It Was Border Security Action Week at the White House

Today’s Campaign Update

(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

I had no idea this was a thing. – As I sit here writing this piece, Fox & Friends is carrying a report of a pregnant mother who got mad at her little kid when he popped her “gender reveal” balloon.  Yes, friends, there is apparently such a thing as “gender reveal” balloons.  The balloon in the video is a huge black thing that, when the little kid popped it, was revealed to be filled with pink confetti.

If I understand this “report” correctly, the young mother was on her way to an actual, real “gender reveal” party – which is also apparently a thing now – where the idea would be to pop the damn balloon and fill someone else’s home with that gross pink confetti as her means of letting everyone know she would be giving birth to a girl.  What, you couldn’t just send everyone an email?

My goodness.

Well, that escalated quickly. – In Thursday’s Campaign Update, I advised you all that the ordering of National Guard troops to help patrol the southern border would not be the only executive action President Trump would take to beef up border security.  One additional action I told you to expect him to take was to rescind the order by George W. Bush that implemented the so-called “catch and release” policy, which forces immigration officials to release illegal immigrants into the general population while they await a formal hearing, a hearing for which almost none of them actually show up.

It took the President exactly one day to fulfill that prediction, as he signed a memo last night ordering an end to this idiotic policy, and instructing Defense Secretary James Mattis to ” produce a list of military facilities that could be used to detain illegal immigrants.”  You can be sure the fake news media and Democrat Party already met overnight to crank out their “concentration camp” narrative to describe this new detention policy.  Because that’s what our fake news media does.

Friday was a very busy day with other efforts to beef up border security, as the Trump Administration acts to fill the gaping national security void left by a recalcitrant congress.  Attorney General Jeff Sessions directed U.S. attorneys in Texas, Arizona, New Mexico and California to prosecute all cases – not just the relative handful currently taken on – of illegal border crossers “to the extent practicable.”

This direction by the AG leaves much discretion up to the various U.S. attorneys, so we can anticipate the few remaining Obama holdovers in those states to ignore it, but it will no doubt result in increased enforcement of immigration laws, which will in turn certainly have a dampening effect on the number of attempted border crossings. When your country is literally being invaded, any action to increase security is a welcome one.

Naturally, though, the social justice warrior community was predictably outraged by the AG’s directive.   Cecillia Wang, a deputy legal director at the anti-American ACLU, was quoted as saying “This will be assembly-line justice, where large numbers of defendants are forced through the system without adequate time to consult counsel.”

Yeah, you know what?  I got no problem with that.  No problem at all.  Again, our country is being invaded by drug dealers, terrorists, and child- and sex-traffickers, and it is long past time the situation be taken seriously.  These are not U.S. citizens we are dealing with here.  These are invaders who knowingly and intentionally break our laws, and “assembly-line justice” is all the justice they’re entitled to.  More than they’re entitled to, actually.

In addition to that action by the Justice Department, the Departments of Homeland Security and Defense announced late Friday evening that the first 500 national guard troops, along with supporting equipment, vehicles and helicopters, are already on their way to their new border assignments.  To supplement the federal action, Texas Governor Greg Abbott and Arizona Governor Doug Ducey announced they’d be sending a combined 400 national guard troops to the border by their own orders.

New Mexico Governor Susana Martinez has not yet let it be known whether or not she will become part of the seditious “resistance” and work against the President’s plans to beef up border security, but California Governor Jerry Brown very predictably said he will not cooperate with any national guard deployments from his state.

Governor Brown’s gesture of opposition is ultimately a futile one, given that the POTUS has absolute authority to simply nationalize National Guard troops in any state and deploy them on his order.  But engaging in futile and seditious gestures is what California’s state government is all about these days, so no one was surprised by Brown’s latest unpatriotic announcement.  One can only hope Gov. Martinez will not lower her own state to the California standard.

Regardless, the Trump Administration’s actions to beef up border security without any help from congress this week have been swift and decisive.  And as the Campaign Update has predicted and chronicled throughout the week, they all started with a couple of presidential tweets last Saturday morning.

If you get your news from the mainstream fake news media, all of these actions came as a surprise to you, just as they came as a surprise to all the fake journalists.  Some things never change.

Just another day in fake news media America.

That is all.

Question. Wouldn’t that have been a “sex reveal” balloon? If I understand it correctly, sex is revealed at birth but gender is decided when they get to, let’s say kindergarten, because you have to be able to start taking the right hormones at an early enough age for them to be effective. OK, just shoot me writing that. ugh.

    >> All good. Illegal aliens are not US citizens. They do not have the same rights and privileges as US citizens.
