump Pans Antifastan While Biden and CNN Build False Analogies

You know what would be really funny? If President Donald J. Trump held a press conference today in which he recognized Antifa’s Capitol Hill Autonomous Zone (CHAZ) as a free and independent country, built a 32-foot high wall around its perimeter and slapped 100% tariffs on it. The wall would have surveillance cameras placed atop it so that we could all then spend the next few weeks watching “Animal Farm” play out in real life. It could be a great new reality show on Bravo or E!.

It would all be worth it just to see the looks on the faces of Jonathan Karl, Yameche Alcindor and the rest of the White House Press Corps while he was talking. It would be glorious.

Ok, enough wishful thinking.

The President did weigh in on the situation in what he calls “Antifastan” yesterday in this tweet:

So, of course, Washington leftist Governor Jay Inslee and Seattle’s mindless Mayor Jenny Durkan won’t be doing anything about it anytime soon. These are, after all, the same subversive nitwits who ordered the Seattle PD to surrender its 3rd precinct building, which lies inside the border of Antifastan. At a presser yesterday, Durkan compared the situation, in which armed thugs are abusing participants and preventing anyone from traveling through the zone and business owners are being robbed and threatened, to any other “peaceful protest” that has been held within the area over the years.

I laugh about it because it is all so utterly absurd, but the reality is that people are having their rights abused and their livelihoods destroyed, not to mention the almost certain sexual assaults and other brutality taking place in the area. These are Americans who deserve equal protection under the law and no one in a position of authority appears interested in providing that to them.

If you don’t think bad stuff is happening in there, Seattle’s Police Chief will disabuse you of that notion:

By the way, very predictably, no one in the national news media other than Fox News and OAN is really covering what amounts to an armed insurrection on U.S. soil, which is intentional so that the Democrat Governor and Mayor can keep up the pretense that it is no big deal. They’re too busy engaging in yet another round of Wuhan Virus panic porn, as we covered last night.

Deep Thoughts, by Creepy Uncle Quid Pro Farty China Joe Biden:

You just could never make this stuff up, folks. Not in a billion gazillion years.

Yes, she went there. – Angela Rye, a paid CNN contributor, said during a panel discussion yesterday that we should not distinguish between revolutionary figures like George Washington and Thomas Jefferson and Confederate Civil War figures like Robert E. Lee and Stonewall Jackson when it comes to willy-nilly tearing down statues and erasing history.

In making her comments, Ms. Rye assumed for herself the cloak of 18th century slaves owned by Washington and Jefferson, by saying “American history is not all glorious… George Washington was a slave owner. We need to call slave owners out for what they are. Whether we think they were protecting American freedom or not, he wasn’t protecting my freedoms.”

For the record, Ms. Rye was born in a well-to-do family in Seattle, Washington forty years ago. She attended expensive private schools as a child, and obtained an undergrad degree from the University of Washington and a law degree from the extremely expensive Seattle University School of law. Unlike the slaves owned by Washington and Jefferson, she was born into great privilege and has lived in great privilege throughout her entire life in the freest country on planet Earth.

CNN ought to find someone with more authentic grievances to advocate for tearing down the Jefferson Memorial and the Washington Monument, because this particular cat don’t flush.

Speaking of lives of great privilege, I give you the Rev. Al Sharpton:

Meanwhile, the Democrat-dominated City Council in Austin is intent upon turning that Texas city into Seattle South:

Trump is re-starting his rallies and the lefties who run Mediaite have a bad case of the sads about the fact that he is requiring attendees to execute liability waivers to get in:

Guess what? Tens of thousands of Oklahomans will happily sign that waiver for the chance to be present for a Trump rally. You wouldn’t find 100 willing to do the same for Joe Biden.

So suck it, Mediaite.

That is all.

Czar Of Flatulence

The radio read the list of demands and it should have had Benny Hill music or trombone sounds going in the background.
Trump should do nothing and let the comrades enjoy the glorious people’s collective utopian zone.
After all this is what they wanted.

The difference between red states and blue states:

Antifa punks are learning the difference.

Yup! I especially liked how all of a sudden there were police everywhere and the punks realized they weren’t taking any shite from an of them.

Very well Said David.Time to wake up America!

Blacks with brains are hated equally by Dems… They, the Dems, are fueled by hate just as their father is, and seek destruction of all thats good then openly and with straight faces brazenly lie claiming the problems are the result of conservatives.

More and more prominent blacks are coming out publicly, debunking this evil Dem narratives and its terrifying to Dems. The desperation is going to get worse when Trump resumes his rallies to a feverish pitch. Enter resurgence of the “2nd wave” narrative, and the fake explosion of covid all over again.

With the Seattle ‘chaz’ or whatever, its a great advert opportunity for Trump. Its the perfect example of Dem leadership and what they allow. Its gold for Trump…

its a war… no playing nice with the enemy

Biden is now living in the Land of La La. But we already knew that. MLK did steal some of the narrative that others fought for, the moral authority, but he stood up for racial reconciliation, nevertheless. As has Floyd’s family.

(There’s a rumor going around that George Floyd voted for President Trump. Somehow, I find that believable.)

Biden’s comment on the relative importance of Martin Luther King’s death and George Floyd’s is like the claim that “climate change is more significant than WWII.” (Putin also said that the demise of the USSR was the greatest catastrophe of the 20th century, putting him in the category of Crazy Joe, at least for that nonsensical claim.)

MLK would laugh in Biden’s face, and I don’t think that’s gonna play very well in the black community. Non Compos Mentis is not a recycling project.

Funny thing about Sharpton: when the LPD went into a home and the suspect died (not from abuse, but from a heart condition – but the city settled anyway) Sharpton was on his way!

Word has it that when “reverend Al” found out that the arresting officer was also a man of color. Sharpton made an abrupt U-turn. He didn’t give a crap about the deceased; he only cared about the color of the skin of the arresting officer.

Kind of like Chitcago, which doesn’t give a RIP for the murdered blacks, as long as they do it themselves. You don’t see Sharpton there, demanding justice for the deceased, because the killers happened (and happen) to be black.

His version of self-help for the black community: do-it-your-selfers are encouraged.

Sharpton doesn’t know the difference between Hippocrates and hypocrisy, and as a “reverend,” he can’t tell the difference between the Paraclete and a parakeet.

Trump is outsmarting them again with the Antifistan situation. They expected him to wildly burst in with feds before the eager media cameras. It didn’t happen. Now that the burst of revolutionary fervor is over, the Dems are faced with a grim reality that all Americans will see devolve in real time–and the mayor and governor are faced with the blame.

I was all for Trump sending in the NG to clear these idiots out, but like Silas, I’m rethinking about letting it play out and watching it fail. It’s definitely a social experiment, but instead of directed by well intentioned academic adults, its being run by a bunch of soy-soaked spoiled liberal brats. They have a dedicated Reddit page – go look it up, it’s comedy gold.

The downside to all this is by letting them fester, we’re going to encourage them to do this all over the country. And they are clearly breaking the law. The Seattle PD, by first pulling out and giving the area up, and now “negotiating” with them, gives them credibility and a voice they didn’t have a week ago. They are breaking the law, and now that’s negotiable? Bad precedent.

Shut off the power, water and cell phone towers, and this will be done in a few days.

Sad thing is, there are businesses and apartment buildings there with them both essentially being held hostage because of antifastan. Those poor souls would suffer the consequences of shutting everything off and they most likely aren’t prepared to fight off the mob when it happens. Because the mob will surely look to those around them first for what they can get before they capitulate.

According to the blindingly brilliant Jenny Duncan, Antifistan is just like one big block party.

These people richly deserve everything that is coming their way.

phineas gage

They will never do that in Seattle. What will happen, inevitably, in their little commune is that food will run out, filth will accumulate, chaos will descend, and the little snowflakes will soon start to desert in droves.

Of course, as DB indicated, the problem is what can happen in the chaos. If people start to be killed, or women sexually assaulted, Trump will probably have to act at that point.

I know yesterday I was on fire and part of the do something now camp, but as the day progressed I realized that letting it continue and watching the de-evolution of civilized society might turn out to be the better way to go. And as you said, the mayor and the governor will be left holding the bag with no one to blame but themselves.

Even better, the President should announce that upon further reflection he has decided to acquiesce to the mayor and governors demands he mind his own business and that he will only intervene upon the request of said politicians. Apologize to the citizens of Seattle and refer them back to said politicians, That would be prime apoplexy material for them.

“Governors” Inslee and Whitmer sit in their protected castles and chant to themselves a poem by Yeats, “The Lake Isle of Innisfree,” an elegy (in their minds) of their pretended power and dominion, and a longing for time in the heathen heavens. (Cue the song “Eldorado” by ELO)

Ah, elegies, elegies, but for the lost paradise of Coleridge’s “Kubla Khan,” there may be no better metaphor.

Shit happens when you live in castles in the air, because it really is as they say: “Neurotics build castles in the air; psychotics live in them.”

Ah, the timeless void inside their cranial cavities, tucked safely upside their ischiums.

This was supposed to go below Jimmy’s post. *need more coffee*

“There is another class of coloured people who make a business of keeping the troubles, the wrongs, and the hardships of the Negro race before the public. Having learned that they are able to make a living out of their troubles, they have grown into the settled habit of advertising their wrongs — partly because they want sympathy and partly because it pays. Some of these people do not want the Negro to lose his grievances, because they do not want to lose their jobs.” – Booker T. Washington

I love this quote. It’s the not so right and reverent Al Sharpton all over.

Jimmy MacAfee

Yeah, they wanted another 1986 Philly event.

Jimmy MacAfee

Laughed until my stomach hurt at your lead suggestion, Dave! Brilliant! Fall of the House of Usher, too.

My sister lives in Charlottesville–I told her this was coming. I hope Cville (and UVA) survives our glorious new cultural revolution.

As someone posted the other day, given that Elihu Yale was a slave trader, when does the woke brigade take up the cause of renaming Yale ‘George Floyd Universitiy’?

Jimmy MacAfee

Black Lives Antimatter wants to rename Lynchburg, Virginia because…they don’t like the name.

Well, John Lynch, for whom Lynchburg was named, was a slave owner, but he was against slavery and he freed his slaves.

The term lynching wasn’t named for him, but another Lynch, perhaps two.

Lynchburg also didn’t want to go to war against the Union, and only agreed because the rest of Virginia wanted war.

BLM is not just stupid; they’re “ignant.”

phineas gage

They also claimed, when the market crashed a few months ago, that ‘Black Monday’ was racist. They have previously claimed that the term ‘Black Friday’ is racist, apparently not understanding the economic terms ‘in the red’ and ‘in the black’. And furthermore, I thought they all wanted to be called African-Americans anyways…

These people are not just ignorant, they are ponderously, thuddingly, and tediously stupid. Like most leftist apparatchiks. Run with the crowd because they don’t have the ability to stand out individually.

Jimmy MacAfee

And we now understand that money raised for the BLM is being funneled to the DNC. More will come out later. Somewhere near half a billion dollars, extorted from Big Bidness.
