Horowitz Report Drops Today – Teen Drama Queens Prepping Their Defense

Today’s Campaign Update

(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

[Note:  The wonderful photoshop that accompanies this piece was constructed by a loyal Campaign Update reader who asked to be credited only as  dagalas.]

Hey, y’all, so far this week, President Donald Trump has gotten the Democrats and the fake news media to endorse:

– War games
– Nuclear weapons
– Refusing to negotiate with despots (where were they when Obama did that Iran deal?)
– Neverending war on the Korean peninsula

And it’s only Thursday morning!

PSA: Those loud noises you are hearing right now are just the sounds of liberal heads exploding…. – Two Norwegian lawmakers formally nominated President Trump for the Nobel Peace Prize on Wednesday.  The two are of course described as “right-leaning” members of Norway’s “Progress Party, which advocates for limited immigration and shrinking the size of government.”  Gosh, such radical ideas, wanting to preserve your country’s native culture and holding down the size of government.  If we didn’t have biased, stupid media, we would have no media at all in America.

And speaking of biased, stupid, fake news media…

“Ok, the President had a really great summit in Singapore, sadly.  So, here’s what we do:  ABC, you go with the fake report about Michael Cohen turning on Trump.  CBS, you toss out the false report about Sarah Sanders resigning.  CNN, well, you have the porn star franchise, so get on it!” –  Seriously, it’s like clockwork:  Any time President Donald Trump (I still never tire of typing those three words) has a domestic or international triumph, all the fake news media outlets start pumping out fake news stories designed to distract attention.

If that seems like a coordinated plan to you, that’s because it is a coordinated plan.  This is what your fake news media is in today’s world:  They aren’t “news” organizations, they are propaganda arms of the Democrat Party.  It’s been this way for quite some time now – at least since 1992, but really since shortly following World War II.

It’s become more amplified since November 2016 because the people at the top of these organizations are increasingly desperate.  With every successive act of #Winning, President Trump reveals the DC “Establishment” – mainly Democrats but also a raft of disloyal Republicans – to be a decades-long utter fraud perpetrated on the American people.  Tuesday’s election results, in which a challenger loyal to the President – Katie Arrington – knocked off longtime DC swamp creature Mark Sanford in South Carolina in a very surprising upset, only served to heighten the fake media’s panic.

And guess what?  Today is the day the next report from DOJ Inspector General Michael Horowitz drops.  Just imagine the frenzied flood of freakin’ news-fakery we are about to be treated to in the wake of that document going public at 3:00 ET this afternoon.  It will be glorious.

Several readers have asked this week what we should expect from this next Horowitz report.  My only honest answer is, hell if I know.  There are reasons to be concerned about what it might – or more likely, might not – contain, and reasons to be optimistic about it.

First, it is key to remember that the scope of this report is limited:  It only covers the DOJ/FBI conduct of its blatantly fake investigation into the Clinton email scandal, an investigation that we already know was little more than a desperate coverup designed to keep Barack Obama’s favored candidate from going to federal prison.  Horowitz is still working on a more comprehensive, subsequent report whose scope is far broader and will cover all of the DOJ/FBI efforts to fix the 2016 election and spy on the Trump Campaign, transition team and administration.

The main reason to be concerned about today’s report is that Horowitz has no doubt been placed under massive pressure internally at DOJ to mealy-mouth his findings.  We’ve already seen one report that the report will find ex-FBI Director and current teenage drama queen James Comey to have been “insubordinate”, but probably will not find him to have committed any crimes.  If that account – based of course on anonymous sources only – is accurate, then this report is a major fraud given that we already know beyond any shadow of a doubt that Comey has committed multiple perjuries before congressional committees and illegally leaked classified information to the New York Times.

So, right off the bat, we will have that barometer to inform us conclusively on the relative usefulness of this report.

The next big concern is how much of the report will be redacted.  We must remember that bad actors like Rod Rosenstein have had their greasy fingers all over this report for the past three weeks as it has gone through its review process.  Under Rosenstein’s incredibly corrupt leadership, DOJ has become notorious for redacting vast passages of documents under claims to be protecting national security, only to have it revealed later that the redacted information was merely embarrassing to the Department.  If Rosenstein has had his way with this report, we can expect that less than half of it will actually be open for public review.

But there are also reasons for optimism that this report will at least move the ball forward towards cleaning up some of the DOJ corruption and getting the process of perp-walking and prosecuting the key bad actors underway:

  • Horowitz himself has already agreed to testify before the House Oversight Committee next Monday, and that testimony will be offered under oath and threat of prosecution for perjury.  If he has been forced to make inaccurate changes to his report and the Republican members of that committee have the presence of mind to ask the right questions (we know the Democrats will only try to cover things up) then we can expect Horowitz to offer honest answers.  Or we can hope he will, anyway.
  • Horowitz is considered by most everyone to be one of the good guys, for good reason.  Yes, he served during the Obama Administration, but he was constantly engaged in fights with Obama’s corrupt attorneys general, who did everything they could to deny him the right to conduct his oversight responsibilities.
  • Then there’s the fact that, as noted above, this report has been circulating within DOJ for three weeks and also reportedly shared with the congressional “Gang of 8” – which includes notorious hacks like Dianne Feinstein and Adam Schiff – and none of it has been leaked to the press.  You can be damn sure if the original text of this report exonerated James Comey or Andrew McCabe or Peter Strzok or Lisa Page or any of the other bad actors within the FBI and DOJ, that news would have long ago appeared in the New York Times or Washington Post.  The fact that that has not happened gives us cause to hope that Horowitz has done his job.

A word of caution:  Reports like this are never fully satisfying to anyone.  Regardless of how hard Horowitz might have tried, it is literally impossible to fully keep political motivations out of any 500 page report produced in Washington, DC.

It is also very likely that those of us hoping for full justice will be initially mislead by what might seem to be inconclusive findings or mealy-mouthed language in the report, only to find out later that it is in fact extremely damaging to the subject.  It’s key to remember that Horowitz himself is not the prosecutor here:  His job is to simply lay out the facts, though he does have the power to make criminal referrals if he so chooses.

Once the report is out, the job of prosecuting the bad actors falls to the relevant U.S. attorney.  So, while you might initially be disappointed by language that, say, finds “insubordination” or “ignoring of departmental rules” by a James Comey or Andrew McCabe, we may discover later on that a prosecuting attorney finds that to be evidence of criminal conduct.

Bottom line:  I don’t know what’s in this report yet, but we’ll all have a pretty good idea by about 5:00 this afternoon.  Stay tuned.

Just another day on the poop is about to hit the fan America.

That is all.

Trump Ends Iran Deal; Obama Legacy Almost Gone

Today’s Campaign Update

(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

Tired of all this #Winning yet? Part I – San Fran Nan provided GOP candidates with they only ad the need to run in their campaigns this fall, promising to raise taxes if the Democrats regain a majority in the House of Representatives and she becomes Speaker once again.  Seriously, if Republicans didn’t have Nancy Pelosi, they’d have to invent her.  She is their best weapon in this year’s mid-term elections, if they’re smart enough to use her.

Tired of all this #Winning yet? Part II – All that wailing and gnashing of teeth you heard around 7:00 Central Time Tuesday night was emanating from the halls of CNN and MSNBC, where all the mouth-breathers who staff those fake news outlets were crying in their very cheap beers over the fact that Don Blankenship was crashing and burning out in West Virginia.  All the fake news people were praying the extremely goofy Blankenship would prevail in his effort to defeat several other candidates to become the Republican nominee to challenge incumbent Democrat Joe Manchin for his senate seat.  Blankenship would have been turned by the media into a replay of the Roy Moore fiasco in Alabama last year, so the Republicans did well to give him just 20% of the overall vote.  Good riddance.

Tired of all this #Winning yet? Part III – Democrats and their agents in the fake news media all hate President Donald Trump with a passion, but Israelis love him.  The City of Jerusalem just chose to name a public square in the President’s honor for keeping his campaign promise to move the U.S. embassy to that city from its current location in Tel Aviv.  Keeping your promises might not win you a totally un-deserved Nobel Peace Prize like the one Barack Obama received in 2009, but it will win you real gratitude from real people.

That un-American Obama “legacy” just keeps disappearing. – Speaking of Donald Trump keeping his promises, the President announced on Tuesday that he is ending U.S. participation in the Iran deal to which Barack Obama unilaterally chose to commit this country.  In response, the Iranian government responded very predictably, issuing war threats, burning an American flag on the floor if its fake parliament, and staging protests in which the oppressed protesters shouted…wait for it…you know what’s coming, don’t you?…”DEATH TO AMERICA!!!!”

Seriously, can’t the Mullahs teach these people any new chants?  This one has become as tiresome as another Pirates of the Caribbean sequel.  Do something else, already.

So, one more nail in the coffin of Barack Obama’s incredible shrinking legacy, which as of today is pretty much limited to a few random straggling Obamacare provisions, a handful of regulations that Trump hasn’t gotten around to rescinding yet, and of course all the illegal activity committed by the Obama Justice Department, the FBI and high Obama officials against the Trump Campaign in their tireless efforts to rig the 2016 election in favor of the Pantsuit Princess.

Otherwise, that legacy is as gone as Eric Schneiderman’s reputation, as gone as Jake Tapper’s credibility, as gone as Megyn Kelly’s ratings, as gone as Kathy Griffin’s career, and what a wonderful thing that is for the entire country.  All because we elected a President who has worked hard to keep the promises he made during his election campaign.  This really isn’t complicated, America.  Let’s keep doing it.

Throughout the day on Tuesday, ex-Obama officials took to their twitter accounts to defend the Iran deal, to no avail.  Most prominent among those was the execrable Ben Rhodes, who became famous for going around giving interviews after the deal was implemented in which he bragged about how easy it was to lie to the fake news media about the deal and convince all the young, naive reporters that it was actually a great deal for America.  Given that, it’s really amazing CNN hasn’t given Rhodes a gigantic contract to become an on-air contributor.

But my favorite came from John Brennan, the former CIA director and guy who has a history of voting for communists:

Within minutes after Brennan issued that tweet, North Korea confirmed that it will be releasing three U.S. prisoners while Secretary of State Mike Pompeo is visiting that country this week.

All of which just proves once again that one of the very best things about the disappearing legacy of Barack Obama is that we no longer have a simpleton like John O. Brennan running the CIA.

Just another day in the Obama legacy is almost gone America.

That is all.

Robert Mueller is Really Desperate to Get Fired

Today’s Campaign Update

(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

Robert Mueller really, really, really wants to get fired. – As if we needed any more proof of that reality facing President Trump, Mueller provided more last night, having someone on his staff leak a document to the New York Times which the Times claims contains a list of the questions Mueller is just itching to pose to the President.

According to the San Francisco Chronicle, the questions “relate to possible obstruction of justice, demonstrating how an investigation into Russia’s election meddling grew to include an examination of the president’s conduct in office. Among them are queries on any discussions Trump had about his attempts to fire Mueller himself and what the president knew about possible pardon offers to Flynn.”

In other words, Mueller long ago gave up on the fantasy that there was any “collusion” between the Trump campaign and the Russians, and has been on a 10-month fishing expedition for some evidence that the President himself “obstructed justice”.  Apparently, Mueller considers even a discussion about firing him to be “obstruction of justice”, a prospect so Nazi-like in its concept that it should chill any thinking  American (yes, every one of you non-Democrats) to the bone.

On the other hand, Mueller’s focus on a “crime” that noted constitutional scholar and very liberal Harvard Law Professor Alan Dershowitz has repeatedly said no sitting President can even commit in the firing or contemplated firing of any employee is very encouraging for Mr. Trump.   It conclusively proves that Mueller is holding a gigantic bag of nothing and is attempting to get Trump to fire him in order to provoke a debate in congress over impeachment.

For his part, the President is a little ticked about it all, as he issued the following tweet as I was compiling this morning’s Campaign Update:

Yes, it is quite disgraceful, but it’s also quite transparent in its motivation, and so this tweet should be the entirety of the presidential response to Mueller’s action.

We should also remember here that the President recently brought Rudy Giuliani into his legal team to negotiate an end to this sham investigation with Mueller.  It is likely that Mueller’s decision to leak this list to the media signals some dissatisfaction with the status of that negotiation, and is designed to pressure Giuliani on some point.  Another sign of desperation on Mueller’s part.

But back to the point above about impeachment.  Whenever some seemingly-significant event related to the Mueller sham investigation takes place, it’s always important to keep in mind that, ultimately, that investigation and the seditious conspiracy involving high officials from the DOJ, FBI and the Obama intelligence community leading up to it was always designed to accomplish one of two outcomes:

  • First, to create such a high degree of chaos within the administration during its early days that Trump would be pressured to resign – which is exactly why you saw the most recent season of the Showtime series Homeland end the way it did;
  • Failing in that first goal, the backup goal has always been to build up some sort of a case for impeachment, on the hopes that the Democrats will be able to win a majority in the House of Representatives in the midterm elections.

There is no doubt that the conspiracy to take down a duly-elected president did succeed in at least part of Goal #1:  It did create an amazing amount of chaos within the administration, and its willing participants in the fake news media did create a lot of external pressure on the President to resign.  The fatal flaw in this goal, however, was that the conspirators assumed Trump would react to all of this the same way prior presidents have reacted to the pressure of partisan special counsel investigations:  By panicking and pulling in his sails.

Instead, Trump reacted simply by ratcheting up the pressure from his own end, taking his case to the people, and achieving more notable public policy goals during his first year in office than any president in American history.  Probably 80% of the anti-American legacy of Barack Obama has been repealed, taxes have been massively cut, the economy is booming, and America is once again a true world power on the international stage.

This latest desperate act by Mueller comes at a time when the President’s personal conduct of foreign policy has resulted in the formal end to the 67 year-old Korean conflict, is moving strongly towards the de-nuclearization of the Korean peninsula, is gaining huge trade concessions from our international trading partners, and is about to either significantly reset the horrific, anti-American Obama deal with Iran that endangers the entire Middle East or end the U.S. participation in it.

So Robert Mueller desperately wants to get fired in a last-ditch attempt to create a case for impeachment.

That tweet was great, Mr. President.  Now, just go on about your business of winning the Nobel Peace Prize and let Rudy go about his business of ending the witch hunt.  Today’s a great day.

Just another day in the Mueller gun is out of bullets America.

That is all.
