Trump and North Korea: Proof The Reagan Doctrine Works

Today’s Campaign Update

(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

Barbara Bush, America’s matriarch, Rest In Peace.

Tired of all this Winning yet?  – It turns out that not everybody in California is crazy after all.  On Tuesday, the San Diego County board of supervisors became the latest local government to vote to support the Trump Administration’s lawsuit challenging the Golden State’s sanctuary state law.  The County joins neighboring Orange County and cities like San Juan Capistrano, Los Alamitos, Huntington Beach, Aliso Viejo, Mission Viejo and Escondido in opposing the state’s open borders law.

All of the cities and counties listed above are, of course, at the southern end of the state, and thus bear the brunt of the negative impacts of open borders policies advocated by Governor Jerry Brown and the state’s openly seditious Democrat Party.  Some may characterize these actions as futile gestures, but the intervention into lawsuits like this by impacted parties play a key role in the judicial process.  In this case, they show that there are still people in California who care about the good of the country as a whole, which is a very gratifying thing indeed.

When you appoint a true strict constructionist justice, you get strict constructionist decisions. – Many observers were surprised on Tuesday when the Supreme Court issued an immigration-related decision in which Trump appointee Neil Gorsuch sided with the four liberals on the court to deal the administration a setback.  The case revolved around how U.S. deportation law defines a violent crime for the purpose of deporting illegal immigrants to their home country.  Gorsuch joined the court’s liberal minority in ruling that the definition was overly vague and thus unenforceable under the Constitution.

Anyone who is surprised by his ruling should make themselves aware that, in 2015, the man Gorsuch replaced on the court, the late Antonin Scalia, ruled that similar language in a law imposing longer prison sentences on repeat offenders was also unconstitutional for the same reason.  Thus, while this decision by Gorsuch is inconvenient for the Trump administration, the fact that he ruled as he did should actually be encouraging to anyone who calls themselves a conservative.

Liberals opposed Gorsuch because they believed he would be a down-the-line strict constructionist, like Justice Scalia.  Turns out, they were right for once.

“In today’s news, North and South Korean end war, now back to rolling video of a porn star.” – Lost in all the fake news media frenzy over porn stars and Sean Hannity lawyers yesterday was the amazingly consequential announcement by South Korea leaders that they are meeting with the leaders of North Korea this week to change the 65 year-old armistice agreement between the two countries into the formal ending to the state of war between them.  After pretty much burying the story yesterday, the fake news media and Democrat paid liars will no doubt spend today trying to tell us all how Barack Obama somehow deserves credit for this amazing turn of events.

The truth, of course, is that everything Obama did related to the situation on the Korean peninsula during his 8 disastrous years in office simply made the situation worse, and this current easing of tensions there is purely President Trump’s doing.  Later in the day, the President also announced to the slack-jawed White House press corps of fake journalists that the administration was already engaged with North Korean emissaries in negotiations “at very high levels.”  Early this morning, the President tweeted that Secretary of State nominee Mike Pompeo had actually met with North Korea’s Crazy Little Fat Guy late last week, characterizing the meeting as having gone “very smoothly.”:

Obviously, we are still a long way from real denuclearization of the Korean peninsula, but there is real progress taking place in that direction, a progress that our three prior administrations spent a quarter of a century failing to advance.  There is no magic to any of this – what Trump has been doing with the Crazy Little Fat Guy is promoting the Reagan Doctrine of “Peace through strength.”  24 years of appeasement policies only emboldened and enabled the succession of three different Kim dictators to pursue their nuclear ambitions, pretty much with impunity.

Now that a leader of the United States has demonstrated clearly that this country is willing to confront not only North Korea, but also its benefactors in China on the matter, we see this sudden desire to engage in real negotiations.  Amazing how that works.  Well, amazing to liberals and fake journalists, anyway.

Just another day in appeasement never works America.

That is all.

Here’s Why Trump is Suddenly Tweeting About Mueller by Name

The Evening Campaign Update

(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

So, the fake news media spent most of the past two days focusing on the fact that President Donald Trump, for the first time, issued a series of tweets criticizing Special Counsel Robert Mueller by name over the weekend.  The fake media’s take on this is that the President is nuts, that he just gets upset and for no reason at all blurts stuff like this out on his Twitter feed while drinking Diet Cokes and eating Big Mac’s at 2:00 in the morning.

To understand why that assessment – the conventional wisdom in Washington, DC – is completely, totally, 100% wrong, let’s go back to February 28, and the piece I posted that day explaining why the President had called out both Attorney General Jeff Sessions and DOJ Inspector General Michael Horowitz in a tweet earlier that same day.

In that piece, I discussed the fact that Mr. Trump really doesn’t just toss inflammatory stuff out onto Twitter for no reason, that there is a long history of there being a method to the seeming (in the media’s eyes) madness.  And I pointed out the likelihood that that particular seeming attack on Sessions and Horowitz’s integrity was in fact designed to elicit the exact response that he ended up getting from the fake news media, which was day after day of defense of both men’s integrity.

Why?  My assumption was that it was because Trump was expecting something big from both men in the coming days.  Specifically, I posited that we were probably going to see the issuance of the IG’s report from his 14 month-long investigation of wrongdoing within the FBI and DOJ during the first week or two of March.  That obviously didn’t happen, but think about what has happened since February 28:

  • First, the Attorney General went to the outlaw state of California and announced that his Justice Department would be withholding funds from and filing suit against the state challenging its clearly unconstitutional “sanctuary state” law;
  • Next, the DOJ Office of Professional Responsibility (OPR) sends Sessions a report recommending the termination of former Deputy FBI Director Andrew McCabe, a recommendation based on – guess what? – a finding from IG Michael Horowitz;
  • Finally, Sessions makes the decision to fire McCabe, as he should have done.

The media’s instinctive reaction was to go on full attack against Sessions, but then, at some point on Sunday, reality began to set in that they  were going after the same guy they were all defending just two weeks ago, and the feeding frenzy began to fall away.

Now, the President goes after Mueller on Saturday, and all the Democrats with press passes leap to defend the Special Counsel in glowing terms normally reserved for anyone with the last name of Obama.  And by the way, that all takes place right after they also all leapt to the defense of McCabe as being the second coming of Mother Teresa, which will come back to haunt them should McCabe keep his word and start tossing other media favorites – like James Comey – under the bus.

So what do you all think is probably about to happen next?

Well, what is NOT going to happen is Trump firing Mueller.  All the fake reporters would love that, but that has never been in the President’s plans.

What IS likely going to happen is some move by Mueller that is broadly positive for the President.  No idea what that might be, but here are some possibilities:

  • Announcement of indictments of Tony Podesta and others involved in his now-defunct lobbying firm;
  • Announcement of the vacation of the guilty plea by General Mike Flynn;
  • Announcement that the “setting aside” of Mueller’s investigation into potential obstruction of justice made public a few days ago is actually a permanent dropping of that line of inquiry;
  • Announcement that Mueller no longer feels the need to conduct an interview with the President.

Could be one of those things, could be something entirely different.  In any event, this feels like President Trump preparing the playing field for some significant event involving Mueller.  And when it feels that way, that’s what generally happens.

Buckle up.

That is all.

Don’t Expect the Democrat Party’s Farrakhan Chickens to Come Home to Roost in November

Today’s Campaign Update

(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

Democrats in Action, Part I – A Democrat who sits on the city council in Washington, DC, took to his Facebook account on Sunday to blame a sudden snowstorm on…wait for it…no, really, you have got to wait for this one…the JEWS!  I swear I don’t make this stuff up.

“It’s climate manipulation and D.C. keep talking about ‘we are a resilient city’ and that’s a model based off the Rothschilds controlling the climate to create natural disasters they can pay for to own the cities, man. Be careful,” said council member Trayon White, Sr., who is an actual elected official in our nation’s capital.  The Rothschilds, of course, are a very wealthy European Jewish family.  Mr. White is no doubt a follower of the execrable Nation of Islam leader Louis Farrakhan, which means he’s just your basic mainstream Democrat these days.

White later apologized, sort of, saying that “I did not intend to be Anti-Semitic [sic], and I see I should not have said that after learning from my colleagues,” White said. He added that he was working to “understand the history of comment [sic] made against Jews.”

So, he had to be educated by his “colleagues”, i.e., other nitwit Democrats, that it’s ok to hate the Jews in private, but you probably don’t want to go talking about it on your Facebook account.  Gotcha.

Democrats in Action, Part II – Speaking of the execrable Louis Farrakhan, The Soros-funded organization behind The Women’s March is losing top staffers and members due to its recently-revealed ties to the racist hate-monger.  Note that none of these deranged Democrats had any problem at all with the group’s ongoing association with the equally execrable radical Islamist Linda Sarsour.  If I were an African American Democrat voter, I might be wondering why that is the case?

The sad irony here is that, despite the Democrat Party’s open association with Mr. Farrakhan – the DNC’s deputy chairman, Keith Ellison, is a known associate, after all – when Jewish voters go to the polls this coming November, most of them will vote for Democrats, just as most Catholic Americans keep voting for Democrats despite that Party’s open hostility to their religion of choice.  It is truly a mind-boggling facet of American society.

Democrats in Action, Part III – Maine Democrat legislator Michelle Dubois has demanded that state officials change the name of one of the entrances to the state’s capital building because, she says, it is an affront to “women’s dignity.”  The entrance is called the “General Hooker Entrance,” and Ms. Dubois finds that, like, totally offensive.  Of course – and you Republicans know what’s coming here without me having to say it – the entrance is named for famed Civil War General John J. Hooker, who was a native of Maine.  I swear, I swear, I swear I do not make this stuff up.  Who could?

He fixes elections much more efficiently than the DNC and Hillary Clinton. – To no one’s surprise, Vladimir Putin was re-“elected” to yet another term as dictator of Russia, “winning” a whopping 73.9% of the vote.  Somewhere, the Pantsuit Princes is berating Debbie Wasserman Schultz for her under-performance in fixing the Democrat nominating process in 2016.  Fake journalists at CNN were busy constructing a narrative that proves Putin’s victory was the direct result of collusion with Donald Trump.

*Sigh*  No, it didn’t. – Some guy named Ryan Goodman, writing for some fake news site called “JustSecurity”, claims that Attorney General Jeff Sessions’ firing of Andrew McCabe, which was based on McCabe’s lying to the DOJ Inspector General about media leaks related to the Clinton email scandal, somehow violates Sessions’ “recusal” from the Russia Collusion investigation.  This is possibly the dumbest thing you’ll read all week.  I say “possibly” only because Juan Williams still works for Fox, and Chris Cuomo remains on the air at CNN.

All evidence to the contrary aside, there are still sane people living in California. – City Council members in the Calfornia town of Los Alamitos will vote this week approve an ordinance declaring the city to be exempt from the state’s patently unconstitutional “sanctuary state” law.  The ordinance correctly notes that the state law “may be in direct conflict with federal laws and the Constitution,” and that the council “finds that it is impossible to honor our oath to support and defend the Constitution of the United States.”  So next time a friend remarks that all the sane people have fled California and moved to Colorado or Austin, you can respond with “Nope, there is still at least one little enclave of clear thinking in Los Alamitos.”

Just another day in Jews controlling the weather America.

That is all.

The Sessions v. California Lawsuit is a Good Start. Perp Walks of CA Officials Would be Even Better

Today’s Campaign Update

(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

Tired of all this Winning yet? – The Trump economy just continues to add jobs at a phenomenal pace.  The ADP/Moody’s Analytics report for February indicates the economy created 235,000 new non-government jobs, well above expectations of 195,000.   The same report raised the initially-reported January number from 234,000 to 244,000.

Attorney General Jeff Sessions announced on Wednesday that the Justice Department is filing a lawsuit against California, challenging the state’s “sanctuary state” laws that have its officials openly violating national immigration laws.  The challenge is filed under the “Supremacy Clause” of the U.S. Constitution, which holds that, when state laws are in direct conflict with federal laws, the federal law prevails.  This would seem like a pretty open and shut case, but we can assume that the outlaw 9th Circuit Court of Appeals, through which this case would have to go prior to moving to the Supreme Court, will find some absurd means of ruling in the Golden State’s favor.  Because being overturned by the Supreme Court is the 9th Circuit’s favorite pastime.

California Governor Jerry Brown, who has spent the last 7 years turning his state into a third world country modeled on Venezuela, denounced Sessions’ move, in the process revealing his state’s strategy in fighting the case.  Brown stated at one point that the case would “last longer than the Trump Administration,” which, if his lawyers engage in delaying tactics, could certainly be the case should Trump not win re-election in 2020.  In the meantime, absent further enforcement actions by the federal government, California just gets to keep engaging in its sedition actions on behalf of the MS-13 gang and other illegal immigrant criminals.

One possible further enforcement action for Sessions to take would be to start charging California officials, like Oakland Mayor Libby Schaaf, with criminal violations.  Ms. Schaaf, who called Sessions a “racist” after he had announced his lawsuit, was directly responsible for the escape of hundreds of known criminals last week during an ICE roundup of criminal aliens in her area, when she tweeted out a warning about the operation 24 hours in advance.  This is clearly obstruction of justice, and if Sessions really wants to change behavior by California’s outlaw office holders, conducting a few televised perp walks of people like Ms. Schaaf being hauled off to jail in handcuffs would be a great way to start.

Narrative failed?  Double down on the narrative. – In the wake of their narrative of a Texas “blue wave” having failed miserably in Tuesday’s Texas primary elections, the fake news media and Democrat-leaning elections analysts like Charlie Cook did what Democrats do:  they doubled down on the narrative.

Cook, who cited “a lot of evidence” that a blue Texas wave was forming, despite the fact that GOP turnout for the primaries was 50% higher than the Democrat turnout, said  “It’s the Democratic tidal wave versus the Republican seawall.  At this point, my bet is that in House, the wave is bigger and stronger than the wall, but in the Senate, my money is on the wall not the wave.”  Yeah, ok.  Cook also predicted that Hillary Clinton was going to easily be elected to the presidency in 2016, so there’s that.

The Democrats, meanwhile, continued to cling to their hopes of a blue wave by repeatedly pointing out that their total turnout was just over 1,000,000, the first time that had happened since the 2002 primaries.  None of them went onto mention the inconvenient fact that, in the 2002 general elections, their party lost every statewide election in Texas, with Republican Rick Perry prevailing over his extremely well-funded opponent, Tony Sanchez, by a 58-40 margin.

As for Cook’s claim that the Democrat “could” hope to move three of the state’s 36 congressional seats from Republican to Democrat, even that is highly suspect.  Of the three vulnerable Republicans Cook cites – John Culberson, Pete Sessions and Will Hurd – only Hurd would seem to be in real jeopardy.  That is not at all surprising, given that Hurd represents a district that runs from San Antonio all the way to El Paso, one which most observers think is a slightly Democrat-majority district.

Hurd in fact defeated a Democrat incumbent to win the seat in 2014, and barely defeated that same Democrat to win re-election in 2016.  Were that district to flip back to the Democrats in this election, that would not be a “blue wave”, that would simply be the normal course of business.

But hey, stories discussing the normal course of business don’t generate Internet clicks or TV audiences or newspaper sales the way a narrative about a “blue wave” coming to Texas does.  Right?  Right.

Just another day in the Texas Blue Wave is clickbait America.

That is all.
