That Day the New York Times Decided to Hold Hillary Clinton Accountable, or Something

  • Tired of all this Winning yet?  Part I – the Dow jumped up by more than 220 points on Friday to close at yet another record high of 26,617.  For those of you who invest in the markets, it has now added 7.7% to your 401(k) or IRA balance just in the first 26 days of 2018.  Since Election Day 2016, the Dow is now up more than 44%.  Let’s all remember and laugh one more time at the fact that Paul Krugman, the New York Times Nobel Prize-winning economist, told a national TV audience on election night that the markets would “never recover” from the election of Donald Trump to the presidency.  Hah-hah, ho-ho, hee-hee, it is to laugh.
  • Tired of all this Winning yet?  Part II – Contrary to all the fake news media reports predicting he would be shunned by the globalists and world leaders at Davos, President Donald Trump was in fact received like a rock star by that assemblage of the world’s depraved elites.  Turns out they’re all pretty pleased with the health of their investment portfolios, too.  Who could have predicted that?
  • Tired of all this Winning yet?  Part III – Speaking of elites, Tom Steyer – who I like to refer to as The Billionaire Boy King of Futile Gestures for all of his failures to ban hydraulic fracturing in Colorado and California, and his idiotic “impeach Trump” ads that ran last fall – is now fed up with the Democrat Party.  It seems the Boy King demanded that Chuck Schumer and his fellow Senate Ds go down all the way with their sinking ship of a government shutdown, and when they folded, Steyer exploded.  So now, he’s walking away from his normal funding of the DNC and other Democrat money pits in a huff.  Oh, darn, isn’t that upsetting or something?
  • Speaking of the tired old New York Times, the fake news paper of fake record has finally decided to try to hold Hillary Clinton accountable for something.  But before we talk about that, let’s review all the scandals for which the fake news paper worked diligently to cover up on Hillary’s behalf over the last 25 years:
    • Bilking dozens of middle class investors out of their life savings in the Whitewater scandal?  Ah, why should anyone care about a bunch of Arkansas suckers?
    • Having affairs with Web Hubbell and Vince Foster, the latter of whom was found dead in LaFayette Park a few hours after having a brawl with the Pantsuit Princess in the White House?  Meh.  Nothing to see here.
    • Illegally obtaining the raw FBI files of 1,000 political enemies and lying about to congress?  Is that problem?  Are there, like, rules against that or something?
    • Facilitating the sale of 20% of U.S. uranium reserves to Russia in obvious exchange for $150 million in contributions to the Clinton Foundation?  Again, this question of rules?  How common of anyone to find it somehow wrong for a Secretary of State to take bribes from America’s major adversary.
    • Misusing classified information on an illegal email server?  Ah, so what if people may have gotten killed and the server was probably hacked by other countries – Trump talks funny!  Look at this shiny object over here!
    • Rigging the Democrat primary process in order to steal the nomination from Bernie Sanders?  Oh, that Hillary, she’s such a scamp!
    • Paying Fusion GPS to collude with Russian agents to concoct a phony Trump Dossier in an attempt to rig the general election in 2016?  Again, this Trump fellow talks funny!  His hair is positively awful!  Shiny object!
  • But now comes an allegation that, during the 2008 campaign, the Coughing Crook provided cover for an advisor who supposedly sexually harassed someone, and the NYTimes finally wakes up and says “Hey, hey, hey, can’t be doing that, now!  Why, that’s a bridge too far!”  Mind-boggling.
  • Think about the absurdity of trying to shame Hillary Clinton for covering up for a woman abuser.  My God, she’s been covering up for her own freaking husband for the last 40 years, and no one at the NYTimes ever gave a tinker’s damn about any of that.
  • Of course, what this is is the latest effort by the Times  – and every other fake news outlet, all of whom have now parroted the Times story ad nauseum – as if anyone really cares about it – to avoid reporting in any real way on Trump’s success in Davos, and the ongoing major corruption scandal at the FBI.
  • For her own part, the Faining Felon is so darn worried about this whole ‘harassment coverup’ scandal that she issued a couple of tweets in response to the Times story on Friday.  She knows it will all be gone by Monday, and hey, in the context of all the other scandals in her life, this one is sort of like getting a mosquito bite.
Just another day in fake New York Times faking the news America.
That is all.

How to Cope With Our Fake News Media-Created Alternative Universe

  • If the NFL were any more self-destructive we’d have to call it the DNC – the grand poobahs who run the NFL rejected an ad proposed for its Super Bowl game program by the military veterans group AMVETS because it was “too political.”  The ad simply urged fans to stand for the national anthem at the game, using the phrase #PleaseStand, which the NFL judged to be unacceptable.  I swear I don’t make this stuff up.
  • Here’s some advice for you when reading the news in the coming weeks and months:  Don’t jump to any conclusions about the motivations of the various actors in the major Obama-era spying scandal and other stories we are seeing unfolding in Washington D.C.  It is getting easier over time to separate the good guys from the bad guys, but there are so many false reports out there and the steps that are being taken by the good guys are often so subtle that first impressions can be wrong.  So, best advice is to give yourselves a good 36-48 hours before drawing any conclusions, because these stories have a way of working themselves out to unexpected conclusions.
  • One good example of what I’m talking about:  For some reason, I follow @TheHill on Twitter.  The Hill used to be a respectable newspaper distributed mainly on Capitol Hill, but is now just another fake news outlet.  I follow the rag’s Twitter feed mainly for the comic effect.
  • Anyway, Friday evening, @TheHill tweeted a story alleging, based anonymous sources of course, that DeutscheBank was accusing Jared Kushner of money laundering, and Robert Mueller was investigating.  This was obviously a false story planted late on a Friday in the hopes it would linger all weekend and cause Kushner, and thus President Trump, reputational harm.  When I saw the tweet from @TheHill, I responded saying exactly that, and that the clowns that run that Twitter feed are a disgrace to their profession.  But they get that all the time, so…
  • Lo and behold, on Monday, DeutscheBank did indeed deny the story outright, and @TheHill meekly tweeted out the retraction.  This is just an example of the kind of fake stories that are ubiquitous in our fake news media today.  Some are planted by the DOJ/FBI cabal, some are planted by Mueller and his crew, some are planted by congressional Democrats like Adam Schiff, and some are even planted by the good guys.
  • Here’s an example of the latter:  On Sunday evening, a fake story circulated alleging that FBI Director Christopher Wray had threatened to resign when Attorney General Jeff Sessions ordered him to fire his corrupt and compromised Deputy Director, Andrew McCabe.  This story immediately did not pass the smell test, given that it was yet again based only on anonymous sources, which is why I haven’t mentioned it in the last two Campaign Updates.  I figured I’d give it a good 48 hours to work itself out.  Guess what happened?
  • At mid-day on Tuesday, President Trump outright denied the fake story, and barely an hour later, the FBI announced that Chief of Staff James Rybicki was “resigning” to “seek other opportunities,” which is corporate speak for he’d been summarily fired.  What do you reckon happened there?  Here’s what seems likely:  Rybicki was the “anonymous source,” having been fed that story by one of the good guys within the FBI, maybe by Director Wray himself.
  • This same process has been used by the President and AG Sessions to identify a number of leakers and get rid of them over the last 6-8 months, and will be used many times more.  So be patient and don’t jump to conclusions – draining this swamp is going to take a long time.
  • Then there’s the story in Vanity Fair that claims the President and Chief of Staff John Kelly hate each other and President Trump has Ivanka Trump actively scouting for a replacement.  Yeah, don’t believe that one either until you see it happen.  Remember that everyone in the fake news media was claiming that Kelly was about to resign way back in September, after he’d been on the job for barely a month.
  • Every day is filled with stories in the fake news media that have literally zero basis in fact.  There are so many of them and they come and go so quickly that it becomes nearly impossible to fully absorb them all.  I told a friend the other day that we used to live in a 48 to 96 hour news cycle, a cycle in which major stories would dominate for 2 to 4 days before being shoved off the front page or the top of the hour by the next major story.
  • Today we live in about a 2 to 4 HOUR news cycle, and it keeps getting shorter.  Some days it feels like a 30 minute cycle, really.  So, best rule of thumb:  If you see a story that appears to be highly negative to the Trump Administration, wait a couple of days to see if it still has legs.  What you’re going to find out is that pretty much none of them do.
  • But hey, when you are living in fake news media-created alternative universe, that’s not an accident, and it’s really not surprising, is it?
Just another day in fake news media America.
That is all.

The Government Shutdown is Here! The First Round is on Me!

  • Tired of all this Winning yet? – Yesterday’s Campaign Update told you that shutting down the government would be the best outcome for the Republicans.  Lo and behold, we have our government shutdown, as the Republicans completely out-maneuvered the Democrats on one of these things for like the first time ever.  They have President Trump and Chuck Schumer, who completely over-played a terribly weak hand to thank for that.
  • With polls showing that 70% or more of the public wanting to do “something” to “protect” the poor DACA “kids” – many of whom are in their 30s – Schumer and every other Democrat spent the entire week claiming they would not do a deal to extend government funding without including some sort of amnesty for these folks who are in our country illegally.
  • When President Trump called Schumer over to the White House early Friday afternoon, Chuckie boy rushed over with a list of demands in-hand, no doubt expecting Trump to cave, like any of his Republican predecessors would have done in this same situation.  But Trump is not a Bush, and no caving was to be had, so poor Chuckie left the White House in a huff, so obviously angry that he actually passed up a chance to talk to the assembled reporters outside, the first time Mr. Schumer has passed up a chance to have his face on TV since he was in grade school.  At that moment, he no doubt fully intended to get back over the Capitol and hold a presser announcing his caucus was going to shut down the government.
  • But a couple of funny things happened while he was on his way back to the office.  First, he was no doubt told by his staff that the hashtag #SchumerShutdown had been trending on Twitter since Sarah Huckabee Sanders had used the term in her White House press briefing earlier in the day.  Second, CNN released a poll while Schumer was in the Oval Office showing that, by a margin of 56 to 34, people thought it was more important to keep the government open and protect Americans than it is to shut it down over an issue related to 800,000 illegal immigrants.
  • Why was that CNN poll such a big deal?  Well, you have to think like the Democrats think.  While there are still good people in the Democrat Party – no, really, there truly still are a handful of well-intentioned Americans still willing to associate with this band of miscreants – the party itself has no soul.  The party itself really believes in nothing, unless believing in something helps it to obtain and maintain political power.  That’s it.  They don’t really give a damn about these DACA “kids”, unless caring about them helps them in that over-arching goal.  Thus, that CNN poll told them clearly that standing firm on a DACA fix at this time was a horrible political loser for them, bigly.
  • Thus, Schumer and his entire caucus then went into panic mode, and spent the next several hours trying to concoct talking points that would make giving in look like some sort of “victory”, and throwing out an array of alternative plans that would have allowed them to keep the government open while saving a little face.  But Mitch McConnell and his Senate Republicans for once held firm and rejected each and every one of them, even as little Lindsey Graham was conducting shuttle diplomacy between Schumer’s and McConnell’s offices, begging them all to give in one more time.
  • So, we wake up this morning, on the anniversary of Donald Trump’s being sworn into office, with 14% of the federal government technically shut down.  As the Campaign Update said on Friday, this is literally the perfect coda to Trump’s first year in office.  If you want to clean out the swamp, one of the things you simply must do is stop giving in to the Democrats in these idiotic games of political brinksmanship.
  • The real glory in all of this is that President Trump for once does not get all the credit for the GOP finally, at long last, doing the right thing.  The happy fact is that every leader in the congressional GOP played his role perfectly.  Speaker Paul Ryan had his congressional chamber pass the bill that set the tone – with bi-partisan support – on Thursday, and then promptly adjourned the House and sent everyone home so they would not be around to gum up the works any further.  Perfect.
  • McConnell and Senate Majority Whip John Cornyn then played their hand perfectly all day long on Friday, putting out a steady drumbeat of consistent messaging about how the Democrats were ignoring the interests of the millions of American citizens in the name of making a special deal for a relative handful of illegal immigrants, a message that Ryan stayed in town to help push as well.
  • It was all perfect.  Everyone played their roles just right.  They’ll still get blamed for the shutdown by the fake news media, but the panic on the Democrat side clearly demonstrated which party will gain strength from this shutdown come election day.
  • At long last, Donald Trump appears to be rubbing off on members of his own party.  They’re slow learners, but it does seem that these old dogs are capable of learning new tricks.  Tricks like #Winning in situations where they had always lost in the past.  This is a day to celebrate if you really care about this country.
Just another day in President Trump just keeps on #Winning America.
That is all.

A Government Shutdown Would Be the Best Outcome for the GOP

  • Tired of all this Winning yet?  Part I – The New York Times released a poll on Thursday showing Americans’ support for the recently-passed Tax Cuts and Jobs Act is soaring upwards as people wake up to the fact that they’ve been lied to about its impacts by the Democrats and their agents in the fake news media.  This comes before the new tax withholding tables begin to result in higher paychecks for working folks.  Just wait until that kicks in.  This is all very predictable.
  • Tired of all this Winning yet?  Part II – Bloomberg reports that U.S. jobless claims last week fell to their lowest level since 1973.  This likely means that the unemployment rate, already at its lowest point since 2000 at 4.1%, may well fall even further in January.  #Winning.
  • All members of the House Intelligence Committee were given full access to the final tranche of the “Russia Collusion” documents released by the FBI and DOJ on Thursday, along with a four page executive summary report that details the documents’ contents.  The intrepid Sara Carter – one of a small handful of real, actual journalists still working in the nation’s capital these days – reports that Cong. Matt Gaetz and other Republican members of the Committee are so shocked at the wrongdoing at DOJ and the FBI revealed in this report that they are demanding its immediate release to the public.
  • But, Carter says, one ranking member of the Committee told her it could take until the end of the month before that happens.  Why in the world would it take that long?  C’mon, guys, take a cue from California’s bug-eyed Congressman Adam Schiff and the other Democrats on the Committee and just leak the damn thing.  This is a war for the soul of this country: Stop fighting this war with Nerf guns when your opposition keeps fighting it with AR-15s.
  • Well, here we are again:  the Democrats in the Senate are intent upon shutting down 14% of the government until they get amnesty for the 800,000 “DREAMers”, who are in our country illegally, in exchange for agreeing to yet another short-term continuing resolution, and the Republicans are in their standard panic because they know the mean ol’ fake news media will blame them for it all.  This is the most pathetic of all of Washington’s myriad ongoing Kabuki dances that get repeated several times every year.
  • It is also yet another example of how the establishment Republicans who make up the party’s leadership in congress have not the slightest idea what is good for them.  The simple fact of the matter is that the best thing the GOP could do would be to issue a joint announcement from Paul Ryan and Mitch McConnell this morning  that says the Republican members of congress are prepared to pass a clean bill to fund the government through the end of this fiscal year, and will do so as soon as the Democrats in the Senate can produce the 9 votes necessary to get that done.
  • Every Republican in congress should then simply leave town and come back only after the Democrats have produced those 9 votes.  Let the Democrats have their shut-down, and let the American people see, for as long as that lasts, that the only potential impact that has on their lives is that they won’t get to make that trip to Yellowstone or Yosemite that 99.9 percent of them weren’t planning on taking anyway.
  • This is the same principle as what is happening with the tax bill:  As ordinary Americans wake up to the fact that San Fran Nan and everyone at CNN spent months lying to them about what that law really does, their attitudes towards it are changing.  The same thing would happen with a government “shut-down” that only shuts down “non-essential” services that only constitute 14% of the damn government.  Let it happen, and let it go on for as long as it takes, and watch public attitudes change as people wake up to the reality that the Democrats and fake news media have been lying to them about that, too.
  • Besides, the Republicans have a very recent object lesson about government shutdowns that they just refuse to learn from.  The last time the GOP got blamed for shutting down the government – in 2013, when Ted Cruz forced it to happen with a filibuster over Obamacare – what were the consequences for getting blamed for it?
  • The ‘consequence’ was that, 14 months after that shutdown took place, the GOP won its single biggest sea-change congressional blowout in history.  Why did that happen?  Because that filibuster by Senator Cruz proved that at least some congressional Republicans were capable of standing on principle, the GOP base voters turned out in near-record numbers in the 2014 elections as a result.
  • But because that object lesson came from Cruz, who is roundly hated by almost all establishment Republicans, those GOPe members of congress refuse to admit he was right, and continue their skittish ways in these brinksmanship situations.
  • President Trump should also take that object lesson to heart.  A shutdown of the government would be the perfect coda to the end of his first full year in office.  You want to truly clean out the DC Swamp?  Refuse – just refuse to sign any “continuing resolution” and demand that congress do its job and produce a real budget for the rest of FY 2018.  Put an end to all this government shutdown nonsense once and for all.  That would take all this Winning to another level entirely.
  • Sadly, though, the President appears to be taking his advice on this from the same squeamish dimwits who are advising Ryan and McConnell.  That’s too bad, because he is missing a golden opportunity to do something yuuuuge to truly make America great again.
Just another day in squeamish establishment Republicans America.
That is all.

Flake Bombs, CNN Fakes, Trump Wins Again

  • Tired of all this Winning yet?  Part I – The Dow Jones Industrials closed above 26,000 on Wednesday for the first time.  The Dow is now up more than 40% since the day U.S. voters chose to elect Donald Trump to the office of the presidency.
  • Tired of all this Winning yet?  Part II – Apple, of all companies, announced that it will invest more than $350 billion in the U.S. economy over the next 5 years.  The company said it “will commit $55 billion this year alone and plans on adding 20,000 new jobs over that time frame.”  Apple CEO Tim Cook, no fan of President Trump, admitted that much of this new investment and job creation is directly attributable to the recently passed tax bill.
  • So much Winning, but Wednesday was a day for fake news, as fake Republican Senator Jeff Flake took to the well of the senate to condemn President Trump for using the term, after which the President posted his first annual Fake News Awards at the GOP.com website.  In between, CNN naturally got in on the act with its own latest bit of news fakery.
  • Flake, the failed senator from Arizona who makes John McCain look like a loyal member of the GOP, spoke at mid-day before a virtually empty senate chamber.  In his talk, he bizarrely claimed that the first amendment to the constitution renders U.S. news media completely exempt from criticism by the President or anyone else, and compared Mr. Trump to Joseph Stalin, the mass murderer of millions, because he regularly uses the term “fake news” to describe what is unarguably “fake news” that appears at news outlets like CNN, NBC, ABC, the Washington Post and the NY Times.
  • In making his idiotic speech, Sen. Flake showed once again that he embodies everything ordinary Americans hate about politicians.  He is utterly vain, completely without the slightest shred of loyalty, has no discernible set of political principles, and despite his incredibly low standing with his home state voters, possesses an amazingly inflated sense of his own self-importance.
  • Only Jeff Flake believes that anyone other than Jeff Flake gives a flying rat’s ass what Jeff Flake thinks about this subject.  The virtually empty chamber before which Flake gave his speech was the perfect metaphor for this empty suit of a politician.
  • As if to prove Trump’s point, CNN couldn’t help weighing in with its latest in a long line of news fakery, courtesy of its resident fake doctor, the Trump-hating Sanjay Gupta.  Having “diagnosed” the President from the CNN studio, Mr. Gupta, in a desperate last-ditch attempt to salvage the fake media’s “Trump is unfit to serve” narrative that was utterly decimated by White House Physician Ronny Jackson on Tuesday, claimed the President suffers from heart disease and is likely to have a heart attack in the next 3-5 years.
  • That this armchair diagnosis by a fake TV “doctor” conflicted directly with the assessment given by the highly-respected White House physician who has served three different presidents matters not to the news fakers at CNN.  Credibility is not a consideration a their network – only the narrative of the day that has been coordinated with the Democrat Party matters.  Jackson described the President’s heart health as “amazing” for a man of his age, and said he has no concerns about Mr. Trump remaining perfectly healthy through not just one, but two terms in office.  CNN simply could not allow that to stand, and Gupta’s report was its answer.  Fake News, defined.
  • Early Wednesday evening, the President posted his 2017 Fake News Awards at the GOP.com website.  After he tweeted out the announcement, the traffic was so enormous that the site crashed within a few seconds.
  • CNN walked away the night’s big winner, earning four of the ten trophies for fake stories like:
    • Falsely editing video of the President with the Japanese Prime Minister to make it appear he carelessly over-fed fish on his visit to Japan;
    • Having to fire three employees over a fake Russia-related story the network was forced to retract;
    • Falsely reporting that Trump lied when he claimed that James Comey had told him he was not  under investigation for Russia ties; and
    • Falsely claiming that Donald Trump, Jr. had been given special access to WikiLeaks documents before they had been publicly released.
  • ABC’s disgraced fake reporter Brian Ross landed the runner-up award for filing a fake report that momentarily crashed the stock market back in November.  Ross was put on a month-long “leave” by ABC after his latest in a long line of fake reporting, but is now back at work for the fake news network.
  • But the big winner of the night was the New York Times resident fake economist Paul Krugman, who gravely told America on election night 2016 that the stock markets would “never recover” from the election of Donald Trump to the presidency.  As pointed out at the beginning of today’s update, the Dow is up more than 40% since Krugman – who actually owns a Nobel Prize in economics, proving just how fake the Nobel Committee has become – made his prediction.
  • Given how the day went, it seems appropriate to point out that the word “Flake” is “Fake” with an “L” added in.  The “L” is for loser.
Just another day in Donald Trump just keeps on Winning America.
That is all.

Thank Goodness President Trump Didn’t Use A Term That Starts With “Cluster…”

  • What is wrong with voters in Arizona?  In all seriousness, how does a single state end up electing the likes of John McCain and Jeff Flake to be its senators?  Of course, McCain won re-election yet again in 2016 just based on his name, but there is literally no excuse for Jeff Flake, who is blessedly reaching the end of his first – and only – senatorial term.
  • To Arizona citizens’ credit, Flake’s approval rating in his home state has hovered in the teens over the last year as he has become increasingly irrational, and that reality is what led him to decline to run for re-election.  But he gets to hang around for another year, and because he’s been a critic of President Donald Trump he is becoming a favorite go-to Republican for leftwing fake media outlets like ABC and MSNBC, where he made the rounds on Sunday morning.
  • First, Flake appeared on ABC’s “This Week” program, where he compared President Trump’s extremely accurate criticisms of America’s fake news media to tactics employed by Josef Stalin.  That statement alone will get him four more segments with George Stephanopoulos over the next few months.
  • This led next to an appearance on MSNBC’s “KasieDC”, a show hosted by an apparent 12 year-old fake journalist.  In this appearance, Flake demonstrated that he clearly suffers from delusions of grandeur, as he said he would not rule out making a run for the presidency in 2020.  This is known as the George Pataki Syndrome, and if you’re not quite sure who George Pataki is, that’s why it’s called that.
  • 43 years after Roger Staubach and Drew Pearson knocked the Minnesota Vikings out the NFL playoffs on the game’s final play with the legendary “Hail Mary Pass”, the Vikings got a “Hail Mary” of their own, as QB Case Keenum hit WR Stefon Diggs to knock the New Orleans Saints out of the playoffs and advance to the NFC Championship Game.  Fans of the Houston Texans should all remember that their Head Coach, Bill O’Brien, decided that Keenum just wasn’t good enough to play for his team.  The Texans sported a 4-12 record this season as Keenum was leading the Vikings to a division championship, and O’Brien was just awarded a 5-year contract extension.  Oof.
  • The Hawaii state employee who sent the state into chaos on Saturday by accidentally pushing a button that sent out a warning that a nuclear missile was incoming was “reassigned” by his bosses yesterday.  No word on what his new assignment might be, but lets hope they didn’t put him in a room with the Amber Alert button.
  • Meanwhile, California continues its devolution into America’s first third-world state.  The government announced on Friday that the Golden State now sports the highest poverty rate in the nation.  Yep, that’s higher than Mississippi, higher than Arkansas, higher than all 49 other states.  That Jerry Brown and his Marxist policies sure have done a world of good, huh?
  • Finally, as a public service for those who slept through it, here is a quick bullet-point review of how last week went:
    • In a private meeting in the Oval Office, President Trump allegedly uses the term “shithole countries” to describe countries that are, let’s face it, shitholes;
    • Democrat Dick Durbin leaks the President’s comment to the Washington Post;
    • Talking heads on CNN and MSNBC say “shithole” literally hundreds of times over the next 24 hours;
    • Social Justice Warriors who have spent their entire lives attempting to destroy every standard for decency in our society wail about the President having a foul mouth;
    • Democrat politicians who have for years told us that we can’t send illegal immigrants back to their home countries like Haiti and El Salvador because those countries are, let’s face it, “shitholes”, tweet out mocked-up images showing what beautiful places Haiti and El Salvador really are;
    • The terminally dishonest Sen. Durbin slams the President for using the term “chain migration”, claiming it is “racist”;
    • Hours later, video is revealed of Sen. Durbin calling for an end to “chain migration” in the well of the Senate in 2011;
    • A trans-gender traitor who was convicted of leaking classified information announced his/her run in the Maryland Democrat primary, challenging incumbent Ben Cardin for the U.S. Senate.  No one in the fake news media even blinks;
    • Some guy hits the wrong button and throws the entire state of Hawaii – which is not a “shithole” – into a 30-minute panic.  Liberals everywhere blame Donald Trump for an incident caused by a state agency because of course they do;
    • And it all ends with Jeff Flake, the least popular member of the U.S. Senate, telling a 12 year-old fake reporter on MSNBC that he might run for the presidency in 2020.
  • At the end of the week, we should all just breathe a sigh of relief that the President didn’t use a term that begins with the word “cluster.”  Whew.
Just another day in it was a real “shithole” of a week America.
That is all.

Saturday Trump Roundup – All The #Winning That’s Fit To Print

  • Tired of all this Winning yet?  Part I – For the 90th time since Election Day 2016, the Dow Jones Industrial Index closed at an all-time record high on Friday, and all other stock indeces did the same.  Do you really care that much about the President’s potty mouth?
  • Tired of all this Winning yet?  Part II – Retailers recorded the strongest holiday season sales in a decade.  Sales for November and December were up 5.5% over 2016.  Somewhere, Barack Obama’s talking points monkeys are trying to find a way for their guy to take credit.
  • Tired of all this Winning yet?  Part III – The IRS reported late Thursday that fully 90% of workers in the U.S. will see more take-home money in their paychecks as soon as February.  This is what San Fran Nan Pelosi refers to as “Armageddon.”
  • Tired of all this Winning yet?  Part IV – President Trump’s medical examination on Friday went “exceptionally well,” per the doctor in charge.  This is not really any surprise, but it is just one more nail in the coffin of the “Trump isn’t fit to hold the office” nonsense being pushed by the fake news media and the Democrats.
  • Tired of all this Winning yet?  Part V – Records show that the Yale psychiatry professor who unethically “diagnosed” the President as being mentally unstable doesn’t even have a license to practice.   Perhaps someone should diagnose her.
  • Where in the world is Hillary Clinton? Day 12. – Yes, friends, we are 12 days into 2018, and have still not heard a single public utterance from the Pantsuit Princess.  Oh, her Twitter account did issue a statement on the President’s “shithole” remark, but the Coughing Crook probably has a staff of half a dozen flunkies to man her Twitter feed.
  • I’m talking about actual words – you know, talking.  In public.  Not a word from the Fainting Felon, a dozen days into the year?  This is not normal.  Not normal at all.  Come to think of it, we haven’t seen anything out of Slick Willie either.  All year long.  Something’s up.  Wonder what it might be?
  • Speaking of Slick Willie, Elon Musk obviously learned a thing or two from him about public prevarication.  The headline at the Daily Caller this morning reads “Elon Musk Admits He Attended Sex Party, But That None Of The Activities Happened While He Was There”.   Sounds just like “Bill Clinton Admits To Smoking Pot, But Swears He Did Not Inhale”.  Slick must have lent Elon his old talking points monkeys.
  • Speaking of the Pantsuit Princess, New York Magazine revealed tape of abusive MSNBC fake host Chris Matthews – who somehow still has a job despite being revealed as a textbook harasser – talking about giving the Coughing Crook a “Bill Cosby pill” prior to interviewing her during the 2016 campaign.  ummmmm…that’s just gross.
  • The leftist UK Guardian ran a story on Friday titled “Is deep-red Texas ready for a gay Latina Democrat? Lupe Valdez thinks so”.  Ummm, no.  Probably not.  But it’s not because Ms. Valdez – who has led an incredibly admirable life that includes serving the country in the U.S. Army Reserve, and at the Department of Homeland Security before becoming Police Chief for the city of Dallas – is gay or Latina.  It’s because she’s in favor of abortion on demand, and she’s a Democrat in a state that hasn’t elected a Democrat to a statewide office since 1994.  No amount of wishful thinking on the part of the Texas Democrat Party or the fake news media is going to change that.  You don’t have to believe me – just ask Wendy Davis.
  • Paul Mirengoff has an excellent piece this morning at Powerline titled “Playing the Race Card on Immigration.”  You can read it for yourself – I highly recommend it – but I especially liked the closing line:  “It is cynical for Democrats and anti-Trumpers to play the race card in what is a legitimate policy dispute about immigration.”  Well, sure it is.  But playing the race card is all they got.
  • Finally, for all the Bernie Sanders fans out there, Daily Wire has a great piece this morning detailing the inevitable end game of Sanders’ socialist/communist policies that is playing itself out right now in Venezuela.  The headline reads “SOCIALIST PARADISE: Several Dead, 15 Injured In Fight For Food In Venezuela”.  Read the whole thing.  Seriously, just read it – it’ll do you good.  You might even learn something.
Just another day in Donald Trump just keeps Winning America.
That is all.

MSNBC’s Chris Matthews Becomes A #Metoo Test Case

  • Former Obama UN Ambassador Susan Rice, who is most famous for lying to the entire world about what got our people killed in the U.S. Embassy in Benghazi in 2012, weighed in on the demonstrations in Iran:  “How can Trump help Iran’s protesters?  Be quiet.”  That, of course, was the posture Barack Obama took towards a similar uprising in 2009, which helped sentence Iranians to 9 more years of rule under the yoke of the radical mullahs, who the Obama Administration actively supported and awarded access to hundreds of billions of dollars.  Were it not for radical Islamists, Barack Obama would have had no allies in the Middle East at all.  That’s the truth.
  • CNN didn’t have Kathy Griffin around for its New Year’s Eve telecast this year, but it did have some fake reporter named Randi Kaye to serve in Griffin’s former role as the personification of society’s lowest common denominator.  Ms. Kaye didn’t strip down to her bra or hold up a mocked-up bloody head of President Trump, but she did see fit to do a segment aboard one of Denver’s “CannaBus” party buses where everyone was getting stoned, even helping one passenger fire up a bong.  Meanwhile, on Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve, we found out that Britney Spears has gotten back into marvelous physical shape, but still can’t sing or dance.  But nobody in Vegas cares about the latter, obviously.
  • If you thought we knew all the Hillary Clinton scandals at this point, well, think again.  – WikiLeaks leaked another raft of emails on Monday, at least one of which shows the then-Clinton-headed State Department in 2010 receiving in advance the #fakenews publication schedule a week in advance from the New York Times.  If you think this sort of coordination between the fake news media and the Clinton/Obama people was an isolated thing, or that the Trump Administration probably receives similar head’s-up emails, you would be a very, very silly person.  You don’t have to believe me – just go Google “journolist” and read the results that come up for a nice refresher.
  • Al Franken is finally resigning today, but what about Chris Matthews?  Seriously, Franken’s resignation is a blessing for the country, but you have to wonder how MSNBC’s long-time host of “Hardball” will still be in his job by Friday after Sunday’s very detailed report from the Daily Caller about his maintenance of an extremely hostile work environment for women, with the help of a neglectful NBC human resources department and management.  Matthews, who has telegraphed all sorts of on-air cues indicating an abusively sexist mindset over the years, turns out, according to multiple people who worked with him at NBC, to be the guy they make all the sexual harassment videos about.  The Daily Caller’s report is every bit as well-sourced and explosive as was the New York Times’ report last fall on Harvey Weinstein that got the whole #Metoo movement started.  But, you might note that, because the Daily Caller is a “conservative” news outlet going after a very extreme liberal muckety-muck, none of the “mainstream” media outlets are picking up the story.  Imagine that.
  • This is a test case for my belief that the #Metoo thing is already running out of steam, as liberals all over the country finally figure out that it is mainly liberals who have been engaging in these horrible acts, and thus, it is mainly prominent liberals who are losing their jobs.  The radical left is also becoming increasingly concerned about the potential for the #Metoo movement to almost inevitably lead to increased scrutiny of the pedophilia issue that runs rampant in leftist circles, especially in Hollywood.  Plus, now that Roy Moore has been defeated in Alabama’s senate race, the #Metoo victims no longer provide Democrat politicians with convenient political fodder, so you can be sure that, once Franken’s political carcass is buried, the Democrat Party is going to drop this issue like a hot potato.
  • So the wagons are already being circled against #Metoo, especially at NBC, which has already lost Matt Lauer, Mark Halperin and several others in the scandal, and whose entire corporate work environment has been subjected to uncomfortable scrutiny.  All the other big media outlets, knowing they all have similar problems, are more than happy to serve as the de facto cavalry by looking the other way.  If Chris Matthews still has a job at the end of this week, then you’ll know the death of #Metoo is further along than even I had thought, and the only lasting outcome from it all will be some beefed-up sexual harassment training sessions in corporate workplaces around the country.  #Mesad about that, but #Mejustthemessenger.

Just another day in #Metoo is fading fast America.

That is all.

The Jackson Magnolia: That Shocking Time When The Media Invented A Fake News Story, And CNN Wasn’t To Blame

  • Heavy marijuana use has been linked to a “mysterious stomach illness” by researchers and doctors in Colorado and California, where pot use has been essentially fully legalized.  Victims report experiencing pain, vomiting and (big surprise) “mental fog” as symptoms.  Hey, docs, it’s not the pot:  It’s the nacho cheese Doritos and Big Gulp cherry Slurpees.
  • There was a time not so long ago when I used to tell all my friends that Matt Damon does not make bad movies.  And it was true:  from Mystic Pizza to Good Will Hunting to Saving Private Ryan to The Bourne Identity and on and on and on, the guy was churning out 2, 3, 4 movies a year that were all worth paying to see.  I mean, even Ocean’s 13 was at least entertaining.
  • But then came 2012, and it all fell apart.  If you look at Damon’s filmography, you will see that that was the only year during his entire career in which he made only a single film.  For some odd reason, the single film Damon chose to do that year was the wretched, stupefyingly tedious anti-fracking screed called Promised Land, a truly horrid bit of abject fiction that was just awful in every way.  The film failed miserably at the box office – grossing about a third of its production costs – and without doubt represents a true turning point in Damon’s career trajectory.
  • Since making the decision to participate in that pathetic hit piece on the Pennsylvania oil and gas industry, ditching all possible entertainment value for the sake of making a left-wing social statement,  Damon has had a hard time making a movie that isn’t laugh-out-loud awful.  This year’s choices were so bad that Damon has not one, but two flicks on film critic Rex Reed’s 10 Worst Films of 2017 list:  Down-Sizing and Suburbicon.  Given Damon’s long and very-much-aware association with the wretched Harvey Weinstein, this career turn could not happen to a nicer guy.
  • Tuesday was a slow news day, and slow news days always mean fewer Internet clicks for the nation’s desperate-to-survive fake news services.  Thus, when the story came out that a large magnolia tree on the White House grounds that was planted during the presidency of Andrew Jackson almost 200 years ago was going to need to be removed because it was in imminent danger of falling over, some fake news services couldn’t resist trying to turn this seemingly non-controversial story into click-bait.
  • The story originated with CNN, the king of all the news-faking services.  Stunningly, the fake journalists and editors at CNN actually played this story straight, reporting correctly that, while the final decision on the tree’s fate fell to First Lady Melania Trump – since the First Lady is always responsible for the maintenance of the White House grounds – she made the decision based on the strong recommendations of the National Park Service.  CNN amazingly reported this story correctly, by-the-numbers, with a tame headline that reads “Exclusive:  Iconic White House Tree To Be Cut Down.”  All of which was – in perhaps a first for the struggling cable network – 100% true.
  • But then the secondary fake media outlets got involved, and, acting as the pack of sewer rats they truly are, decided to turn the story into clickbait with inflammatory headlines blaming the First Lady for the fate of the poor, defenseless tree, and a social media firestorm of mindless hatred from social justice warriors was born.  Newsweek‘s tweet headline reads “Melania Trump Orders Removal of Near-200 Year-old Tree From White House”.  The creeps at The Hill ran with the even more ridiculous “Melania Trump removing White House tree that’s stood since early 1800s”, implying that the evil wife of the evil Trump would be taking an axe to the damn tree, presumably while dressed in her spiked heels and a red dress adorned with swastikas.
  • And just like that, a new social media SJW cause du jour was made up out of whole cloth by a bunch of snot-nosed interns who man the Twitter desks at the various fake news media click bait operations.  None of which is especially surprising, of course, other than the fact that CNN, the fakest fakety fake news outlet of them all, happened to be the one among all of them that actually just reported the facts of the story.
  • All of which proves yet again that the Christmas season truly is a time of miracles.
Just another day in Fake News Media America.
That is all.
