Trump Dominates the G7, and the Globalist Community Can’t Stand it

Today’s Campaign Update

(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

Godspeed, Charles Krauthammer – I read Dr. Charles Krauthammer’s letter on Friday with feelings fondness and sadness.  I’ve been a big fan of his writing – and later of his commentary on the Fox All-Star panel discussions – for at least 30 years now, so the news that he has only a few more weeks to live in this life is something I find to be profoundly sad, although I’ve had a feeling for months now that this news was coming.

Dr. Krauthammer won a Pulitzer Prize in 1985 for his commentaries, back when Pulitzer Prizes were awarded for actual, outstanding contributions to journalism and not for the sort of fake news hackery for which several CNN employees were awarded a few weeks ago.  Krauthammer won that Prize for good reason:  He was the best in the business, and remained so for many years afterwards.

I did not always agree with Krauthammer – he was a notorious #NeverTrump adherent throughout 2015 and 2016, after all – but I always looked forward to his viewpoint, because he was unerringly able to make his case through supportable logic and wit.  Other #NeverTrumpers whose names I won’t name could learn much from the Doctor in this regard.

Bret Baier and his occasional fill-in hosts have had a difficult time finding adequate replacements for Krauthammer, and the All-Star panel will never be the same without him.  Unlike many of the others who try unsuccessfully to fill the void, the Doctor was always able to disagree without resorting to hyperbole or disagreeable tactics.

Logic, facts and wit were all he ever needed.  He was one of a kind, and will be extremely missed.

He’s good enough, he’s sexy enough, and doggonit, the ladies like him. – Disgraced ex-Senator Al Franken received some defending he probably didn’t want, given the source, on Friday when disgraced ex-President and lifelong woman abuser Bill Clinton decided to weigh in on his case.  Somehow I’m thinking Franken would have preferred for ol’ Slick to just leave bad enough alone.  Just a guess.

Sacre’ bleu – he really means that ‘America first’ nonsense? – Oh, golly, our G7 “allies” are all verklempt at President Donald Trump over the import tariffs he has gone about implementing recently.  The President was singularly unperturbed about all the bitter scorn he was getting from the Angela Merkels and boy leaders of France and Canada, repeatedly expressing his certainty that those countries and others will ultimately come around and negotiate more equitable tariff deals rather than simply endure the reciprocal tariffs the U.S. has recently implemented

Most of these other countries – France, Germany, Great Britain, Italy and Japan – have enjoyed essentially being on the U.S. dole since the end of World War II.  The U.S. started what has become a 70+ year massive transfer of wealth to those nations with the implementation of the Marshall Plan in 1948, and has expanded on that initial $13 billion outlay ever since.

President after president and congress after congress have agreed to enact one-sided tariff policies that overwhelmingly advantage these other nations’ economies, adding Canada and Mexico to this wealth-and-jobs-draining mix in the mid-1990s with the NAFTA deal and adding China in more recently for good measure.  Our country has, for what were initially valid reasons, also relieved the Europeans and Canada from the burden of having to truly pay for their own military defense, spending hundreds of billions of dollars every year by having our own military personnel bases, missiles and other tools of war stationed on Eastern Europe and Japan even today, long after the Soviet Union disappeared and the economies of Germany and Japan recovered to world power stature.

To make matters even more absurd, Barack Obama and John Kerry chose to elevate this massive transfer of U.S. wealth to these other countries by committing our country to the heinous Paris Climate Accords, which were every bit the massive fraud on the American public that the Iran deal was.  These Accords had literally nothing to do with “climate” and everything to do with transferring trillions more U.S. dollars to the other signatory nations over the course of 15 years.

Want proof?  As of today, the United States is the only nation earth that is not a signatory to this fraudulent agreement, and is also the only nation on earth that has actually met and exceeded its emissions reductions “goals” under the deal.  Of course all those other countries are upset – they were all looking forward to getting their slice of that gigantic pie.

So it’s no surprise that Merkel and Macron and the Boy Prince of Canada are bitter:  They see a money spigot that has flowed from the United States of America for decades beginning to slow and have no idea how they’re going to tell their citizens that their economies are going to have to bear the cost of fielding real militaries and pay their own ways.  They’re like a couple of parents who have sponged off their rich uncle for decades suddenly having to face telling their 30 year-old kids they’re going to have to move out of the house because they’ve been cut off by Uncle Sam.

But here’s the big secret the fake news media in this country won’t tell you:  President Trump isn’t looking to cut all these spoiled children states off completely – he never promised that.  He’s simply looking for concessions from them that are substantial enough to give him the ability to keep his campaign promise of negotiating a “better deal for America.”

Canada is a great example:  The Canadian government has for many years shipped Chinese goods into the U.S. tariff-free under NAFTA due to a specific exemption in that treaty.  All the Boy Prince has to do is concede on that inherently unfair provision and the rest of NAFTA will remain largely intact.  The other countries in the G7 have their own inherently unfair tariff provisions that are unreasonable and should be conceded in order to avoid an outright trade war that benefits no one.

It isn’t 1948 anymore – if Italy’s economy is still a wreck, the United States has no responsibility for that.  If Germany has idiotically assumed the societal burden of importing more than a million Muslim refugees into its country, that was not America’s decision.  If England’s economy is struggling under the growing burdens of creeping fascim, America did not do that.  Sorry.

These other leaders dislike President Trump because, unlike most of his post-WWII predecessors, he refuses to smile and keep up the globalist lie.  He’s exposing them for the leeches they have long been, and won’t be giving in.  They all know this, they know the difficulties this new reality will cause them at home, and really have no idea how they’re going to deal with it all.

America First.  Finally, a U.S. President who means that when he says it.  Despite all the warnings Trump gave them throughout 2015 and 2016, these other national leaders never believed he would follow through.

Just another day of Trump putting America first.

That is all.

The Campaign Update Week In Review: Winning. Sooooo Much Winning.

So, let’s review the week we have just experienced, because it will be remembered as the week the tide truly turned:

  • Humiliation for pretty much every major fake media outlet:  CNN, Reuters, Bloomberg, ABC, NBC, CBS, MSNBC, WaPo and NPR.  Somehow, the NYTimes escaped major embarrassment, unless I missed something.  Sheer luck, no doubt.
  • The Mueller coup d’etat effort began to come unraveled, as detailed in Friday morning’s Campaign Update.
  • Supreme court upholds Trump travel ban on a 7-2 decision.
  • The Trump economy is booming, and our pathetic ex-President is wandering around the country desperately trying to take credit for it.
  • ISIS is in utter and complete shambles, a story the fake news media is desperately ignoring.
  • Roy Moore is headed for a landslide win in next Tuesday’s special election, as pretty much all of his accusers have been shown to be liars.
  • Trump announces U.S. will finally move its embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem.  Democrats and media go insane with rage.
  • Al Franken and John Conyers have been run out of congress by their Democrat colleagues, who are desperately searching for a new angle of attack against President Trump, now that their whole “Russia Collusion” fantasy has collapsed.
  • Justice Department initiates investigation into Planned Parenthood’s trafficking in baby body parts.
  • Bad actors in the FBI and Justice Department are being systematically marginalized.
  • The biggest tax cut in American history being negotiated in conference committee.
  • And did I mention that the Trump economy is booming?  I did? That’s ok, it can’t be pointed out often enough.

Just another week in I cannot get enough of this #WINNING  America.

That is all.

President Trump Should Let Chuck And Nancy Have Their Government Shut-Down

  • First Lady Melania Trump stopped in at a local Whataburger while on a visit to Corpus Christi on Wednesday.  While the nitwits who infest Vanity Fair and the NYTimes are surely only interested in which shoes she wore to order her Whataburger with cheese and fries, I am officially in awe of our First Lady after that gesture to the people of Texas.  If you’ve never had a Whataburger and aren’t familiar with the company’s history and the place it occupies in Texas culture, you won’t understand why.  But trust me, every native Texan does.
  • It’s Senator Smalley Day in the U.S. Senate! – That’s right:  Today is the day when the terminally smarmy jackass Senator from Minnesota – who, let’s all never forget, acquired his seat solely due to massive voter fraud – announces that he has decided he is gropey enough, he’s perverted enough, and dog-gonnit, women hate him.  Because of all of that, he will resign his illegitimately-obtained seat and let Minnesota’s Democrat Governor appoint his replacement, who will get to serve through 2020.  Couldn’t happen to a nicer guy.
  • After congress passed an actual law in 1995 mandating the U.S. move its embassy in Israel from Tel Aviv to the Israeli capital of Jerusalem, President Bill Clinton signed the law and promised to get it done, but then caved in to pressure from the terrorists who run Palestine because they said it would negatively impact the Middle East “peace process.”  George W. Bush, when running for president in 2000, also promised to make this move, but then, once in office, caved in to pressure from the terrorists who run Palestine because they said it would negatively impact the Middle East “peace process.”   Barack Hussein Obama, when running for president in 2000, also promised to make this move, but then, once in office, caved in to pressure from the terrorists who run Palestine because they said it would negatively impact the Middle East “peace process.”  Are we beginning to detect a pattern here?
  • Donald J. Trump, when running for president in 2016, promised to make this move, and then, once in office, began to receive massive pressure from the terrorists who run Palestine not to do it, because they said it would negatively impact the Middle East “peace process.”  Faced with the previous 22 years of the very definition of insanity, President Trump yesterday realized that there is no “peace process” if our country keeps just giving in to the terrorists who run Palestine, and announced that he’s going to actually obey the law congress passed in 1995, and move the U.S. embassy to Jerusalem, where it has always belonged.  So nice to have a POTUS who doesn’t pander to terrorists, and who is actually focused on keeping the promises he made during his campaign.
  • This action by President Trump is, in a microcosm, the main reason why he is POTUS today.  He was elected to do the things his weak-kneed predecessors refused to do, to use the office of the presidency to protect the interests of American citizens and America’s allies, priorities that no president has really focused on since Ronald Reagan.
  • All of which brings me to this week’s negotiations over extending the continuing resolution that keeps the government funded.  With Chuck Schumer and San Fran Nan threatening to shut down the government because they want amnesty for all the “Dreamers”, weak-kneed Republicans in congress are running scared because they know the fake news media will put the blame for the shut-down on them.
  • My question to them is, so what?  Have you learned nothing from history?  The last time the Republicans got blamed by the fake news media for shutting down the federal government was 2013, when Ted Cruz single-handedly dragged the party kicking and screaming to negotiate something meaningful into the budget bill under consideration at the time.  14 months later, the GOP went on to win a massive tidal wave victory in the next mid-term congressional elections in 2014.  Why?  Because by shutting down the government, even for just a few days, Republicans in congress energized their base by demonstrating they actually do have the ability to stand for something.
  • But this week, every congressional Republican is begging President Trump to save them from getting blamed for shutting down the government again.  What is wrong with this picture?  Do these people never learn that they are going to get negative media treatment no matter what they do, for the simple fact that they are Republicans?  How many times must that lesson be pounded into their brains before they quit hitting their head up against the same brick wall?
  • Now is the time to do something meaningful, folks.  Just kicking the can down the road for the thousandth time only helps the Democrats.  Not only should the GOP refuse to include anything about the “Dreamers” in this CR, they should refuse to pass anything that doesn’t include funding for the border wall.  This constant surrendering in the face of the first sign of adversity is the main reason why congressional Republicans are detested by a growing number of naturally Republican voters.
  • This is a potential teaching moment for President Trump.  There is no doubt his instinct will be to let Chuck and Nancy shut the government down if they want to, and then get on this Twitter feed and pound them for as long as it lasts.  That’s exactly what he should do, for the benefit of the Republican Party and the country.
  • The Republicans in congress have been repeating this exact failed strategy in budget negotiations for far too long.  It’s up to President Trump to stop the insanity.  Shut.  It.  Down.

Just another day in stop the madness America.

That is all.

The Kate Steinle Verdict Cements California’s Status As America’s Only 3rd World State

  • Can we accelerate that whole CalExit process, please? – A jury of 12 Californians found themselves unable to find Jose Zarate guilty of the murder Kate Steinle on a San Francisco Pier in 2015.  If you had any prior doubts that California has devolved into a pathetic 3rd world country, this decision should resolve them.
  • In a tweet, President Trump called the verdict “disgraceful,” but it’s worse than that.  The O.J. Simpson verdict was a disgrace to the legal system, but at least one could understand the racial grievances against the LAPD that were at play in that case.  No such grievances were at play in the Zarate case.  If anything, our society had been far to racially sensitive with this scumbag, who had been deported five times prior to his killing of Steinle because of his criminal nature, only to come right back into our country thanks to Barack Obama’s lax border security policies.
  • No, this verdict isn’t merely “disgraceful,” it’s un-American.  And if Californians no longer wish to be part of America and its legal system, this slap in the face of American values indicates that perhaps the time has come for America to oblige them.
  • Thursday was a really bad day for John Conyers.  First, he announced he would not be seeking re-election next year, in the hopes that that meaningless gesture would tamp down the growing pressure on him to resign.  When it became obvious by late morning that wasn’t going to do the trick, Conyers then let it leak that he would be announcing his retirement come January, a transparent delaying tactic made in the hopes that the whole controversy would have escaped the short attention span of the fake news media by then.  After all, what with the exposures of the likes of Mark Halperin, Charlie Rose, Matt Lauer and so many others still to come, the media has its own problems.
  • But no, that wasn’t going to work for the embattled Democrat sex-abusing “icon”.   So, early in the afternoon, he had his people announce that he had checked into the hospital due to “stress-related” problems, hoping to garner a little sympathy from the public, the fake media and his colleagues.  But man, even that didn’t work, and when that doesn’t work for an 88 year-old serial sex abuser, ain’t nothing gonna work.  Thus, by mid-afternoon, even San Fran Nan Pelosi understood that, and at a hastily-called press conference, the face of the Democrat Party, who had just four days before referred to the dean of the House in such glowing terms finally, at long last, called for his resignation.   For any Democrat, when even the soulless House Majority Leader is forced to come around and condemn you, you know you’ve got a problem.
  • But Conyers soldiered on into the late evening, having his wife accuse a group of fake reporters assembled outside the front door of the Conyers home in Detroit of racism, asking them if they do the same thing to white people?  Well, yeah, we all know they do frequently go after white people like this – the fake media is pretty much equal opportunity when it comes to staging such scenes –  but in this instance, the Conyers clan does appear to have a legitimate claim of racial bias.  The thing is, the claim would be better leveled at the leaders of the Democrat Party rather than fake journalists.
  • After all, Senator Al Franken found himself targeted by yet another accuser on Thursday – a military member who claims Franken groped her while on a USO tour in 2003 – and no one in the Democrat Party was calling for his resignation.  It is certainly reasonable for the Conyers family to ask why that is.  This makes six women now who have accused the former bad comic of some form of sexual assault, yet the Democrat Party refuses to do the right thing.
  • Not a single Democrat has called for Franken’s resignation in the two weeks since the first allegation of his bad behavior came to light.  Not one.  This in spite of the fact that we even have pictures of Franken sexually assaulting Leeann Tweeden.  If you’re John Conyers and his family, it would certainly seem reasonable to ask why the Democrats are targeting your family member while leaving the pasty-white Senator from Minnesota alone.

Just another day in California needs to leave America.

That is all.

Media Lapdogs – The Great Enablers of Sexual Abuse on Capitol Hill

  • BOOM!  As I’m writing this morning’s Update, Down Goes Lauer!  Down Goes Lauer!  Down Goes Lauer!  More on this tomorrow.
  • Melanie Sloan, a former top communications aide to 88 year-old Democrat Congressman John Conyers, told an interviewer on Tuesday of an instance in which Conyers called her to his office when he was in his underwear.  “I was pretty taken aback to see my boss half-dressed,” she told The Washington Post. “I turned on my heel and I left.”  Alrighty, then.  Ms. Sloan has leveled sexual harassment allegations at Conyers that date back to 1997, 20 years ago.
  • The unfortunately named Bob Weiner (no word if he hails from the Anthony Weiner clan), who served as Conyers’ communications director from 1994 to 2000, told a group of reporters assembled outside Conyers’ congressional office that, “Something else that people need to know: his closet is in his office right here. He changes clothes in his office.”  So that makes it all ok, then.  Right?
  • Ok, no it doesn’t.  Over the last 20 years I’ve visited dozens, perhaps hundreds of congressional offices, and can personally attest to the fact that pretty much all those offices have closets in them.  No doubt it is common for members of congress – men and women alike – to change clothes in their offices.  In fact, it has become increasingly common for some members of congress to actually live in their offices while in Washington, rather than go to the great expense of trying to keep a home in the nation’s capital.  And no doubt, staffers from time to time accidentally walk in on their boss while he or she is in the process of changing.  That’s the kind of oops moment that happens to everyone in life.
  • That is entirely different than a boss – any boss – asking his subordinate to come into his office, only to find him standing there in his underwear.  It is really not hard for any thinking person to make that simple distinction in circumstances.  But if your name is Bob Weiner, it’s apparently a very complex matter.
  • Look, John Conyers needs to be run out of congress on a rail.  The allegations by Ms. Sloan weren’t even the worst made against him this week.  The worst came from long-time fake journalist swamp creature Cokie Roberts, who smirkingly told her colleagues on ABC’s This Week that she and her fellow female fake journalist colleagues have “talked about for years: ‘Don’t get in the elevator with him,’ you know, and the whole every-female in the press corps knew that, right, don’t get in elevator with him.”  Wait, what?
  • This statement by Roberts is perhaps more damaging to the fake press corps than it is to Congressman Conyers himself.  So, every woman covering Capitol Hill has known for many years that, if you get on an elevator with this guy, you’re probably going to be sexually assaulted?  This isn’t funny, it’s not cute, it’s not something for any real journalist to be smirking about on national television.  If what Cokie says is true, this guy has been a menace to women for decades, given that it has been decades since Ms. Roberts was actually a reporter who actively walked the halls of the congressional office buildings.
  • Even more disgusting, Cokie’s comments mean that she believes that literally every woman in the Capitol Hill press corps has been actively covering up Conyers’ abuse of women for decades.  It raises the question of whether Conyers would have received similar cover from the women of the press if he were a Republican, instead of a fellow Democrat.
  • This lapdog behavior by all these fake journalists is one of the main reasons why many members of congress have been able to skate by for the last 22 years while paying out more than $18 million from a taxpayer-funded slush fund to settle complaints involving sexual harassment and other wrongdoing.
  • It’s important to remember that Conyers and Sen. Al Franken are just the tip of a vast iceberg here.  As more and more accusations of sexual abuse by members of congress come out, it will be important for the public to judge how long the abuse has been going on, and why the press never reported on it.
  • Because, just like in Hollywood, when you have a serial abuser running around, everyone knows about it, just like Cokie and all her female fake reporter colleagues have always known about John Conyers.

Just another day in everyone always knows America.

That is all.

Keith Olbermann Loses Another Gig, All Is Right With The World

  • Sen. Al Franken kicked off an apology tour on Monday with a press conference in which he said he will “learn from” his “mistakes”, mistakes that he claims to not remember making.  Not sure how that will really work, but hey, he’s a member of congress, so those were just talking points written by someone else, so…
  • He’s had a sudden change of heart.  Very, very sudden. – Don’t look now, but there’s a new write-in candidate in the Alabama senate race, a guy named Lee Busby.  Mr. Busby, a retired Marine Colonel for whose service we should all be thankful, claims to be an “establishment conservative”.  He’s so “conservative”, in fact, that he was recently spotted at a fundraiser for…wait for it…oh, you gotta wait for this one…extreme liberal Democrat candidate DOUG JONES!  I swear I don’t make this stuff up.  Who could?
  • “Pocahontas” is her first name.  Her middle name is “Hypocrite”. – After President Donald Trump (I still never tire of typing those words) referred to her as “Pocahontas” at a White House event honoring WWII-era Navajo Code Talkers, Sen. Elizabeth Warren accused the President of uttering a “racial slur.”  At this point it is instructive to note that Sen. Warren spent most of her adult life falsely pretending to be a Native American in order to secure high-paying teaching jobs at Ivy League institutions.
  • All that tut-tutting and harrrrummmphing you heard yesterday was emanating from the halls of CNN and the NYTimes. – The President had a very busy day trolling leftwingers on Monday, issuing the following Tweet before the Code Talker event:  “We should have a contest as to which of the Networks, plus CNN and not including Fox, is the most dishonest, corrupt and/or distorted in its political coverage of your favorite President (me). They are all bad. Winner to receive the FAKE NEWS TROPHY!”  Never.  Stop.  Tweeting.  PLEASE.
  • Where have we heard this record before? – Lunatic left-wing commentator, or something, Keith Olbermann, used the whole dustup between the President and Sen. Running-Off-At-The-Mouth as his smokescreen for “ending all political commentary in all venues.”  In other words, Olbermann, who has been fired so many times by so many media outlets it’s hard to count, was most likely fired by his only current outlet, the dying GQ Magazine, where he has been delivering amateurishly-recorded anti-Trump tirades from a set that looks like it was built by my pre-school aged grand-daughter for the last year or so.
  • In a farewell Tweet (we must assume he’s also giving up his Twitter account, since that technically counts as an “outlet” for his unhinged “commentaries”), the former bad sports newsreader for the also-dying ESPN had this to say:   “After “Pocahontas,” Trump’s an ex-president waiting to happen – imminently. So this will be the last episode of . If you’re a political account and I unfollow you it ain’t personal. And I recommend everybody follow @ddale8“.  Don’t ask me who @ddale8 is, because I have no idea and do.  not.  care.
  • In his ostensibly ‘final’ video, the nutjob told his half-dozen loyal fans that, “I’m especially proud to have done these [187] videos for free and for charity but, frankly, I have not enjoyed one minute of it…it has been unadulterated pain and revulsion and horror.”  Think about that:  This guy is such a clown he just got removed from an unpaid job by a publication that is literally dying to attract attention, any kind of attention at all.
  • As for the “unadulterated pain and revulsion and horror,” that is obviously how most Americans react to pretty much anything Mr. Olbermann has ever had to say in those 187 unpaid “commentaries.”  Which is why, as of today, the guy who couldn’t keep a job at Fox Sports, couldn’t keep a job at ESPN, couldn’t keep a job at MSNBC, couldn’t keep a job at something called Current News and couldn’t keep a job at ESPN2, now can’t even keep an unpaid gig with a dying publication that is obviously willing to host literally anything that is anti-Trump on its website.
  • Hey Keith, don’t let the door hit you in the ass on the way out. – Signed, America.

Just another day in Keith Olbermann is unemployed yet again America.

That is all.

The Congressional Protection Racket Forms Up Around Franken and Conyers

Today’s Campaign Update

  • Senator Al Franken said on Sunday that he is “embarrassed and ashamed” over his apparent obsession with grabbing womens’ butts over the years, but not so embarrassed or ashamed that he plans to give up his job in the U.S. Senate, where he will report for booty, er, duty today.  Let’s hope he and Roy Moore get to serve on the same committees should Moore begin a senate term in January – the hearings will make for tremendous political theater.
  • She meant “zero tolerance for thee, not for me.” – Meanwhile, if you’re wondering why Alabama’s Republican voters might still elect Judge Moore to the senate in spite of the allegations arrayed against him, look no further than Sunday morning’s interview by San Fran Nan Pelosi on NBC’s Meet the Press.  Pelosi has spent the last few weeks shrieking that Moore should leave the race because his accusers must – MUST, I say – be believed,  and that congress should have “zero tolerance” for sex abusers.  But, when asked if that “zero tolerance” should apply to Democrat Cong. John Conyers, who has also been accused by several women of disgusting episodes of sexual harassment, she told NBC’s fake host Chuck Todd that Conyers deserves “due process. Just because someone is accused…was it one accusation, is it two?…John Conyers is an icon in our country. He has done a great deal to protect women.”  *sigh*
  • When Republican and independent voters in Alabama see such a rank double-standard being practiced not only by the fake news media, but also by the literal national face of the Democrat Party, it naturally reduces their willingness to believe the allegations facing Judge Moore.  After all, if, as Pelosi clearly implies, the accusers actually aren’t to just be believed out of hand, then why should they buy into the allegations against Moore, when the only actual evidence presented thus far – the supposed signature in one accuser’s high school yearbook – has pretty much conclusively been demonstrated to be a forgery?
  • So, Franken and Conyers get protected by both their fellow Democrats and by Republicans Mitch McConnell and Paul Ryan, who have begun “investigations” into their behavior by the Office of Congressional Ethics (OCE).  This is akin to siccing Inspector Clouseau onto the paths of serial killers.  Placing these matters in the hands of the OCE simply means that nothing will happen for many months, as the “investigation” proceeds at a snail’s pace, in the hopes that it will all fade from the public’s collective memory in the meantime.  Then, once the “investigation” is completed, the results will be quietly released at about 6:30 ET on a Friday evening – preferably at the start of a holiday weekend – so as to incur the minimum possible media attention.
  • It’s a bi-partisan protection racket. – But of course, we all must keep in mind that it isn’t just Democrat members of congress who have much to lose here – it’s Republicans, too.  Conyers’ lawyer threatened over the weekend that, if his client goes down, he will take lots of other members of congress down with him.  That probably won’t be too hard for Conyers to achieve, given that a congressional slush fund has payed out roughly $18 million over the last 20 years in settlements of sexual harassment cases.  Oh, the humanity!
  • Their rush to protect Franken and Conyers by calling for OCE “investigations” doesn’t necessarily mean McConnell and Ryan have anything to hide themselves, but they do no doubt have many members of their respective houses of congress to protect, and they’re wasting no time doing it.  After all, whether Republican or Democrat, members of congress, like Ryan, McConnell and Pelosi, are members of America’s protected, ruling class.  They have all become quite accustomed to exempting themselves from the laws and mandated behaviors that apply to the rest of us, and they’ll be damned if they’re going to go down without a fight.
  • No one ever said that draining the DC Swamp was going to be easy.

Just another day in congressional protection racket America.

That is all.

Kathleen Parker Proves The Moore Campaign Right About The Washington Post

Today’s Campaign Update

  • The reliable Democrat shills at the Associated Press have a lovely puff piece out this morning on Sen. Al Franken’s growing groping scandal.  The piece, titled “Franken’s rising political star obscured by accusations”, portrays the SNL refugee as an intrepid pursuer of truth, justice and the leftist way, all the while putting his serial degrading and groping of women in the best light possible.
  • My favorite part is the following paragraph:  “It’s always a great disappointment when leaders you like and admire do bad stuff,” said Mike Lux, a liberal Democratic consultant. He said it was premature to say how the allegations would affect Franken’s career. But, Lux added, “If more incidents come to light, he’s got a real problem.”  So, just so we’re keeping score here, four gropes and abuses of women is ok for a Democrat Senator.  But any more than that, why, he’s got a problem.  Holy cow.
  • So good of you to finally point that out. – Meanwhile, the #NeverTrump nitwits who run the National Review published a piece by Deroy Murdock on Thanksgiving Day that contains unbridled praise of …wait for it…DONALD TRUMP!  I kid you not, Mr. Murdock, who is a contributing editor for TNR, has awakened to the fact that, as he puts it, “The Never Trump faction still claims that the president of the United States “is no conservative.” And yet, with rare deviations (such as free trade), he spends nearly every day implementing the conservative agenda.”  Ahem.  Some of us have been telling you guys this for ten months now.  Welcome to the party, pal.
  • The Award for The Most Absurd Global Warming Claim of the Month goes to a group of chemists at the UK’s universities of Reading, Bristol and Bath, who issued a report this week claiming that frying foods is now causing the earth to heat up.  I swear I don’t make this stuff up.  Who could?
  • It’s a dirty job, but somebody’s gotta do it. – In case you still harbor reservations about how much you love the job Sarah Huckabee Sanders is doing as White House Press Secretary, read this column from Kathleen Parker at the Washington Post, and you’ll lose all doubt.  Ms. Parker, who used to pretend to be a conservative but now just spends her column space endlessly whining about the Trump presidency, complains that Ms. Sanders “humiliates the media on a daily basis.”  Ummmmm…yeah, so?  Is there a point here?
  • Ms. Parker’s big complaint – her last straw with Ms. Sanders, apparently – was that Sanders began her press briefing on Wednesday by – gasp! – asking various members of the press corps to talk about one thing for which they are actually thankful.  It seems that, in Parker’s mind, asking this band of eternal grumps to say one positive thing about anything amounts to “humiliating” them.  “Yet again, she controlled the crowd, though this time by candy-coating her usual condescension with faux fellowship,” Parker wrote.  “I’m thankful I wasn’t in the room.”  Alrighty, then.
  • But Parker wasn’t done, oh, no, she wasn’t:  “For a press secretary to require professional journalists to essentially beg for their supper, surrendering their adversarial posture like a dog commanded to Drop The Bone, is an infantilizing tactic.  The effect is to neutralize the opposition.”
  • First of all, what “professional journalists” would those be?  The White House press corps is nothing but the single biggest collection of fake journalists on the planet.  There isn’t a real journalist among this gaggle of primping, preening asshats.
  • Second, how does asking any person to talk about one positive thing in their life “infantilize” them?  If the price of adulthood is chronic grumpiness, someone failed to point that out to about 99% of the people on this planet.  Kathleen Parker, though, obviously got the memo.
  • Third, on that part about “surrendering their adversarial posture like a dog commanded to Drop The Bone,” well, this particular pack of dogs dropped those bones for eight long, disgusting Obama years that amounted to a disgrace to the entire profession of journalism.  So spare us that nonsense, Kathy.
  • On Wednesday, a spokesman for the Roy Moore campaign referred to the Washington Post as a “worthless piece of crap.”  Ms. Parker’s column presents irrefutable proof of the accuracy of that assessment.

Just another day in worthless crap journalism America.

That is all.

Liberals Politicize Everything, Especially Sexual Harassment

Today’s Campaign Update

  • The people of Atlanta did the smart thing today with their decrepit, run-down old domed football stadium:  They imploded it.  Hopefully, this will serve as an object lesson to the people of Houston, who keep spending millions of dollars on goofy schemes to turn the Astrodome into a parking lot or a hotel or a park.  Stop the madness, people!
  • Hey, y’all, Oakland Raiders running back Marshawn Lynch actually stood for the national anthem on Sunday!  Wait, what’s that?  The game was played in Mexico City and it was the Mexican national anthem?  He stood for that after sitting on the bench while the Star Spangled Banner was played?  Is Marshawn Lynch a Mexican citizen?  No?  Well, did Mexico do something to help him become the fabulously wealthy ignoramus he is today?  No?  I’m so confused.  Let’s move on.
  • Ok, but there is good news today:  Charles Manson finally died.  So that’s something.  The only shame of it is that he got to live to the ripe old age of 83 before it happened.  Better late than never.
  • He isn’t resigning his senate seat over his sexual harassment scandal, but I’m sure you ladies will all be thrilled to know that Al Franken is promising to do “a lot of reflecting” – according to his spokesman – over the holidays.  Because, you know, if he can just lay low and “reflect” for the next week or so, he’s hoping this will all have blown over.  And given that he’s a Democrat, and his buddies at all our fake news media outlets are going to coordinate efforts and talking points with him, he might succeed.
  • Why are any random gatherings of Democrats inevitably such cesspits of sexual harassment? – A woman in New York is charging that Governor Andrew Cuomo looked the other way as one of his employees sexually intimidated and harassed her for years:
  • “In a shocking Manhattan federal court lawsuit filed Saturday, Lisa Marie Cater alleges former Empire State Development Corp. regional president William “Sam” Hoyt got her a job at the DMV and then leveraged it to “manipulate, sexually harass and sexually assault” her.The bombshell complaint — which names Cuomo and Hoyt as defendants — says Cater contacted Cuomo’s office no less than six times but met “deliberate indifference.”
  • In all seriousness, we now have so many sexual harassment charges popping up against Democrat officeholders and Democrat supporters in Hollywood on a daily basis that it has become impossible to keep up with.  Yes, the fake news media is myopically focused on the allegations against Republican senate candidate Roy Moore, but he is without question the exception to the emerging rule that sexual harassment of women, much like voter fraud, is almost solely the province of liberal Democrats.
  • What is it in the liberal male mind that makes them think it’s OK to abuse women?  Do they think that, because they put up the public pretense of supporting “women’s issues” like abortion on demand that that somehow gives them a get out of jail free card when they try to force themselves on the nearest person wearing a skirt?
  • Well, maybe they do.  What is it about the liberal women who enable this kind of behavior in liberal men?  Hillary Clinton has spent decades handling her husband’s myriad “bimbo eruptions”, brutally attacking any woman who charged him with abuse.  When the Monica Lewinsky scandal erupted, Gloria Steinem famously penned a NY Times op/ed piece in support of the abuser, not of the women who wanted to be believed.  Why?  Because, as Steinem admitted directly in her piece, Clinton was “right” on the issues.
  • That was 20 years ago, but this enabling behavior continues in liberal women today.  Over this past weekend, we had the spectacle of the liberal nitwit celebrity Lena Dunham, who has spent the last decade shrieking (she always seems to be shrieking) that women who accuse men of this behavior must be believed, writing a letter in support of the man, when a writer for her TV show happened to be the one accused of harassment.  See, the woman must be believed, unless the woman is accusing someone Lena Dunham likes.
  • And then there are all these women in the fake news media who have been making up excuses for Al Franken’s horrid behavior over the last several days, because, like Clinton, he’s in favor of killing babies at full term.
  • So, what is it in the minds of liberal men who think it’s fine to abuse women, and what is it in the minds of liberal women who want to keep enabling them?  Easy:  Politics.  When you think it through to its logical conclusion, the answer is crystal clear.

Just another day in liberals politicize everything America.

That is all.
