Fired SecNav Spencer Debases Himself in CBS Interview

Today’s Campaign Update, Part III
(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

Dear Mr. Spencer: Knowing when to shut up is a wonderful life skill. You should acquire it. – In an interview with CBS News released on Tuesday, fired ex-Navy Secretary Richard Spencer took several shots at President Donald Trump, and otherwise basically let the door hit him in the ass on his way out:

“I don’t think he really understands the definition of a warfighter,” Spencer said. “A warfighter is a profession of arms. And a profession of arms has standards that they have to be held to, and they hold themselves to.”

Spencer added that Trump’s intervention “erodes” trust in the U.S. military and the principles, like “good order and discipline,” on which the U.S. military stands. He told CBS News that Trump’s actions also send a dark message to U.S. troops: “That you can get away with things.”

One “standard” that any “warfighter” must learn to hold himself to is a respect for the chain of command. At the top of that chain of command sits the “Commander-in-Chief,” or as he is otherwise known, the President of the United States. That person today happens to be Donald J. Trump.

President Trump issued a pardon to Navy Seal Eddie Gallagher and ordered his rank restored after he had been wrongly convicted – in the President’s view – by a very abusive and corrupt court martial process. Spencer chose to defy that pardon by then convening a review board designed to further persecute Gallagher. He further defied the President by refusing to disband that review board after the Commander-in-Chief had ordered him to do so in a tweet last week, resorting to the utterly laughable claim that a tweet does not amount to a “formal order.”

As for Spencer’s absurd statement that the President’s pardon of Gallagher and restoration of his rank sends a “dark message” to other troops “that you can get away with things,” what exactly is Gallagher supposedly getting away with?

Remember, after that long and abusive court martial process, Gallagher was convicted of the “crime” of posing for a photo with the body of a dead terrorist. He didn’t deface the body, didn’t steal anything from it, just posed for a photo with the body of a terrorist who he was sent to the Middle East by his country to kill.

Rather than being punished for that photo, the Navy should have hung it on the wall in the lobby of the Pentagon with the caption, “MISSION ACCOMPLISHED.”

The same sentiment is an appropriate description of the firing of Richard Spencer: Getting jackasses like him out of our government is why Donald Trump was elected in the first place.

That is all.

He might be able to hook up with Netflix now that he’s available. L

President Obozo desperately needed to hire underlings with less intelligence. A 90 IQ is a tough bar to crawl under. Spencer qualified.

Crazy what some of those ‘progressive’ officers make troops do. I saw one video–presented applaudingly by some CNN style news service–of a US platoon inspecting a mosque in one of those Islamist hell holes for terrorists. They came upon some old beards praying whereupon the commanding imbecile ordered the troops to lower their weapons, hold them sidewise and walk backwards bowing their way out of the room. Still in vogue with some of the command apparently’

It is amazing how these deep staters keep showing the country how inept and stupid they are when they face adversity. Rather than “keep(ing) quiet and being thought a fool these clowns keep talking and removing all doubt”. They are making Trump’s case better than he ever could. They stay in our face, refuse to go away, and just keep making things worse for themselves and their toady media. Are there no adults on the left who have a clue when to advise a tactical retreat from a losing situation? They are acting like either kamikazes or Hitler – no retreat – at Stalingrad. I always felt GOP consultants like Rove were inept at best, but boy the Dems either don’t listen to their consultants/handlers, or their “experts” just plain suck. Obama always sounded/looked the fool (he often made Quayle sound/look brilliant) when he went off script or lost his teleprompter

This week Rush even gave Nanpo an out on impeachment; confident that she and the Dems are too arrogant and/or stupid to use it.

If Hillary Russian Clinton had just graciously conceded and kept quiet (she always polled better when she kept her mouth shut, worse when talking), she could have been a legitimate front runner next year. But her ungraciousness, which has been known, but generally well hidden form the masses for 25 years has been on display for all to see for the past three years. She could have rehabbed her image and all this Russia crap probably would have gone away. I am certain the bear will come back to bite everyone of the conspirators.

The Dems could have put on airs to act like they wanted to work with Trump on infrastructure, healthcare etc.

Comey could have still been FBI Director.

The media could still have a modicum of credibility.

“Judge” Napolitano, was denied a SC nomination and proved Trump right by being a snotty little anti-Trump brat ever since; and in doing so, showed he had no temperament for any high position. Same with Mutt McRomney (interviewed for Sec. of State I believe), and the other supposed Republicans like former TN Sen. Dorker, and the faux conservative stink tankers.

The swamp could have stayed hidden. Not now, after kicking the Trump Hornet Nest repeatedly for four years. God willing, he will smash the whole lot to ashes and free America their tyranny, and show the world how to get rid of their respective corrupt swamp.

The key to victory is to know your enemy, or at least learn from your mistakes. To this day, they don’t know who Trump is and who his supporters are. They don’t believe the polls about black and Hispanic support growing for Trump; they are the classic example of insanity, and arrogant insanity at that. Pride cometh before the fall.

The lesson for we conservatives and real Republicans is that these petulant punks, who think they run Washington and the country, if not the world, are not all that smart and can be defeated rather easily because they cannot stand up to any real scrutiny or adversity, and are basically lazy. Most are quiet cowards like the Orrs, Page, McCabe etc. who stay out of sight and do their dirty work in the bowels of their offices, and the others who are the pretty faces of the deep state are media creations. They are so lazy, and having the benefit of a Goebbels-like propaganda ministry masquerading as a free and honest press, never had to develop and become competent.

In 2016 America needed and got a General Patton in President Trump. Hopefully, Barr, Durham, Pence etc.will prove to be faithful lieutenants and make sure he is able to continue to “Kick Ass and Press ON” in his quest to MAGA/KAG.

‘Are there no adults on the left who have a clue when to advise a tactical retreat from a losing situation?’

In short. no. They are headed over the cliff at warp speed. And the quicker the better. They are the political equivalent of a national kidney stone.

100% agree with Mr. Church.

Don McCoy

A profession of Arms understands the chain of command. Unlike Spencer.

Ricky D Church

Personally I think President Trump has not finished the job. He also needs to relive Admiral Green and anyone else in the chain of command for insubordination. Good order and discipline should apply equally to Admirals as well as Petty Officers.

I have also heard there is discontent with some at the pentagon. If that is the case they can either resign or he can relive them too.

Philly Get rid of all military and civilians that are Obama era leftovers. Obama only promoted Democrats to field rank. These are now senior commanders and are undercutting the Commander in Chief.

Jimmy MacAfee

Incident happened in 2011; Army removed him in 2015:

“The U.S. Army is kicking out a decorated Green Beret after an 11-year Special Forces career, after he got in trouble for shoving an Afghan police commander accused of raping a boy and beating up his mother when she reported the incident.”

“After learning an Afghan boy was raped and his mother beaten, Martland and his team leader confronted a local police commander they had trained, armed and paid with U.S. taxpayer dollars. When the man laughed off the incident, they physically confronted him.”

“They were punished by the Army at the time — but why exactly Martland is now being discharged is a matter of dispute. Army sources cited his accolades, including being named runner-up for 2014 Special Warfare Training Group Instructor of the Year from a pool of 400 senior leaders in Special Forces, in questioning the decision.
As for the incident in 2011, Hunter told Carter: “To intervene was a moral decision, and SFC Martland and his Special Forces team felt they had no choice but to respond.”
Casey, a former Green Beret teammate who would only use his first name since he is now a member of a federal counterterrorism team, told Fox News, “If I was a commander, I would have given him an award. They saved that kid’s life.”‘

This is probably what Spencer thinks is a firing offense, but it shows how the elite ranks look at those warfighters who have to make judgement calls. The Green Beret should have shot the bastard, not just roughed him up. If it were up to people like Spencer, they’d be giving Participation Awards. Good to see him gone. Maybe some Army brass needs another look, too – like in this case I posted?
