Tired of all this Winning yet? Part I – Remember how, according to all your liberal friends, President Donald Trump (I never tire of typing those three words) is supposed to be a racist? Yeah, that cat don’t flush. The African American unemployment rate dropped to 6.8% in December, its lowest recording since records began being kept in 1972. Hispanic unemployment was 4.9%, a near-all-time record. Both measures were well below levels during the Obama years.
Tired of all this Winning yet? Part II – Newsbusters has a great list this morning of 10 leftist propaganda films that flopped bigly at the box office in 2017.
Tired of all this Winning yet? Part III – The Washington Times has a nice piece on all the global warming scam films that also tanked hugely at the box office last year. Truly, it was a terrible year for Hollywood in general, but it was an absolutely awful year to preach leftwing dogma to the American public.
Speaking of leftist culture rot, the young grandson in the re-boot of the sitcom Roseanne dresses like a girl. Well, of course he does. The leftist fake journalists at Entertainment Weekly call the character “one of the more enlightened updates” to the show. Well, of course they do. Get ready to see the re-boot of Roseanne on lists of 10 leftwing TV shows that bombed during 2018.
And about that leftist culture rot, the rotten bosses at Disney are now under fire for hiring white actors to fill minor crowd scene roles in their filming of the Will Smith-starring live action version of Aladdin. It seems that, rather than take the time to try to find actual Asian actors to fill the roles, Disney’s producers chose to just spray tan a bunch of white people instead. Per the Times of London, “Extra Kaushal Odedra, 32, was a stand in for a lead star in the film and told the Times he saw up 20 ‘very fair skinned’ actors waiting to have their skin darkened in make up tents. He also claimed Caucasian extras were even being browned up for crowd shots. ‘Disney are sending out a message that your skin colour, your identity, your life experiences amount to nothing that can be powered on and washed off’.” Oh, the humanity.
OJ Simpson, who swore on his release from prison that he just wanted to live a quiet and peaceful life away from the limelight, has announced plans to sue the Cosmopolitan hotel/casino in Las Vegas for at least $100 million. The reason? The Cosmopolitan recently permanently banned Simpson from the premises for being drunk and disruptive. That’s the Simpson idea of a “quiet and peaceful” life.
Hey, if Jon Snow did it, why can’t OJ? – Ok, so, actor Kit Harrington, a Hollywood male rarity who has not been accused of sexually abusing anyone yet, was tossed out of a New York City bar called Barfly Friday for being “drunk and disorderly.” No word if he plans to sue for $100 million, but hey, it’s all the rage these days.
But if we did that you’d have to hide your stupidity. – A professor of political science at Diablo Valley College, one Albert Ponce, was caught on tape advocating the violent overthrow of U.S. democracy by one of his students. In truth, this is really nothing new on college campuses. I personally had a history teacher in the late ’70s who began his lecture on the first day of class by telling his students that “There are two great political figures in modern times: Fidel Castro and Jimmy Carter.” Things went downhill from there that semester.
Stuff like this is why Trump got elected. – The Washington Free Beacon is reporting that $50,000 of your federal taxes are going to pay for a program whose goal is to get more women blogging…in India. I swear I don’t make this stuff up. Who could?
While all of this stuff was going on, the President is spending the weekend in Camp David with a group of congressional leaders and his “inner circle” of advisors and cabinet members. Very tellingly, our sleepy, pot-obsessed Attorney General Jeff Sessions was not among them. #Priorities, Jeff. Think about them.
Just another day in Donald Trump’s America.
That is all.
