Fake News, Fake Republicans and Real, Live Snowflakes – Merry Resistmas, America!

  • Now we know why his approval rating in Arizona is 11%. – Hey, remember when Arizona Sen. Jeff Flake used to pretend to be a Republican, just like his fellow Senator, John McCain?  Yeah, those were good times, but they’re over now.  On Tuesday, Flake wrote a check to ultra-liberal Democrat Doug Jones, who is running against the very weird Roy Moore for the senate seat in Alabama.  Embarrassingly, Flake’s check to Jones, which he made sure to trumpet all over the social media space, was for a paltry $100, meaning he’s not only rankly dishonest, he’s also a skinflint.  But hey, liberals are always far more generous giving away other people’s money than contributing their own, right?
  • Hey, all you SJWs, snowflakes and pussy hat wearers, if you lack a tree-topper for your “holiday” tree this year, a mail-order company can supply you one of your favorite “inspiring woman”, so long as your favorite “inspiring woman” is either Beyonce’, Serena Williams or Hillary Clinton!  I swear I don’t make this stuff up:
  •
  • Our young people seem to suffer from a severe lack of self-awareness. – The UK Telegraph carried a piece yesterday titled, “Don’t call us snowflakes – it damages our mental health, say young people”.  I kid you not, it’s a serious piece.  Note to young people:  If being called a ‘snowflake’ damages your mental health, that means YOU’RE A DAMN SNOWFLAKE!  How is it possible that that really needed to be said?
  • Tuesday was a big day for fake news news.  Let’s start with ABC News’s announcement that its star fake reporter, Brian Ross, will no longer be allowed to cover stories involving President Trump when he comes back from his 30 day holiday in January.  ABC had also made sure to leak the text of a “memo” written by its News Division President James Goldston, ostensibly lambasting his staff over Ross’s false report from last Friday, which temporarily tanked the stock market.  This is all window dressing, folks – ABC used the same tactic after Ross filed a previous fake report a few years ago, falsely tying a mass shooter to the Tea Party.  Nothing is going to change at ABC – the news fakery will go on unabated.
  • Meanwhile, over at NBC, if you are laboring under the illusion that Matt Lauer’s intra-office sexcapades were some sort of big secret at the Peacock Network, well, think again.  Everyone at NBC – and apparently at every other fake news media outlet – knew everything about Lauer, and many of his colleagues were willing participants and abettors of his behavior.  That’s the only reasonable conclusion one can draw from the report linked here from Fox News, which details the proceedings of a 2008 obscene roasting of Lauer at which everyone assembled in the room laughed uproariously about the fake news host’s debauchery.  I would post out-takes from it, but the Campaign Update draws the line at repeating jokes about anal sex.  In any event, if you’re thinking that NBC’s convenient jettisoning of Lauer – which will save the network $27 million annually – means the culture there will change, you should probably disabuse yourself of that silly notion.  No word if Charlie Rose and Mark Halperin had seats at the head table, but it does seem likely.
  • Hey, remember when real journalists would always require at least two corroborating sources before running with a big news story?  Yeah, those times are dead. – The normally fairly reliable Bloomberg ran with a report mid-day on Tuesday that Special Counsel Robert Mueller had issued a subpoena to Deutsche Bank demanding it turn over client records related to its relationship with President Trump.  Within a few hours, Trump’s legal team had completely debunked the story, and one can only wonder  what the motive was for running with it in the first place, given that Bloomberg cited only a single, naturally unidentified source for the information.
  • But hey, faking the news is a highly-competitive business, and if Bloomberg’s gonna play with the big boys at the NYTimes and the WaPo, inconvenient things like real journalistic practices and editorial control have to be tossed out the proverbial window, right?  Right.

Just another day in fakety fakey fake news media America.

That is all.

Mueller’s Gestapo Tactics Only Reinforce The Reasons Why Trump Won in 2016

  • This stuff is why Trump is President. – If nothing else good comes of it, Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation is serving as a stark reminder to all Trump voters of why they voted for him.  The President himself reminded the nation on Monday morning that, while General Mike Flynn has been indicted for making false statements to investigators, Hillary Clinton was awarded a free pass by former FBI Director James Comey in July 2016, after she had made a raft of false statements during her FBI interview.  This morning, the Daily Caller reminds us that Clinton’s two senior aides, Huma Abedin and Cheryl Mills also gave heinously misleading testimony to FBI investigators, again with no consequences.
  • Of all the myriad reasons why Trump voters decided in 2016 that the DC Swamp needed draining and Trump was just the guy to do it, this kind of selective application of the law was probably reason #1.  Robert Mueller and James Comey obviously believe that America has a bifurcated legal system – one system for the hundreds of millions of ordinary American citizen rabble out here in flyover country, and another for members in good standing of the Ruling Class, like Hillary, Huma and Cheryl.  This makes perfect sense to Mueller and Comey, since they are the de facto henchmen for that Ruling Class.
  • Those of you who are wondering why it is that the voters in Alabama appear to be set on sending Roy Moore to the U.S. Senate in spite of all the women accusers arrayed against him, it’s mainly because they know that his opponent, Democrat Doug Jones, would go to Washington and become just another reliable lapdog for the Swamp rulers.  These voters know that, whatever Moore may have done back during the Carter and Reagan Administrations, he plans to go to DC to help Trump clean the damn place out.  There’s really no more to it than that.
  • Speaking of Mueller’s absurd Special Counsel “investigation”, it appears now he has completely abandoned any effort at all to investigate the Democrat/fake news media invented fantasy of the Trump camp “colluding” with Russia to influence the election.  Writing in the National Review, Andrew McCarthy, himself  a former federal prosecutor, believes that the Flynn plea deal means that Mueller’s grand strategy now is to build an obstruction of justice case against the President.
  • Given that the President really can’t be prosecuted for obstructing justice, since, as Harvard Law Professor Alan Dershowitz pointed out on Fox News on Monday, he is the chief law enforcement officer of the United States, Mueller’s new focus means he is not working to actually bring charges against President Trump.  Rather, he is working to build a case for impeachment by congress.
  • If that’s really the strategy from the Special Counsel’s office, it simply points up how critical the 2018 mid-term congressional elections really are.  If American voters award control of either house of congress to the Democrats, then our country will literally become paralyzed for two solid years as the hyper-partisan Dems do literally nothing but try to impeach a sitting President for “crimes” that simply do not exist.
  • Another big leftist hope making the rounds of the internet currently is that Mueller may be trying to build a case against Trump for violating the Logan Act, for asking Flynn to make contact with Russia while he was still President-elect.  Here is the relevant text of the 1799 Logan Act:
  • “Any citizen of the United States, wherever he may be, who, without authority of the United States, directly or indirectly commences or carries on any correspondence or intercourse with any foreign government or any officer or agent thereof, with intent to influence the measures or conduct of any foreign government or of any officer or agent thereof, in relation to any disputes or controversies with the United States, or to defeat the measures of the United States, shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than three years, or both.
  • Now, here’s why the Logan Act, in its 218 year life, has never, not one time, resulted in a prosecution of anyone:  If you take that text literally, John McCain alone would have been found guilty of violating the Logan Act half a dozen times since Trump took office, and probably 50 times during the presidency of George W. Bush, as McCain has made a frequent habit of making speeches in foreign lands that are highly critical of U.S. foreign policy, but only during Republican Administrations.  Liberal hero Ted Kennedy wrote letters to Soviet Union leaders, actively seeking their intervention in the 1984 elections against Ronald Reagan.  On and on and on this list could go.
  • If Mueller really is working on a Logan Act case, then everyone on the White House should be breaking out the champagne and celebrating, because that cat won’t flush.
  • The bottom line here is that the whole “Russia Collusion” fantasy play is officially dead.  By mounting his incredibly biased, highly-selective “investigation” in such a public way, Robert Mueller is only reinforcing support for President Trump among those who voted for him in 2016.  Mueller has now replaced Mitch McConnell as the official poster child for the movement out here in flyover country to clean out the DC Swamp.  If the President fired him tomorrow, there is not a single Trump supporter at this point who would bat an eye about it, because they know who the bad guy in this fantasy play really is.

Just another day in Ding, Dong, Russia Collusion Is Dead America.

That is all.

Trump Enrages The Atlantic Simply By Eating. Now, That is Winning!

  • Why are fake news media outlets such cesspits of abuse and bigotry?  Part 3,152 – Eternally belligerent MSNBC fake news host Joy Reid issued an apology yesterday for the revelation of a heinously bigoted, homophobia-filled blog she maintained about a decade ago, but not, of course, before she had attempted to delete the blog entirely.   “At no time have I intentionally sought to demean or harm the LGBT community, which includes people whom I deeply love,” Reid said, though, in her blog, she obviously did do that on many, many occasions.  Guess the devil made her do it.
  • Hey, c’mon, it was an innocent 3-year long mistake.  Could’ve happened to anybody. – MSNBC, which, as a part of NBC, has been embroiled in dealing with the recent sex abuse scandals swirling around its own Mark Halperin and NBC’s Matt Lauer, was mute on the Reid controversy.  But after all, MSNBC is the network that kept the likes of Keith Olbermann and Al Sharpton employed for years, so expecting this particular fake news outlet to punish Joy Reid in any meaningful way is like expecting ABC to do so with, say, Brian Ross.
  • Hey, when something’s inevitable, you might as well enjoy it. – Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, who was among the first political figure to jump out and try to force Judge Roy Moore out of the Alabama Senate race when he became accused of weird sexual behavior back in the early ’80s, has had a sudden change of heart.  On Sunday, McConnell told a fake interviewer on ABC’s This Week that “I’m going to let the people of Alabama make the call.”  Well, that’s mighty big of you, Mitch, given that you have absolutely no say in the matter at all.
  • Someone really should remind the WaPo about the definition of insanity. – The Majority Leader was most likely just responding to a raft of new polls that almost uniformly show Judge Moore with a fairly strong lead of 6-8 points among likely voters in the race.  I say “almost” because the reliable hacks at the Washington Post poll made a last-ditch effort to influence the race, tossing in a faked-up poll pretending to show Democrat Doug Jones with a 3 point lead.  Everyone should remember that it was the Washington Post/ABC poll that showed Hillary Clinton with a 13-point lead less than two weeks before Election Day 2016.  We saw how that worked out for them.
  • Having apparently exhausted all other avenues of irrationally slamming President Donald Trump (I never tire of typing those three words), the fake journalists who infest The Atlantic have now decided to go after him for his…wait for it…EATING HABITS!  I kid you not, some guy named James Hamblin issued a piece on Saturday that condemns Trump for liking – gasp! – McDonald’s and – horrors! – Oreos, for regularly consuming more that elite society deems appropriate in one sitting, and for snarfing down his food too quickly.  Why, the nerve!
  • Here’s a typical paragraph:  “There is no question that this diet is dangerous and is very likely to shorten a person’s life. His dietary pattern adds to the picture of a 70-year-old man who has long been living against all health advice—who does not exercise, who barely sleeps, who has tumultuous relationships, who is frequently enraged.” The author even goes on to claim that the President’s eating habits might well get us all killed, speculating that “Decisions to live this way would seem to offer insight into Trump’s ability to assess risk. In light of a nuclear standoff with North Korea, rapidly warming oceans, and a looming tax bill that would leave millions more Americans without health insurance, his approach to self-maintenance is not reassuring.”
  • It takes a special kind man to be able to enrage leftist Manhattan elitists by the simple act of consuming food, and it is oddly reassuring to so many millions of us out here in flyover country that our current POTUS is exactly that kind of man.  Now I think I’ll run out to McDonald’s and get three bacon, eggs and cheese biscuits and a large Diet Coke for breakfast.

Just another day in Donald Trump is Winning Through Eating America.

That is all.

ABC’s False Flynn Reporting Proves Our Society Needs Ways To Punish The Fake News Media

  • Nothing to see here, folks, move along.  Nothing to see here. – ABC’s Brian Ross proved once again yesterday that he really should be working at CNN.  Ross’s breathless morning report that Mike Flynn was ready to testify that then-candidate Donald Trump had instructed him to collude with the Russians to try to impact the election threw the entirety of the fake news media and social media into a tizzy, with liberals at every media outlet excitedly predicting that this was the “beginning of the end” for President Trump.
  • There was just one problem, though:  the story was, as Ross’s stories so often turn out to be, completely false.  But ABC let it hang out there all day long, negatively impacting the 401K accounts of millions of Americans by tanking the stock market, before finally forcing Ross to correct his fake story on the network’s nightly newscast.
  • The report was fake, but inaccurate. – On that broadcast, Ross told fake news reader David Muir that, well, gosh, actually, ummmm….welllll, it turns out that what his “source” had really told him was that, er, candidate Trump had simply instructed Flynn to start coming up with suggested approaches to a number of issues facing the U.S. and Russia, and then, after the election, President-elect Donald Trump told him to do his damn job and start making contacts with Russia, along with many other countries, which is what every other president-elect in modern U.S. history has done.
  • ABC characterized Ross’s followup report as a “clarification”, but that’s not what it was at all.  It was in fact an admission that the original report was simply false, and that Flynn’s plea deal is extremely unlikely to have any significant real impact on President Trump or his administration at all.  Put simply, there is no story here, and never really was.
  • Here’s what really happened yesterday:  Mike Flynn agreed to plead guilty to making false statement to the FBI, a process crime that has literally nothing to do with what Robert Mueller’s special counsel office is supposed to be investigating.  In exchange for that plea deal, Flynn agreed to give testimony in cases against other targets of this sham investigation, most likely Paul Manafort or Jared Kushner.
  • In his statement before the court, Flynn made it very clear that what he won’t be doing is offering any testimony that might be characterized as an admission that he or anyone else in the Trump operation engaged in collusion with anyone from Russia to influence the election.  In other words, there is absolutely nothing new here at all.  Not one damn thing took place yesterday that we did not already know was going to happen, and yet our entire society was disrupted for half a day because ABC let Brian Ross, a reporter already well-known for filing fake reports, file a completely fake report.
  • We as a country have a desperate need to find ways to penalize these giant fake media operations when they engage in such heinous false reporting as ABC did yesterday.  Episodes like this have a major disruption on our entire society, costing our economy and our citizens billions of dollars in the process.
  • Worse than that, the fake media monolith is literally brainwashing a vast segment of our society that has no ability to filter the fakeness or think rationally.  These people live in a fantasy world in which the Russians, not Donald Trump, defeated Hillary Clinton, where it’s more important to be politically correct than it is to protect the lives of U.S. citizens, where socialism – which has failed all over the world for a century and resulted in the deaths of hundreds of millions of people – is the peachy idea for America’s future.
  • The fake media is destroying this country, dividing the population irreparably with a constant stream of false reports like Ross’s, driving our nation inexorably towards a second civil war, all in support of their Democrat Party benefactors.  If we can’t find a way to penalize their intentional brainwashing of the public within the bounds of the First Amendment, then the First Amendment will end up destroying the country.

Just another day in fake news media America.

That is all.

The Fake News Media’s “Flirty” Floodgates Are Opening Up Wide

  • I suppose that yesterday, November 29, 2017, will forever be remembered as the day the floodgates truly began to open for the fake news media, which is apparently nothing more than a boiling cesspool of sexual abuse in the workplace.  First NBC’s venerable ultra-liberal Today Show host Matt Lauer, then commie long-time radio performer Garrison Keillor (I had thought he was dead – go figure), then NPR Chief Fake News Editor David Sweeney, and finally CNN’s Teddy Davis, the producer of Jake Tapper’s daily low-rated fake news-fest, gone, all gone, in a furious flurry of sexual harassment payback mania.
  • One can only wonder where it will all go from here.  For example, when will police in New York City (where NBC is located), Minneapolis (Keillor’s base of operations, as it were), Atlanta (CNN’s home) and Washington, DC (where NPR sucks up its taxpayer dollars) begin opening criminal investigations into all the fake media sexual abuse?  After all, the Los Angeles Police Department recently announced it has no fewer than 28 active criminal investigations into all the sex abuse charges that have been leveled at Harvey Weinstein and myriad other Hollywood hot shots – won’t the same elements of the law apply to all these fake journalists and mediocre entertainers?
  • Hey, before you even think about it, don’t any of you Lauer lovers try to tell anyone that it’s not the same thing, that the allegations against him don’t rise to the same level as those targeting Weinstein.  Lauer is a guy who insisted that NBC install a secret button under his desktop that allowed him to remotely lock his office door once an unsuspecting victim had entered his lair.  What in the hell did NBC’s executives think he wanted that for?  Plus, we have even more allegations against Lauer leaking out this morning.  So, please, spare us.
  • And what of all these morning “news and talk” programs in general?  We have now had three major figures – Mark Halperin of MSNBC’s Morning Joe, CBS’s Morning host Charlie Rose, and now Lauer – knocked off because they are, well, monsters.  How many more monsters lurk out there amidst all the snark, wine guzzling, fake laughter and phony on-camera camaraderie that goes on on those sets each morning?  How long can it be before we find out the hard way?
  • Also, what’s up at 30 Rock?  As already noted, two of the big media muckety-mucks who have now gone down – Lauer and Halperin – were NBC people.  Let us also never forget that NBC was the network that attempted to bury Ronan Farrow’s original investigative report on Harvey Weinstein, claiming it was not ready to be aired.  Farrow then took the story to The New Yorker, which almost immediately took it to press.
  • Was NBC News President Andy Lack – who hilariously claimed yesterday to have been blissfully unaware of Lauer’s horrible behavior – in fact nervous about having Lauer being forced to report on Weinstein in great depth and detail?  How would that have worked?  Would he have been able to keep a straight face while pretending to condemn Weinstein’s behavior?  Would he have required an off-air coach to teach him the proper facial expressions to mimic while doing his “reporting?”  In any event, it is becoming uncomfortably evident that NBC has a culture problem that needs to be addressed pretty quick, because the thought that Lack or anyone else who worked with Lauer had no idea about his behavior is patently absurd.
  • For those of us out here in flyover country, the moral to this accelerating fake news media sex abuse extravaganza is the old “those who live in glass houses should not be throwing stones” deal.  Lauer, Halperin and Rose have all sat there for many years in their fancy broadcast sets with their pancake makeup and carefully coiffed hair (yes, Lauer used to have hair), lecturing and preaching to ordinary Americans about how they need to behave, not just in the workplace, but in every aspect of their daily lives.  But, as so often turns out to be the case in this crazy life, it turns out that many of those doing the lecturing and preaching are the very worst actors imaginable.
  • In response to all of yesterday’s revelations, longtime muckraker Geraldo Rivera said in a tweet that “News is a flirty business.”  Given what we are all starting to find out about the culture that exists inside these big fake news operations, I think he just misspelled “dirty”.

Just another day in fake news media downfall America.

That is all.

Media Lapdogs – The Great Enablers of Sexual Abuse on Capitol Hill

  • BOOM!  As I’m writing this morning’s Update, Down Goes Lauer!  Down Goes Lauer!  Down Goes Lauer!  More on this tomorrow.
  • Melanie Sloan, a former top communications aide to 88 year-old Democrat Congressman John Conyers, told an interviewer on Tuesday of an instance in which Conyers called her to his office when he was in his underwear.  “I was pretty taken aback to see my boss half-dressed,” she told The Washington Post. “I turned on my heel and I left.”  Alrighty, then.  Ms. Sloan has leveled sexual harassment allegations at Conyers that date back to 1997, 20 years ago.
  • The unfortunately named Bob Weiner (no word if he hails from the Anthony Weiner clan), who served as Conyers’ communications director from 1994 to 2000, told a group of reporters assembled outside Conyers’ congressional office that, “Something else that people need to know: his closet is in his office right here. He changes clothes in his office.”  So that makes it all ok, then.  Right?
  • Ok, no it doesn’t.  Over the last 20 years I’ve visited dozens, perhaps hundreds of congressional offices, and can personally attest to the fact that pretty much all those offices have closets in them.  No doubt it is common for members of congress – men and women alike – to change clothes in their offices.  In fact, it has become increasingly common for some members of congress to actually live in their offices while in Washington, rather than go to the great expense of trying to keep a home in the nation’s capital.  And no doubt, staffers from time to time accidentally walk in on their boss while he or she is in the process of changing.  That’s the kind of oops moment that happens to everyone in life.
  • That is entirely different than a boss – any boss – asking his subordinate to come into his office, only to find him standing there in his underwear.  It is really not hard for any thinking person to make that simple distinction in circumstances.  But if your name is Bob Weiner, it’s apparently a very complex matter.
  • Look, John Conyers needs to be run out of congress on a rail.  The allegations by Ms. Sloan weren’t even the worst made against him this week.  The worst came from long-time fake journalist swamp creature Cokie Roberts, who smirkingly told her colleagues on ABC’s This Week that she and her fellow female fake journalist colleagues have “talked about for years: ‘Don’t get in the elevator with him,’ you know, and the whole every-female in the press corps knew that, right, don’t get in elevator with him.”  Wait, what?
  • This statement by Roberts is perhaps more damaging to the fake press corps than it is to Congressman Conyers himself.  So, every woman covering Capitol Hill has known for many years that, if you get on an elevator with this guy, you’re probably going to be sexually assaulted?  This isn’t funny, it’s not cute, it’s not something for any real journalist to be smirking about on national television.  If what Cokie says is true, this guy has been a menace to women for decades, given that it has been decades since Ms. Roberts was actually a reporter who actively walked the halls of the congressional office buildings.
  • Even more disgusting, Cokie’s comments mean that she believes that literally every woman in the Capitol Hill press corps has been actively covering up Conyers’ abuse of women for decades.  It raises the question of whether Conyers would have received similar cover from the women of the press if he were a Republican, instead of a fellow Democrat.
  • This lapdog behavior by all these fake journalists is one of the main reasons why many members of congress have been able to skate by for the last 22 years while paying out more than $18 million from a taxpayer-funded slush fund to settle complaints involving sexual harassment and other wrongdoing.
  • It’s important to remember that Conyers and Sen. Al Franken are just the tip of a vast iceberg here.  As more and more accusations of sexual abuse by members of congress come out, it will be important for the public to judge how long the abuse has been going on, and why the press never reported on it.
  • Because, just like in Hollywood, when you have a serial abuser running around, everyone knows about it, just like Cokie and all her female fake reporter colleagues have always known about John Conyers.

Just another day in everyone always knows America.

That is all.

The Congressional Protection Racket Forms Up Around Franken and Conyers

Today’s Campaign Update

  • Senator Al Franken said on Sunday that he is “embarrassed and ashamed” over his apparent obsession with grabbing womens’ butts over the years, but not so embarrassed or ashamed that he plans to give up his job in the U.S. Senate, where he will report for booty, er, duty today.  Let’s hope he and Roy Moore get to serve on the same committees should Moore begin a senate term in January – the hearings will make for tremendous political theater.
  • She meant “zero tolerance for thee, not for me.” – Meanwhile, if you’re wondering why Alabama’s Republican voters might still elect Judge Moore to the senate in spite of the allegations arrayed against him, look no further than Sunday morning’s interview by San Fran Nan Pelosi on NBC’s Meet the Press.  Pelosi has spent the last few weeks shrieking that Moore should leave the race because his accusers must – MUST, I say – be believed,  and that congress should have “zero tolerance” for sex abusers.  But, when asked if that “zero tolerance” should apply to Democrat Cong. John Conyers, who has also been accused by several women of disgusting episodes of sexual harassment, she told NBC’s fake host Chuck Todd that Conyers deserves “due process. Just because someone is accused…was it one accusation, is it two?…John Conyers is an icon in our country. He has done a great deal to protect women.”  *sigh*
  • When Republican and independent voters in Alabama see such a rank double-standard being practiced not only by the fake news media, but also by the literal national face of the Democrat Party, it naturally reduces their willingness to believe the allegations facing Judge Moore.  After all, if, as Pelosi clearly implies, the accusers actually aren’t to just be believed out of hand, then why should they buy into the allegations against Moore, when the only actual evidence presented thus far – the supposed signature in one accuser’s high school yearbook – has pretty much conclusively been demonstrated to be a forgery?
  • So, Franken and Conyers get protected by both their fellow Democrats and by Republicans Mitch McConnell and Paul Ryan, who have begun “investigations” into their behavior by the Office of Congressional Ethics (OCE).  This is akin to siccing Inspector Clouseau onto the paths of serial killers.  Placing these matters in the hands of the OCE simply means that nothing will happen for many months, as the “investigation” proceeds at a snail’s pace, in the hopes that it will all fade from the public’s collective memory in the meantime.  Then, once the “investigation” is completed, the results will be quietly released at about 6:30 ET on a Friday evening – preferably at the start of a holiday weekend – so as to incur the minimum possible media attention.
  • It’s a bi-partisan protection racket. – But of course, we all must keep in mind that it isn’t just Democrat members of congress who have much to lose here – it’s Republicans, too.  Conyers’ lawyer threatened over the weekend that, if his client goes down, he will take lots of other members of congress down with him.  That probably won’t be too hard for Conyers to achieve, given that a congressional slush fund has payed out roughly $18 million over the last 20 years in settlements of sexual harassment cases.  Oh, the humanity!
  • Their rush to protect Franken and Conyers by calling for OCE “investigations” doesn’t necessarily mean McConnell and Ryan have anything to hide themselves, but they do no doubt have many members of their respective houses of congress to protect, and they’re wasting no time doing it.  After all, whether Republican or Democrat, members of congress, like Ryan, McConnell and Pelosi, are members of America’s protected, ruling class.  They have all become quite accustomed to exempting themselves from the laws and mandated behaviors that apply to the rest of us, and they’ll be damned if they’re going to go down without a fight.
  • No one ever said that draining the DC Swamp was going to be easy.

Just another day in congressional protection racket America.

That is all.

Sunday Scattershooting While Wondering Whatever Happened to That Delightful Frederica Wilson?

Today’s Campaign Update

  • Sunday’s Required Reading – The Daily Caller has a great piece this morning by Michael Bastach, chronicling many of the innumerable “the end is near” predictions made over the last 30 years by the frauds in the Global Warming alarmist community.  It’s a great read, and a good reminder of just how wrong all these projections have been.  Of course, the point of the Global Warming scam is not to be right, it is to frighten the public into accepting collectivist political policies as the only “solution” to a problem that most likely doesn’t exist.  Take the 10 minutes necessary to read this piece – you’ll be glad you did, and smarter, too.
  • Speaking of collectivists running scams on the public, the globalists who still infest the U.S. State Department like the cockroaches in a 30 year-old single-wide have been caught attempting to influence Hungary’s elections.  The U.S. will pour $700,000 into that country’s media in an effort to defeat Hungarian PM Victor Orban, who is opposed to the open borders policies that are in the process of destroying the native cultures in Germany, France and other European Union countries.  So, to be clear, the same globalists who have been screaming for a year about Russia’s alleged efforts to influence the 2016 U.S. elections have no problem at all doing it to other countries.  But then, we already knew that, didn’t we?
  • Hey, let’s tie the Global Warming scam to the sexual harassment frenzy while we’re at it – John Phillips, writing in the Orange County Register, wonders aloud how it is that Al Gore, the Capo di tutti capi of all Global Warming scammers, has managed to escape scrutiny in the ongoing sexual assault feeding frenzy?  It’s a great question, given that Mr. Gore has been publicly accused several times of improper sexual behavior with women.  That’s a real ‘inconvenient truth’ if there ever was one, huh?
  • Perhaps, as Professor of Sexual Violence Wendy Murphy detailed back in 2010, Honest Al gets a pass because he’s just sooooo darn green, an affliction that also infests about 99% of the national news media at this point.  But it does seem odd that, even as so many Bill Clinton media shills are finding it convenient to finally condemn him after all these years, Mr. Gore continues to just skate by, flying under the radar, as it were.  It hardly seems fair.
  • Getting tired of all this winning yet? – Don Surber celebrates the possibility that President Donald Trump (I never get tired of typing those words) may be able to appoint twice as many judges to the federal bench by the end of 2018 than Barack Obama did during his entire eight years in office.  We can thank the thankfully gone Harry Reid and his idiotic decision to kill the use of the filibuster in the judicial confirmation process, along with a long-awaited plan to expand the federal judiciary for this happy potential reality.
  • Or maybe it’s because of the simple fact that sexual harassment and abuse has been running rampant in Hollywood and the liberal national culture at large for far too long, and people got fed up with it. – Columnist David Brooks, who pretends to be a ‘conservative’ for the NYTimes and PBS, told his PBS co-host Judy Woodruff on Friday that he believes the wave of sexual abuse allegations is because of a public reaction to…wait for it…DONALD TRUMP.  Holy cow.
  • Here’s a direct quote:   “I think the reaction to Trump is part of the deal here. And we’ve talked about Trump maybe polluting our national culture, but it could be the reaction to Trump is also making us hypersensitive and making us want to correct the national culture. And so, you could be a — see a reaction to — the Trump wave, I think, has lowered norms and standards, but a lot of people would say, ‘No, we’re not happy with this, we’re going to raise norms and standards.’ ”  Only a liberal pretending to be a conservative could engage in such twisted leaps of logic.
  • Finally, Former FBI Director James Comey, who has recently begun using his Twitter account all too frequently, issued the following Tweet on Saturday:  “‘Our Liberty depends on freedom of the press, and that cannot be limited without being lost.’ – Thomas Jefferson, Jan. 28, 1786.”  For the record, James Comey was FBI Director when Fox News reporter James Rosen was wire-tapped by that corrupt agency.  Just sayin’.

Just another day in frauds, frauds, everywhere America.

That is all.

Kathleen Parker Proves The Moore Campaign Right About The Washington Post

Today’s Campaign Update

  • The reliable Democrat shills at the Associated Press have a lovely puff piece out this morning on Sen. Al Franken’s growing groping scandal.  The piece, titled “Franken’s rising political star obscured by accusations”, portrays the SNL refugee as an intrepid pursuer of truth, justice and the leftist way, all the while putting his serial degrading and groping of women in the best light possible.
  • My favorite part is the following paragraph:  “It’s always a great disappointment when leaders you like and admire do bad stuff,” said Mike Lux, a liberal Democratic consultant. He said it was premature to say how the allegations would affect Franken’s career. But, Lux added, “If more incidents come to light, he’s got a real problem.”  So, just so we’re keeping score here, four gropes and abuses of women is ok for a Democrat Senator.  But any more than that, why, he’s got a problem.  Holy cow.
  • So good of you to finally point that out. – Meanwhile, the #NeverTrump nitwits who run the National Review published a piece by Deroy Murdock on Thanksgiving Day that contains unbridled praise of …wait for it…DONALD TRUMP!  I kid you not, Mr. Murdock, who is a contributing editor for TNR, has awakened to the fact that, as he puts it, “The Never Trump faction still claims that the president of the United States “is no conservative.” And yet, with rare deviations (such as free trade), he spends nearly every day implementing the conservative agenda.”  Ahem.  Some of us have been telling you guys this for ten months now.  Welcome to the party, pal.
  • The Award for The Most Absurd Global Warming Claim of the Month goes to a group of chemists at the UK’s universities of Reading, Bristol and Bath, who issued a report this week claiming that frying foods is now causing the earth to heat up.  I swear I don’t make this stuff up.  Who could?
  • It’s a dirty job, but somebody’s gotta do it. – In case you still harbor reservations about how much you love the job Sarah Huckabee Sanders is doing as White House Press Secretary, read this column from Kathleen Parker at the Washington Post, and you’ll lose all doubt.  Ms. Parker, who used to pretend to be a conservative but now just spends her column space endlessly whining about the Trump presidency, complains that Ms. Sanders “humiliates the media on a daily basis.”  Ummmmm…yeah, so?  Is there a point here?
  • Ms. Parker’s big complaint – her last straw with Ms. Sanders, apparently – was that Sanders began her press briefing on Wednesday by – gasp! – asking various members of the press corps to talk about one thing for which they are actually thankful.  It seems that, in Parker’s mind, asking this band of eternal grumps to say one positive thing about anything amounts to “humiliating” them.  “Yet again, she controlled the crowd, though this time by candy-coating her usual condescension with faux fellowship,” Parker wrote.  “I’m thankful I wasn’t in the room.”  Alrighty, then.
  • But Parker wasn’t done, oh, no, she wasn’t:  “For a press secretary to require professional journalists to essentially beg for their supper, surrendering their adversarial posture like a dog commanded to Drop The Bone, is an infantilizing tactic.  The effect is to neutralize the opposition.”
  • First of all, what “professional journalists” would those be?  The White House press corps is nothing but the single biggest collection of fake journalists on the planet.  There isn’t a real journalist among this gaggle of primping, preening asshats.
  • Second, how does asking any person to talk about one positive thing in their life “infantilize” them?  If the price of adulthood is chronic grumpiness, someone failed to point that out to about 99% of the people on this planet.  Kathleen Parker, though, obviously got the memo.
  • Third, on that part about “surrendering their adversarial posture like a dog commanded to Drop The Bone,” well, this particular pack of dogs dropped those bones for eight long, disgusting Obama years that amounted to a disgrace to the entire profession of journalism.  So spare us that nonsense, Kathy.
  • On Wednesday, a spokesman for the Roy Moore campaign referred to the Washington Post as a “worthless piece of crap.”  Ms. Parker’s column presents irrefutable proof of the accuracy of that assessment.

Just another day in worthless crap journalism America.

That is all.
