In Light of the Mueller Indictments, When Will We Get a Special Counsel to go After George Soros?

After all the hysteria over guns on the cable fake news networks this week, here’s a reality check from our friends in the Great White North of Minnesota:  WCCO CBS Minnesota reports that record numbers of Minnesotans now own guns, record numbers of Minnesotans now have concealed carry permits, and the state’s violent crime rate hit a new all-time record low in 2017.  That’s the reality of gun ownership in America:  The more people who own guns and have permits to carry, the lower the violent crime rate becomes.  Since concealed carry laws began to be passed by various states 30 years ago, there has been basically no exception to that dynamic.  None.

Nicolle Wallace goes full retard – Former Republican and now MSNBC pet fake “conservative” host Nicolle Wallace told her audience on Friday that “We’re talking about this because, let’s be honest, 17 white kids were [killed].”  Yes, because the fake news media spent no time at all talking about that mass 2015 shooting in a black church in Charleston by a white guy named Dylann Roof.  Nobody talked about that one at all, nope.  Uh-uh.  Not a word.  Why, nobody’s ever even heard of Dylann Roof.  No sirree.  Holy cow.

Truth is, few Americans had likely even spent a second worrying about what race these people – not all kids, 2 adults were in the mix as well – were before Wallace and her panel of fellow abject nitwits decided to make it an issue in the hopes, of course, that their remarks might go viral in the social media space, which is exactly what happened, though for the wrong reasons.  As is always the case in situations such as this, it is the fake news media and leftwing social justice warriors who focus instantly on race, not real, thinking and caring Americans.  There was a time during the George W. Bush years that Ms. Wallace actually had her head on fairly straight.  Obviously, being absorbed into the MSNBC group-think borg ruins everyone it touches.

If you go look at who the victims actually were, Ms. Wallace’s statement that they are all “white kids” turns out to be a matter of how you define “white.”  At least three of the 15 kids have Hispanic surnames, another is obviously Asian.  They look like a pretty normal, diverse cross-section of the U.S. population, with the lone exception that none are African Americans.   All one can take away from Ms. Wallace’s and her moron panel’s discussion is that they’re angry that no African Americans died in Parkland on Wednesday.  That is unimaginably ghoulish.

Hey, maybe Nicolle Wallace will end up as one of the hosts on The View.  She and Joy Behar would be a match made in hell.

You’ve all heard by now that Robert Mueller indicted a bunch of Russians on Friday, charging them basically with being trolls on Twitter and Facebook.  Conveniently, the hastily-organized press conference hosted by fake Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein took place just 45 minutes after the revelation that the FBI had been notified about the Parkland shooter on January 5 and failed to act.  But of course, we’re all supposed to believe that the timing of Rosenstein’s announcement was mere coincidence and keep trusting the FBI. Because we’re all supposed to be mind-numbed automatons by now.

Seriously, when you read the indictment and listen to Rosenstein’s comments, you have to wonder why the fake Deputy AG has failed thus far to create a second special counsel to investigate the efforts of a Hungarian national named George Soros to interfere with every U.S. election that has taken place in the 21st century.  These Russians did nothing that Soros hasn’t done, and didn’t do a whole buch of things that he has done in the U.S.

So if it is now a crime for foreign nationals to, for example, pay people to stage riots, Soros is your guy.  If it is now a federal crime for foreign nationals to pay people to create fake accounts on various social media platforms to try to influence U.S. public opinion, Soros is your guy.   You can go on and on and on through this indictment and see that these Russians were basically amateurs compared to the havoc on our society that Soros has caused.

Yes, Soros does technically have U.S. citizenship, one of the most horrific mistakes our immigration system has ever made.  But he was born and grew up in Hungary, and is a citizen of both Hungary and Britain.  Thus, he is a foreign national who never stops attempting to interfere with U.S. elections.

And guess what else?  It didn’t make much news, but an American named Richard Pinedo was also a part of Mueller’s social media bot roundup, and plead guilty on Friday.  So, how does any of what Mueller and Rosenstein are charging these Russians and one American with differ in any real way from George Soro’s activities in our country?  Is it only that Soros is a member in good standing of the DC swamp?

Yep.  Silly question.

Just another day in the DC Swamp is really, really hard to drain America.

That is all.

The Full, Unredacted Susan Rice Email to Susan Rice

Note to self:  Hi, Susan Rice, this is Susan Rice, writing to you, myself, me, on the last day of the Presidential Administration of Barack Hussein Obama, the legend, the hero, the immaculate ONE.  Well, actually, he’s not President anymore, because it’s 12:15 on January 20, so that orange-faced bastard who we spent the last 8 months wiretap….er, opposing, is now technically the president.  For now.  We’ll see how long he lasts.

Anywayyyyyys, I’ve never done this before, but I just thought today, my last day on the job, would be a very neat time to start writing notes to myself like this one.  You know, to memorialize my thoughts, just random thoughts about, oh, whatever random thing happens to randomly come into my mind.  You, know, just the silliest little random things, like  that time Valerie Jarrett and I helped load that 1.6 billion in cash on board that big jet headed for Iran.  Hee-hee, was that fun or what?  Wait, erase that.  We’re not supposed to talk about it.  And anyway, The ONE never had anything to do with that – no knowledge whatsoever.  Well, he did tell us that one time that, if we were ever going to secretly happen to accidentally, for no reason at all, send 1.6 billion dollars in various foreign currencies to the Mullahs in Iran, that we were supposed to do it “by the book.”  His exact words.  From The ONE, I’m sayin’.

Anywayyyyyyys, so many silly little things come to mind, you know, like that Lois Lerner weaponizing the IRS against those nasty Tea Party people.  She’s such a pill, that Lois.  Oh, and The ONE never knew anything at all about that one, if anybody’s reading this.  No way, nope, uh-uh.  Not a chance.  He always told Lois to do everything “by the book.”  Exact words.  For posterity.  He didn’t even know her name – would just say “hey, there goes ol’ By The Book” whenever he happened to see her on the 350 times or so she just stumbled into the Oval Office accidentally for no reason at all.  Yep.

Anywayyyyyyys…Oh, and that Eric Holder and his little ‘Fast and Furious’ gun running thing.  Pfffft.  That was peanuts compared to some of the other stuff, but it got all the news just because a couple dozen people or so just happened to get killed.  But Eric, oh, he did everything by the book.  Because Barack told him so.  “Do it by the book, Eric,” that’s what The ONE always told Eric whenever he had civil unrest to foment anywhere in the country.  “By the book.”  Exact words.  You should’ve seen the look Eric gave him when he told him that right before he took off for Ferguson to get things really stirred up out there.  Eric was all like, “Which book, Barack?” and The ONE was all like, “Whichever book you think works best out there – I hear Farrakhan has written a couple of good ones.”  Oh, that Barack – he could be a riot (literally and figuratively) when he really wanted to.

Anywayyyyyys, another thing that just happens to come to mind for no reason at all that anyone could ever think of is Hillary.  Oh, that Hillary.  What a Secretary of State she was!   You know that secret email server of hers?  Barack didn’t know anything about that one, no sir.  Why, I was there, in the Oval Office, when he looked Hillary directly in the eye and said, “Hillary, if you have plans to set up an illegal email server in the bathroom of some random contractor’s home in Denver and use it to illegally transmit classified information in your emails so that Huma Abedin can forward them to her pervert husband Carlos Danger to print out copies of them and give them to Huma so she can bring them to you because you think you just gotta have paper copies of every damn thing, you do it by the book, you hear?”  Yep, uh-huh, that’s what The ONE said.  His exact words:  “By the book.”  I think he even put an exclamation point on that one.  The man was serious, I’m sayin’.

Anywayyyyyys, Hillary was always getting into some kind of trouble or other.  Like that whole Uranium One thing?  Barack didn’t know anything about that one, no sir.  But he did tell her – I was right there, in the Oval Office when he said it – he said, “Hillary, if you’re planning to make, oh, I don’t know, $150 million or so secretly selling 20% of our country’s uranium reserves to those damn Russians, you do it by the book, understand?”  Yep, that’s what he told her:  “By the book.”  No exclamation point on that one, because I don’t think he really expected her to actually do that one.  Sort of a surprise there, even for The ONE.

Anywayyyyyys, I’m running out of time here, Susan, me, my own self, the Secret Service guys are pounding on my locked office door, so what else might randomly come to mind for no reason at all whatsoever?  Oh, gosh, you know what else just randomly comes to mind for no reason at all whatsoever?  That meeting on January 5.  Yep, that one where The One, Barack Obama his own self sat right there in that meeting room with me and Comey and Sally Yates and Joe Biden and he told us, he said, “Look, when you’re dealing with that Orange bastard and his transition team, you do it by the book.”  That’s right, uh-huh, that’s exactly what he told us, and nothing else.  Not one word else.  The One had nothing at all else to day in that specific meeting on January 5 other than that.  He was strangely quiet, uh-huh.  ‘Cuz you know, Barack’s a talker most of the time.  But in that specific meeting on January 5, with me and Comey and Yates and Biden, why, that was all he had to say:  “By the book.”

I have absolutely no idea why that specific meeting that took place 15 days ago just happened to come into my mind.  Isn’t that funny?  I’m always doing random and funny things for no reason at all.

Anywayyyyyys, this was fun.  I wish I’d have thought to start doing it before the administration had technically ended.  If I had, I could have told myself all about what Barack was really doing when Benghazi happened.  Oh, well…

Best Regards to you, Susan Rice,

Signed, Susan Rice.

It’s Deep State Keystone Cops Time at the CIA

Hey, maybe that new law that makes it legal to poop on the sidewalks has something to do with this. – The good news is that people are packing up and leaving the Marxist enclave of San Francisco in record numbers.  The bad news is that all those Californians are moving to other states and will start messing up the politics there.  Because that’s what transplanted Californians do.  Just ask Colorado.

The Coughing Crook stages her comeback. –  The Pantsuit Princess, after hiding out for most of the month of January, has begun reappearing in public again this month, at least via video, and boy, nothing at all has changed.  On Friday, she treated an audience of Hollywood #MeToo regulars (because of course a bunch of Hollywood nitwits would invite a life-long facilitator of woman abuse to speak at such an event) at something called The Makers’ Conference to one of her signature hacking fits.  Fortunately, she did it via a live video feed from wherever she’s currently hiding out rather than in person, so nobody in the audience got sprayed.  Good times…good times…

The Schiff hits the fan. – After reviewing the Democrat memo sent over by the House Intelligence Committee, the White House, on the advice of the FBI, determined that it was too filled with classified and sensitive information to be released.  That’s because bug-eyed Adam Schiff had intentionally loaded the memo up with this sort of information, knowing the White House would do exactly that so that he and his fellow liars in the Democrat Party and fake news media could spend this entire weekend screaming about bias.  This stupid game has become so predictable and frankly tiresome that it’s hardly worth noting anymore, so let’s move on.

They’re playing Musical Chairs over at DOJ. – Rachel Brand, the #3 person at the Department of Justice, resigned on Friday.  Turns out she’s going to work for Wal Mart.  No, don’t get excited – Wal Mart didn’t just increase its incredibly inadequate staff of check-out workers.  Ms. Brand is going there to become the giant company’s top lawyer, which she described as her “dream job.”  So the lines at check-out won’t be getting any shorter anytime soon.

Unlike all the other firings, resignations and reassignments over the last two months at DOJ and the FBI, this one does appear on the surface to be just a normal-course-of-business case of someone leaving government to make gobs of money.  Stepping into Ms. Brand’s position, at least on an acting basis, is a 37 year-old guy named Jesse Panuccio, who is a real, actual Republican who just came to Washington last year from Florida, and who probably hasn’t been fully absorbed into D.C.’s Deep State borg yet.

It’s Deep State Keystone Cops time at the CIA. – The NYTimes has a report out claiming that some deep state CIA agents paid $100,000 of taxpayer money to a Russian agent in an attempt to obtain dirt on the duly-elected, sitting President of the United States of America last September.  Yes, it’s the NYTimes, so it’s 50/50 the story is a complete work of fiction, but on the off-chance it’s actually true, well, my goodness.

The CIA guys claim they were really after some “cyberweapons” that had been stolen from the National Security Agency (NSA), and that they told this Russian that they just, like, had no, like, interest in, like, that nasty information on Donald Trump.  But well, once they, like, brought the hundred grand in a briefcase – yes, I kid you not, $100,000 in a freaking briefcase like in a bad spy movie – to the guy’s hotel room, well, you know, like, they just couldn’t help, but, like, look the film the guy had that he claimed was Trump in a hotel room with two women.  You know, because, national security or something.

Of course, the film was so grainy that no one could tell who was really in it, and there was no audio, so no way to match the man’s voice to the President, so….ooopsie.  And of course, the Russian took their money but never delivered the NSA cyberweapons in question.  Seriously, it’s like our national intelligence agencies are staffed by thousands of clones of Inspector Clouseau.

If nobody’s head rolls over this little fiasco, then we are well and truly screwed as a country.

Just another day in Deep State Keystone Cops America.

That is all.

Robert Mueller Has a Big Bag of Nothing and the Democrats All Know It

  • Tired of all this Winning yet?  Part I – The federal government shrank by 16,000 jobs during 2017, while the nation’s manufacturing sector added 196,000 jobs.  That, friends, is winning, bigly.
  • Tired of all this Winning yet?  Part II – Senate Judiciary Chairman Chuck Grassley and fellow member Lindsey Graham referred the infamous Christopher Steele, author of the fake anti-Trump dossier to the FBI and DOJ for criminal investigation.  This is the first criminal referral made by any of the various congressional committees that have spent the last year investigating allegations of “Russia Collusion” invented by the fake news media and the Democrats.
  • Tired of all this Winning yet?  Part III – Hundreds of leftwingers – including various people who call themselves “journalists” – fell for a hoax about President Donald Trump spending 17 hours a day watching the “Gorilla Channel.”  After a twitter user tweeted out a mocked-up passage from Michael Wolff’s book making this bizarre claim, leftwingers re-tweeted it all over the Internet in the belief that the story was real.  Within minutes, the Gorilla Channel was trending on Twitter, and cable companies all over America were fielding calls from demented leftists asking how they can subscribe to the Gorilla Channel.  Of course, there is no such thing as the Gorilla Channel.  But I sure wish there was.  Sounds fascinating.
  • The New York Times reported on Friday that Special Counsel Robert Mueller has given up on finding any actual collusion with Russia – the ostensible reason for his appointment in the first place – and is now focusing on trying to prove up an obstruction of justice case against President Trump.  So this paragon of virtue has shifted from one fool’s errand to another.
  • If the NYTimes report is true – always a dangerous assumption, given that the fake newspaper’s record for accurate reporting is roughly equal to that of Michael Wolff, a self-admitted fabulist – Mueller is trying to dummy up a case that would contend that Trump’s efforts to convince Jeff Sessions not to recuse himself somehow amounts to obstruction of justice.  This is tomfoolery bordering on rank nitwittery.  Whether or not Sessions should recuse himself was for days the subject of intense debate, with experts weighing in on both sides of the argument.  Mueller apparently wants us to believe that the President obstructed justice because he expressed his own opinion in the matter.  Our tax dollars should not be paying for such nonsense.
  • The other angle the Times claims Mueller is pursuing is that the President tasked his White House counsel to try to dig up dirt on James Comey, who he already knew was a bad actor and likely felon.  This is obstruction of justice?  Really?  Please.  Hasn’t Bob Mueller got better things to do with his life, like torturing lizards or hunting for Bigfoot?
  • Here’s how you know Mueller has a big bag of nothing where Trump is concerned, and every leftist fake reporter in the fake media and every Democrat member of congress knows it:  None of them are talking about things like Russia Collusion or obstruction of justice anymore.  They’ve all given up on those fake narratives and are now focused on the fake narrative that the President is somehow mentally unfit for the job.
  • President Trump is completely and hilariously aware of this, and addressed it this morning with a series of tweets:
    • “Now that Russian collusion, after one year of intense study, has proven to be a total hoax on the American public, the Democrats and their lapdogs, the Fake News Mainstream Media, are taking out the old Ronald Reagan playbook and screaming mental stability and intelligence…..
    • ….Actually, throughout my life, my two greatest assets have been mental stability and being, like, really smart. Crooked Hillary Clinton also played these cards very hard and, as everyone knows, went down in flames. I went from VERY successful businessman, to top T.V. Star…..
    • ….to President of the United States (on my first try). I think that would qualify as not smart, but genius….and a very stable genius at that!”
  • Genius indeed.  And Winning.  Lots and lots of unmitigated Winning.

Just another day in Sooooooo.  Much.  Winning.  America.

That is all.

The State Of The U.S. Oil And Gas Industry Is Strong As 2017 Comes To A Close

Now that Christmas has come and gone, and my stomach somehow remains full from all the pecan pie and sweet potatoes I filled it with on Monday, it is time to take a look back at the events of 2017 and assess the status of the domestic oil and gas industry as the year comes to a close.  To paraphrase a standard line that every U.S. president uses in every annual state of the union message, the state of the industry as 2017 comes to a close is strong.

Yes, “strong” is a good word for it.  As in, surprisingly strong, unexpectedly strong, stronger than the industry had any right to realistically hope for as the year dawned 12 months ago.  Let’s look at some of the reasons why that is the case:

  • The OPEC/Russia Export Limitation Deal has been a rousing success –Yes, ok, I know this is supposed to be about the domestic industry, but the truth is that the current healthy state of the U.S. industry has been directly impacted by the success of this agreement.  Think back 13 months ago, when OPEC, Russia and the other non-OPEC nations announced this agreement:  What was their stated target price for international crude?  If you said “$65 per barrel,” you would be correct.  As I write this piece on December 26, the Brent price is trading at just above $66/bbl.  Others can quibble about the details of this deal, whether each individual country is cheating on its quota, all the other factors that go into determining the price for crude on any given day, but when your deal has, after 13 months, pretty much nailed its target outcome, that is unarguably a resounding success.
  • The WTI price is approaching $60/bbl –this measure is more directly relevant to U.S. crude production, and, after falling to ~$43 at mid-year, has risen about 38% from that low point.  A stronger crude price pretty much always improves the health of the oil and gas industry.  Much of this is due to the OPEC/Russia deal, but much of it is also because…
  • The U.S. industry responded to price fluctuations pretty much exactly as predicted a year ago – In my year-end predictions piece from a year ago, I projected that, in reaction to the comparatively high prices that existed at the end of 2016, the U.S. industry would “activate another ~ 200  drilling rigs during the first four months of 2017.”  U.S. producers actually activated almost 300 additional rigs during that 4-month period.  I further predicted that “[t]he likely result will be higher price volatility and a probable resulting fall-back to prices in the high- or even mid-40s.”  As mentioned above, the price actually dropped all the way to ~$43/bbl.  But, as expected, U.S. shale drillers then responded to that lower price by scaling back their drilling during the 2nd half of 2016, helping the price to rebound to its current, healthier level.  They will respond to this higher price by once again ramping up their drilling budgets for the first half of 2018, a factor that I will discuss in detail in my 2018 predictions piece next week.

2017 In Review: The Year Trump Changed Everything

The uniformly liberal editors at Time Magazine chose to name the ladies who led the #metoo movement to reveal the sexual predators among us as its “Person of the Year”, but that was a cop out.  While those ladies definitely deserve recognition for the impact they’ve had on society, and the myriad creeps they have exposed, there is no question at all that President Donald Trump, Time’s “Person of the Year” for 2016, should have been named again in 2017.

Trump literally dominated the stage, not just here in the United States, but across the globe, his every word analyzed, his every action criticized, his every tweet obsessed upon by millions.  Never in modern times – or indeed, in history – has a single human being remained perched atop the global public discourse throughout an entire year as Donald Trump did in 2017.  Well, except maybe 2016, when Donald Trump remained perched atop the global public discourse throughout that entire year as well.

On more than 350 of the 365 days in 2017, Today’s Campaign Update was here to help you keep up with the events of the previous 24 hours.  What follows is the Campaign Update’s attempt to sum up the entire year.  It’s a big job, and this will not be brief.  Here we go:

  • Robert Mueller led a slow-rolling coup d’etat – 2017 was the first year during which Americans were treated to 9 months of witnessing what the Campaign Update has described as a slow-rolling coup d’etat.  Germinated by an FBI director’s illegal leaking of information to the New York Times, initiated by the same Deputy Attorney General who wrote the memo advising the President to fire that same FBI director, and led by the previous FBI director in blatant coordination with high-ranking officials within the FBI and DOJ, this effort to unseat a duly-elected President has thus far led mainly to revelations of criminal wrong-doing by Hillary Clinton and high officials in the Obama Administration, many of whom remain among the leadership of the FBI and the Justice Department.
  • The GOP congress initially played along, and then woke up – Throughout much of the year, Republican chairmen over the myriad House and Senate committees running their own investigations into Russia “collusion” seemed intent on allowing their Democrat members to dominate the process.  But as Fall came around and it began to become obvious that the Trump people did nothing wrong, but the Clinton people and the DNC did a whole lot of things wrong, that tide started to turn.  By November, both Senate Judiciary Chairman Chuck Grassley and House Intelligence Chairman Devin Nunes were aggressively working to get at the real truth and uncover the obvious anti-Trump conspiracy to first interfere with, and then to overturn a duly-conducted election that was run out of the Justice Department throughout 2016 and 2017.   By December, the truth had become publicly obvious to all but the mind-numbed talking points parrots on the political left, and the leaders of the conspiracy had begun to be “reassigned” and otherwise marginalized as the process of building criminal cases against them begins.
  • Jeff Sessions appeared to sleep through most of it – meanwhile, our sleepy Attorney General, who stupidly recused himself from anything having to do with allegations that the Trump campaign “colluded” with Russian agents during the 2016 election campaign, spent most of his year seemingly in a world of his own, apparently unaware that there were any problems within the staff he was ostensibly in charge of managing.  It was only during the last few weeks of the year that his alarm clock seemed to have finally gone off, as he ordered fresh looks into the Uranium One and Project Cassandra scandals.  The jury remains out on Sessions as 2017 comes to a close, but it seems sure that, at some point during 2018, Americans will discover whether he is either a completely worthless appointee or the slyest old political fox who ever lived.  One or the other has to be true.
  • Left-wingers all over America went absolutely nuts, and stayed that way all year long – 2017 will forever be remembered as the year in which the American political left degenerated into a state of permanent outrage.  Everything – literally every.  damn.  thing. – anyone named Trump did threw liberals/progressives/socialists/communists/sjws into feeding frenzies of hysteria.  Every Trump tweet caused an immediate social media uproar.  Every Trump action resulted in hoots of protest from the leftwing fake news media.  The First Lady’s shoe choices were treated as scandals.  Trump’s very inauguration resulted in thousands of pussy-hat-adorned lunatics taking to the streets in a “Women’s March” that was organized by a supporter of Sharia Law, and attended by Harvey Weinstein, the most heinous serial abuser of women in American history.  The lunatic fringe became the lunatic norm on the American left.
  • The economy boomed – Assuming projections of GDP growth of upwards of 4% for the 4th quarter are accurate, 2017 will mark the first year in more than a decade in which the U.S. economy produced three straight quarters of at least 3% economic growth.  Manufacturing jobs – you know, those “old” jobs that Barack Obama assured us were never coming back – came back.  Unemployment approached all-time lows nationally, and reached all-time lows in at least 17 different states.  Millions of working age Americans who had over the previous decade simply given up looking for work streamed back into the workforce.  The Obama-era notions of the “new normal” of no more than 2% growth created by heavy-handed regulation and ever-growing numbers of Americans simply giving up on permanent employment have been shattered.
  • The Obama “legacy” has largely been repealed – Ok, it really wasn’t much of a “legacy” to begin with, but what there was of it has essentially disappeared during the first year of the Trump Presidency.  The biggest weakness this “legacy” had was the fact that it was implemented mainly via regulation and executive order, and thus far easier to get rid of than had it been achieved through the legislative process, as the constitution intends.  President Trump spent much of the first few months of his first year issuing executive orders that rescinded Obama’s orders, and his various cabinet secretaries devoted much of their time ensuring that the Administration meets its promise to rescind at least 2 existing regulations for every new regulation they proposed.  Indeed, that goal was vastly exceeded, as the President announced in early December that his agencies had in fact reversed almost 20 existing regulations for each new one.  Obamacare, Obama’s lone major legislative accomplishment in 8 long years, remains  sort of in place, but is being picked apart piece by piece by congress and the President.  For America’s health, it all adds up to gold, Jerry, gold!
  • The reversal of Obama policies extended to foreign affairs, too – The systematic erasure of Obama’s legacy was not limited to domestic policy – far from it.  The Obama foreign policy based on weakness, open borders, appeasement, apology and outright stupidity had been relegated to nothing more than a set of bad memories as well:
    • President Trump went on two extended international tours and neither apologized nor bowed to any foreign leader;
    • President Trump rescinded U.S. participation in the idiotic and fraudulent Paris Climate Accords;
    • Illegal immigration is down, but not out.  The rate of illegal border crossings slowed to a virtual trickle during the first half of the year, as the President’s rhetoric appeared to have a dampening effect.  But the lack of congressional action to fund the border wall or beef up the budget for border security led to a resurgence over the last few months.  We can be sure the President will re-focus on this crucial issue in the new year;
    • The Obama policy of appeasement towards North Korea es no mas, as Rocket Man is finding out the hard way;
    • ISIS is almost dead.  When Trump took office, Isis controlled about half of Syria and vast swaths of Iraq, and commanded 35,000 terrorist fighters.  Today, ISIS-controlled territory has almost disappeared entirely, as barely 1,000 fighters desperately try to remain alive, thanks pretty much entirely to the new rules of engagement that freed up the U.S. armed forces in the region to kill the despicable bastards;
    • The horrific deal with Iran entered into by Obama and John Kerry still lives, but is on life support.  Meanwhile, President Trump has implemented a new set of onerous sanctions on that terrorist-supporting government;
    • Meanwhile, President Trump has gone about forming up strong new strategic relationships with the leaders of Saudi Arabia, China and Russia based on mutual strength, replacing the years of feckless neglect and weakness practiced by Obama and his doltish and corrupt secretaries of state.
  • Tax Reform is done – After failing by a single vote to repeal Obamacare last summer, Mitch McConnell and his Republican senate caucus finally came through just before Christmas, sending the largest tax cut in American history to Trump’s desk for his signature.  The reduced personal and corporate taxes produced by this law will likely create even faster economic growth than the U.S. experienced in 2017.  Buckle up.
  • The fake news media has utterly disgraced itself – it is no longer possible to keep count of the number of times fake news outlets like CNN, the NYTimes, the Washington Post, NBC, CBS and ABC filed misleading, un-sourced or just made-up-out-of-whole-cloth “reports” designed to demean President Trump throughout 2017.  The sheer volume of false information put out into the public sphere by these and other “news” organizations is completely overwhelming.
  • The fake news media establishment, in coordination with the Democrat Party, set out at the beginning of the year to destroy a presidency.  What it achieved instead was the almost total destruction of a formerly noble profession:  journalism.  So long as Sharyl Attkisson, John Solomon, Sarah Carter and a handful of others like them continue their work, it’s not accurate to say journalism is fully dead, but it is fair to say that, after the shameful behavior of the likes of Jim Acosta and the entire staffs at the NYTimes and WaPo during 2017, it is on life support, and the prognosis is not encouraging.
  • In the end, the net effect of the fake media’s efforts to diminish President Trump is that he finishes his first calendar year in office with essentially the same public approval rating in the Rasmussen Daily Tracking poll as that enjoyed by Barack Obama at the end of 2009.  Given that well over 90% of the media’s coverage of the President has been negative, most often vindictive and inflammatory, that is an almost miraculous result.

But then, this was an almost miraculous presidency to begin with, so that outcome seems completely appropriate.

Just the first year in Donald Trump’s America.

That is all.

Mueller’s Attempted Coup d’etat Has Begun to Unravel

  • Bloomberg, just off the heels from having to retract a piece of fake news earlier in the week, has the fake news piece of the day up again this morning.  This one, titled “Mueller’s Investigation Just Got Some Insurance”, speculates that golly, that evil ol’ Donald Trump can’t fire Mueller now because, well, Mike Flynn plead guilty to lying,” or something.  Of all the fake “it sure will be hard for Donald Trump to fire Mueller now” pieces that have infested the fake news media since last March, this one may be the topper.
  • Let’s recap:  Eight months into Mueller’s sham investigation, President Donald Trump (I still never tire of typing those three words) has never given the slightest indication that he has any intention at all of firing Robert Mueller.  Oh, plenty of people think he should – I advocated that he do so back in April, as it became obvious Mueller was stacking his staff with a bunch of Clinton/Obama hacks – but neither the President himself nor anyone on his senior staff has ever uttered a word that would indicate there has been any serious consideration in the White House of firing the Special Witch Hunter, er, Counsel.
  • Never let reality get in the way of a good story. – Yet, the fake journalists at the fake media outlets keep churning out pieces like the one at Bloomberg today.  We’ve seen them from the WaPo, the NYTimes, CNN, Reuters, the Associated Press, and on and on and on.  Presumably, today was just Bloomberg’s turn in some pre-determined fake media outlet rotation.
  • Frankly, I think what we have here is a serious case of projection on the part of these fake journalists.  They all know, deep in their subconscious, that the Mueller witch hunt is illegitimate.  They’ve known from the beginning that the whole “Russia Collusion” was a fantasy, at least as it applies to the Trump people, and that Rod Rosenstein had no real justification for appointing a special counsel in the first place, unless it was to investigate the actions of the Clinton campaign.  So they keep churning out these pieces speculating that Trump is planning to dump Mueller, because, in their heart, they know Mueller – and Rosenstein – should be fired.  They both desperately need firing, just as some evil people and criminals just need killing.  Therefore, the President must be thinking about doing so, right?
  • Look at what else we have found out over the past month:  1) that the whole fake “Trump Dossier” that was compiled through collusion with agents of the Russian government was bought and paid for by the Clinton Campaign and the Democrat National Committee; 2) that it is very likely that that fake “Dossier” was used by Agent Strzok during the campaign as justification to obtain a FISA warrant to spy on the Trump campaign and, after the election, the Trump transition team; 3) that senior Obama officials illegally “unmasked” members of the Trump camp hundreds of times as they were spied upon; 4) that Agent Strzok and former bi-polar FBI Director James “Leakey” Comey conspired to exonerate Hillary Clinton from any wrongdoing in her email scandal months before Ms. Clinton and other witnesses had even been interviewed in the investigation; and 5) that the DOJ Inspector General’s office has for months been conducting a broad-ranging investigation into all of this, and will be issuing its findings early next year.
  • If you doubt that that IG investigation is serious, read the following passage from Thursday’s testimony by FBI Director Christopher Wray:  “I think of the Inspector General’s investigation as de novo in one sense, in which that it’s objective, arms length, no skin in the game, if you will. But you’re right, the Inspector General is not second guessing prosecutorial decisions and things like that. However, the Inspector General is looking at the very important question of whether or not improper political considerations factored into the decision making. If he were to conclude that’s what happened, then I think at that point were we’re in a situation were we have to assess what else might need to be done to unring that bell.”  [emphasis added]
  • That answer was provided in response to a question about what the FBI is doing to investigate all the obvious shenanigans that Comey and Strzok were pulling with their sham investigation into the Clinton email scandal.  When the Director of the FBI speculates in an open hearing that he might have to “unring that bell”, i.e., re-investigate the obviously false conclusion that the Pantsuit Princess did nothing wrong, it means he thinks there is a high likelihood that he will indeed be going down that road in the near future.
  • The bottom line here is this:  The Mueller “investigation” has been irrevocably revealed to be nothing more than a political hit job, a slow-rolling coup’ d’etat designed to un-do the results of a duly-conducted national election in the United States of America.  It is not just an assault on the Trump Administration, it is an assault on our entire democracy, sponsored by the Clinton camp, holdovers from the Obama Administration and the embeded “deep state” bureaucracies.  The fake journalists in the fake news media understand all this, if only subconsciously, and so they keep churning out these “Trump Can’t Fire Mueller Now!” pieces because they know that Mueller and his little toady Rosenstein, need firing.
  • Meanwhile, as the fake news media obsesses over the Russia Collusion fantasy play, President Trump sits in the Oval Office, systematically reversing the entirety of Barack Obama’s anti-American legacy, almost unnoticed and barely opposed.  He sees no reason at all to fire Robert Mueller or Rod Rosenstein, because, hey, you should never interrupt your opposition when they are in the process of self-destructing.

Just another day in Mueller’s unraveling coup d’etat America.

That is all.

Mueller’s Gestapo Tactics Only Reinforce The Reasons Why Trump Won in 2016

  • This stuff is why Trump is President. – If nothing else good comes of it, Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation is serving as a stark reminder to all Trump voters of why they voted for him.  The President himself reminded the nation on Monday morning that, while General Mike Flynn has been indicted for making false statements to investigators, Hillary Clinton was awarded a free pass by former FBI Director James Comey in July 2016, after she had made a raft of false statements during her FBI interview.  This morning, the Daily Caller reminds us that Clinton’s two senior aides, Huma Abedin and Cheryl Mills also gave heinously misleading testimony to FBI investigators, again with no consequences.
  • Of all the myriad reasons why Trump voters decided in 2016 that the DC Swamp needed draining and Trump was just the guy to do it, this kind of selective application of the law was probably reason #1.  Robert Mueller and James Comey obviously believe that America has a bifurcated legal system – one system for the hundreds of millions of ordinary American citizen rabble out here in flyover country, and another for members in good standing of the Ruling Class, like Hillary, Huma and Cheryl.  This makes perfect sense to Mueller and Comey, since they are the de facto henchmen for that Ruling Class.
  • Those of you who are wondering why it is that the voters in Alabama appear to be set on sending Roy Moore to the U.S. Senate in spite of all the women accusers arrayed against him, it’s mainly because they know that his opponent, Democrat Doug Jones, would go to Washington and become just another reliable lapdog for the Swamp rulers.  These voters know that, whatever Moore may have done back during the Carter and Reagan Administrations, he plans to go to DC to help Trump clean the damn place out.  There’s really no more to it than that.
  • Speaking of Mueller’s absurd Special Counsel “investigation”, it appears now he has completely abandoned any effort at all to investigate the Democrat/fake news media invented fantasy of the Trump camp “colluding” with Russia to influence the election.  Writing in the National Review, Andrew McCarthy, himself  a former federal prosecutor, believes that the Flynn plea deal means that Mueller’s grand strategy now is to build an obstruction of justice case against the President.
  • Given that the President really can’t be prosecuted for obstructing justice, since, as Harvard Law Professor Alan Dershowitz pointed out on Fox News on Monday, he is the chief law enforcement officer of the United States, Mueller’s new focus means he is not working to actually bring charges against President Trump.  Rather, he is working to build a case for impeachment by congress.
  • If that’s really the strategy from the Special Counsel’s office, it simply points up how critical the 2018 mid-term congressional elections really are.  If American voters award control of either house of congress to the Democrats, then our country will literally become paralyzed for two solid years as the hyper-partisan Dems do literally nothing but try to impeach a sitting President for “crimes” that simply do not exist.
  • Another big leftist hope making the rounds of the internet currently is that Mueller may be trying to build a case against Trump for violating the Logan Act, for asking Flynn to make contact with Russia while he was still President-elect.  Here is the relevant text of the 1799 Logan Act:
  • “Any citizen of the United States, wherever he may be, who, without authority of the United States, directly or indirectly commences or carries on any correspondence or intercourse with any foreign government or any officer or agent thereof, with intent to influence the measures or conduct of any foreign government or of any officer or agent thereof, in relation to any disputes or controversies with the United States, or to defeat the measures of the United States, shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than three years, or both.
  • Now, here’s why the Logan Act, in its 218 year life, has never, not one time, resulted in a prosecution of anyone:  If you take that text literally, John McCain alone would have been found guilty of violating the Logan Act half a dozen times since Trump took office, and probably 50 times during the presidency of George W. Bush, as McCain has made a frequent habit of making speeches in foreign lands that are highly critical of U.S. foreign policy, but only during Republican Administrations.  Liberal hero Ted Kennedy wrote letters to Soviet Union leaders, actively seeking their intervention in the 1984 elections against Ronald Reagan.  On and on and on this list could go.
  • If Mueller really is working on a Logan Act case, then everyone on the White House should be breaking out the champagne and celebrating, because that cat won’t flush.
  • The bottom line here is that the whole “Russia Collusion” fantasy play is officially dead.  By mounting his incredibly biased, highly-selective “investigation” in such a public way, Robert Mueller is only reinforcing support for President Trump among those who voted for him in 2016.  Mueller has now replaced Mitch McConnell as the official poster child for the movement out here in flyover country to clean out the DC Swamp.  If the President fired him tomorrow, there is not a single Trump supporter at this point who would bat an eye about it, because they know who the bad guy in this fantasy play really is.

Just another day in Ding, Dong, Russia Collusion Is Dead America.

That is all.

The Fake News Media Is Poisoning Our Society

Today’s Campaign Update

  • The fake journalists at the Washington Post took a day off from scandal-mongering and published a hilariously absurd puff piece about the poor, poor Podesta brothers, John and Tony, and their fall from grace.  The Post’s fake reporters appear to be on the verge of immolating themselves over the fact that Tony Podesta’s high-powered lobbying firm is apparently closing its doors on November 15, as its principal has become at least nominally entangled in Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s “investigation”.  I’ll believe that Podesta is actually in jeopardy in any way whenever charges are actually filed, which of course has yet to happen.
  • As for John Podesta, the Post portrays him as the quiet brother, the brother who would never, never, ever do anything wrong or unethical, despite the fact that the public has been treated to hundreds of his emails that indicate otherwise.  John Podesta, of course, was campaign chairman for the pathetic Hillary Clinton fiasco, and anyone who voluntarily entangles themselves with the Clintons gets the sort of reputational stains they deserve.
  • Speaking of the Mueller investigation, which is supposedly about allegations that the Trump campaign attempted to collude with Russia during the 2016 elections, President Trump chatted with Vladimir Putin for a few minutes at the APEC meetings on Sunday, and all the fake journalists in our fake news media predictably went berserk.  The President was especially slammed for saying that he believes Putin means what he says when he denies having made any effort to influence the U.S. election.
  • Mr. Trump later clarified that statement, saying that, while he believes Mr. Putin sincerely believes what he says, that doesn’t mean that other Russian elements did not spread propaganda during our elections, something they’ve been doing for decades.  Given that no one has presented the public with a shred of evidence personally implicating Putin in any of the Russian influence allegations, that is a very reasonable position for the President to take.
  • The President also very effectively responded to the uproar with a series of tweets, where he now has 280 characters instead of just 140 to make his points:
    • “Met with President Putin of Russia who was at  meetings. Good discussions on Syria. Hope for his help to solve, along with China the dangerous North Korea crisis. Progress being made.”
    • “When will all the haters and fools out there realize that having a good relationship with Russia is a good thing, not a bad thing. There always playing politics – bad for our country. I want to solve North Korea, Syria, Ukraine, terrorism, and Russia can greatly help!”
    • “Does the Fake News Media remember when Crooked Hillary Clinton, as Secretary of State, was begging Russia to be our friend with the misspelled reset button? Obama tried also, but he had zero chemistry with Putin.”
  • No rational person would find anything unreasonable in any of that, but our fake national news media has collectively portrayed it as the brayings of a mad jackass.
  • We are in a very, very dangerous place in our country’s relationship with Russia.  We have an entire political party – the Democrats – virtually our entire news media establishment, and rancid Republican war-mongers like John McCain and Lindsey Graham, all of whom appear to have a goal of pushing the United States into a shooting war with Russia.  They have all been trying to push us down that road for several years now, and appear to be literally insane with rage that our current POTUS thinks it would be a better idea to form a constructive relationship with such a powerful adversary.
  • Given that President Trump is correct when he says that Russia’s interests are aligned with American interests when it comes to terrorism, Syria, North Korea and other matters, there is absolutely no reason why our country should be constantly assuming the hostile posture towards Russia that the Democrats/media/RINO war-mongers promote.
  • Our national news media is poisoning our society.  They are endangering our future, and the futures of our children and our grandchildren with their constant collusion with the war-mongers and other swamp creatures in our government.  We are going to soon reach a crisis point at which the threat they represent must somehow be dealt with effectively, or we will end up in a conflict that need not happen.

Just another day in poisonous fake news media America.

That is all.
