2018 Will Be A Wild And Crazy Year In Donald Trump’s America

Here are The Campaign Update’s First Annual Random Predictions for 2018:

  • The crisis with North Korea will be resolved without a shot being fired – the only question is whether or not the Crazy Little Fat Guy survives the resolution.
  • Jim Acosta will suffer an on-air nervous breakdown – The behavior of CNN’s petulant White House correspondent became increasingly erratic and outrageous as 2017 progressed, and his obvious lobbying for a gig hosting his own show fell on deaf ears among the fake news channel’s management.  Things can only get worse for poor little Jimmy in 2018.
  • Joe and Mika will break up – Seriously, who could stand to be together with either one of them for more than a few years?  They’ll keep hosting their show together, but Mika is just bound to wake up some morning soon to the realization that she broke up two marriages to be with a guy who looks just like her Aunt Margaret.
  • The History Channel’s “Search for the Zodiac Killer” will, in its final episode, identify MSNBC host Lawrence O’Donnell as the famous mass murderer.  No really, I’m betting good money on this one.
  • The guys on Oak Island will finally find something truly significant – But we’ll have to wait through a 4-1/2 minute commercial break to find out what it is.
  • CNN’s ratings will drop below those for HGTV’s new show, “Flip or Flop Ypsilanti” –  Yeah, I know that show doesn’t exist, but given the proliferation of new “Flip or Flop” spinoffs during 2017, it seems inevitable that it will by the end of the first quarter of 2018.
  • The vaunted #MeToo movement will quietly grind to a whimpering halt – This is sad, but it is also inevitable, as America’s leftist establishment comes to realize that it’s mostly their own people getting caught up in it, which is not politically convenient.  Since the left politicizes literally everything, we can expect the climate of sexual abuse in Hollywood, the media and politics to be fully back to business as usual by mid-year.
  • The New England Patriots will win the Super Bowl, yet again – This is mainly because Eagles QB Carson Wentz went down to injury.  Had he remained healthy, the Eagles would have rolled to their first NFL Championship in the modern era.  As it is, the Patriots will easily dispatch the Vikings in Super Bowl whatever-roman-numeral-this-one-happens-to-be.
  • The Houston Astros will win the World Series, again – Hey, after waiting for more than half a century to win their first one, why not win one more over the same Los Angeles Dodgers?
  • White House Chief of Staff John Kelly, who everyone in the fake news media assured us all back in August was miserable in his job and about to resign, will still be happily ensconced in his position a year from now.
  • Ditto Secretary of State Rex Tillerson, who everyone in the fake news media has assured us repeatedly over the last six months was on the verge of resigning.  He actually likes his current job, and isn’t going anywhere.
  • The staff at the EPA will shrink by more than 1,000 during 2018 – if you thought the 700 or so who left during 2017 was a big deal, you should understand that it was only just the beginning.  This Administration is deadly serious about getting this heinously abusive agency under control.
  • The Justice Department’s IG Report will seem to be a disappointment when it is issued – As has been promised, the DOJ IG Report of its year-long investigation into potential wrong-doing among senior staff at DOJ and the FBI will be issued in late January/early February.  It will initially be perceived to be a disappointment to those who want to see justice truly done, but will actually become the catalyst for the eventual issuance of indictments against members of the anti-Trump cabal that has been working to overturn a duly-conducted U.S. election.
  • The Fake News Media will suddenly rediscover the “homeless” – Having failed miserably in its efforts to bring down a presidency with its myopic focus on the mythical “Russia Collusion”, the fake news media will go to the next page in its playbook and focus myopically on blaming President Trump for America’s “homeless” problem, which the fake news media studiously ignored throughout the 8 years of Obama.  It’s like clockwork.
  • Despite current polling data, the GOP will retain its majority in the U.S. House, and increase its majority in the Senate – Once those tax cuts kick in, those polling numbers are going to shift dramatically.  The 2018 mid-terms will not be a good time for the party of undending outrage, higher taxes, pussy hats, violent riots, Chelsea Handler and Nancy Pelosi.
  • President Trump will keep handing the fake news media exploding cigars – and the fake news media will keep lighting them up.  This is the safest prediction of all.

The Campaign Update wishes each and every one of you a very safe and Happy New Year!

That is all.

The Media Just Keeps Faking The News And Donald Trump Loves It

  • These continue to be trying times for the NFL.  While most teams continue to announce their games as “sell outs”, thanks mainly to corporate ticket-buying programs, games all over the NFL were played to sparse attendance on Sunday as actual fans choose to stay home in droves.  This week’s Thursday Night Football game between the Denver Broncos and some other team that no one cares about received the worst Thursday game ratings in years.  The player protests of the national anthem go on and on, though their coverage has been muted by the TV networks desperate to move on from the matter, but the damage has been done.  The sub-moron team owners recently chose to extend the contract of Commissioner Roger Goodell, saddling the league with a raging nitwit-in-charge for another five-year term.
  • If you want another reason why many fans have abandoned a league they supported for many years, all you need do is look at what happened at the end of the game between the Steelers and Patriots on Sunday.  After Tom Brady had led his team on one of his 50+ 4th quarter TD drives to apparently put the game away, the Steelers stormed right back down the field in 3 plays, scoring what appeared to be the winning TD on a pass from QB Ben Roethlisberger to TE Jesse James with 28 seconds left.  This was a play that would have counted as a clear and unambiguous touchdown at any other level of football – college, high school, jr. high or Pop Warner – it was a TD anywhere else on earth as soon as the ball crossed over the plane of the goal line with the receiver in firm possession of it.
  • But, because the receiver lost control of the ball when he slammed to the ground in the end zone, the replay officials called the play an incomplete pass.  Roethlisberger threw an interception on the next play, and the game had been literally given to the Patriots by the officials.  This is the same horrible, idiotic rule that was invoked to hand an apparent Dallas Cowboys playoff win in 2014 to the Green Bay Packers instead.  The fact that this lunatic rule is still on the NFL’s books three years later tells you all you need to know about the morons who run this league.
  • The fake editors and fake reporters at CNN will get this story wrong, too. – The UK Guardian reports that Pope Francis “has criticised journalists who dredge up old scandals and sensationalise the news, saying it’s a “very serious sin” that hurts all involved.”  In response, fake reporters all over the fake news media here in the U.S. were assigned by their fake editors to look into the Pope’s background and see what, if any scandals they could dig up.
  • Speaking of faking the news, the national news media and the Democrat Party coordinated all weekend long to push a fake story about President Trump supposedly planning to fire Robert Mueller.  Faced with having to make the GOP’s pending passage of the largest tax cut in American history the lead story of the weekend, the Democrats and fake news outlets did what they do anytime they’re faced with having to cover a positive story about the Trump Administration – they made a fake story up that they could focus on instead.
  • Late on Friday, the Democrats sent obscure California Congresswoman Jackie Speier out on TV to push out the claim that there was a “rumor” going around congress that the President planned to make a nationally televised speech right before Christmas announcing the firing of the Special Counsel.  Once Speier had made that claim – a claim no one else in congress was making, a claim put out into the public space absent the slightest shred of evidence, a claim made despite the consistent, repeated denials from the White House every time the question has been asked since March – it became the lead story on every fake news broadcast, headline news in every fake news paper across the country, and the lead story on every one of the Sunday morning fake news programs.
  • Thus, for an entire weekend, when responsible, real journalists would have been working to inform their readers and viewers about what this new, gigantic reform of the U.S. tax system – the first such major reform in more than three decades – means to them, the fake news media focused instead on coordinating with the Democrat Party to promote a myth.
  • Granted, there are all sorts of great reasons why Robert Mueller deserves to be fired, including 1) his appointment by Rod Rosenstein was illegitimate to begin with, 2) Mueller’s massive personal conflicts of interest related to the case, 3) his stacking of his staff with an array of hyper-partisan hacks, and 4) his resorting to illegal means of obtaining the Trump Transition team’s email records, to name just a few.
  • Despite all those great reasons that would fully justify Mueller’s firing, there has never been the slightest indication that the President had any plans to do so.  As he has been since Day 1 of his presidency, Donald Trump appears perfectly content to let the media fake up all the fake stories it wants to fake, while he and his administration just keep executing radical change for real Americans with little notice.
  • Winning.  So, so, soooo much winning.

Just another weekend in So, So, Soooo Much Winning! America.

That is all.
