Donald Trump Persists

  • The Golden Globe Awards were held last night, and Oprah was apparently elected president.  At least, that’s what NBC’s official Twitter feed appeared to indicate early in the evening.  So it must be official, or something.
  • I didn’t watch the Golden Globes, which I know comes as a gigantic shock to all of you, but I do watch Twitter, and on that platform I see that Oprah told the assembled Hollywood phonies that “There is nothing more important than speaking your truth.”  Note to President Oprah:  There is no such thing as “your” truth.  There is truth, and there is not truth.  There is nothing in between.  Giving that kind of advice to a bunch of mental midgets who already live in a completely faked-up world is like feeding crack to a street addict.  Shame on you.
  • In keeping with the evening’s “we’re all gonna wear black to show solidarity with somebody or something…hey, are you gonna keep your gift bag?  Can I have it?” theme, Actress Connie Britton wore a black skirt along with a cotton t-shirt that said “Poverty is Sexist.”  It would have been more accurate had it said, “I am really vapid and sort of stupid.”
  • Speaking of people living in a fantasy world, noted fiction writer Michael Wolff, who is in the running with Scut Farkus for the Greenest Teeth on the Planet award (if only he had yellow eyes, too), is experiencing a moment of gigantic hubris, which was predictable given all the free media he’s had over the last week.  In an interview with the BBC, Wolff told the fake interviewer that his book “will finally end this presidency once and for all.”  This is me, sighing heavily:  *sigh*.
  • In other words, Wolff believes his book – which he himself admits is at best a highly fictionalized portrayal of reality – is the “beginning of the end for Donald Trump.”  One can only wonder if this turd of a human being has any idea how many times over the last 2 years and 8 months the American public has heard those words uttered by some leftwing fool, pontificating pundit or fake conservative #neverTrump nitwit.  That phrase is without any doubt the most frequently-uttered empty promise in recent history, on a par with “if you like your plan, you can keep your plan,” or “I turned over all the emails I was required to turn over,” or “I did not have sex with that woman.”
  • It began even before Donald Trump announced his candidacy.  As he and Melania came down that escalator in the lobby of Trump Tower to make the announcement, talking heads on Fox and CNN were already predicting the end to his presidential run.
  • When his unorthodox performance in the first primary debate with 11 of his 16 GOP opponents caused such an uproar, Charles Krauthammer and many other makers of the DC conventional wisdom declared with absolute certainty that it was “the beginning of the end for Donald Trump.”  And yet he persisted.
  • Megyn Kelly’s opening the second primary debate with her very aggressive questioning about his history with women was “the beginning of the end for Donald Trump.”  And yet he carried on.
  • Trump’s loss to Ted Cruz in the Iowa Caucuses was declared by everyone on every cable and network news program to be “the beginning of the end for Donald Trump.”  A few days later, he won New Hampshire in a landslide.
  • His loss to Cruz in the Wisconsin primary was supposed to be “the beginning of the end for Donald Trump.”  Trump then went out and swept the next 16 consecutive primary races and easily secured the nomination.
  • The release of the Billy Bush tape was going to be “the beginning of the end for Donald Trump,” yet he somehow soldiered on.
  • His poor performance in the first debate with Hillary Clinton was declared with great finality by everyone in the fake news media to be “the beginning of the end for Donald Trump.”  But he won the next two debates and ultimately won the election.
  • The firing of corrupt FBI Director James Comey was going to be “the beginning of the end for Donald Trump,” but still, Trump persisted.
  • The appointment of Robert Mueller as Special Counsel to investigate allegations of collusion with Russia was certainly going to be “the beginning of the end for Donald Trump,” yet 10 months later there is no evidence of any such collusion, and Mueller is off casting about for other angles of investigation.
  • The indictments of Paul Manafort and George Papadopoulos were declared to be “the beginning of the end for Donald Trump.”  But there he still sits in the White House.
  • We’ve seen, at a minimum, two dozen stories published over the last year by the NYTimes or the WaPo, based on nothing but unidentified sources, all of which have been declared by all the smart people in Washington to be “the beginning of the end for Donald Trump.”
  • Yet, Donald Trump remains, tweeting early in the morning to set the fake news media off on its daily rabbit trails of hysteria and false reporting, then spending the remainder of each day systematically erasing the horrific, anti-American legacy of Barack Obama.
  • If the treasury had collected a dollar from every wise man, fake reporter or fake talking head in Washington every time they had declared “the beginning of the end for Donald Trump” over the last 32 months, we’d be halfway to retiring the national debt.

Just another day in Donald Trump Persists America.

That is all.

Robert Mueller Has a Big Bag of Nothing and the Democrats All Know It

  • Tired of all this Winning yet?  Part I – The federal government shrank by 16,000 jobs during 2017, while the nation’s manufacturing sector added 196,000 jobs.  That, friends, is winning, bigly.
  • Tired of all this Winning yet?  Part II – Senate Judiciary Chairman Chuck Grassley and fellow member Lindsey Graham referred the infamous Christopher Steele, author of the fake anti-Trump dossier to the FBI and DOJ for criminal investigation.  This is the first criminal referral made by any of the various congressional committees that have spent the last year investigating allegations of “Russia Collusion” invented by the fake news media and the Democrats.
  • Tired of all this Winning yet?  Part III – Hundreds of leftwingers – including various people who call themselves “journalists” – fell for a hoax about President Donald Trump spending 17 hours a day watching the “Gorilla Channel.”  After a twitter user tweeted out a mocked-up passage from Michael Wolff’s book making this bizarre claim, leftwingers re-tweeted it all over the Internet in the belief that the story was real.  Within minutes, the Gorilla Channel was trending on Twitter, and cable companies all over America were fielding calls from demented leftists asking how they can subscribe to the Gorilla Channel.  Of course, there is no such thing as the Gorilla Channel.  But I sure wish there was.  Sounds fascinating.
  • The New York Times reported on Friday that Special Counsel Robert Mueller has given up on finding any actual collusion with Russia – the ostensible reason for his appointment in the first place – and is now focusing on trying to prove up an obstruction of justice case against President Trump.  So this paragon of virtue has shifted from one fool’s errand to another.
  • If the NYTimes report is true – always a dangerous assumption, given that the fake newspaper’s record for accurate reporting is roughly equal to that of Michael Wolff, a self-admitted fabulist – Mueller is trying to dummy up a case that would contend that Trump’s efforts to convince Jeff Sessions not to recuse himself somehow amounts to obstruction of justice.  This is tomfoolery bordering on rank nitwittery.  Whether or not Sessions should recuse himself was for days the subject of intense debate, with experts weighing in on both sides of the argument.  Mueller apparently wants us to believe that the President obstructed justice because he expressed his own opinion in the matter.  Our tax dollars should not be paying for such nonsense.
  • The other angle the Times claims Mueller is pursuing is that the President tasked his White House counsel to try to dig up dirt on James Comey, who he already knew was a bad actor and likely felon.  This is obstruction of justice?  Really?  Please.  Hasn’t Bob Mueller got better things to do with his life, like torturing lizards or hunting for Bigfoot?
  • Here’s how you know Mueller has a big bag of nothing where Trump is concerned, and every leftist fake reporter in the fake media and every Democrat member of congress knows it:  None of them are talking about things like Russia Collusion or obstruction of justice anymore.  They’ve all given up on those fake narratives and are now focused on the fake narrative that the President is somehow mentally unfit for the job.
  • President Trump is completely and hilariously aware of this, and addressed it this morning with a series of tweets:
    • “Now that Russian collusion, after one year of intense study, has proven to be a total hoax on the American public, the Democrats and their lapdogs, the Fake News Mainstream Media, are taking out the old Ronald Reagan playbook and screaming mental stability and intelligence…..
    • ….Actually, throughout my life, my two greatest assets have been mental stability and being, like, really smart. Crooked Hillary Clinton also played these cards very hard and, as everyone knows, went down in flames. I went from VERY successful businessman, to top T.V. Star…..
    • ….to President of the United States (on my first try). I think that would qualify as not smart, but genius….and a very stable genius at that!”
  • Genius indeed.  And Winning.  Lots and lots of unmitigated Winning.

Just another day in Sooooooo.  Much.  Winning.  America.

That is all.
