No, President Trump Did Not Advise Anyone to Drink Clorox

Today’s Campaign Update, Part II

Seriously, you could never make this stuff up.

If you watched the press conference for the Coronavirus Task Force Thursday evening, you saw the depraved, corrupt news media at its very worst. After President Trump had a scientist (Bill Bryan, Under Secretary for Science and Technology at DHS) deliver the wonderful news from a study indicating that heat and sunlight rapidly kill the Wuhan Virus, we watched as the reporters in the room literally went into a panic. They simply could not bear the fact that their dream of helping the Democrats destroy America might come to an end as summer dawns in the U.S. It was truly hilarious to watch.

So of course they had to figure out a way to distract the public from this good news by drumming up yet another false narrative. That new false narrative has been derived from an exchange the President had with the detestable Washington Post hack Phil Rucker. When viewed in context of the full exchange, President Trump said nothing remarkable at all.

But of course, pretty much the entirety of the fake news media immediately leapt to extract a portion of a sentence out of that context and construct a narrative that the President actually advised people to inject bleach or rubbing alcohol into their bodies.

Here is a clip of what the President actually said:

For those who like to read stuff, here is a transcript of what the President actually said:

So, I’m going to ask Bill a question that probably some of you are thinking of if you’re totally into that world, which I find to be very interesting. So, supposing when we hit the body with a tremendous, whether it’s ultraviolet or just very powerful light, and I think you said that hasn’t been checked, but you’re going to test it. And then I said supposing you brought the light inside the body, which you can do either through the skin or in some other way. And I think you said you’re going to test that too. Sounds interesting. And then I see the disinfectant, where it knocks it out in a minute, one minute. And is there a way we can do something like that by injection inside or almost a cleaning? Because you see it gets in the lungs and it does a tremendous number on the lungs, so it’d be interesting to check that, so that you’re going to have to use medical doctors with, but it sounds interesting to me. So, we’ll see, but the whole concept of the light, the way it kills it in one minute. That’s pretty powerful.

So, he was attempting to summarize what Bryan had communicated to him and the Task Force members during a briefing held prior to the press conference. He was not giving advice to anyone, and in fact did not at any point suggest anyone drink bleach or rubbing alcohol, as every corrupt media outlet in America is contending this morning.

As Robby Starbuck points out, you really do have to be either a gigantic psychopath or criminally stupid to believe this new false narrative. Sadly, those two categories include everyone in the White House press corps and most of their audience.

Truly, there is no more non-essential segment of our society today than the utterly corrupt national news media. They really are enemies of the people, the very worst human beings on the planet.

That is all.

Cleanse your lungs with Clorox. Just breathe it in.

Clorox rocks, barkeep.

As far as chlorine helping anyway, that’s a dangerous tactic: chlorine and ammonia (both produced by the body in limited quantities) can be lethal in the right amounts. There are problems in swimming pools – when you smell the chlorine, you are smelling the chlorine reaction with ammonia, which is called “chloramines.” (Ammonia is found in sweat and in decaying organic material.)

Now it is true that chloramines are used in some municipal water treatment plants, because it is effective, but it also is dangerous for people getting things like dialysis. Chloramines AND excessive chlorine are dangerous in pool settings, and in some facilities, the walls drip with hydrochloric acid (eroding the electrical outlets and pace clocks.) If you’ve ever worked out hard in such a pool, you may have experienced what felt like your esophagus being scraped with a wire brush. With pain sometimes lasting hours afterward.

Personally, the ONLY time I’ve had the flu in the last 15 years has been when I have been exposed to these chemicals in sufficient quantities to make it hurt. Which is why anyone suggesting such a regimen should take a long second look before proposing this kind of treatment. Tissue damage – then inflammation – then damaged alveoli. Like an after-drowning, which I have experienced once (a limited version) in my life. Surfactant is king, and when it’s washed away or made useless, things get rather nasty.

Wondered how many ECMO machines are in use for this current virus? Basically a lung bypass. According to this article, basically useless for COVID-19 in one small study.

“Extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO) can serve as life-saving rescue therapy for refractory respiratory failure in the setting of acute respiratory distress syndrome, such as that induced by coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19). In the study by Yang and colleagues,1 who compared clinical characteristics and outcomes in patients with severe COVID-19, five (83%) of six patients receiving ECMO died. Although this sample was small, and specific baseline characteristics and disease courses were almost unknown, it raises concerns about potential harms of ECMO therapy for COVID-19.”

Expensive, cumbersome, lot of work to run one, (from what I’ve heard.) Useful for what it’s designed for, but not COVID-19. Perhaps a variation of the device or used on certain target populations, because the authors didn’t want to discourage use of it – but basically said it wasn’t always helpful. Read the article if you want a better view.

Trump should say to the media their hair will not burn in the media room because of the rarefied air in there. How many would try??? 🙂

Lysol felt it had to run a PSA today saying that their products are not safe for internal consumption – Really?. If anyone is stupid enough to drink poison regardless of who they think said what – then THEY DESERVE TO DIE. Probably all dumb enough to be a Biden or Bernie supporter/voter.

I don’t understand the uproar, close to half the country willingly drink the left’s poison Kool-Aid all the time – they should go ahead and actually drink what someone will undoubtedly call rubbing alcohol, Clorox bleach, and Lysol Trump Kool-Aid.

It’s just the media outrage of the day–every day Trump sends them rushing off on another snipe hunt. It’s really quite amusing how clueless they are to his manipulation.

Oh so true. The jackals just sit there salivating, waiting for the next sound bite and then they run off to bleat to their version of the “truth” only to have Trump prove them wrong. Every damn time.

Nothing would probably work for everyone. There is much to try though. Colloidal silver and ozone are two that come with harsh warnings but probably somewhat untrue or exaggerated. At one time the tomato was considered poisonous. Witches existed and were burned, hanged, or drowned. Electricity is deadly, and yet, one of our best friends. Lye also is maligned but without it, no soap. We have been ‘educated’ into fearing everything. The pioneer confidence, fearlessness, and optimism has been all but eradicated in the majority. We fear death so much that we fail to live.

And we still have affluent liberal white women, like Fredo’s wife:

Sounds like she could be a “Karen” if she got a short haircut

By the way, it is well known that many viruses are extraordinarily sensitive to heat and humidity. There’s a reason that influenza occurs in the late winter and fall.

It’s probably at least part of the reason why the virus has not spread as much in certain tropical regions. It is also the reason why this virus has reached its peak in most areas of the U.S.and is now tapering off.

That means it’s time for the media to fire up their wind-and-fog machine in order to suspend disbelief.

I wish the Democrats would listen to their own advice and drink all of the Clorox in America..

Excellent – me too. Ill even spend gubmint check to buy it for them.

Robert Kennedy Jr. is, to put it kindly, a highly idiosyncratic oddball leftist flake, but he may have something here:

Stopped clocks and all that….

The narrative is fully set with the media, and has been since mid-March.

If the nation is well on its way to transitioning back to normal as we enter into May, that is going to provide a wide time window for Trump to oversee the recovery.

That will be devastating to the narrative and objective, and the media will fight it like rabid weasels. Expect a Ted Koppel Nightline running death count throughout the summer and fall.

The president is an intuitively creative and innovative person, always looking for new and better ways to get things done. It’s why he has been highly successful in business.

He’s simply broadly speculating about anti-viral approaches that work externally and the possibility of applying those same strategies internally.

He doesn’t have any medical or physiological training, and is not claiming any. Nor does the ignorant media, by the way. In fact, Trump is far more open-minded and objective than they are. In that way he is far truer to actual science than any of these propaganda groupies.

Bronchial lavage, bronchioalveolar wash. Look them up. An injection of fluid done from within the body via endoscopes to literally spray lung tissue from the inside. It’s been used to collect samples of cellular debris in some cases of COVID19, of which I’m sure the president is aware. He is a non medical person knowing that we literally pressure wash lung tissue from inside the body, asking if we can do the same, only instead of using saltwater, instead doing it with a fluid that would kill the virus but keep a person alive. It makes perfect sense to anyone with a medical background.

phineas gage

I’m aware of them, I teach them every semester.

ummmm… well it would make sense to people who actually use the O2 they breath for processing information, but we all know that the media and marxists avoid that right??

Well last month, the MSM (D) tried to pin the death (man) and severe injury (woman) on that mid 60s dingbat couple in Arizona who ingested fish tank cleaner because it had an ingredient that SOUNDED like HCQ (probably right next to the skull and crossbones warning) to cure or prevent sickness from the virus on Trump.

It is what they are and what they do. I think the president should change his strategy and just put out information and updates at his daily conferences and maybe answer pre submitted written questions from the MSM (D). Even a hundred idiots can put together or cherry pick some phrase from a genius to make the genius look bad.

Trump may have media background and be brilliant in dealing with their garbage, but these people ARE the media and have the other 22 hours of the day to make him look foolish. Even a busted clock is right twice a day, and a blind squirrel can find an acorn once in awhile.

This got-you game reminds me of when someone in the Bush II administration correctly said the US government has to be right 100% of the time; the terrorists only have to be right once.

Sir Cumference

That is why the DemocRATs are so upset about what Trump said. They know that DemocRATs, crybaby libs and other leftists are stupid enough to try something like drinking fish tank cleaner, bleach or other harmful products. Stupid is as stupid does.

Interesting this article didn’t quote what he actually said.

He added: “I see the disinfectant that knocks it out in a minute, one minute. And is there a way we can do something like that by injection inside or almost a cleaning? As you see, it gets in the lungs, it does a tremendous number on the lungs, so it would be interesting to check that.”

Now do go on.

Assuming what you quoted is accurate, did you even read it: “…is there a way we can do something like that…it would be interesting to check that.””

To repeat, “something like that” and “interesting to check that”. He didn’t say, “hey, maybe we could inject….” He said, maybe there is some equivalent that we could check on.

Clorox on the rocks, please!

jimmy matho

i see by now a lot of people have called you out for the idiot you are,…GOOD, you deserve it.
Think before you type bro…..sometimes better to remain silent too

Well now, aren’t you the smart one. Trolls gonna troll. Please be so kind as to go back to The Hill or Fox and play with your little friends there.

Umm, not only is the text transcript present that includes that quote, but there is also a video link.

You are engaging in fake news / baseless straw man attacks by trying to claim the section was left out when it’s very clearly present. No one is believing your disinformation.

Lastly, if you want to judge the merit of the statement, go learn some medicine. He said bringing it inside the body while talking about the lungs. There are procedures done via bronchoscopy including bronchial wash and bronchialalveolar washing, which are also used in some cases with COVID19 patients, literally flushing lung tissue from inside the body via endoscope. The president (a non-medical person) aware that this procedure is being done, basically asked if they could find a wash that could kill the virus but not harm a person to be used in conjunction with this common medical procedure. It actually makes plenty of sense if you have any knowledge of medical practice at all.

phineas gage

To which article are you referring? Because DB provides a full and complete transcript in his post.

I apologize if I am misunderstanding what you are saying.

Its interesting how the media hangs on his every word so they can paste some stupid gotcha headline as clickbait. Let’s apply the same scrutiny to Joe Biden. It’s not even close. The media cuts Trump Zero slack; any Democrat get s a free pass.

Everyone needs to lighten up a bit.
