CNN Airs The Hillary And Harvey Show – Rampant Prevarication Ensues

Today’s Campaign Update

(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

  • Exactly how misplaced are our Attorney General’s priorities?  Let me show you. – The Justice Department announced on Wednesday that the FBI was opening an investigation into the possibly illegal activities of…wait for it…wait for it…Harvey Weinstein!  I swear I don’t make this stuff up.  So, Attorney General Jeff Sessions is perfectly capable of having the FBI investigate the sexual proclivities of a film producer, but he appears to be utterly incapable of investigating the possible illegal activities of Hillary Clinton, Susan Rice, Samantha Power, John Brennan or anyone else who served in the Obama Administration.  This guy is worthless.  What a waste.
  • In Other Harvey Weinstein news… – Hillary Clinton, in a predictably softball interview on CNN Wednesday, told fake journalist Fareed Zakaria that she was “sick” and “appalled” to hear about her “friend” Harvey Weinstein’s behavior towards women.  This is truly hard to believe.  The Clintons have been paling around with the big Hollywood muckety-muck for more than 20 years.  He’s held fundraisers for both of them, personally given to their campaigns, bundled hundreds of thousands of dollars to their campaigns, and given as much as a quarter million dollars to the Clinton Crime Family fake Foundation.
  • The thought that the Clintons had no idea about the true nature of their “friend” strains all credibility to the breaking point.  Mrs. Clinton, after all, is supposed to be just the smartest woman on earth according to her brain-dead sycophants.  Her claim to have known nothing is too ridiculous to even contemplate.  But of course, Zakaria just nodded his silly little head at his heroine’s answers and moved on to his next silly question, because he’s such a silly little man.
  • Hillary assured the audience that she would be donating Weinstein’s campaign “contributions” to various women’s charities, which is great.  She did not specify whether that means just the funds Weinstein personally contributed specifically to her various campaigns, or would include all the money he bundled together and raised for her at the various fundraisers he hosted for her.  Nor did she say anything about the big sum he tossed into her family’s fake foundation.  Unless some third party keeps pressure on her – which we know the fake news media will not do – it’s a safe bet she will donate the smallest sum possible, and whatever she does donate will go to various “causes” like Planned Parenthood and Emily’s List, which will just funnel the money right on over to the Democrat Party.  No one does money laundering like the Clintons.
  • At one point, Mrs. Clinton chuckled and claimed “I give 10% of my income to charity every year, after all…”.  As the National Review pointed out last year, the great bulk of Mrs. Clinton’s “charitable giving” goes to… wait for it…The Clinton Foundation and events associated with it!  Of course it does.
  • And if you think any of this Weinstein scandal is just Tiddly-Winks, know that the goons who run Twitter suspended actress Rose McGowan’s account Wednesday night.  This action was taken at the behest of someone, because the Twitter goons don’t just go around suspending accounts absent a complaint.  McGowan had been using her account to “out” people, like Ben Affleck, who she believes (most likely knows) have been lying in their public statements about what they knew about Weinstein before the NYTimes published its story about him last week.  In taking this action, which she began before Weinstein lost his power, she has distinguished herself as pretty much the only admirable character in this particular Hollywood production.  So naturally, the Twitter goons went after her.  Somebody with a lot of influence is very, very worried about what Ms. McGowan might say about them.  You seriously can’t make this stuff up.
  • “America’s conscience” has got some ‘splainin’ to do – Some enterprising person unearthed a video of talk show host and bad comic Jimmy Kimmel – who one idiot opinion writer dubbed “America’s conscience” early this week – doing a ‘man on the street’ routine in which he has something stuffed in the crotch of his pants and asks girls passing by to alternately grab it or “put your mouth on it” to see if they can tell what it is.  For those who do not know, Mr. Kimmel was years ago a host of something called “The Man Show”, a program in which the humiliation of young women was a nightly occurrence.  I’m not sure America really needs that as its “conscience.”
  • Meanwhile, Napa and Sonoma Valleys are burning up, 21 people are dead, and everybody – including me, sadly – is talking about the wretched Harvey Weinstein.  God bless the souls of those who have perished, and those brave first responders who are working around the clock to contain the fires, and God help the hundreds who are still missing.  What a terrible tragedy this is.

Just another day in scandal-plagued America.

That is all.

Why Is The NYTimes Talking About Melania Trump’s Shoe Choices?

Today’s Campaign Update

(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

  • The fake journalists at the NYTimes, always on the cutting edge of news that no one living more than 2 miles from Central Park cares about, carried a feature piece in its fake coverage of Hurricane Harvey  focused on….wait for it…wait for it…the shoes worn by First Lady Melania Trump!  I swear I don’t make this stuff up.
  • The piece, titled “Melania Trump, Off to Texas, Finds Herself on Thin Heels,” was written by some smarmy elitist named Vanessa Friedman, and carried in the fake newspaper’s Fashion and Style section.  The big news the Times found relevant to someone somewhere was that the First Lady wore her traditional spike heels when exiting the White House to board Marine One, but was wearing sneakers by the time she arrived in Corpus Christi, Texas with President Trump in a show of support for the people of Texas.
  • In justifying spending 700 words or so on this insignificant subject, the author pretends to simply be reflecting a major social media controversy. She proves said controversy exists by citing a single tweet from the terminally insipid Chelsea Handler, along with a tweet from some anonymous Twitter user.  Yes, because we all should really, really, really care what Chelsea Handler thinks of the First Lady’s shoe attire.
  • In response to the Times, Stephanie Grisham, the spokesman for the First Lady, said “It’s sad that we have an active and ongoing natural disaster in Texas, and people are worried about her shoes.”  Yes, exactly.  But this is the NYTimes, and creating fake controversies is apparently the only reason it exists anymore.
  • And can we be really honest about why Chelsea Handler feels the need to take shots at the First Lady’s choice of shoes?  She’s jealous.  Seriously, Chelsea Handler is jealous because – let’s be honest – Melania Trump rocks in stiletto heels, something Ms. Handler would obviously love to be able to do.  The reality is that the First Lady rocked in those sneakers, too, which no doubt drove Ms. Handler into a vodka-fueled rage.
  • Envy and jealousy are ugly emotions.  Nowhere do they reveal themselves more starkly and succinctly than in snarky, 140-character messages on Twitter.  And nowhere do they manifest more pettily than on the Fashion and Style pages of the NYTimes.
  • But it wasn’t just the NYTimes – fake news sites like the Daily Beast, The Washington Post and the Hollywood Reporter also carried similarly snarky commentary on the First Lady’s fashion choice.  It must be sad to have nothing better to do with your time while pretending to be a working journalist.  Really, really sad.
  • Writing for the Washington Post, fake journalist Robin Givhan tried to dress her piece up as semi-serious commentary in which the First Lady’s shoe choices serve as a metaphor for a presidency that is out of touch with the common man, as if a fake journalist with the WaPo has any idea what the “common man” thinks about anything:  “Melania Trump is the kind of woman who travels to a flood-ravaged state in a pair of black snakeskin stilettos. Heels this high are not practical. But Trump is not the kind of woman who has to be practical. Heels this high are not comfortable. Comfort is not the point. Neither hers nor yours…Heading off to Texas, she looked dressed to view a natural disaster from a distance, from on high, not up close. Her ensemble implied that people’s personal stories would be ferried to her after they had been vetted and tidied up.”
  • Wow.  Robert Duval’s character in True Grit would have read that passage and said “I call that bold talk for a fake journalist sitting comfortably in her cube funded by the world’s richest man.”  Again, look at the jealousy flowing out of Ms. Givhan’s sentences.  The envy.  The rage.
  • Here’s reality:  If Melania Trump’s husband were a Democrat, she’d be universally hailed as America’s foremost fashion icon, and praised by the very same jealous liberals who today are bemoaning her choice of shoes.  Melania Trump looks fantastic in anything she wears, and this obviously drives people like Ms. Givhan crazy.
  • Melania Trump is obviously very conscious of the image she projects in her role as America’s First Lady, as any First Lady should be.  She is obviously most comfortable in public wearing high heels.  If this drives fake journalists at the NYTimes and Wapo, and leftist c-list celebrities into jealous rages, so be it.
  • I can’t believe I just wrote 744 words on this subject, but there it is.

Just another day in jealous liberal rage America.

That is all.

So Much Fake News, So Little Time

Today’s Campaign Update

(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

  • “I said that last night  and again tonight, but nobody said that.  Wait, did I just say that?” – After spending an hour Tuesday night fake moderating a panel during which President Trump was referred to as “unhinged” and other synonyms of that word dozens of times, CNN fake host Don Lemon responded “nobody said that about the President” last night when a guest challenged him for calling the President “crazy” and “unhinged.”  Because, after all, this is CNN.
  • They’re like a modern-day Martin and Lewis, only without the talent. – During that same segment, both Lemon and fellow CNN fake host Brian Stelter repeatedly claimed that Ronald Reagan suffered from Alzheimer’s disease during the second term of his presidency, a complete lie make up by former Fox News Host Bill O’Reilly in a recent book.  That lie has been thoroughly debunked by Reagan’s doctors – who did not diagnose the ex-President with the disease until 1994, five years after he had left office – and dozens of Reagan’s colleagues.  But Lemon and Stelter did what CNN’s fake hosts do when caught in lies, and repeated it over and over and over again.
  • Hey, if he can lie about dead guys, he can lie about live ones too. – Perhaps that skill for making up lies about long-dead American figures that fill best-selling books is why CNN’s honchos are reportedly negotiating to bring O’Reilly in as a fake host for their own network.  They obviously have an eye for appropriate CNN fake talent.
  • But lying, vindictive fake journalists are not limited to CNN.  Wall Street Journal Editor Gerard Baker found that out the  hard way on Wednesday.  Having grown weary of seeing his own reporters exhibit an anti-Trump bias and disregard for truth everyone is used to seeing from the NYTimes and WaPo, Baker lectured his staff to “stick to the facts” when reporting on the President and his administration. Before he could say Trump Derangement Syndrome, Baker found that his personal emails had been leaked to the public.  This behavior is obviously an epidemic within the journalistic profession, not something that is limited to employment at specific outlets.
  • And the lying at media outlets is not limited to fake journalists. – ESPN President John Skipper is so damn stupid that he actually decided to defend his moronic, indefensible decision to deny play-by-play guy Robert Lee the chance to call a University of Virginia football game because his name is, well, Robert Lee.  Skipper issued a statement on Wednesday in which he now claims the person who initiated discussion about the assignment was Mr. Lee himself, a claim that is patently unbelievable.  Mr. Lee, who is an Asian American who will never in his life be mistaken as a descendant of Confederate General Robert E. Lee, isn’t commenting on the matter.  If a fish rots from the head down, ESPN is well and truly rotted.
  • So, you’re saying the truth hurts… – The NYTimes published a story in its Thursday edition headlined “Trump, Calling Journalists ‘Sick People’, Puts Media On Edge.”  Given that only a ‘sick person’ would write such a headline, pen the article underneath it, put it on Page 1 and call it “news,” it appears President Trump is onto something.  You keep hoping that these sick people in the journalist “profession” might eventually take a step back and engage in a little group introspection.  But self-awareness is never a strong point in “sick people.”
  • Bartender, I’ll have whatever those 5% are drinking, and make it a double. – A new Rasmussen survey reveals that 47% of likely voters believe that “when reporters write or talk about President Trump, they are trying to block the president from passing his agenda. Forty-one percent think members of the media are simply interested in reporting the news in an unbiased manner, while 5 percent feel they are trying to help Trump pass his agenda.”  Proving, of course, that 41% of likely voters are hopeless nitwits.

Just another day in fake news media America.

The Media Narrative Is Dead! Long Live The New Narrative!

Today’s Campaign Update

(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

  • Just because Russia Collusion is dead doesn’t mean you’re not still being brainwashed. – So, the whole Russia Collusion fantasy play has cratered.  No one was buying it, investigations by half a dozen congressional committees and a special counsel haven’t been able to come up with any real evidence for it, and the public didn’t care.  Thus, as soon as Imran Awan, the Pakistani “IT expert” who was paid millions of dollars by dozens of congressional Democrats over a decade to perform duties they cannot explain, was arrested while trying to flee the country, the fake news media and their Democrat clients dropped Russia Collusion like a hot potato and staged a riot in Charlottesville – a riot we now know was organized on both sides by Barack Obama disciples – so the narrative could shift to ‘President Trump’s a racist!!!!!!’
  • That narrative has lasted for all of two weeks, but now that it has become obvious that the vast majority of Americans are opposed to the media/Democrat tactic of trying to tie statues of confederate leaders who fought a war 152 years ago to the racial views of the current President, the media/Democrat axis of sedition are moving the narrative again.
  • The new narrative that you are being brainwashed to believe is what we’ll call the 25th Amendment narrative.  That narrative will attempt to convince a critical mass of Americans that President Trump is crazy – “unhinged” was the favorite term used by pretty much every TV talking head outside of Fox News on Tuesday – and thus, must be removed from office and replaced by Vice President Mike Pence under the terms of the 25th Amendment to the Constitution.
  • Thus it was that on Tuesday, after the President had made a nationally televised speech on Afghanistan that scored incredibly well in snap polls and focus groups, the fake editors and reporters at the NYTimes trotted out a story filled with unsourced quotes from anonymous “sources” who claim that Mitch McConnell is now whispering to confidants that President Trump must be impeached.
  • And thus it was that, following the President’s bombastic rally speech in Phoenix – related to which it was clear that the only “unhinged” participants were the leftist protesters who were paid to be there by Democrat-supported organizers – both CNN and MSNBC followed with panels filled with leftist talking heads who chanted “unhinged” at every opportunity.  CNN even went so far as to trot out serial perjurer and former Director of National Intelligence James Clapper to sagely pronounce the President “unfit to hold the office.”  Hey, at least he didn’t say “unhinged” – a little variety in wording is a good tactic for trying to fool viewers that you aren’t just sitting there parroting DNC talking points.
  • So this is the new focus, and it will become ubiquitous for awhile, until the fake media/Democrats figure out that isn’t going to work, either.  Then they’ll move onto some other narrative, and will keep doing so until a) Donald Trump has served out his two full terms in office, or b) they succeed in creating a second U.S. Civil War, which of course is their goal.
  • Nothing says “unhinged” like denying work to an Asian guy because his name is Robert Lee. – Yes, that just happened.  The leftist nitwits who, like a colony of termites have infested ESPN over the past decade, actually did announce that they were denying Mr. Lee his gig as play-by-play announcer for the University of Virginia’s season opening football game because his name is the same as the Confederate general, Robert E. Lee.  ESPN’s leadership made that announcement proudly, obviously in  the belief that they are just the bestest people in the world for being so “sensitive” and for not wanting to trigger all the snowflake students at UVA, who, after all, might well otherwise think that their football game was being called by a 200 year-old leader of the South.  Breathtaking.
  • But it gets even better. – A Catholic priest in Arlington, Virginia has been suspended from his job after it was revealed that he was a member of the Ku Klux Klan in the 1980s.  My goodness.  Obviously, this priest is not a Democrat, because if he were, he’d be lionized by the Clintons and Obamas and the CNNs and the NYTimes as a hero, as former Grand Kleagle of the Ku Klux Klan Robert Byrd was during his 40 years in the United States Senate.

Just another day in constantly shifting narrative America.

That is all.

Fake News, Real News, And Winning

Today’s Campaign Update

(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

  • Tired of winning yet? – the Dow closed at yet another all-time record high on Tuesday, now approaching the 22,000 level.  It has now risen almost 20% since Election Day.  Second quarter GDP growth – the first full quarter of the Trump presidency – was pegged at 2.6%, equaling the highest growth rate the economy ever saw during Barack Obama’s 8-year regulatory free-for-all.  We should expect to see even higher growth rates as the current administration continues to remove the regulatory shackles from the nation’s industries.
  • Couldn’t happen to a nicer guy. –  Sara Carter at Circa News, one of the handful of real working journalists still active in the nation’s capital, reports that former Obama National Security Advisor Ben Rhodes has been added to the House Intelligence Committee’s growing list of suspects in the illegal unmasking investigation.  Rhodes joins the mugshot lineup that already includes Obama-era luminaries like Samantha Power, John Brennan and Susan Rice.  You may remember Rhodes, who is most famous for openly admitting to an interviewer that the Obama Administration and fake news media regularly coordinated narratives and messages.
  • My God, dude, have you no life at all? – After President Trump used the term “Paddy Wagon” in a speech to law enforcement officials last week, the fake editors at the Washington Post thought it would be a great idea to run a 700 word dissertation by some guy named James Mulvaney about why this “slur” is “insulting…to Irish Americans”.  Mr. Mulvaney, like almost every leftist in the United States, has no sense of humor.  Fair warning to parents of college-age children with law-degree aspirations:  Mulvaney is adjunct professor at John Jay College of Criminal Justice, at least if the WaPo can be believed on that point, which as we have found, is an unsafe assumption at best.  The lesson here is, don’t let your kids attend John Jay College.
  •  Wait, wasn’t Bain Capital the Devil to you guys just 5 years ago? – Don’t look now, but Politico reports that Barack Obama has decided that the Democrats’ best hope to run against Donald Trump in 2020 is…wait for it…wait for it…DEVAL PATRICK!  What’s that?  The name sounds sort familiar but you really have no idea who that is?  Yeah, that’s the point.  For those who, like me, had a hard time recalling exactly who this clown is while reading that story, Mr. Patrick is an ex-Governor of Massachusetts, something that, in addition to being an executive at Bain Capital, he has in common with Mitt Romney.  You remember Bain Capital, right?  That’s the firm that, in 2012, was portrayed by the Obama campaign and the fake news media as representing everything that is wrong with America.  Five years later, it’s no big deal.  But whatever, trust me on this:  If the 2020 Democrat field is made up of 80 year-old communist Bernie Sanders, 74 year-old lifetime criminal Hillary Clinton, 70 year-old fake Indian Elizabeth Warren and an obscure ex-Governor of Massachusetts, the Party might as well not even bother.
  • How did this get into the NYTimes? – Don’t look now, but a member of the editorial staff at the NYTimes somehow slipped an op-ed piece past his colleagues titled “When Progressives Embrace Hate”.  Nevermind, of course, that American progressives have embraced hate since the day American progressives became a thing, this is the NYTimes we’re talking about here.  This is actual (pardon the pun) progress!  The editor, Bari Weiss, writes about 800 words about how awful it is that the organizers of the Women’s March last January included the hate-mongering Islamist Linda Sarsour, and how repugnant it is that this hateful woman continues to be embraced by American progressives.  That’s all true, and it is indeed nice of at least one person on the NYTimes editorial board to finally notice Ms. Sarsour’s true nature, but it’s hilarious that Ms. Weiss thinks this is all somehow a surprise.  Had she been paying any attention at all, she would know that the entire progressive philosophy is based on hate.  But, to quote the great John McClain, “Welcome to the party, pal.”

Just another day in fake news media America.

The Times Slimes Trump Jr., But No Real Scandal Here

Today’s Campaign Update

(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

  • Coverage of politics by the U.S. fake news media is filled with rank double standards, with Republicans always being held to a far higher standard of behavior than Democrats.  But none is ranker than the media double standard when it comes to dealings and entanglements with Russia.  The latest sliming of Donald Trump Jr. by the NYTimes and other fake news media outlets is just the latest in a long, long line of examples of the media’s literal insanity when it comes to matters involving Russia.
  • First, let’s look at what Mr. Trump Jr. is alleged to have done.  As of this morning, he is alleged by the NYTimes – on the word of “three people with knowledge of the situation”, what ever the hell that means – to have received an unsolicited email last June from some guy named Rob Goldstone, who had no official involvement with the Trump campaign.  In that email, Mr. Goldstone is alleged by the NYTimes to have encouraged Trump Jr. to meet with a woman – who had no position with the Russian government – who claimed that she had damaging information about the Hillary Clinton campaign, including information indicating that the Russian government was funding that campaign and the Democratic National Committee.  (Mr. Goldstone, by the way, denies making any such statement in his email.  But nevermind that, the Times is intent on making this into a scandal.)
  • Mr. Trump Jr. did take a meeting with this woman who, as it turned out, had no such information about the Russians, and instead really wanted to talk about an American law that prevents Americans from adopting Russian babies.  The meeting quickly broke up, and everyone went on their merry way – this, no one disputes. This, the NYTimes wants you all to believe is a major scandal.
  • Now, let’s look at what the NYTimes does not consider to be a scandal:  While serving as Secretary of State, Ms. Clinton brokered a deal that turned over roughly 20% of U.S. uranium reserves to a handful of Russian companies.  Shortly after that deal was finalized, those companies “contributed” millions of dollars to the Clinton Crime Family Foundation.  The NYTimes finds nothing suspicious about any of this at all.
  • Clinton Campaign Manager John Podesta has made millions of dollars from investments and sitting on boards of various Russian companies, and in fact maintained significant Russian investments while managing the Clinton campaign.  The NYTimes finds no issue with any of that.
  • During the 2012 presidential campaign, then-President Barack Hussein Obama was caught on an open mic whispering to Russian Foreign Minister Dmitry Medvedev “On all these issues, but particularly missile defense, this, this can be solved, but it’s important for him (Vladimir Putin) to give me space.  This is my last election.  After my election, I have more flexibility.”  Despite the clear message being sent here – that Obama felt the need to act tough towards Russia during the campaign, but would be more amenable once re-elected – the NYTimes saw nothing scandalous in this behavior.
  • Going back even further in time, to 1984, liberal hero Ted Kennedy flew to Moscow and literally begged the Russian government to intervene in the U.S. presidential election in a failed effort to prevent the re-election of Ronald Reagan.  No one at the NYTimes saw any issue with that at all, and Mr. Kennedy was able to serve in the U.S. Senate until the day he died.
  • Here’s reality:  During the campaign, representatives of both the Trump and the Clinton campaigns no doubt held dozens, if not hundreds of meetings with third parties claiming to have damaging information about the opposition.  This is an integral part of what every campaign refers to as “opposition research”, and these campaigns will take any real, true information they can get their hands on, regardless of the source.  There is nothing scandalous about anything we’ve learned about Trump Jr.’s meeting with this woman thus far, and damn sure nothing illegal about any of it.  Anyone who says otherwise is just a partisan hack, which of course, accurately describes everyone who works for the NYTimes.
  • In addition to that reality, given the many episodes in which stories published by the NYTimes about this presidency based on anonymous sources have been clearly demonstrated to be utterly false, there is a greater than 50/50 chance that this latest bit of journalistic malfeasance will ultimately have to be corrected or withdrawn.
  • But for the time being, this will be the story on which the entire fake news media obsesses as the Trump Administration continues to systematically erase the Obama policy legacy from the federal books.  Seems like a fair trade to me.

Just another day in fake news media America.

That is all.

All The News That’s Fit To Fake

Today’s Campaign Update

(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

Indications abound that the Russia collusion fantasy play is dead as a doorknob.  Here are some examples:

  • Writing in the Washington Post, fake columnist David Ignatius, a regular guest on “Morning Joe”, posted a column titled “Working With Russia Might Be The Best Path To Peace In Syria”.  I kid you not, somehow a piece with that theme made it past the WaPo’s fake editors, despite the fact that the WaPo has for the last two years been brutally pounding Donald Trump for even thinking such a thing, and the fact that the fake newspaper has willingly participated in supporting a Democrat/fake media-invented fantasy that alleges that Trump is in Vladimir Putin’s pocket.
  • Next up is this story in Politico, in which several leading Democrats are quoted moving the goal posts on how the fantasy play’s final scene may eventually play out.  Here, instead of alleging that Trump or people associated with this campaign may have somehow coordinated efforts with Russia to “hack” the U.S. election system, the Democrats have now begun to speculate that some nebulous, unidentified “Americans” or “American insiders” – whatever the hell that means – might have been the culprits who held the Russians to….ummmm…to do….welllll….to hack into….ummmm….ok they have no idea what any of this even means.
  • Then there is this unintentionally hilarious defense from The Hill of the fake news media’s having to retract a raft of fake stories and fire a bunch of people in recent weeks:  “Together, the corrections and retractions amount to only a few stories out of the thousands published every day. But the high-profile nature of the errors hurts the media’s credibility at a time when the press is under more scrutiny than ever before, giving new political ammunition to critics of the mainstream press.”  In other words, the fake journalists at The Hill aren’t at all concerned about the fakeness of the stories on the various Democrat fantasy plays, they’re worried that the retractions and firings are helping the public catch onto the truth.  Typical.
  • And the fakery is not limited to the Russia Collusion fantasy.  The Associated Press had to retract a fake story late last week in which it alleged that EPA Administrator Scott Pruitt is unjustly tilting environmental policy in favor of chemical companies.  The key foundation for the story was a meeting the AP said Mr. Pruitt had with Dow Chemical CEO Andrew Liveris.  The problem is, an investigation by Breitbart revealed that no such meeting ever took place.  The AP initially refused to retract or even correct its fake story after Breitbart had notified its fake editors that their mendacity had been discovered, and only relented after the story went viral on Twitter and other social media.
  • And hey, occasionally one of these fake news outlets even files a fake story without even knowing it’s fake.  Take the NYTimes, for instance, which filed a story on Tuesday about the Crazy Little Fat Guy who runs North Korea.  In the story, the NYTimes’ fake writers quote a Twitter account named @DPRK_News, which it identifies as a North Korean state-run media outlet.  Only problem is, that Twitter account is a well-known fake.  Upon learning of this, the fake editors at the fake newspaper issued a meek “correction” to their fake story.

Seriously, you would think that at some point, these fake editors and reporters would get tired of having to issue all these retractions and corrections, and maybe start focusing on real news.  But then, that would make them real editors and reporters, and none of them remember what that even feels like anymore, assuming they ever did.

Just another day in fake news media America.

That is all.

CNN is Having a Bad Week; The Trump Administration Should Make it Worse

Today’s Campaign Update

(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

  • Two fake reporters and a fake editor resigned from CNN on Monday amid the fallout from the #fakenews network’s having to retract and apologize for yet another fake story on what it likes to call “RussiaGate”.  Interestingly, one of the fake reporters, a guy named Eric Lichtbau, had recently come to CNN from the equally fake NYTimes.  Apparently, infesting the already fake CNN with the “standards” of the NYTimes only served to compound fakery on top of fakery.  But don’t worry about CNN – journalism schools turn out thousands of great fake journalists every semester, so they’ll be able to just plug three more news fakers in and keep their fake news operation running like a finely-tuned fake machine.
  • In case you hadn’t noticed (and most normal Americans haven’t), the White House has taken to holding most of its press briefings off-camera in recent weeks.  This has set CNN’s prissy White House fake reporter, Jim Acosta, off on a series of on-air rants with several of CNN’s fake news hosts.  Over the past week, Mr. Acosta has called White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer “worthless”, accused the White House of suppressing the news, and of “black-balling” him and his fake news network.  Yesterday, after he had repeatedly heckled Spicer during the daily press briefing, Acosta found his seat moved to the back row at President Trump’s even with the Prime Minister of India later in the day.
  • All of this brings to my mind the question of why the White House continues to allow Mr. Acosta and his fellow fake journalists at CNN access to the White House at all?  In the wake of the recent Harvard study that found that CNN’s fake reporting on the Trump Administration is 93% hostile, it is more blatantly obvious than ever that Mr. Acosta and his CNN colleagues are nothing more than Democrat operatives with press credentials.  CNN is, after all, the same network that fed debate questions to Hillary Clinton in advance during the campaign.  If you are going to allow CNN to ask questions at daily press briefings, you might as well invite the DNC over to do the same.
  • I’ve written this before, but it bears repeating:  The President of the United States and his press people have an obligation to tell the truth to the American people, and keep them informed on what the Administration is doing.  It is up to the Administration to decide how it will meet this obligation.  No POTUS has any obligation whatsoever to legitimize any specific news outlet by granting it press credentials and access to the White House.  When any news outlet makes a conscious decision to abandon all journalistic ethics and become nothing more than a propaganda arm for the opposition political party – which is exactly what CNN has done – then the POTUS has no reason or obligation to allow it continued access to the White House or any executive branch department of the government.
  • CNN, the major TV networks, the NYTimes and the WaPo all continue to engage in their anti-journalistic practices for the simple reason that, to this point in time, they have had no accountability or consequences for doing so.  The Trump Administration could change all of that by revoking the press passes of Mr. Acosta and everyone else from CNN, as Newt Gingrich has been advocating it do in recent weeks.  It is long past time for these bad actors to face some consequences for their bad acts.
  • Tired of winning yet? – Meanwhile, in a unanimous decision, the Supreme Court allowed most of the Trump Administration’s long-proposed travel ban on seven Muslim terrorist-supporting nations (as identified by the Obama Administration) to go into effect.  In allowing the ban to go into effect, the 9 justices first had to conclude that, when they formally hear the case in the Fall, the Administration is very likely to prevail on the constitutional issue at hand, i.e., whether the current POTUS has the express authority to limit immigration any way he sees fit, as every other POTUS has had.  If you marvel that there is even any question about this power, understand that it is only a question in the perverted minds of the Obama-appointed federal judges whose anti-constitutional lower court decisions in this case couldn’t even pass the laugh tests of the likes of Ruth Bader Ginsburg and Elena Kagan.
  • The hilarious part about all of this is that the Administration’s proposed “ban” is really a proposal for a 90-day “pause” in immigration from the countries in question, and more than 180 days have now passed since it was initially proposed.  In addition, more than 90 days will pass before the Supreme Court will even hear oral arguments in the case, since the Court does not reconvene until October.  Thus, by the time the constitutional vagaries in this case have been fully adjudicated, the point will be moot. Welcome to the wonderful world of American jurisprudence.

(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

  • Oh, noes!  Not Nancy! – San Fran Nan, defending herself from a rising movement to replace her as House Minority Leader in the wake of Tuesday’s humiliating loss in Georgia’s HD 6, held a bumbling, stumbling, mumbling press conference on Thursday.  During the presser, she repeated herself constantly, flailed about for words, and finally blurted out the following:  “I always, always, always quote Martin Luther King in so many ways. But in this score, he said, Dr. Mar— he said, the ballot, the ballot, the ballot, legislation, legislation, legislation, your life, your life, your life.”  Trouble is, Dr. King never said any such thing.  But then, she’s a Democrat, so she’ll be protected by Joe and Mika this morning.
  • The thing is, he’s right. – Noting the perils of Pelosi, President Trump hit Twitter with the following:  “I certainly hope the Democrats do not force Nancy P out. That would be very bad for the Republican Party – and please let Cryin’ Chuck stay!”  Of course, the President is right about Ms. Pelosi’s value to the GOP – she is the Republicans’ easiest and most toxic target for congressional candidates to run against in about 3/4ths of the country.  If the Ds were to replace her with someone with a more “moderate” image – though with the same radical leftist policy priorities – like Ohio Congressman Tim Ryan, they would take that easy target away from the Rs.  Then again, it would be a very simple thing to replace San Fran Nan’s mug with that of the equally repugnant and toxic Chuck Schumer in those GOP ads.  As he so often does, President Trump managed to sum up a fairly complex matter in a 140 character Tweet.
  • She’s about to start making people offers they can’t refuse. – In any event, taking down a sitting Majority Leader of either party in the midst of a congressional session is no easy thing.  San Fran Nan functions like a Mafia don, raising and distributing tons of money among her capo regimes, doling out favors, collecting chits, rewarding those who are loyal with powerful positions, punishing anyone who crosses her.  Martin Scorsese could make a bang-up movie about her rise to power and her decade as the party’s leader in the House.  Those Democrats who are now organizing an effort to overthrow her had better start checking under the covers for severed horse’s heads before they climb into bed.
  • Hey Jake Tapper, you’ve been TrumpTrolled! – In other news, President Trump ended his two month-long Twitter trolling of James Comey and the fake news media, issuing a Tweet in which he admitted he never taped any conversations with our bi-polar former FBI Director.  This naturally caused great outrage among all the fake journalists in the fake press corps, as they watched their dreams of another opportunity to claim “it’s Watergate all over again!” fly out the windows of their sad little cubicles.
  • And right on cue, now that he believes there are no recordings of his conversations with President Trump, Mr. Comey and his wife were spotted by the Daily Mail’s Jennifer Smith strolling into the NYTimes Building.  We should expect to see another “bombshell” scandal report out of the fake journalists at the fake newspaper of record, based entirely on some mysterious “anonymous source” within the next 48 hours.  As we now know, this is how Mr. Comey has always functioned.
  • Finally, here’s another reason to expect a new anonymously-sourced “bombshell” from either the NYTimes or the WaPo over the weekend:  After a couple of months in which the fakenews scandal-mongers at All-Russia-All-the-time MSNBC had led in the prime time ratings, Fox News has now re-taken the top spot that it had held continuously for more than a decade, as the public becomes increasingly aware that the whole Russia Collusion canard is just a Democrat fantasy.  These ratings are proof that the public has moved on, even if MSNBC and CNN haven’t.

Just another day in Scrambling Nancy Pelosi America.

That is all.
