I notice the word “draconian” popping up, rightly, in many of these columns and discussions. Draco was historically the first legislator of Athens, known for his overtly harsh approach to law and punishment. Quoting from the despicable Wikipedia:

“In a traditional ancient Greek show of approval, his supporters ‘threw so many hats and shirts and cloaks on his head that he suffocated, and was buried in that same theatre'”.

You know how people talk about Karma. Just sayin’…

Time to get back to work in Virginia!
And to be able to use the beaches for more than exercise – (Northam is allowing the beaches to be used for exercise, unlike some states.)

However, other states are opening their beaches. Virginia Beach will be left out, and the businesses will lose out to North Carolina. The governor himself goes to North Carolina beaches. Is this a conflict of interest? Asking you…not making a claim.
